Feds: Defense Contractor Relayed US Weapons Info

” HONOLULU (AP) — Federal authorities say a civilian defense contractor who works in intelligence at Pacific Command gave his Chinese girlfriend information on existing war plans and U.S. nuclear weapons.

Benjamin Pierce Bishop, 59, appeared in court Monday to face one count of communicating national defense information to a person not entitled to receive it and one count of unlawfully retaining national defense documents and plans. He was arrested March 15 at Pacific Command headquarters at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii.

Bishop gave information to the woman, a 27-year-old Chinese national, after meeting her at a conference on international military defense issues in Hawaii, according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Honolulu. Authorities did not say when the conference took place but said she was in the U.S. on a student visa at the time.”

10 Of The Greatest Fisheries

” An 857-pound bluefin is maneuvered alongside the boat during the 1949 Tuna Cup in Nova Scotia (top), while Maureen Marazzi caught a 881-pounder in 1971 (lower right); big fish are still caught today in this northerly fishery (bottom left).”

” #1 Canadian Maritimes — Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick

Primary Species: Giant bluefin tuna

Golden Era: 1930 to 1950, 1970s. In the late 1970s, the tuna apparently changed their migration. When the Asian taste for bluefin sushi evolved during the 1980s, prices rose, an industry was born, and Canada prohibited recreational anglers from catching giants. In the past few years, the country has allowed a regulated catch-and-release fishery.

The History: During the late 1800s, harpooners began targeting giants that tangled their herring nets. Through the early 20th century, anglers started pursuing the bluefin, though they were not considered good table fare. Finally, in the 1930s, tackle makers caught up with the fishery, and IGFA founder Michael Lerner helped initiate the International Tuna Cup (Sharp Cup).

Memorable Moment: Bluefin here average 700 pounds, but they get much bigger. The current all-tackle world-record bluefin — a 1,496-pound behemoth — was caught off Nova Scotia in 1979.”

Do You Live In A Death Spiral State

image

” Don’t buy a house in a state where private sector workers are outnumbered by folks dependent on government.

Thinking about buying a house? Or a municipal bond? Be careful where you put your capital. Don’t put it in a state at high risk of a fiscal tailspin.

Eleven states make our list of danger spots for investors. They can look forward to a rising tax burden, deteriorating state finances and an exodus of employers. The list includes California, New York, Illinois and Ohio, along with some smaller states like New Mexico and Hawaii.”

If your career takes you to Los Angeles or Chicago, don’t buy a house. Rent.

Why The US Appointing An Aussie General To Command Its Pacific Troops Is a Big Deal

” The AP reports Australian Maj. General Richard Burr is now Deputy Commanding General for Operations at U.S. Pacific Command (USARPAC) out of Hawaii.

It’s the first time a non-American has served in such a high-ranking position at this type of command.

This isn’t some out-of-the way little military base — this is the command led by Major General George Moore in the days after World War II. Moore fought at Battan along with enough other dark Pacific campaigns to fill a wall map. This command today will be pivotal in organizing and supplying military operations in the region, and key in building U.S. projection within the Asian theater.”

” With all the 400-plus-pound yellowfin tuna in the news these days, a mere 114 ½-pounder doesn’t rank as spectacular in size. But of course everything is relative.
If you’ve paddled out to deep blue depths in a 13 ½-foot piece of plastic, and from that platform hooked and — for more than three hours — fought that 114 ½-pounder, with a big tiger shark hot on its caudal fin, that makes the catch seem a bit more spectacular. “

Obama Hijacks Medal of Honor Winner’s Funeral To Talk About His Own Vacation

Words Obama Could Have Read But Didn’t

Citation

” Second Lieutenant Daniel K. Inouye distinguished himself by extraordinary heroism in action on 21 April 1945, in the vicinity of San Terenzo, Italy. While attacking a defended ridge guarding an important road junction, Second Lieutenant Inouye skillfully directed his platoon through a hail of automatic weapon and small arms fire, in a swift enveloping movement that resulted in the capture of an artillery and mortar post and brought his men to within 40 yards of the hostile force. Emplaced in bunkers and rock formations, the enemy halted the advance with crossfire from three machine guns. With complete disregard for his personal safety, Second Lieutenant Inouye crawled up the treacherous slope to within five yards of the nearest machine gun and hurled two grenades, destroying the emplacement. Before the enemy could retaliate, he stood up and neutralized a second machine gun nest. Although wounded by a sniper’s bullet, he continued to engage other hostile positions at close range until an exploding grenade shattered his right arm. Despite the intense pain, he refused evacuation and continued to direct his platoon until enemy resistance was broken and his men were again deployed in defensive positions. In the attack, 25 enemy soldiers were killed and eight others captured. By his gallant, aggressive tactics and by his indomitable leadership, Second Lieutenant Inouye enabled his platoon to advance through formidable resistance, and was instrumental in the capture of the ridge. Second Lieutenant Inouye’s extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit on him, his unit, and the United States Army.”

