CBS Reporter Sharyl Attkisson’s Computers Were Compromised

” Shortly after she began her dogged work on the Fast and Furious scandal, CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson says her home and work computers were compromised.

“I can confirm that an intrusion of my computers has been under some investigation on my end for some months but I’m not prepared to make an allegation against a specific entity today as I’ve been patient and methodical about this matter,” Attkisson told POLITICO on Tuesday. “I need to check with my attorney and CBS to get their recommendations on info we make public.” “

HOLDER BEGS COURT TO STOP DOCUMENT RELEASE ON FAST AND FURIOUS

” Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice have asked a federal court to indefinitely delay a lawsuit brought by watchdog group Judicial Watch. The lawsuit seeks the enforcement of open records requests relating to Operation Fast and Furious, as required by law.

Judicial Watch had filed, on June 22, 2012, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking all documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious and “specifically [a]ll records subject to the claim of executive privilege invoked by President Barack Obama on or about June 20, 2012.”

The only justification Holder uses to ask the court to indefinitely delay Judicial Watch’s suit is that there’s another lawsuit ongoing for the same documents – one filed by the U.S. House of Representatives. Judicial Watch has filed a brief opposing the DOJ’s motion to stay.”

Artist Katherine Trunk created “Treading Water” – a stylized portrait of Attorney General Eric Holder. Recent events of this past week in May have provided AG Holder many opportunities to appear before the public and render an account for actions, which seem reminiscent of Watergate. When It Rains, It Pours: Ten Press Conference Take Aways

“ President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event.

So what did we learn?

4. He wouldn’t say that the White House had no previous knowledge of IRS wrongdoing. Instead he said he didn’t have any knowledge of the Inspector General’s report before it was released.

5. He brought up funding for our embassies, referencing Benghazi, Libya. But of course we know that funding shortages had nothing to do with the fiasco that transpired. For claiming otherwise my colleague Glenn Kessler awarded Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) three Pinocchios.

10.  Mainstream media reaction to the president’s handling of the scandals ranges from bad to terrible. Sure there are some very creative excuse-makers for the president, but they are now in the decided minority.”

DOJ Sought To Surveil Several Thousand U.S. Citizens In 2012

” The Justice Department sought the authority to spy on several thousand “United States persons” in 2012, according to a letter the department recently sent to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

“These sought information pertaining to 6,233 different United States persons,” wrote Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik in the letter.

The report does not specify how many of these National Security Letter requests were granted. The requests differ from typical subpoenas, because they seek only non-content information (such as phone numbers, instead of the content of phone conversations) and do not require approval from the judicial branch. “

Government Obtains Wide Set Of Associated Press Phone records In Investigation, Using Subpoena

” The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news.

In all, the government seized the records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012. The exact number of journalists who used the phone lines during that period is unknown, but more than 100 journalists work in the offices where phone records were targeted, on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.

In a letter of protest sent to Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday, AP President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Pruitt said the government sought and obtained information far beyond anything that could be justified by any specific investigation. He demanded the return of the phone records and destruction of all copies.

The government would not say why it sought the records. Officials have previously said in public testimony that the U.S. attorney in Washington is conducting a criminal investigation into who may have provided information contained in a May 7, 2012, AP story about a foiled terror plot. The story disclosed details of a CIA operation in Yemen that stopped an al-Qaida plot in the spring of 2012 to detonate a bomb on an airplane bound for the United States.”

Obama Blames US Guns And Demand For Drugs For Violence In Mexico

” President Obama, speaking in Mexico at the Museo Nacional de Antropologia Friday, blamed US guns and demand for illegal drugs for the violence in Mexico. He said that “most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States.”

He said: “Much of the root cause for violence that has been happening here in Mexico, for which so many Mexicans have suffered, is the demand for illegal drugs in the United States.”
He continued: “Most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States. I think many of you know that in America, our Constitution guarantees our individual right to bear arms. And as president, I swore an oath to uphold that right, and I always will… But at the same time, as I’ve said in the United States, I will continue to do everything in my power to pass common-sense reforms that keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people… That can save lives here in Mexico and back home in the United States. It’s the right thing to do.” “

Holder Threatens Kansas Over New Gun Law

” Kansas Governor Sam Brownback received a letter today from Attorney General Eric Holder threatening action against the state should it enforce SB102, the pro 2nd Amendment law Brownback signed into law last month.

