3 Minors Point Gun At Man, Woman In North Philadelphia

” Police say three minors pointed what appears to be a gun at two people in North Philadelphia earlier this week.

The youngest suspect, 10-years-old, turned himself in on Wednesday night.

Police say the gun was either a toy gun or a BB gun. Authorities continue to search for two additional minors.

The incident occurred in the Tioga section of the city on Monday around 6:45 p.m.

According to police, a 27-year-old man was approached by a group of males on the 3300 block of North 16th Street.

Police say one of the males then reached into his backpack, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim saying “hey buddy.” “

Amazing New Details From The Chase For The Boston Bombers

” The police chief, Edward Deveau, describes how cops nearly apprehended the older suspect, and were placing handcuffs on him in the middle of the street Thursday night, when the younger suspect came at officers in a carjacked SUV. The cops were able “to dive out of the way,” and the younger suspect then continued to drive directly over his brother and dragging him through the street. That’s how the older suspect died, according to the police chief.”

POLICE POLL: ARMED CITIZENS, NOT GUN CONTROL, WILL LOWER VIOLENT CRIME

PoliceOne_Poll

” In the poll of 15,000 law enforcement professionals, 71% of respondents said an “assault weapons” ban would have zero impact on violent crime. Of those surveyed, 95.7% said the same of a “high capacity” magazine ban, and 79.7% said the same in response to a question on universal background checks.

Over 90% of these law enforcement professionals said “mandatory sentences with no plea bargains” for those who use a gun in perpetrating a crime would reduce violent crime.

When asked if they supported concealed carry laws for citizens without a felony in their past, 91.3% of respondents answered “yes” on “without question and without further restrictions.” “

The homeowner shot the suspect three times.”

911 Audio Here

” The 911 call lasted about five minutes.  The caller stayed on the line with dispatchers as he waited for officers to arrive:

Caller: “They’re beating on my front door right now.”
Dispatcher: “Okay, we’ve got them on the way”

As the caller waited for police, the intruder managed to break into the home.  Several gunshots can be heard during their confrontation.

“I just put three rounds in his *expletive,*” said the caller to dispatchers.

I Love This Cop. Best Open Carry Stop Ever

” I Love This Cop. Best Open carry Stop Ever .We meet up with Warren from Markedguardian and decide to take a stroll.

The  purpose of this video was to test the police atmosphere around firearms
for not only legal, but personal views. This police officer shows both,
and we later thanked him and the station.

We needed to test the area
because we were going to host the Patriot Party, which was an armed get
together at a park, which went very well.

With great police like this, aren’t you jealous of our police force?

At last a Cop that knows his job,the statutes of limitation and the Constitution.”

Thousands of Cops to Protect Obama, Instead of Citizens

” Over 5,000 police will be directly involved in providing security for Obama and his entourage, while hundreds of others will be helping out in indirect ways. For example, over 100 officers will be added to the police help line specifically to deal with issues called in by citizens relating to the Obama visit. Police will keep citizens updated on all aspects of the visit by phone and through social media.”

SWAT officer attracts ridicule after he’s pictured with his rifle sight on backwards

image

“A SWAT team in upstate New York is being mocked as an example of the difference between military and police training after an officer was captured peering through a backwards sight on his combat rifle.
As users on the military Reddit were quick to point out when the image was posted, the reverse sight makes it effectively useless.
Users mocked the SWAT officers training and some went so far as to question the motives of some of the men serving in local law enforcement.”

ACLU Has Concerns Over Military Weapons Used By Local Police

” ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The American Civil Liberties Union wants to know what kind of military weaponry and tactics are being turned over to local police by the Department of Defense and Homeland Security.

The ACLU feels the surplus equipment, things like flash-bang grenades, shock cuffs, and tracking devices that are being handed down, are leading to more aggressive policing, especially in poor neighborhoods and neighborhoods of color.

John Chasnoff with the ACLU of Eastern Missouri describes an incident that happened in Michigan. “A S.W.A.T. team threw flash-bang grenades into a house then, when the S.W.A.T. team rushed in, they got confused and ended up killing a young girl who was sleeping on a couch.” “

This a very disturbing trend . It’s about time the ACLU shed it’s partisan blinders and participated in the discussion .

From Hot Air

“ Project Veritas is back on the gun-control beat with a brand new video out today.  With gun-control advocates insisting that Americans don’t really need firearms for personal protection because we have police forces to act as instant-response armed guards, PV went undercover to talk with actual police officers about the reality of police response.  Unlike the politicians that want to volunteer them for guard duty, the police in the videos are a lot more realistic about the limits of police response — even if they are creative about alternative solutions to firearms in an emergency:”

Let’s Start By Controlling Police Gun Violence

We will start by saying that this article really needs to be read by everyone that has an interest in the present gun control debate and to tell you that this information is not anything you are likely to encounter in the mainstream media .

