Armed March Turns Into Massive Civil Disobedience Event

” What started out as a proposal for a few people to march into Washington D.C. with loaded rifles is now becoming a call for widespread civil disobedience and defiance of government authority.

Since the beginning of his activism, Kokesh has been very outspoken about his message and has not cowered in the face of government or any form of authority. In 2011, he was body-slammed and choked by by officers at the Jefferson Memorial when he and several others decided to have a “dance-off” in defiance of the no dancing regulations that has been put in place at the memorial. He has also been arrested in his underwear at a TSA airport checkpoint, worked with Mark Dice and Luke Rudkowski in confronting the Federal Reserve police, and participated in several “smoke down prohibition” events.

It was recently announced that Kokesh is organizing one of the most controversial acts he has attempted during his time as an activist. He is planning an Open Carry march in Washington, D.C. in which he and several other participants will be armed with loaded rifles and walk through the streets of Washington.”

Steve McLaughlin On NY SAFE Act Resolutions

Hi everyone, Just a few updates, thoughts and some info:

1. Gov Cuomo….can you hear us now?

2. I am humbled, grateful and thankful for your encouragement and support. When I spoke on the floor I was doing my job debating a really bad bill and fighting what I knew was an attack on the 2nd amendment. I had no idea how many people were watching all over the nation that would get involved but you were and you did! Thank you for giving me the encouragement to carry on. I’m honored to be there fighting for our rights and giving you a voice.

3.Congratulations to Erie Co. and Wayne Co. for passing resolutions today. We add them to the map tomorrow! Impressive because the Governor was in Erie Co. today and they still passed it.

4. Please see below and visit and like the NY SAFE Act Resolutions page. Evan Hempel, a town council member in Clermont started the page and is trying to keep track of everything. We’re working together rather than duplicating our efforts and sharing as much information as we can to keep you up to date.

5. We don’t consider a resolution passed until it is voted on and passed by the full legislature. Often what’s being reported is that a resolution passed but it may have only passed a committee so we wait to color in the map until the entire legislature votes.

6. Below you’ll see info on how to start a resolution in your county (or town/village). Mattie Z who is on my page may see this and chime in but she did a fantastic job in Orleans Co. and everyone can learn from her. Follow the steps below. You have to do this. You have to get involved. I can’t make it happen alone but WE THE PEOPLE can and will! This is grass roots. Be unafraid. Elected officials work for you! You are our boss. Let them know what you would like to see happen. Be nice. Be respectful. Be firm in your resolve. We have the momentum on our side. Do not let up. These are OUR rights.

7. See #1 above for encouragement and start contacting everyone who supports the 2nd amendment to get them involved as well.***How to start a resolution in your county***First realize the power of one person taking action. Take a look at Mattie Zarpentine’s experience! [1]Contact your legislators [2]. Let them know you’ve been watching nearby counties pass resolutions and you want them to pass one too. Let them know that the majority of NY Counties oppose the act. Give them copies of resolutions you like[3] (this way you steer at least the initial draft). If they’re still not sure, then let them know that their action on this issue will determine if you back a primary against them next election cycle.[1]

Two-Thirds Of U.S. Weapons Owners Would ‘Defy’ A Federal Gun Ban

” Personal sentiments are strong and defiant among many U.S. gun owners.

But on to Question 47, addressed to those with a gun in their home: “If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?”

The response: 65 percent reported they would “defy the law.” That incudes 70 percent of Republicans, 68 percent of conservatives, 52 percent of Democrats and 59 percent of liberals.”

Cuomo Support Dips After Gun-Control Push

” Cuomo’s approval rating fell to 59 percent from an all-time high of 74 percent in the survey, conducted by Quinnipiac University.

That fall was driven almost entirely by Republican voters souring on the governor after he signed into law tough new gun restrictions. They included a ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines, increased penalties for purchasing illegal guns, and requirements to report potentially harmful behavior by the mentally ill. Many of the state-level provisions championed by Cuomo have also received support from President Obama, who called for new federal gun controls in the aftermath of the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn.”

” The Resistance Begins: New York Gun Owners Refuse to Register.

“Largest Act of Civil Disobedience in State History”

With emotions running high in the aftermath of the Newtown Sandy Hook shooting, politicians on the State and Federal level have begun introducing legislative actions to curtail access to firearms protected by the Second Amendment.

In Missouri, parents may soon be forced to register firearms with their child’s school under threat of criminal penalties.

In Massachusetts, another proposal would require storage of semi-automatic rifles at government approved storage depots.

And, in the State of New York, congressional representatives have already passed legislation that requires registration of every semi-automatic rifle and reduces maximum magazine capacity to 7 rounds of ammunition, and Governor Cuomo has floated the idea of gun confiscation.

Now, in what is sure to be a growing trend across the entire country, New York gun owners are organizing a resistance against what many believe to be the most, “brazen infringement on the right to keep and bear arms anywhere in the nation,” according toThe New American:

Preparations are already being made for mass resistance.”

HOBBY LOBBY DEFIES OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WITH CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE FOR RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

” Now that Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has denied Hobby Lobby’s application for an emergency injunction protecting them from Obamacare’s HHS Mandate on abortion and birth control, Hobby Lobby has decided to defy the federal government to remain true to their religious beliefs, at enormous risk and financial cost.

Hobby Lobby is wholly owned and controlled by the Green family, who are evangelical Christians. The Greens are committed to running their business in accordance with their Christian faith, believing that God wants them to conduct their professional business in accordance with the family’s understanding of the Bible. Hobby Lobby’s mission statement includes, “Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company … consistent with Biblical principles.”

The HHS Mandate goes into effect for Hobby Lobby on Jan. 1, 2013. The Greens correctly understand that some of the drugs the HHS Mandate requires them to cover at no cost in their healthcare plans cause abortions.

Today Hobby Lobby announced that they will not comply with this mandate to become complicit in abortion, which the Greens believe ends an innocent human life. Given Hobby Lobby’s size (it has 572 stores employing more than 13,000 people), by violating the HHS Mandate, it will be subject to over $1.3 million in fines per day. That means over $40 million in fines in January alone. If their case takes another ten months to get before the Supreme Court—which would be the earliest it could get there under the normal order of business—the company would incur almost a half-billion dollars in fines. And then of course the Supreme Court would have to write an opinion in what would likely be a split decision with dissenters, which could easily take four or six months and include hundreds of millions of dollars in additional penalties. “

” FOX NEWS: To provide all Americans with health insurance, premiums will have to rise to pay for it, Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini told CNBC’s “Closing Bell” on Wednesday. “If we’re going to insure all Americans, which is a worthy and appropriate cause, then somebody has to pay for it,” Bertolini said of the expected premium increases under Obamacare. Bertolini said that insurance premiums could double in some places just on the basis of what types of policies people buy today. He also said that when Obamacare is fully implemented, it won’t start the way people had hoped and it won’t be cheaper. “
