Exclusive: Obama’s Secret Iran Détente

” The Obama administration began softening sanctions on Iran after the election of Iran’s new president in June, months before the current round of nuclear talks in Geneva or the historic phone call between the two leaders in September.

While those negotiations now appear on the verge of a breakthrough the key condition for Iran—relief from crippling sanctions—began quietly and modestly five months ago.

A review of Treasury Department notices reveals that the U.S. government has all but stopped the financial blacklisting of entities and people that help Iran evade international sanctions since the election of its president, Hassan Rouhani, in June.

In this cat and mouse game, the Treasury Department in recent years has routinely designated new entities as violators of sanctions, forcing Iran to adjust in turn. In the six weeks prior to the Iranian elections in June, the Treasury Department issued seven notices of designations of sanctions violators that included more than 100 new people, companies, aircraft, and sea vessels.

Since June 14, however, when Rouhani was elected, the Treasury Department has only issued two designation notices that have identified six people and four companies as violating the Iran sanctions.

When an entity is designated as a sanctions violator it can be catastrophic. Banks and other investors almost never take the risk of doing business with the people and companies on a Treasury blacklist because of the potential reputational harm and the prospect they could lose access to U.S. financial markets.”

Against the wishes of Israel , our allies and even a rare bipartisan Congress Obama has eased Iran’s way back into the world markets . These are the acts of a dictator/king , not a duly elected president .

” “For five months, since Rouhani’s election, the United States has offered Iran two major forms of sanctions relief,” Dubowitz said. “First there’s been a significant slowdown in the pace of designations while the Iranians are proliferating the number of front companies and cutouts to bust sanctions.”

The second kind of relief Dubowitz said the White House had offered Iran was through its opposition to new Iran sanctions legislation supported by both parties in Congress.”

Another huge stab in the back to the one democratic government in the mideast , one that just makes war with Iran that much more likely . The march of Obama’s “smart diplomacy” continues to leave disbelieving allies in it’s wake . It will take decades for future administrations to repair the damage done to our standing amongst our allies and the world and we are supposed to believe that Bush was the idiot ?

A comparison to Judas would seem appropriate but only a Christian would be offended by that and , all professions of faith aside , it is extremely difficult to see him as a Christian given his support for the FSA/Al Qaeda as they massacre followers of Christ in Syria , his silence on the continuous slaughter of Christians throughout Egypt , Africa and southeast Asia and his rush to free Iran from the bonds of sanctions even as they rush headlong towards their stated goal of driving Israel into the sea .

The Road to World War 3

” We are on a road that leads straight to the World War 3, but in order to see that and to fully understand what is at stake you have to look at the big picture and connect the dots. This video examines the history of the dollar, its relation to oil, and the real motives behind the wars of the past two decades.”

Revealed: New Iranian Nuclear Sites And Further Evidence Of North Korea Collaboration

” Shocking new details of Iran’s nuclear enrichment programme have come to light following a report by a former Iranian Revolutionary Guard member and CIA operative ‘Reza Kahlili’ (pseudonym).

Kahlili, who recently broke the news of the explosion at Iran’s Fordow reactor, reported late last night on further developments which ‘cross red lines’ with regard to Iran’s nuclear programme.

According to Kahlili, Iranian scientists are working on nuclear warheads at an underground site previously unknown Western intelligence services. The source of the new information is a “high-ranking intelligence officer of the Islamic regime” in Iran.

It is claimed that the newly revealed site is approximately 14 miles long and 7.5 miles wide, and consists of two facilities built deep into a mountain, along with a missile facility that is surrounded by barbed wire, 45 security towers and several security posts. A video has been provided, outlining the facilities and showing how they are connected to the latest developments.”

7 Questions That Will Determine the Success or Failure Of Barack Obama’s Second Term

” When British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan was asked what might knock his administration off course, he famously responded, “Events, dear boy, events.” There’s a lot of truth to that. At any point in time, an unexpected event can throw the political world into turmoil. However, more often than not, it’s not the blindside hit that gets you so much as the freight train you’ve seen coming for miles.

When Barack Obama came into office, he had a number of serious challenges to deal with and not only has he effectively addressed very few of them, many of them have worsened on his watch. In fact, the thing Barack Obama has proven most adept at in his first term is pointing the finger elsewhere. He may have been able to shift the blame from himself to George Bush, the filibuster, the Supreme Court, Republicans in Congress, Rush Limbaugh, ATM machines, the economy in Europe and everything under the sun, but after four years and counting in office, more and more of the American people are going to be interested in results rather than excuses. How Barack Obama handles those issues may not only determine how he’s viewed by the American people, it could conceivably impact the reputation of the Democratic Party for decades.

1) When does the economy recover? “

Former UN Ambassador John  Bolton on Obama Foreign Policy .