The new law declares that the federal government has no power to regulate guns manufactured, sold and kept only in Kansas.

Any act, law, treaty, order, rule or regulation of the government of the United States which violates the second amendment to the constitution of the United States is null, void and unenforceable in the state of Kansas.

The legislation made it a felony for a federal agent to enforce any law, regulation, order or treaty regulating  ammunition made, sold and kept in the state because the federal government does not “interstate commerce” authority over such items.

The law became effective only a week ago, but already Holder has leapt into action, firing off a letter to the governor of Kansas threatening to take “all appropriate action including litigation if necessary” to prevent the state of Kansas from protecting the 2nd Amendment. (Amazing for a guy who didn’t even know about his own department’s gun-running operation, Fast and Furious until months after a border patrol agent was killed by one of its guns.) But when a state passes a law he doesn’t like - this Attorney General is FAST!

SHOCK: JUDGE WHO ENDED INTERROGATION OF BOSTON BOMBER WITHOUT DOJ KNOWLEDGE LINKED TO MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, MUSLIM GOVERNMENTS

” Excerpted from FRONT PAGE MAG: As FOX News reported and Robert Spencer noted, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev stopped talking once he was prematurely read his Miranda rights. That helps the authorities establish the lone wolf narrative. Whatever else we might have learned from him is probably lost.

Once Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was read his rights on Monday, he immediately stopped talking, according to four officials of both political parties who were briefed on the interrogation but insisted on anonymity because the briefing was private.

After roughly 16 hours of questioning, investigators were surprised when a magistrate judge and a representative from the U.S. Attorney’s office entered the hospital room and read Tsarnaev his rights, the four officials and one law enforcement official said. Investigators had planned to keep questioning him.”

FIRED-UP GOP REP. TREY GOWDY TAKES APART ARGUMENT THAT VOTER ID LAWS ARE RACIST DURING HOUSE HEARING

” Known for his fiery tirades on the House floor, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) on Tuesday blasted the Justice Department’s assertion that voter ID laws are discriminatory to minorities. Using South Carolina’s voter ID law as an example, Gowdy dismantled the race-based argument against such legislation in about 5 minutes.

“South Carolina passed a voter ID law in 2011…and in 2011 one-third of South Carolina’s congressional delegation was African-American,” Gowdy said. “I may be mistaken, I suspect that South Carolina’s percentage of African-American members of Congress may have been the highest in the country in 2011.” “

Eric Holder’s Schedule: Frequent Meetings With Race-Based Groups

” Attorney General Eric Holder began his tenure by calling Americans cowards regarding racial issues. Newly released documents reveal that Holder’s schedule shows a preoccupation with racial issues: he spends an inordinate amount of time meeting with race-centered organizations.

Recently, the Department of Justice began making Holder’s daily schedules available online. Although the schedules are far from complete and heavily redacted, the compiled summary below (links to documents provided) shows how much time and access the office of the attorney general allocates to ethnocentric lobbyists and race-based associations.

For 2009, Holder’s first year as AG, over just a nine-month period (the only months available for that year) nearly 50 entries mention meetings with such groups. For the entire 17-month period provided, there are almost a dozen entries showing meetings with “black” professional associations and trade groups.”

HOUSE GOP NOT BACKING OFF FAST & FURIOUS LAWSUIT DESPITE MEDIA CLAIMS

” House Republicans are standing strong in their pursuit of Operation Fast and Furious documents, The Hill’s Jordy Yager reports, undercutting a narrative the Department of Justice has tried to seep into the media.

President Barack Obama asserted executive privilege over the documents minutes before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform voted Attorney General Eric Holder into both civil and criminal contempt of Congress last summer. The full House followed up voting on a bipartisan basis to hold Holder in contempt shortly thereafter, spurning the current lawsuit against the administration for the documents. The DOJ has declined to pursue criminal charges against Holder.

