” Following the announcement that Officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted by a Missouri grand jury, riots broke out in the city of Ferguson, MO.
Sara Sidner of CNN interviewed one local resident, who expressed her concern for Ferguson’s future.
“ I mean, this is crazy,” the resident said. “I mean, the business didn’t do anything. If they were going to do something, get the right people, if they have to do it.
When asked what she thought would happen to her community, the resident was pessimistic.
“ They’re not going to rebuild,” the resident said. “It’s going to be like a ghost town pretty soon.” “

Washington Post’s Chuck Lane Mocks Hillary’s Anti-Business Comments: ‘NBC Created A Job For Chelsea’
” Last week, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke at a campaign rally for Democrat Martha Coakley and told her liberal audience “don’t let anybody tell you it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs.”
On Monday night, the entire panel on Fox News’ Special Report w/ Bret Baier eagerly mocked Ms. Clinton’s comments with Chuck Lane of the Washington Post joking that he “thought NBC created a job for Chelsea so there is at least one corporation that has created a job.”
Earlier in the segment, the Wall Street Journal’s Jason Riley profoundly condemned Ms. Clinton’s comments:
This was a clumsy attempt to critique supply side economics which this country is no danger of returning to under President Obama. What we need is a critique of Keynesian economics. That’s what we’ve been experiencing. Government spending as a stimulus. How is that going for us? The slowest recovery in a generation or two. That’s what I would like it hear her defense of.
After Riley pointed out that America needed to reevaluate Keynesian economics being pushed by Democrats like Hillary Clinton and President Obama, Chuck Lane piled on Ms. Clinton one final time:
But, she has made quite a few gaffes now since this unofficial presidential campaign has gotten underway. And this one is going to have legs. Because you can put it into a little sound bite. You can turn it into an ad for the opposition and you can repeat it over and over and over again. And it’s obviously not a sensible comment because she herself had to walk it back. “

” At a Democratic rally in Massachusetts, Hillary Clinton’s attempt to attack “trickle-down economics,” resulted in a spectacularly odd statement.
Clinton defended raising the minimum wage saying “Don’t let anybody tell you that raising the minimum wage will kill jobs, they always say that.”
She went on to state that businesses and corporations are not the job creators of America. “Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs,” the former Secretary of State said.
Clinton’s comment will likely be used frequently to attack her as another big-government Democrat. She is seen by many as already running for president in 2016. “
This is rich coming from a life-long lawyer and politician , two trades that have yet to produce a single honest job in the entire history of mankind … It takes a government to create a job …

” Critics of genetically modified organisms or GMOs claim that they pose health risks to the public. Jimmy is always interested in people who have strong opinions, so we sent a crew to one of our local farmers markets to ask people why they avoid GMOs and, more specifically, what the letters GMO stand for.

” MSNBC anchor Krystal Ball and NBC correspondent Anne Thompson shamelessly politicized the Ebola crisis in a Thursday op-ed on MSNBC.com. Ball and Thompson bewailed how due to “Senate dysfunction and NRA opposition, we don’t have a surgeon general right now….during a time when, we not only have Ebola arriving on our shores, but are also dealing with the mysterious Enterovirus, which is infecting and contributing to the deaths of children in the U.S.”
The two on-air personalities led their piece, “How the NRA is making the Ebola crisis worse,” by noting that “poll by Harvard found that 39% of U.S. adults are concerned about a large outbreak here, and more than a quarter fear someone in their immediate family could get sick with Ebola.” They continued with a lament: “If only there was someone around who could educate the American public about the actual level of risk. Someone who was trusted as a public health expert and whose job it was to help us understand what we really need to worry about and what precautions we should take.”
” Last Sunday, in his message congratulating Muslims on Eid al-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, Barack Obama wrote: “Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy.” That’s right: he said “many achievements and contributions.” I could only think of five. Maybe you will be able to think of some more.”
” 5. Getting us here in the first place`
This one predates the United States as a nation, but without it, the United States would not exist. Every schoolchild knows, or used to know, that in 1492 Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue and discovered America while searching for a new, westward sea route to Asia. But why was he searching for a new route to Asia? Because the fall of Constantinople to the Muslims in 1453 closed the trade routes to the East. This was devastating for European tradesmen, who had until then traveled to Asia for spices and other goods by land. Columbus’s voyage was trying to ease the plight of these merchants by bypassing the Muslims altogether and making it possible for Europeans to reach India by sea.
So the bellicosity and intransigence of Islam ultimately opened the Americas for Europe – and made the United States possible.”