Instead He Spoke Of His Favorite Topic Of Conversation … Himself

” You know when you’re talking about a Medal of Honor winner and the highest ranked Asian elected official, there might be a few other topics to talk about then your own vacation memories, but well, Obama loves his vacations. He doesn’t love much else, but he sure loves his vacations. And talking about himself.

And Obama combined his two great passions, vacations and talking about himself, in true classy style at Senator Inouye’s funeral.

“Now, even though my mother and grandparents took great pride that they had voted for him, I confess that I wasn’t paying much attention to the United States Senate at the age of four or five or six.  It wasn’t until I was 11 years old that I recall even learning what a U.S. senator was, or it registering, at least.”

Death must be a truly horrifying phenomenon for Obama. Other people at least take comfort in knowing that their country and their family will go on, but for Obama there is nothing else. Everything only exists in relation to him in a completely solipsistic universe.

Senator Inouye only exists in relation to Obama. “

” ( Yesterday ) December 7 , 1941 , A Date Which Will

Live In Infamy “

A Partial Video Of FDR’s Declaration Of War

The Entire Address In Printed Format

” Yesterday, December 7, 1941 a date which will live in infamy the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, 1 hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to tie United States and his colleague delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese Government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam.

Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.

Last night the Japanese attacked Wake Island.

This morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our Nation.

As Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.

Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.

No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people, in their righteous might, will win through to absolute victory.

I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces with the unbounded determination of our people we will gain the inevitable triumph so help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December 7, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.”

TSA Puts Tea Party Organizer On No Fly List During Trip, Strands Him In Hawaii

” HONOLULU, HAWAII – Wade Hicks Jr., of Gulfport, Mississippi, spent four days in Hawaii, but he wasn’t in the islands since October 14 to enjoy sunshine, palm trees and paradise.
Half way through his journey from San Francisco to Japan aboard a military flight, during what was supposed to be a brief stop over on Oahu, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Enforcement agent, accompanied by two heavily armed military guards, informed Hicks he was on the “No Fly List.”
The agent told Hicks he would have to find other means of transportation off our remote Pacific island, which was 2,500 miles from where he started.”

The issue that just won’t die , or should we say , one of the issues , along with the recently proven beyond a shadow of a doubt membership in the socialist ” New Party ” continues to gain traction at least in the blogosphere .

These two issues highlight with blinding clarity the abdication of the MSM of their responsibility to properly vet any and all public figures .  Face it , we (some of you anyway,we were never fooled) were sold a bill of goods . The man has never EARNED a single achievement that has been bestowed upon him . All has been GIVEN as some sort of entitlement . We are proud to hold to the belief that ” Dear Leader ” is now  ENTITLED to retire and leave us to pick up the pieces of his disastrous reign of incompetence .

“In my first American Thinker article on the Obama long-form birth-certificate forgery, “Oblivious to the Obvious,” published on April 10, I wrote: We start with the known facts: that (1) the “birth certificate” is fake, and (2) the president has said it’s his birth certificate.  It is up to researchers to work backward from the known facts to establish why the president was unable or unwilling to release a genuine one.

On May 22, the Hawaii Department of Health sent a “Verification of Birth” for Barack Obama to Ken Bennett, Arizona secretary of state (shown in Figure VB), with sufficient information to allow the president’s name to be placed on the November 2012 ballot in Arizona.  It provided enough additional information, I thought, to allow me to hone in on what might be on the genuine birth certificate that the public is not allowed to see.”

While I’m no “Birther” there can be no doubt that the preponderance of evidence can only lead one to the conclusion that Barack Hussein Obama has been anything but honest with the American people . His entire campaign , administration and the life leading up to today has been deliberately shrouded in secrecy . It’s no wonder that more and more people are having doubts about the man’s integrity and strength of character .

At this point each new revelation only muddies the waters and increases doubts about the man and his personal history . none of which has been in the least bit ameliorated by a compliant press that has completely abdicated it’s responsibility to be the public’s gatekeeper . It should be obvious to all that , not only do we have a chief executive with lots to hide , we also have a fourth estate without the slightest interest in the truth .

”So now Chris Matthews isn’t the only one experiencing a little thrill when he thinks about Barack (omit middle name) Obama. The recent revelation that from the early 1990s until the day before yesterday—or, to be more accurate, until Obama made his decision to run for president—a biographical pamphlet circulated by his literary agents described him as having been “born in Kenya” has been setting the world of Twitter atwitter.

What should we think about that? An agency spokesman who claims to have been responsible for the “born in Kenya” wheeze has publicly said that it was a mistake, a typographical error, a slip of the pen that just went “unchecked” for, um, sixteen-seventeen years. I can understand that. She meant to write “Hawaii” and wrote “Kenya” instead. Could happen to anyone. They look and sound enough alike, don’t they,  that no one noticed. You meant to write “there” and you wrote “their” instead. You meant to write “cup” and you wrote “floccinaucinihilipilification” instead. No one—no one at the literary agency, not the author himself—could be expected to notice. You understand that, right? “