” Former United Nations Ambassador and senior Mitt Romney campaign surrogate John Bolton ripped into President Barack Obama’s foreign policy at the National Museum for American Jewish History in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Bolton told the auditorium, packed with approximately 200 attendees, that Obama has adopted a submissive “Mother, may I?” approach to diplomacy, in the vain hope that other nations will return the favor.

“The tragedy of the Arab Spring is, in part, our government didn’t understand what was at work there,” Bolton said. “And we saw the tragedy play out in the most tragic way in Benghazi.” “

They won’t get any help from the West  , so they’ll take what they can get

“Could Azerbaijan be the key to Israel’s strategy for successfully attacking Iran’s nuclear program? A report from Reuters suggests that talks are afoot between the two unlikely allies:

[Azerbaijan's support] is a far cry from the massive firepower and diplomatic cover that Netanyahu wants from Washington. But, by addressing key weaknesses in any Israeli war plan—notably on refueling, reconnaissance and rescuing crews—such an alliance might tilt Israeli thinking on the feasibility of acting without U.S. help.”

“NETANYAHU BLASTS THOSE WHO THINK MILITARY STRIKE WORSE THAN NUCLEAR IRAN”

“When Gregory asked Netanyahu why a policy of containment won’t work on Iran the way it did on the Soviet Union, the prime minister explained:

“I think Iran is very different.  They put their zealotry above their survival…. “

“For the world as a whole, it appears Samuel Huntington’s Clash of Civilizations thesis is being borne out by events. And not in the vulgar sense that some read the man’s work—that Islam and Christianity cannot coexist peacefully. But rather that civilizational fault lines are real, and are a source of instability that radicals are now doing their utmost to exploit:”

From Sleeping Giant to Paper Tiger

Jennifer  Rubin

” During the entire Obama term the conservative foreign policy community has made a simple argument: If the United States doesn’t lead and signals weakness, bad things will happen. And now here we are. Cliff May of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies sent me a pithy e-mail this morning: “It’s essential that our allies and our enemies — and those who fall in between — understand that actions carry consequences. . . . [Middle East scholar] Bernard Lewis has said many times that people around the world should view America as the best friend you can have — and the most dangerous enemy. But at the least, it is vital that the opposite impression not be conveyed: That America is harmless as an enemy and treacherous as a friend.” “

“Obama’s Great Islamist Delusion has come home to roost”

” Well, that didn’t work out so well.
We cast aside Hosni Mubarak on a moment’s notice without taking steps to give non-Islamist parties a timetable to organize an effective
transition; we overthrew Muammar Gaddafi, teaching tyrants the lesson that giving up nuclear ambitions is a deadly mistake, and then promptly departed leaving chaos; and we have isolated Israel among a sea of Islamist radicals as it seeks to stop the Iranian’s march towards
nuclear weapon capability.

And all the while, our own government places blame on some previously unknown guy for making some previously unknown film which might be real or not, which people who hated us
before the film take as an insult to Islam.

We’ve even sent out federal law enforcement to locate and report on someone who committed
no crime. “

“Exclusive: America ‘was warned of embassy attack but did nothing’ “

“According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and “lockdown”, under which movement is severely restricted.”

They got what they asked for and now have buyer’s remorse .

“2008, many allies clearly wanted change to the benefit of Mr. Obama. Some 200,000 Germans
showed up in Berlin to hear candidate Obama speak. Der Spiegel wrote favorably at the time:
“For a moment, it was plausible to think that he wanted to quickly launch a global.transformation through this crowd …” “

Four years on and the koolaid has finally worn off . What misery the world has had to endure due to the corruption of the old media and their Chauncey Gardener of an empty suit , as well as the pagan , idol-worshipping , public school indoctrinated idiot American voters .

” In contrast, Obama has spoken primarily of trade eliminating U.S. jobs. He has implied that
much wealth is ill gotten and his policies presume that capital can be allocated better by government officials than free markets, especially in the field of energy. Taxes on investment are set to increase massively in January, with the levy on dividends rising from
15% to as much as 43%.

All of this is noted abroad. The consequence is that people increasingly do business elsewhere.
They invest capital elsewhere. Countries are now more willing to seek trade agreements with
Canada than with the United States, for example. Allies have to cut deals with the bad actors in their regions. More countries
contemplate nuclear arsenals of their own. Tyrannical governments see no cost to crushing dissent violently.”

A very informative look into domestic oil production and oil pricing in general .

“However, Midwest refineries are
generally designed to process light,
sweet oil, which means they can handle output from the Bakken but are not up to processing heavy oil from the sands.
Oil-sands crude needs to go to the Gulf Coast, where an army of sophisticated refineries are thirsty for heavy oil. All that is lacking is a pipeline to connect supply with demand, but at the moment there is no such pipe; thus, the supply glut at Cushing has discounted
heavy oil significantly. Western Canada
Select, the benchmark crude oil coming out of Canada’s oil sands, closed at US$ 74.73 per barrel on March 5, a 30% discount to WTI and a 40% discount to Brent. “
