HS Students Say Pledge In Arabic: ‘One Nation Under Allah’

” The principal at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado, is facing a hailstorm of criticism from some very angry parents and residents.

The school recites the Pledge of Allegiance weekly, on Mondays. Last Monday, a member of their “Cultural Arms Club” led the student body in an Arabic version of the pledge, replacing the words “under God” with “under Allah.”

Principal Tom Lopez denies any attempt to push an Islamic agenda, saying, “These students love this country. They were not being un-American in trying to do this. They believed they were accentuating the meaning of the words as spoken regularly in English.””

We the people are under siege from the actions of the very government we finance to protect us … rescue beacons for illegals , Arabic pledge of Allegiance … where does the self-destruction end ? Read all about it .

Desert Rescue Beacons Let Immigrants Call For Help

Rescue-beacon-in-3-languages-271x300

” Thorn-coated bushes, rock-covered terrain, scorching temperatures. A hissing rattlesnake.

These are just few of the many perils Mexican migrants crossing the Southern Arizona desert encounter every day. And far more of them will attempt to cross this summer, the U.S. Border Patrol predicts.

The agency unveiled its plans Wednesday for dealing with the problem of immigrants dying in the desert, including 10 new beacons that allow migrants to call for help at the push of a red button. The agency is also adding new hoisting systems on helicopters to rescue immigrants.

The beacons are 30-feet-tall and solar powered. They have sun reflectors and blue lights on top that are visible for 10 miles. The beacons have signs in three languages that direct users to push a red button that sends out a signal for help. Response times vary from 10 minutes to an hour depending on where the nearest agents are located. “

Wouldn’t it be cheaper if we just let them take the g*d-damned train ? J*sus H Ch*ist , WTF is wrong with this government’s priorities ?

On second thought , if the State is so bloody concerned with the law-breaker’s welfare why don’t we let them stay in their own country and the Feds can just mail them their checks at home ? We’ll just pay them to stay in their own countries and then we needn’t worry that they might get hurt making the journey .

China Poised To Pass US As World’s Leading Economic Power This Year

China vs US

Image Via AFP/Getty

” The US is on the brink of losing its status as the world’s largest economy, and is likely to slip behind China this year, sooner than widely anticipated, according to the world’s leading statistical agencies.

The US has been the global leader since overtaking the UK in 1872. Most economists previously thought China would pull ahead in 2019.

The figures, compiled by the International Comparison Program hosted by the World Bank, are the most authoritative estimates of what money can buy in different countries and are used by most public and private sector organisations, such as the International Monetary Fund. This is the first time they have been updated since 2005.

After extensive research on the prices of goods and services, the ICP concluded that money goes further in poorer countries than it previously thought, prompting it to increase the relative size of emerging market economies.

The estimates of the real cost of living, known as purchasing power parity or PPPs, are recognised as the best way to compare the size of economies rather than using volatile exchange rates, which rarely reflect the true cost of goods and services: on this measure the IMF put US GDP in 2012 at $16.2tn, and China’s at $8.2tn.”

Remembering Sam And Asking Why

” Samantha Ramsey leaned over to her former high school classmate and said, “We’re best friends and always will be.” Those would be the last words Ramsey would tell her longtime friend Amanda Johnson.

An hour later, Ramsey, 19, of Covington was shot and killed by a Boone County Sheriff’s deputy early Saturday in a chaotic scene. Deputies were responding as dozens of young people were trying to leave a field party in the 6000 block of River Road.

Johnson was one of about 160 people who blocked River Road just west of Tanner Road for about an hour Sunday night as they gathered to remember their Ramsey, whom they knew by her childhood nickname, Sam.”

This young lady was killed by a deputy at a block party and whose only “crime” seems to have been panic .

” Ramsey died at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Florence after suffering four gunshot wounds. Authorities said Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Brockman discharged his weapon through the windshield of Ramsey’s car after she accelerated the vehicle instead of stopping as ordered.

Deputies said the vehicle struck Brockman, who landed on the hood of the car, but witness Chelsey Pendleton, 20, of Ludlow disputes that.

Pendleton, who was a backseat passenger in Ramsey’s car, said the deputy jumped on the hood from the side of the car.

” The cop was in the wrong,” she said. “I was there. I was in the back seat. That was unnecessary force. He had no right to do that.”

Pendleton also disputed deputies’ claims that Ramsey accelerated her vehicle.

” That was dead body weight on the gas pedal after she was shot,” Pendleton said.”

Obama Family Sets All-Time Record For Travel Expenses

vacation cost

” Judicial Watch reported that the Obamas have set a new record for vacations on the backs of Americans taxpayers. Remember, this included an extended stay in Hawaii for one Michele Obama, who wished to celebrate her 50th b-day at Oprah’s home there.

