GOP Should Subpoena Benghazi’s Silenced Witnesses
” Benghazi: The House GOP has threatened to subpoena the survivors of the Benghazi terrorist attack, those who know the truth, and hold up the? nomination of our murdered ambassador’s replacement. It should do both.
The Obama administration is fond of using a familiar tactic, the shield of an “ongoing investigation,” to cover up its malfeasance in the deaths of Americans serving their country.
It was used to hide the truth regarding the administration’s Fast and Furious gun-running operation to Mexican drug cartels, which resulted in the deaths of agents Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata. They are using it again concerning Benghazi.
The only American witnesses to the Benghazi attack who have been named by the Obama administration are the four whom the terrorists killed in the Sept. 11 attack on our Benghazi mission — Ambassador Chris Stevens, State Department Information Management Officer Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who were working for the CIA.”
What Difference Does It Make Now ?
“Armed with confidential memos to Hillary Clinton that were stolen from the e-mail account of a former White House aide, a hacker has distributed some of the documents to a wide array of congressional aides, political figures, and journalists worldwide.
In a series of weekend e-mail blasts, the hacker known as “Guccifer” disseminated four recent memos to Clinton from Sidney Blumenthal, a longtime confidant of the former Secretary of State.
The 64-year-old Blumenthal, who worked as a senior White House adviser to President Bill Clinton, had his AOL e-mail account hacked last week by “Guccifer,” who has conducted similar illegal assaults against a growing list of public figures, including Colin Powell, relatives and friends of the Bush family, and a top United Nations official.
The hacker’s e-mails went to hundreds of recipients, though the distribution lists were dotted with addresses for aides to Senate and House members who are no longer in office. But many of the addresses to which the Blumenthal memos were sent are good (though it is unclear whether email@example.com is a solid address for the Republican mastermind).”
“By breaching Blumenthal’s account, “Guccifer” was able to access his correspondence (dating back to at least 2005) with an array of Washington insiders, including political operatives, journalists, and government officials. As with the hacker’s other victims, it is unclear how Blumenthal’s account was illegally accessed or why he was targeted.
However, based on screen grabs made by “Guccifer,” the hacker specifically zeroed in on Blumenthal’s extensive correspondence with Hillary Clinton, sorting Blumenthal’s account so as to single out all e-mail sent to Clinton. Additionally, “Guccifer” further sorted the mail to list (and presumably download) all Word files attached to e-mails sent to Clinton.”
” Four Americans dead, all kinds of political intrigue swirls around the story, and there remains an untold tale about what was likely a harrowing escape; and yet there is no indication whatsoever from the media that they are at all interested in interviewing the survivors of the Sept. 11 anniversary attacks on our consulate in Libya.
President Obama has lied, covered up, obfuscated, and double-talked all during the six-months following this devastatingly successful terror attack. And with rare exceptions, the media has diligently lied, covered up , obfuscated, and double-talked right along with him.”

” Republican lawmakers are threatening to subpoena U.S. survivors of the terrorist attack in Benghazi.
Exasperated GOP members say unless they get more answers from the White House, they will call on the survivors to testify before Congress, and might hold up President Obama’s nomination to replace the U.S. ambassador who was killed on Sept. 11, 2012 in Libya.
The recent revelation that U.S. survivors are recuperating at Walter Reed Hospital has sparked GOP demands that the White House provide Congress with access to them. It has also breathed new life into the controversy that was highlighted repeatedly during the 2012 presidential campaign.”
The republican leadership has really dropped the ball on this . It should have been readily apparent months ago that the administration has absolutely no intention of coming clean on their Benghazi Debacle and that the only way to get the truth is subpoenas , investigators and courts .
With few exceptions all we can see is a republican congressional delegation that can do nothing but act as enablers of democratic recalcitrance . To a man they lack the spine to stand up for liberty , truth and the American people . Whether it’s spending , gun control , green subsidy scandals , vote fraud , Fast & Furious or Benghazi the republican leadership apparently can do nothing but roll over and kiss dem/media ass .
The four brave men who died because of government incompetence , or worse , deserve better of their elected officials as do the rest of us who pay their salaries and live under their capricious whim .
” With various sources confirming a number of Benghazi survivors are “still recovering at Walter Reed military hospital,” Republican lawmakers are demanding their names and access to them. “
The Architects Of Our "Smart Diplomacy"
” If there was one constant through Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s appearances before congressional committees Wednesday, it was that lawmakers fell all over themselves heaping praise on her for the job she has done. Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., was typical, saying: “Madame Secretary, you have represented us with tremendous strength and poise. You have won us friends.”
Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., gushed, “We don’t have time to give a full listing of the achievements you deserve credit for.” And Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., began his remarks by saying that he shares the “tremendous respect” of his colleagues for the job she has done.
What on Earth are they referring to? American foreign policy under Secretary Clinton has been one disaster after another. She may not deserve blame for all of them — or even most of them — but it defies common sense to call her tenure a success.
Let us review the record. “