“A fight over President Obama’s use of executive privilege on the documents that led to Attorney General Eric Holder’s contempt charges is increasingly likely to be decided in court,” Yager wrote on Tuesday. “The way the court decides could drastically limit congressional subpoena powers — or curb the extent to which the president can claim executive privilege.” “

News Reports: Democrats, Republicans and NRA Work Together on Gun Confiscation Deal

” The NRA is vigorously denying an NBCNews.com report saying that the NRA is cutting a backroom deal with Congress (including Congressional Republicans) that would allow for universal background checks and the creation of a vast federal database identifying all (legal) gun owners. In exchange for this alleged deal, Democrats will back off from accusing the NRA and Republicans from refusing to act following the Sandy Hook Tragedy.

According to NBCNews.com:

Senators negotiating a bill mandating background checks for all gun buyers are privately expecting the National Rifle Association not to fight the measure — provided the legislation does not require private gun sellers to maintain records of the checks, NBC News has learned.

If that requirement is met and key Republican negotiator Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma signs on, the powerful gun lobby has signaled to lawmakers that they would not actively oppose the bill — and not count votes in favor of it as part of its highly influential NRA lawmaker ratings — according to Senate aides familiar with the stalled negotiations.”

We have an absolutely worthless republican leadership in the Senate … Throw the bums out … Cowards , Bastards , Traitors … Rot in Hell

Even if the NRA is not involved in any deal-making, it appears that Congressional Republicans are trying to cut a deal that they hope will stop Democrats and the media from claiming that Republicans refuse to do anything to help prevent another Sandy Hook. Ammoland reported that:

Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor is leading the charge to give Obama and Holder what they want in exchange for appearing to be ‘fixing’ the problem of innocent children being butchered in our public and private schools.

If Ammoland is correct that Republicans are making a deal on gun control, it appears that the rot goes all the way to the top. Again, from Ammoland:

Newly appointed Republican Judiciary Chairman, Bob Goodlatte R-VA 6th District, is providing political cover for the sneaky back room gun control deals and gun grabbing sell outs that his political masters – – John Boehner and Eric Cantor – are cutting [deals] with Obama and his corrupt Attorney General, Eric Holder.”

Inspector General Report On Racialist Dysfunction Inside DOJ

” Today the Department of Justice inspector general released a report on potential Labor secretary nominee Tom Perez’s DOJ Civil Rights Division. The timing of the release to coincide with his nomination was certainly accidental, because the report paints a damning portrait of the DOJ unit he managed.

The full report is here.

The 250-page report offers an inside glimpse of systemic racialist dysfunction inside one of the most powerful federal government agencies.

Today’s report paints a disgusting portrait, confirming our accounts.”

Looks like Justice Scalia was on to something

” Indeed, two career Voting Section attorneys told us that, even if the Department had infinite resources, they still would not have supported the filing of the Noxubee case because it was contrary to the purpose of the Voting Rights Act, which was to ensure that minorities who had historically been the victims of discrimination could exercise the right to vote.” “

Additionally, some of these individuals, including one current manager, admitted to us that, while they believed that the text of the Voting Rights Act is race-neutral and applied to all races, they did not believe the Voting Section should pursue cases on behalf of White victims.” “

As with virtually everything that government does , the Voting Rights Act, while race-neutral and necessary at the time , has ceased to function as designed an has been perverted to more sinister ends even as the need for it has dissipated .

This demonstrates very clearly the need to reform the way Congress does business . EVERY BILL they pass should have a “sunset clause” . The politicians create one legislative monster after another , each of which generates it’s own unique class of bureaucratic overseers . And each new creation , in just a few short years of existence , whether effective at their assigned task or not , morphs into another head on the Hydra that is seemingly invincible .

” – Attorney General Eric Holder was approached by Acting Assistant Attorney General Loretta King: King complained about cases that Voting Section Chief Chris Coates was bringing. King didn’t like that Coates was willing to use civil rights laws to protect white voters.  Coates had brought and managed the New Black Panther voter intimidation case.

