IAF Strike In Syria Hit Iranian Guards

” Iraqi daily Azzaman quoted a Western diplomatic source as saying Thursday that the alleged Israeli attack on Syria reported on Wednesday caused heavy casualties among special Iranian Guards stationed at the Syrian facility. The source also said that the attack took place more than 48 hours before it was reported, eventually being leaked by Israel.

The source for the story, who was interviewed by the paper in London, said that the report about a strike on a convoy to Lebanon was probably meant to divert attention away from the main objective of the operation, which used F-16 aircraft to fire at least eight guided missiles at the facility.

The source also said that the base was heavily fortified and contained experts from Russia and at least three thousand Iranian Revolutionary Guards, who have been guarding the site for years. Many of these Iranian Guards suffered casualties.”

DHS Revamping Immigrant Welcome Materials, Set To Include Obamacare

” The welcome materials the federal government directs new immigrants to read — which detail, among other facets of American life, how and where to get government benefits — are in the process of getting a bit of a makeover to increase accessibility for newcomers.

The WelcometoUSA.gov website, which bills itself as “the U.S. Government’s official web portal for new immigrants,” maintained by the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), will soon feature information about President Barack Obama’s signature health care legislation, USCIS spokesman Chris Bentley told The Daily Caller.”

” The text on the front page of the site has also been significantly reduced. Initially the text read:

“Welcome to the United States! On behalf of the President of the United States and the American people, we welcome you to this great nation. The United States has benefited from the contributions of immigrants since its founding more than 200 years ago, and we are certain that our newest immigrants will continue this storied legacy. As you settle into your new home, WelcometoUSA.gov will help you find basic information about the United States and your new community.” “

Mikulski’s ‘Paycheck Fairness Act’ Would Allow Employees to Discuss Salaries

Beware of anything coming out of Washington that contains the word ” Fairness ” … It will surely be anything but .

” A ‘Paycheck Fairness Act’ introduced in Congress last week would require employers to show pay disparity is related to job-performance and prohibit employer retaliation for sharing salary information with coworkers.

Senator Barbara A. Mikulski and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, both Democrats, said their legislation is aimed at closing the pay gap between men and women and would also address loopholes in the 1963 Equal Pay Act.”

Since when does the government have the right to entwine themselves into the compensation negotiations between employers and their employees ? Sounds like something cooked up by Oren Boyle and Wesley Mouch .

It’s just another way for unions to get their foot in the door and for trial lawyers to fill their coffers.

” A 14-year-old student was wounded on Thursday in a shooting outside a middle school in Atlanta and police said another student was arrested in the latest outbreak of gun violence in a U.S. school.

The afternoon shooting occurred outside Price Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia. Neither the wounded student nor the suspected shooter were identified by authorities.

The school was placed on lockdown.

Atlanta Police Department spokesman Carlos Campos said the gunshot victim was “alert, conscious and breathing” when he was taken to a local hospital.”

Wyoming House Approves Bills Exempting State From Federal Gun Control Measures

” Faced with the prospect of new federal gun restrictions, the Wyoming House gave initial approval Wednesday to bills that sponsors say would exempt guns in the state from new regulations while possibly taking the fight to criminals who might choose to attack public schools.

The House voted in favor of a bill that would seek to block the federal government from restricting assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. It amended the bill to specify that federal officials who tried to enforce any ban would be subject to state misdemeanor charges instead of felony charges.”

Ariz. Senate Panel Passes Bill Barring Enforcement Of Federal Gun Measures

Arizona SB 1112

” The bill co-sponsored by state Sen. Don Shooter, four other senators and several members of the House of Representatives would bar enforcement of new federal laws affecting semi-automatic firearms or high-capacity magazines. It also makes any federal official trying to enforce such laws guilty of a felony and allows the state Attorney General to defend anyone prosecuted for violating federal gun laws if the gun was made in Arizona, among other provisions.

Wednesday’s Senate Public Safety Committee debate pitted minority Democrats who believe the bill is unconstitutional against Republicans opposed to what they call an overreaching federal government. An identical bill has been introduced in the House, which also has seen several other gun-related bills introduced since the session began Jan 14.”

Want To Know Who Stole Your Phone?

” Want to know who’s been snooping in or has stolen your phone? A new feature has been integrated into an app for Android that snaps the prying individual’s photo and sends it to you via email.
A new feature in an app will alert the owner of a smartphone as to who stole, or is trying to snoop, in their device. According to Digital Trends, Lookout Security & Antivirus has made a recent update to its app.

Called the Lock Cam, it works in conjunction with Android devices and uses a device’s front-facing camera to snap a picture of anyone trying to break into a smartphone or tablet.