Reid’s Justification For New Obamacare Signup Delay: ‘People Are Not Educated On How To Use The Internet’
” It’s not that HealthCare.gov is a nightmare. Instead, it’s the fault of incompetent Americans.
That’s the jist of what Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D–Nev.) said today, when asked by a reporter about the Obama administration’s decision, which was reported on last night, that people could claim they had tried to sign up before the March 31st deadline and still enroll in Obamacare in April.”

FNC Shows Flashback To Obama Ridiculing Romney: ‘1980s Are Calling To Ask for Their Foreign Policy Back’
” Bret Baier opened a panel segment on his show Friday night with a flashback to President Barack Obama’s snide ridiculing, of Mitt Romney’s now seeming prescient concern about Russia’s “geo-political” threat, during the October 22, 2012 presidential debate. “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the cold war has been over for 20 years,” Obama lectured.”
Newsbusters has the story on Obama’s Delphian foreign policy and does Obama really want to talk about economic policies ? The “twenties” are here again in economics and to a large degree the social divides of the “fifties” have been re-instated by Barack as well . Who knew progressives were so set on bringing back the past ? I thought the conservatives were supposed to be the dinosaurs .

” Picking the year’s worst op-eds — an annual tradition in this space — wasn’t easy in 2013. There’s the Slate writer who announced you’re “a bad person if you send your children to private school”; the New York Times piece arguing that conservative Dallas “willed the death” of JFK (by getting a communist to shoot him?); and the fellow who worried that allowing more high-skilled immigration would exacerbate “America’s Genius Glut.”
If you’ve been losing sleep over the genius glut in American punditry, rest easy. That threat’s a long way off.
To narrow the choices and give this pudding a theme, I’ve decided that 2013’s malicious listicle will focus on the perverse affinity for executive power of our alleged “Thought Leaders.” In a year when presidential incompetence and power lust ruled the headlines — when record numbers of Americans feared big government — the leading lights of the American commentariat clamored for more presidential power. Go figure.”
” This interim agreement is badly skewed from America’s perspective. Iran retains its full capacity to enrich uranium, thus abandoning a decade of Western insistence and Security Council resolutions that Iran stop all uranium-enrichment activities. Allowing Iran to continue enriching, and despite modest (indeed, utterly inadequate) measures to prevent it from increasing its enriched-uranium stockpiles and its overall nuclear infrastructure, lays the predicate for Iran fully enjoying its “right” to enrichment in any “final” agreement. Indeed, the interim agreement itself acknowledges that a “comprehensive solution” will “involve a mutually defined enrichment program.” This is not, as the Obama administration leaked before the deal became public, a “compromise” on Iran’s claimed “right” to enrichment. This is abject surrender by the United States.
In exchange for superficial concessions, Iran achieved three critical breakthroughs. First, it bought time to continue all aspects of its nuclear-weapons program the agreement does not cover (centrifuge manufacturing and testing; weaponization research and fabrication; and its entire ballistic missile program). Indeed, given that the interim agreement contemplates periodic renewals, Iran may have gained all of the time it needs to achieve weaponization not of simply a handful of nuclear weapons, but of dozens or more.”
Israel has always had much to fear from an Obama administration and now the worst of those fears have been realized . Kerry and Obama have essentially thrown Israel to the wolves and the massive bloodshed just over the horizon will be on their hands .
” Most importantly, the deal leaves the basic strategic realities unchanged. Iran’s nuclear program was, from its inception, a weapons program, and it remains one today. Even modest constraints, easily and rapidly reversible, do not change that fundamental political and operational reality. And while some already-known aspects of Iran’s nuclear program are returned to enhanced scrutiny, the undeclared and likely unknown military work will continue to expand, thus recalling the drunk looking for his lost car keys under the street lamp because of the better lighting.”