Holder greenlighted King: do what was necessary to take care of Coates.

– Attorney General Holder told us that he understood from what others told him that Coates was a divisive and controversial person in the Voting Section and that one concern about Coates was that he “wanted to expand the use of the power of the Civil Rights Division in such a way that it would take us into areas that, though justified, would come at a cost of that which the Department traditionally had done, at the cost of people [that the] Civil Rights Division had traditionally protected. ” “

The mask slips … ” the people it had traditionally protected ” … this is no longer about EQUAL rights , oh no , we have entered the realm of preferential treatment now . It should be glaringly obvious to the thinking observer that rather than existing to ensure the equal rights of ALL citizens , the Civil Rights Division of Eric Holder’s Justice department has become a punitive , racist tool of the left with which to punish their political foes and provide cover for all manner of felonious behavior on the part of their fellow travelers .

” – The Report: “We found other postings by career Voting Section employees that contained intimidating comments and statements that arguably raised the potential threat of physical violence. For instance, one of the employees wrote the following comment to an article concerning an internal Department investigation of potential misconduct by a Section manager: “Geez, reading this just makes me want to go out and choke somebody. At this point, I’d seriously consider going in tomorrow and hanging a noose in someone’s office to get myself fired, but they’d probably applaud the gesture and give me a promotion for doing it….” “

”threats of violence” … from our “civil servants”  …ponder that and read the whole thing …

Secret Service Accused Of Misconduct In Aaron Swartz Case

” The former girlfriend of computer hacker Aaron Swartz is lashing out at the US Justice Department after Attorney General Eric Holder defended the prosecution that some say drove the prodigy into committing suicide.

Swartz took his own life in January while waiting to stand trial in a federal computer fraud case that could have ended with him serving upwards of 35 years in prison. Earlier this week, Attorney General Holder said the suicide was a“tragedy” but that the prosecution was indeed by the books.

“Eric Holder and the Department of Justice are clearly trying to mislead the Senate and the public,” she says. “Holder claims that Aaron was only facing months in prison while [Assistant US Attorney Stephen] Heymann and [US Attorney Carmen] Ortiz were actively pursuing a penalty of seven years if the case went to trial. If you believe you’re innocent, you should not be coerced into accepting a plea bargain that marks you as a felon for life, just because prosecutors want to boast about taking a scalp.” “

Holder Drone Letter

” Attorney General Eric Holder wrote Sen. Rand Paul,R-Ky., to confirm that President Obama does not have the authority to kill an American on U.S. soil in a non-combat situation, Obama’s spokesman announced today.

There, that wasn’t so difficult, was it?

Meanwhile, understandably angry at seeing the Republican Party emerge from its four year defensive crouch–behind Tea Party conservatives no less!– Senators McCain and Graham proferred this mature advice:

McCain, a staunch foreign policy hawk, said Thursday that Paul’s warnings that the U.S. could target “Jane Fonda” or “people in cafes” bring the debate into the “realm of the ridiculous.”

The Democratic Whip Just Announced That the Democratic Party Objects to a Resolution That the President Can’t Murder American Citizens

” by ACE OF SPADES Mar 6, 2013 4:51 PM PT11

In response to This Is What A Republic Looks Like:

The left doesn’t really bother hiding it, does it?

It occurred to me that the president won’t simply agree to the rather reasonable proposition that he’s not permitted to murder people because of the psychology of the weakling.

The weaker a man is, the less heroic he is, the more he finds it necessary to put on the airs of heroism and pantomime the muscle-flexing of the strong.

Obama is a weak man, and certainly a weak president. Thus it becomes deadly to him to simply confess what is so obvious as to not need confessing:  That he’s not allowed to murder people.

A strong man could confess this without even thinking about it. The strong man does not need to ask himself things like Does this trivial acknowledgment of limitations of my power make me “look weak”?  The strong man knows he’s strong, and doesn’t worry much about “looking weak.”

But Obama is a weak man, and is presidency is one catastrophe piled upon another crisis, the whole disaster sustained only by his unrelenting posturing as a Hero before adoring liberals and TV news anchors (but I repeat myself).  The weak man simply cannot admit what the strong man can.  Weakness, after all, imposes limitations, and strength grants freedom of action.