If the thief, or nosy person, tries to crack the device’s password, three strikes and they are out. After three unsuccessful tries to unlock the gadget, a photo is snapped and the image immediately emailed to the gadget’s owner. Other information sent in the message includes the GPS location of where the smartphone is currently located. “

Bob Menendez’s Alleged Underage Prostitution Scandal

” The bumps are compounded by yet another recent Menendez mini-scandal, in which an unpaid intern in his office was found to be an undocumented immigrant and registered sex offender, but wasn’t arrested until after the election. (Homeland Security said it was “categorically false” that the arrest was delayed for political purposes.) Up to this point, none of it has touched Menendez, but you know what they say about keeping certain company.

New York has the latest denial from Mendendez’s office: “Any allegations of engaging with prostitutes are manufactured by a politically-motivated right-wing blog and are false.” “

‘HE COULDN’T HAVE BEEN MORE UNCOMFORTABLE’: OBAMA INSIDER RATS HIM OUT, ‘AWKWARD’ SHOOTER PREZ HAS ONLY SHOT SKEET TWICE, ONCE FOR 5 MINUTES

” “The only time he shot skeet was for President’s Cup,” said the source, referring to a shooting competition tradition involving the presidential Marine guards. “I was there. He stayed for about five minutes, and couldn’t leave fast enough.”

Skeet shooting “is very hard,” said the source. “Especially for someone not used to guns … He couldn’t have been more uncomfortable.”

The source said a friend of his recalled Obama skeet shooting one other time at Camp David — very early on in his first term. “

Nullification Deniers! This Is What James Madison Really Said

Nullification

A thorough , detailed and link-filled post on why nullification is not only feasible but our right . Very much worth your time .

” Nullification deniers such as Matthew Spalding of Heritage Foundation, Jarrett Stepman of Human Events, law professor Randy Barnett,  David Barton of Wallbuilders, and history professor Allen C. Guelzo, say that nullification by States of unconstitutional acts of the federal government is unlawful and impossible. They make the demonstrably false assertions that:

  • States don’t have the right to nullify unconstitutional acts of the federal government because our Constitution doesn’t say they can do it;
  • Nullification is literally impossible;
  • The supreme Court is the final authority on what is constitutional and what is not; and The States and The People must submit to whatever the supreme Court says; and
  • James Madison, Father of Our Constitution, opposed nullification.

Their assertions contradict our Declaration of Independence, The Federalist Papers, our federal Constitution, and what James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and Alexander Hamilton really said.

What are the Two Conditions Precedent for Nullification?

The deniers seem unaware of the two conditions our Framers saw must be present before nullification is proper and possible. These conditions are important – you will see why!:

  • The act of the federal government must be unconstitutional –  usually a usurpation of a power not delegated to the federal government in the Constitution; and
  • The act must be something The States or The People can “nullify”- i.e., refuse to obey:  the act mustorder them to do something or not do something.

What is “Interposition” and What is “Nullification”? “

Obama’s Jobs Council Shutting Down Thursday

” President Barack Obama will let his jobs council expire this week without renewing its charter, winding down one source of input from the business community even as unemployment remains stubbornly high.

When Obama in January 2011 formed his Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, unemployment was hovering above 9 percent. Two years president later, more than 12 million people in the U.S. are out of work. The unemployment rate has improved to 7.8 percent, but both parties agree that’s still too high.

A provision in Obama’s executive order establishing the council says it sunsets on Thursday. A White House official said the president does not plan to extend it.

Officials said the president always intended for the council to fulfill its mission and then wind down, and said that Obama would continue to actively engage and seek input from business leaders about ways to accelerate job-creation and economic growth. Among the steps Obama plans to pursue are expedited permits for infrastructure projects, the White House said.”

Glad to know the Jobs Council has fulfilled it’s mission … whatever that was .

It wasn’t to create jobs that’s for sure … just another re-election ploy .

Cuomo Support Dips After Gun-Control Push

” Cuomo’s approval rating fell to 59 percent from an all-time high of 74 percent in the survey, conducted by Quinnipiac University.

That fall was driven almost entirely by Republican voters souring on the governor after he signed into law tough new gun restrictions. They included a ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines, increased penalties for purchasing illegal guns, and requirements to report potentially harmful behavior by the mentally ill. Many of the state-level provisions championed by Cuomo have also received support from President Obama, who called for new federal gun controls in the aftermath of the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn.”

Map of New York Gun Owners’ Addresses Was Inaccurate, Newspaper Admits

” The newspaper that created an online map showing the addresses of gun permit holders in New York admitted earlier this week that thousands of addresses on the map belonged to people who didn’t actually own guns.

After The Journal News used publicly available government records of gun permit holders in Rockland and Westchester, New York to create the interactive online map, many people complained to the newspaper that their addresses appeared on the map even though they did not own guns.

