This is a tough one. I can’t condone this guy out there killing people — not just cops, but their families are his targets. OTOH, I very much believe his allegations. My husband has said from the very beginning that the cops had no idea where this guy was.
I worked with mentally ill people for 15 years. Many of them are very intelligent. Very few of them are as organized as this man seems to be. Which makes me question the manifesto, because the excerpts I’ve run across sound like ranting, but what he’s doing to the police, making them chase their tails, suggests he’s not mentally ill.
Since the Cox trial here in Alaska, I’m becoming more and more convinced that the federal government is manipulating events and people to try and turn public sentiment in favor of de facto martial law. Events like this will be used to justify it. It’s heartening to see people saying “this is wrong”. OTOH, this sort of violence is not the way to address our nation’s problems.
It’s definitely a tough one.