To “yield” to Rand Paul would show the weakling for what he is, which is why he dares not do so.  The strong man would agree with a laugh.  But the weakling must continue to posture.”

” Senator Rand Paul is not only exposing President Obama’s breathtaking hypocrisy on the issue of drones, he’s also giving a Master Class on the U.S. Constitution.”

Eric Holder: Drone Strikes Against Americans On U.S. Soil Are Legal

“It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States,” Holder replied in a letter yesterday to Paul’s question about whether Obama “has the power to authorize lethal force, such as a drone strike, against a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil, and without trial.”

That statement alone should be reason for firing Holder … where does the government get the notion that it can assassinate fellow Americans? Oh , yes , wait a minute … Janet Reno . That’s it , isn’t it , Waco and Ruby Ridge . Lon Horiuchi got away with assassinating an unarmed mother didn’t he ?

So the precedent has been set … again by those ACLU supported , civil rights champions of another Democratic Administration .

” Paul condemned the idea. “The U.S. Attorney General’s refusal to rule out the possibility of drone strikes on American citizens and on American soil is more than frightening – it is an affront the Constitutional due process rights of all Americans,” he said in a statement.”

Eric Holder Sounds the Sequester Alarm

This is Holder's idea of protecting us .

” The looming budget sequestration will make Americans less safe, Eric Holder says—and anyone who says otherwise isn’t telling the truth.

“This is something that is going to have an impact on the safety of this country,” the U.S. attorney general told ABC’s Pierre Thomas on Wednesday in a wide-ranging, exclusive interview.

“And anybody that says otherwise is either lying or saying something that runs contrary to the facts,” Holder said.

The Justice Department is going to lose nine percent of its budget between now and September 30th. We’re going to lose $1.6 billion. There are not going to be as many FBI agents, ATF agents, DEA agents, prosecutors who are going to be able to do their jobs,” Holder said. “They’re going to be furloughed. They’re going to spend time out of their offices, not doing their jobs.” “

How does 2%  budget-wide transfer to 9% of Justice’s budget … It’s not like Holder has made us safer anyway … Fast & Furious anyone ?

The Gun Debate: Gun Crime Prosecutions On Decline, Amid Call For More Laws

” However, recent studies show the Obama administration has not enforced many gun laws already on books — with gun crime prosecutions hitting a decade low in 2011, down 40 percent from their peak under President George W. Bush in 2004, according to federal data crunched by Syracuse University. The SU study prompted 23 House Republicans on Friday to call on President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to prosecute more people for gun-related crimes.

“It is imprudent to simply call for new laws without examining the efficacy of the current laws,” wrote House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va. “We must all be looking for ways to prevent senseless acts of violence and the taking of innocent life, but the best place to start would be enforcing the laws that Congress has already enacted.” “

Pressure Mounting on President, Attorney General Regarding Lack Of Prosecutions For NICS Denials

” As detailed in a February 21 press release, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) are pressing U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department to explain why they have failed to prosecute the vast majority of convicted felons and fugitives from justice who are failing background checks under the National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

And, on February 22, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary–led by Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.)–sent letters to President Obama and to Attorney General Holder demanding answers on the lack of prosecutions and enforcement of our nation’s existing gun laws.  In the letter to the President, the committee noted that, during Obama’s administration, “federal firearms prosecutions have fallen to the lowest levels in over a decade.” “

This is an administration that is best known for arming the criminals and terrorists and denying protection to both the law-abiding and it’s own employees here and abroad . Is it any wonder that the criminals of America are less persecuted prosecuted than the law-abiding?

One could almost envision a scenario where-by this government is actively pursuing policies designed to foment civil unrest and provide an excuse to curtail/eliminate our civil rights .

If anyone is still naive enough to believe that this cabal in the White House has the Nation’s best interests at heart ask the families of Brian Terry , Christopher Stevens , Tyrone Woods , Sean Smith , Jaime Zapata , Glen Doherty and hundreds of dead Mexican’s what they think .
