Martial Law: Tucson City Council Hands Authority Over to Military
” On February 20, 2013, the Tucson, Arizona City Council passed a resolution allowing the U.S. Air Force to “make appropriate decisions when balancing National Security and community needs when it comes to their existing and future military mission and assignments.”
In other words, the resolution allows the military to reject decisions made by the people of Tucson.
The resolution is posted on the Tucson government website (as of this writing) and further states that it “is necessary for the preservation of the peace, health and safety of the City of Tucson that this Resolution become immediately effective, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.” “

The Hitler style uniforms are bad enough. There should be a federal law where they do not cover their faces in an attempt to remain anonymous for their actions, as people will recognize a face and possibly never see, a name or identifier tag. The Ku Klux Klan, if I recall correctly, was ordered not to cover their faces and somehow First Amendment Rights were mentioned but denied. Then came the Muslim women covering their faces and that brought up issues despite it being recognized as part of their religious beliefs. Now we see all too many law enforcement engaging in what has been established as terror activities, because in the photo that is posted, there is a lot of uncovered skin to attempt an alibi of fire retardant face covering. Their intent is to instill fear and terror. The People, need to raise up their voices against this because a person in the role of Lawful & Authorized Terrorist, will do something, and everyone will deny it, and amid the confusion, none, will ever be held accountable for their actions. It’s a two-way street if they want to remain unknown but do all manner of harm, so then if I am ever on a jury where a person is charged with a crime and it is entered into testimony that they had their face covered, it becomes my duty to render a not guilty verdict. That would upset many prosecutors, and really screw up a lot of budgets, where monies were paid in salaries, investigations, equipment, and it all went down the crapper when the jury foreman speaks.
As a strong supporter of jury nullification I applaud your reasoning. I also agree with your rationale . This America dammit, covered faces and hidden identities have no place in a “free” society. It smacks of totalitarianism and thuggishness. If they are afraid to be recognized or ashamed of their actions they should find another line of work . It goes along with the arrogant notion that the police can demand that the public not videotape them in action . All of their business needs to be open to public scrutiny , after all they are public employees not a private army.
With Muslim terrorists crossing the borders in droves and thousands of Mexican drug cartels, the state has waited too long to address the problem. No wonder they have to cover their faces not to be identified.
Covering faces is the same as in the old days, when cops would take off their badges. There were no nameplates back then and no numbers on the helmets corresponding to shield numbers. Cops called it: “Hats and Bats, F**K the badges”.
Today, they are trying to cover their tracks and avoid criminal prosecution. If they were REAL men, they would simply go in, and do what has to be done. Not hide their faces. Why were the Ku Klux Klan members called “cowards” for wearing their traditional garb and when they cited their First Amendment Rights, the Supreme Court of the United States said that they must uncover their faces because it might “inspire” someone to do something unlawful? The cops/troops are behaving improperly. Plain and simple.
Then you should go and offer your services. Your entire family will be cut up and hung on meat cleavers within months, and you would be tortured and beheaded next. They don’t play around with those who stop them from pouring in.
The entire fault in this is the refusal to apply proper border controls years ago.

If I were on the Border, I would not cover my face. Even the Posses do not cover their faces. Politics, have ruined that region. The politicians turned it into a “race” issue against the Hispanics, when it should have been an issue against criminals. I am of Sicilian heritage and know all too damned well about tactics of Liberals pandering for votes and stereotyping people based upon fears. My family came to America in 1861, on my father’s side and we even fought in America’s Civil War, AND, a very famous General came out of my bloodline that was in that war. You stand up to the problem people, and never stand down. You make it very unsavory for them.., oh, wait, they have Rights here in America, even if they are not legally here or committing crimes here. All the Liberals cried pools of tears. The effectively neutralized the police, and now the police must hide their faces. Shame on them.
The cops aren’t hiding their faces from the criminals , they are hiding them from the public . This is not an issue of law and order , it is Statism , pure and simple . You said it yourself Brittius in a different comment . The masks are not so much for anonymity as they are for terror , and that is not to strike fear in the hearts of the criminals ( who by nature are more or less fearless ) but to cow the populace . It is psychological warfare 101 . The only way for the few to successfully rule the many is through terror not force of arms .

Exactly how are they “controlling” the citizens by sending a much needed military to an area left completely open to a huge stream of people? You’re a minority in your own country. And your Muslim population has increased by 300% in merely ten years. Do none of you realize the danger of this?
While we acknowledge the threat of Islam and agree with you that we face a ” clash of cultures” that will determine the future of the world , we fail to see how your comments are germane to the post described . The city of Tucson handed authority over to the Air Force amid much haste and secrecy and without public input in the face of some unknown “emergency” . This has nothing to do with border security . Since when does the Air Force have any jurisdiction on the border ? It is just another step down the road to nationwide martial law pur and simple .
When the situation gets really bad the military steps in. That’s no different than the UN military who basically serve as a military police. I had a friend serve in the UN. No control or force on civilians at all. Merely drastic law and order measures. What should worry you instead is how bad is the situation, exactly, that the military has to be called in?
And again, how are they “controlling” the citizens? Give real life examples how citizens have been negatively affected by this decision.