The conservative action group had to file a lawsuit to obtain the records from the US Air Force, marking a new low for US politics. The Obamas spent over $7.4 million during 2013, merely for flight expenses

Via JW:

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit in August 2013, after being repeatedly beat back by the White House. The group reported:

* The outbound flight to Honolulu for the Obamas’ 2012-13 Christmas vacation cost taxpayers $2, 214, 393.60. The return flight to Washington cost $1,871,961.60. Flight expenditures alone came to $4,086,355.20.

* The outbound flight to California in August, 2013 for Obama to dine with Katzenberg and appear on the “The Tonight Show” cost taxpayers $1,209,926.40. The return flight to Washington cost $935,980.80. Flight expenditures alone came to $2,145,907.20.

* The outbound flight to Martha’s Vineyard for the Obama family’s August vacation cost taxpayers $890,323.20. The return flight to Washington cost $273,945.60. Flight expenditures alone came to $1,164,268.80.

* The grand total of $7,396,531.20, Judicial Watch pointed out, only accounted for flight expenses for the three trips.

“The fact is, the Obamas are abusing the public trust and the taxpayers with unnecessary luxurious vacations and travel,” Judicial Watch said. “These staggering costs show why these documents were covered-up and we had to sue in federal court to get them. Another transparency fail for the Obama gang, but thanks to our federal lawsuit it is another accountability win for the American taxpayer.”

Who Will Play What in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’?

” First, the standard caveat: Nobody outside the cast and crew really knows anything about the plot of Star Wars: Episode VII, or most of the characters therein.

All the official Lucasfilm announcements have given us is that the movie will be set 30 years after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, which anyone could have guessed given the age of the returning cast. As of Tuesday, we know for sure that Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie and everyone’s favorite droid duo will be returning.

All else — unless you’ve somehow snuck a script out from under the security lockdown at Lucasfilm or J.J. Abrams’ television production company Bad Robot — is speculation. To give us even fewer handholds, Lucasfilm announced on Friday that the decades of books and comics that told stories following Return of the Jedi are no longer considered canon — which means they’ll have no bearing on the forthcoming movie, to be released in December 2015.

Elements from those stories may still be used, but completely out of their original contexts. (Sorry, fans of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Mara Jade.)

That said, Tuesday’s casting announcement gives us something to work with. Given the strengths of each actor, the types of characters they’ve portrayed in the past and their ages relative to the returning original cast, we can indulge in some informed speculation. Let’s start with the elder statesman of the cast.”

‘Operation Choke Point': Way Out Of Control

Operation Choke Point

” The Justice Department’s “Operation Choke Point” is said to be targeted at online payday lenders that lend into states that prohibit payday lending. But the operation is being pushed far beyond its stated objective of targeting online payday lenders violating state laws and is having potentially devastating impact on lawful check cashing and small loan businesses. This in turn will cut off tens of millions of people from much needed access to money to meet emergency needs.

According to the Washington Post (“Banks to payday lenders: Quit the business or we’ll close your account,” Danielle A. Douglas, April 11, 2014), one large bank informed a small financial firm in Minneapolis to get out of the payday lending business within 30 days or the bank would discontinue providing banking services to the firm.

Another much larger diversified financial firm — let’s call it “FinCo” to protect the innocent — received the following letter from another large bank earlier this month:

Providing quality service to our clients has been one of the keys to our success at [Gotham Bank]. Toward that end, we are committed to understanding, and satisfying, the needs of our clients. Unfortunately, difficult decisions are sometimes necessary in order to accomplish these important goals. Gotham Bank has made the decision to exit the business of providing commercial banking services to check cashers and related businesses. …

Based on the foregoing, please be advised that we are exercising our right … to terminate your account relationship, effective July 30, 2014.

Please make arrangements to close the accounts listed on the attached schedule, and have any direct deposits and/or automatic debits re-directed, by the Termination Date. …

Also, in conjunction with the above, we are hereby notifying you [that the Treasury Master Service Agreement between your company and Gotham Bank] shall be terminated as of the Termination Date.

The Gotham Bank officer signing the letter added a personal handwritten note to the chief executive officer of FinCo: “[John] — I am so sorry that we have made this change. I have always enjoyed working with all the folks at FinCo. …”

No matter what your personal view may be of payday lending or check cashing services, Operation Choke Point should be both alarming and repugnant. It is a direct assault on the democratic system and free-market economy that have made the United States the most powerful and prosperous nation in world history.”

In case you needed more anymore evidence of the Statist proclivities of the Obama Justice Dept , we now have them pressuring banks to refuse to do business with legal , but “undesirable” by the government’s standards , entities via official policies called Operation Choke Point .

The targeted businesses include check cashing , ammunition sales , the adult film industry , dating services , on-line gambling and drug paraphernalia sales and while the reader may personally find some of these services objectionable , the fact remains that they are legal and as such should be afforded the same rights as any other business . To do otherwise sets a very dangerous precedent .

” No matter what your personal view may be of payday lending or check cashing services, Operation Choke Point should be both alarming and repugnant. It is a direct assault on the democratic system and free-market economy that have made the United States the most powerful and prosperous nation in world history.