“Nobody ever called and verified the address,” said Mike Smith, whose address appeared on the map because his brother-in-law used it without permission when applying for a permit. “Could somebody else use my address?” “

French Interior Minister To Expel Radical Imams ‘In Coming Days’

” French Interior Minister Manuel Valls announced yesterday that, as part of the French government’s fight against radical Islam and “global jihadism,” several radical Moslem clerics were likely to be deported from France over the coming days.

As French forces, with the support of western allies, including the UK and Canada, as well as a number of African countries, made progress in liberating the cities of Gao and Timbuktu in northern Mali this week, France’s Interior Minister Manuel Valls announced a step up in the campaign against radical extremism of France’s home front, reports Les Echos. Valls said he expected France to expel a number of radical Islamist clerics over the course of the coming days. As yet, there is no information as to the identity and numbers of imams likely to be deported from France.”

CNN Axes Soledad O’Brien Because Her Audience Was “Too Ethnic?”

” “They fired her for attracting too many minority viewers?  And I thought Norman Lear changed television!!!!  What the hell kind of retrograde backward-ass outfit is CNN running over there?!  I haven’t seen this kind of outright racist thuggery since last night, ’round about 7:30, down by the Gatherin’ Bole at Skeeter’s Haller.”

Home Invasion Suspect Arrested After Woman Opens Fire

Mom Shoots Home Invader

“A home invasion suspect was arrested at a hospital after a mother shot him during the crime at a Montgomery County home, deputies said Wednesday.

Erin, who asked to be identified only by her first name, told Local 2 she was putting her 6-year-old son to bed when she heard a loud noise coming from her bedroom on Mink Lake Drive Friday night.

“I threw the cover over my son and I took off running, screaming to the living room to let my dogs out,” she said.”

Home Invasion Suspect Dies Of Gunshot Wound

Home Invader Killed

” One man was killed and another shot in the leg when they, along with three others, allegedly participated in a home invasion Monday evening where the residents fought back.

Police said Tuesday that it is still a bit unclear what prompted the five individuals, ages 19 to 23, to force their way into the Victoria Avenue home while brandishing a fake plastic gun.

Fairborn Police Sgt. Paul Hicks said the only motive they’ve uncovered was that the subjects intended to rob the home.

Two Wright State University students who live at 1006 Victoria Ave. were home when the intruders entered.

Trent Seitz, 21, reportedly struggled with the men and was ordered to the floor. He called out for his roommate, Christopher Muse, who told police that he grabbed a gun and fired at the men.

Ta’Vaun Fambrough, 19, was shot in the chest.”

Gun Control Activist Protesting How Easy It Is To Buy Guns, Is A Rapist

“Jerome McCorry organized a protest against a gun show, claiming that the gun show made it too easy to buy guns. Why did that worry him? Perhaps because because the easy availability of guns might have made his career as a rapist more dangerous. (via Instapundit)

Outside of Bill Goodman’s Gun and Knife Show, people were protesting the sale of assault weapons. Those are the guns which the proposed bill would ban inside Hara Arena.

“We know that guns are being sold on the floor inside Hara Arena illegally” said Jerome McCorry. “No background checks no identification of any kind.” “

Ex-SEIU Local Exec Convicted Of Stealing From Low-Income Members

“This was a case about abuse and betrayal,” U.S. Atty. André Birotte Jr. said in a statement after the verdict. “Freeman abused his position as leader of the SEIU, and he betrayed the hardworking people whose interests he was supposed to represent.”

Freeman, 43, faces a maximum of more than 180 years in prison when he returns to court for sentencing in April. His attorneys declined to comment.

Monday’s verdict marks the end of a steep fall from grace for a man groomed for a major role in the SEIU, the 2-million-member labor juggernaut that is a dominant force in worker organizing campaigns and Democratic elections from coast to coast.”

‘Carrying a Gun Saved My Life’: Meet Ryan Moore

” On December 11, 2010, in Conyers, GA, 22-year-old Ryan Moore was at a friend’s house for an evening of leisure. He borrowed a friend’s car to drive to the nearby grocery store, where his handgun saved his life. I interviewed Ryan Moore over e-mail about that evening.

What happened that night at the Ingles (grocery store) parking lot?

I had parked near the front of the store. A man approached as I was about to get out, asking if I had some spare money he could use for gas. After replying I didn’t have any cash, he proceeded to walk away. As I was watching him leave, I then stepped out of the vehicle and was grabbed from behind by a man who put a knife to my neck. The first man then came back and demanded my keys and wallet.

How much time did you have to react?

It took a few seconds for me to realize what was happening. Once it dawned on me, I made the decision to fight back.”

MPs Provide Safety, Security on Afghan Roads

Murray Rothbard

“Since the State necessarily lives by the compulsory confiscation of private capital, and since its expansion necessarily involves ever-greater incursions on private individuals and private enterprise, we must assert that the state is profoundly and inherently anti-capitalist.”
