Principal: L.I. High School Students Suspended Indefinitely For Displaying Confederate Flag

” Two Long Island high school students have been suspended for allegedly bringing a Confederate flag to school.

Brother Gary Cregan, principal of St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, said the two seniors walked in with a Confederate flag draped around their shoulders during an after-hours sporting event at the school.

The students were initially suspended for 10 days, but Cregan decided Tuesday they won’t be allowed back, Brown reported.

Cregan wrote a letter to parents saying the use of any symbols “designed to revive past injustices or to inflame discrimination or racial intolerance, is completely unacceptable and profoundly offensive,” Newsday reported.

The students haven’t explained why they did it. St. Anthony’s is a private Catholic school and isn’t bound by the First Amendment right to free speech.

Still, the New York Civil Liberties Union said all people should be able to express their views freely, even the offensive ones.

“ Our motto is more speech, not censorship or punishment,” NYCLU director Donna Lieberman told Brown. “Helping children understand the impact of this patently offensive expressive activity.” “

Churchville High School Fight – Rochester, NY

We apologize to our readers . The original video that was posted on both Liveleak and Youtube has been removed due to “violations of terms of service” and we neglected to download the vid ourselves . We had no idea it would disappear so quickly and so must offer you this news report instead .

Girlfight

Here is a news report of the brawl from WHEC

” The argument between two girls quickly grew to a fight between seven. The fights happened just before dismissal. The school had about six security guards on duty. It took almost two minutes for them to get to the fight, but teachers were around. In the video, you can hear a teacher tell someone to get help and try to get the students to stop.

The principal of the high school says the teacher followed protocol, saying it is the safest way to handle these situations.

Bill Geraci, Churchville Chili High School Principal, said, “”I’ve been in schools a long time, if teachers get involved physically, it can escalate the fight and more people can get hurt.” “

It’s a pansy-ass world we live in when the teachers are afraid to stop a fight in the hallway . In our day the teachers would have been wading in there and pulling those kids apart in seconds . This is the world that lawyers bring … paralysis , fear and liability .

” Heather Levia, a manager at McDonald’s, paid for breakfast for fire fighters battling a house fire in sub-zero temperatures.

Moments later, another fire department ordered breakfast. When she asked her company to pay it, they denied it.

Therefore, she and her co-workers coughed up the dough. Now, she’s out of a job. She’s been working at McDonald’s for eight years.

Her company says it’s not because she paid for the food. It’s because they say she swore at a supervisor.”

Internet Activist Recovers Deleted Video Of Police Assault, This Is How We Win!

” The power of the internet knows no bounds. It is our most powerful weapon against corruption and has helped to shed light on the ones that wish to remain in the darkness.

The story below is another wonderful example of how the internet is helping to exonerate the innocent whilst bringing justice to the corrupt.

A man was assaulted by police and his video of the incident confiscated. He was then jailed for 10 days after false charges were brought against him.

A year later he received his phone back only to find that the files had been corrupted and the video unplayable.

He reached out to the internet, and the internet answered. One of the files was repaired by a reddit user, which shows the assault on video. He explains what happens in the story below.”

Below is a newly released video from Mr “Baxter” purporting to document the tampering of his cell phone while in police custody . Mr “Baxter” has other files pertaining to the assault that are still corrupted and welcomes any assistance from the public in retrieving those files . The corrupted files are available for download here and you can read more of his plight at The Free Thought Project.

A Liveleak user has also managed to recover a substantial portion of the audio in which the officer can be heard telling the videographer to get the f**k out of here .

Recovered Video:Audio False Arrest

This entire episode seems somewhat suspicious as the videographer provides no details beyond the video . Following various links leads one to assume that this transpired in Oneida county in upstate NY and while the videos are posted on Youtube under the name of George Baxter on one video the videographer claims his name is Mark Lambridge .

The video offers a brief glimpse of the patrol car and it’s license plate but is too blurry for us to make out as is the view of the officer’s name tag and the license plates on a truck in the background . As much as we despise police abuse and want to help in combatting it , we cannot help but believe that we are not getting the whole story here . We reserve judgement for now and offer the reader what information that we could find . Decide for yourselves .

Convicts Are Now Enrolling In Obamacare

” Obamacare enrollment numbers have fallen so short of the Obama administration’s anticipated goal that the government has begun enrolling America’s most upstanding citizens–our incarcerated population–and picking up the tab for it, too.

Albany County, New York Sheriff Craig Apple has pushed hard for prisoners to enroll in Obamacare. He says it’s a win-win situation for inmates and taxpayers. Apple told WRGB that taxpayers will only be forced to pay once for inmates’ medical bills- through their federal taxes, not in addition to their county taxes. Sheriff Apple said that there are around 400 inmates eligible to enroll in Obamacare.”

Read the rest and see if you think Sheriff Apple is right . All we can see is that thanks to government healthcare we  , the taxpayers , are picking up the tab for anyone who can’t pay for it themselves which by their very nature means all inmates all the time … Obamacare or not . Yet who could deny the enhancements to the enrollment numbers that the two million member captive audience that is the prison population can offer as a much needed public relations boost to the beleaguered ACA .