Without color of law and based on a political agenda, unelected bureaucrats at the Department of Justice are coordinating with some bank regulators to deny essential banking services to companies engaged in lawful business activities. Bankers operating under the yoke of an oppressive regulatory regime are being cowed into compliance.

If lawful payday lenders and check cashers can be driven out of the banking system because someone in the government doesn’t like them or what they do, what lawful businesses are next?”

Read on and pray your industry doesn’t fall out of favor with the State or you may find yourself joining the millions of others forced into the unemployment lines and into a life of government dependency . Cloward-Piven anyone ?

Armed Good Samaritan Comes To The Aid Of Purse-Snatching Victim

Houston Purse Snatcher

” A mother out with her two children to go shopping became the victim of would-be purse snatchers, but a good Samaritan armed with a gun came to the rescue.

“ It happened so fast,” said Brenda Vasquez, who manages the Family Dollar store in the 3400 block of Orlando Avenue in northeast Houston. She witnessed the assault.

“ This lady opens her car door, grabs the woman’s purse and they reverse. While they’re trying to reverse, the lady is holding on to her purse still, chasing them all the way to the middle.”

That’s when a perfect stranger intervened. He happened to be in his car in the parking lot when it happened.
“And that good Samaritan came out, drew his weapon and scared them. And that’s when he pulled them out of the car.” “

3 Policies More Racist Than Donald Sterling And Cliven Bundy

Published on Apr 29, 2014
Racist rants by federal lands moocher Cliven Bundy and vile comments attributed to Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling have put old-school racism back in the news.

But let’s get real. However contemptible, Bundy and Sterling aren’t what’s holding down blacks and other minorities in today’s America.

Here are three policies that, whatever their original intentions, systematically screw over poor blacks and other minorities.

They include:

1. Barriers to work.

Whether it’s absurd licensing laws for at-home hair braiders, day care operators, and other small-time entrepreneurs or minimum wage laws that price young, unskilled black kids out of their first jobs, barriers to the labor market take their biggest toll on those with the least education, skills, and professional connections.

2. The Drug War

Created amidst fears of cocaine-snorting negroes, opium-smoking Chinese, and pot-puffing Mexicans, the drug war not only locks up black and minorities in vastly unfair and unjustifiable numbers, it also concentrates black-market violence in poor urban neighborhoods. Blacks don’t use drugs more than whites—they just pay a much steeper price.

3. The Education Monopoly

Despite more than doubling real per-pupil expenditures since the early 1970s, America’s graduating high school seniors have shown no meaningul improvements in math, reading, and science. It’s black and Hispanic kids in inner cities whose parents lack any real choice in schools that suffer the most. And yet politicans, teachers, and parents who can afford to exercise choice for their own kids do everything they can to keep poor kids trapped in failing schools.

At a combined 140 years old, Bundy and Sterling are survivors from an older, uglier America that died well before the election of Barack Obama.

They can (and should) go fuck themselves, but if the rest of us actually want to address the sort of racism that is screwing over today’s minorities, we’d do well to bust down barriers to work, end the drug war, and tear apart the school monopoly.

Benghazi documents newly obtained by Judicial Watch show that one of the administration’s primary communications goals soon after the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate was “to underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy.” [Emphasis added]

The newly released documents were not included in the initial set of emails released by the White House last May. The new documents can be found on the Judicial Watch site.

3D Printed Cast Speeds Bone Recovery Using Ultrasound

” A new prototype brings together 3D printing, room to breathe and ultrasound pulses to create a cast that is not only comfortable and stylish to wear but is expected to speed healing relative to existing options.

In a move that is less The Singing Bone or Singing Bones than Singing to the Bones designer Deniz Karasahin has adopted the idea of using Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound, (LIPUS) to speed bone regrowth. Pulses of sound waves too high frequency to hear have been shown to increase the incorporation of calcium ions in cultures of cartilage and bone cells, as well as increasing the expression of genes known to assist in healing

However, despite success in vitro and promising results from clinical studies LIPUS has not been widely adopted, partly because the measured benefit has varied across trials, in some cases appearing too small to justify the effort.

Where LIPUS currently involves a daily session at a medical clinic, Deniz Karasahin added a portable ultrasound generator to the cast. “For single 20 minute daily sessions this system promises to reduce the healing process up to 38% and increase the heal rate up to 80% in non-union fractures,” he has claimed, using figures from the top of the ranges produced in trials of LIPUS without changing cast technology.”

Feds Want To Scour Net, Media For ‘Hate Speech’

Thought Police

” If two Democratic lawmakers have their way, Barack Obama’s Justice Department will submit a report for action against any Internet sites, broadcast, cable television or radio shows determined to be advocating or encouraging “violent acts.”

This according to the text of a new bill from Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.

The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 “would create an updated comprehensive report examining the role of the Internet and other telecommunications in encouraging hate crimes based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation and create recommendations to address such crimes,” stated a news release from Markey’s office.

The bill does not define which actions by broadcasters would be considered to have encouraged violence, seemingly leaving that open to interpretation.”