Remington Arms Moving 2,000+ Jobs From NY To Alabama

Remington1

” Remington first began considering new locations after the New York legislature passed the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act in response to the tragic shootings in Newtown, Conn. In addition to banning magazines that contain more than seven rounds and requiring instant background checks on ammo purchases,  the NY SAFE Act broadened the definition of so-called “assault weapons” to include a wide range of guns, including the Bushmaster, which was being manufactured at Remington’s New York plant.

Almost half the states in the country have made pitches to Remington, included Arizona, Oklahoma, Michigan, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. But in the end, the company chose Huntsville, Ala.

The initial estimated impact on Alabama’s economy will be roughly $87 million.”

Way to go Andy … it’s not like NY has jobs to spare , especially upstate . This move on Remington’s part is surely he beginning of the end for it’s Ilion operations and one wonders , will Kimber be next ?

Hamptons mom accused of beating up nanny who tried to stop her driving drunk with kid in the car

“A Hamptons mother is accused of beating up a nanny who tried to stop her drunk-driving with her child in the car.
Laura Bowery-Falco, 44, an equestrian trainer, allegedly attacked the family nanny after a dispute on the afternoon of July 11, when the victim was carrying her 14-month-old child.

Bowery-Falco, from Long Island, appeared at Southampton town court Wednesday accused of aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.”

TSA Searches Valet Parked Cars

” She says she had no warning that someone was going to search her car after she left to catch her flight. So the woman contacted News10NBC.

We found out it happened to her because she valet parked her car. Those are the only cars that get inspected.

So if security feels it is necessary to search some cars in the name of safety, why not search all of them?

Laurie Iacuzza walked to her waiting car at the Greater Rochester International Airport after returning from a trip and that’s when she found it — a notice saying her car was inspected after she left for her flight. She said, “I was furious. They never mentioned it to me when I booked the valet or when I picked up the car or when I dropped it off.” “

Nikola Tesla’s Lab Saved Through Crowd-Sourcing

” In 9 days, we managed to raise over 1 million dollars to go towards buying back Tesla’s old laboratory, and with the $850,000 matching grant from NY state this puts us at 1.85 million bucks. At its peak, the campaign was raising $27,000 per hour, crashing Indiegogo, and probably setting some kind of land speed record in awesomeness. Indiegogo put together this infographic showing some interesting data points behind the campaign.

We’ve added some new perks to the campaign, including more t-shirts, hats, and posters signed by Tesla’s last remaining relative.”

SWAT officer attracts ridicule after he’s pictured with his rifle sight on backwards

image

“A SWAT team in upstate New York is being mocked as an example of the difference between military and police training after an officer was captured peering through a backwards sight on his combat rifle.
As users on the military Reddit were quick to point out when the image was posted, the reverse sight makes it effectively useless.
Users mocked the SWAT officers training and some went so far as to question the motives of some of the men serving in local law enforcement.”

New York Newspaper Faces Backlash After Publishing Map Of Gun Permit Holders

Westchester CCW

” The article, in explaining the decision to publish the information, pointed to the school massacre in nearby Newtown, Conn., and the concerns of some residents about which of their neighbors might have firearms.

But readers swiftly condemned the move. They pointed out that the interactive map could make the gun owners a target, but also make clear to would-be robbers which homes do not contain a gun.

“Do you fools realize that you also made a map for criminals to use to find homes to rob that have no guns in them to protect themselves?” one reader wrote on Facebook.

“You have just destroyed the privacy of these law abiding citizens and by releasing this list, you have equated them to that of sex offenders and murders,” wrote another. “These are law abiding gun owners, they are no danger to anyone except for criminals. And with this information you have made them targets for both criminals and anti gun lobbyist who i am sure are going to treat them like monsters.” “

Ignore Us At Your Peril

“Actress Kyra Segdwick On Hollywood’s Mistake: Ignoring Midwest”

“Actress Kyra Sedgwick might be tempting fate in Hollywood with a recent interview on the Tavis Smiley show on PBS where she scolded her industry for ignoring the great middle of the country.

Sedgwick was on the show discussing her recently concluded series The Closer on TNT and noted that the show was a great hit in the Midwest, but not in L.A. or New York City. At first she said she felt insulted at this ratings truth, but it wasn’t long before she realized that this wasn’t a bad thing at all.”

“The vast majority of tickets we see are for breaking one of these million rules they have: You’re a foot too close to the fire hydrant, a foot too close to the crosswalk,
the table is too long,” said Mr. Basinski, who has been lobbying to change the fine structure for several years. “You can very quickly be at that $1,000 level for every
ticket.”

As someone who spent thirty years trying to negotiate the byzantine maze of  laws and regulation in the state of NY and show a profit ,  I can attest to the fact that the state seems bent on driving us all to ” go Galt ” . I know that’s what I did .