That being said we are going to differ from our usual habit of posting a particularly engrossing paragraph in hopes of grabbing your attention . Today we are going to go through the entire essay and present you with some of the more salient facts that we doubt most of you are aware of .

In case any of you are unfamiliar with the author , here is a brief biography of James Bovard , a man who has worked tirelessly his entire life at promoting liberty , freedom , limited government and accountability for said State .

Here we go …

” While the president’s strident warnings about privately owned guns evoked a hallelujah media chorus, his administration is scorning a mandate to track how many Americans are shot and killed each year by government agents.”

Hardly surprising , given Obama’s Statist proclivities ..

” The same 1994 law that temporarily banned the sale of assault weapons also required the federal government to compile data on police shootings nationwide.”

Need we mention that this requirement has been completely ignored ? And note that police shootings are by no means an insignificant part of the annual killings nationwide .

” Shootings by police accounted for almost 10 percent of the homicides in Los Angeles County in 2010, according to the Los Angeles Times.”

Fortunately there are people out there who are attempting to do the government’s job .

“ Jim Fisher, a former FBI agent and criminal law professor, compiled a database of police shootings and estimated that police in the United States in 2011 shot more than 1,100 people, killing 607.”

Remember that number 607 fatalities , and that could well be very much a lowball figure since the police do everything in their power to hide the truth .

” According to the FBI, 323 people were killed nationwide by rifles in 2011 — less than 4 percent of the total deaths by firearms.”

That is killings with ALL types of rifles . The statistics do not distinguish between single shot , pump , bolt action or semi-automatic so it is safe to assume that the number killed by any type of semi-automatic rifle is only a portion of that total . that means that the vilified “assault” rifle is responsible for considerably less than 4 % of gun homicides . Now understand that of the total “death by rifle” nationwide fully 10% of those fatalities invovle the police doing the shooting so that lowers the number of rifle killings NATIONWIDE to 291 … less than half of the people killed by police in the same time frame .

” Not only do government agencies fail to track official violence against Americans, they also sometimes pre-emptively exonerate all such attacks.”

In the past the Justice Department has classified ALL police killings as “felons justifiably killed by police.” State and local police agencies are no more transparent about police shootings than are the Feds .

” For instance, Maryland police are protected by a “Law Enforcement Officers Bill of Rights” that prohibits questioning a police officer for 10 days after any incident in which he or she used deadly force. “

That would appear to be the rule as opposed to the exception …

” Investigations of police shootings in Las Vegas (which had one of the highest rates of police homicides in the nation) were stymied in 2010 and 2011 because “police unions balked at inquest reforms, first by advising members not to testify at the hearings and then helping officers file a lawsuit challenging the new system’s constitutionality…”

That should give you the picture . As you can see the police and the Justice Department are the last one’s we should be listening to when it comes to having an honest discussion of the dangers posed to the public by an armed populace . The ” thin blue line ” is really a code of silence in regards to police accountability . As we said read the whole thing and take everything professed as the “facts” from the State with a HUGE grain of salt .

Civilian Shoots Would-Be Robber During Attempted Bank Hold-Up

”  Police chased a car at high speeds down 169 Highway, after police suspected the person inside attempted to rob the First Security Bank of Trimble, 202 Highway 169, in Trimble, Mo.

The FBI said a man walked into the bank, showed a weapon and demanded cash. He was shot in the face by a civilian in the bank during the attempted robbery and then left, the FBI said.”

20 Years Ago Today(2/28): Operation Showtime

” The Davidians were accused of several transgressions, accusations that helped in their demonization and served to rationalize the raid in the first place. They allegedly had a meth lab, which no one seriously believed, since this was based on the Davidians having reported the remains of a meth lab from years ago when they moved in. But the drug connection allowed for exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act and the use of military hardware in the siege. They were accused of stockpiling weapons, although at least one Davidian was a licensed weapons dealer. And eventually the focus fell on Koresh’s alleged abuse of children.

As bad as February 28, 1993, should have been for ATF’s public relations, in the long run it didn’t hurt at all. In the midst of Sandy Hook, progressives from Rachel Maddow to John Stewart focused on the ATF’s supposed underfunding and insufficient personnel. Maddow even depicted the agency’s behavior at Waco as heroic.

In the last 20 years, the militarization of domestic policing has only ramped up—the drug war, the terror war, gun confiscations and martial law after Katrina, an explosion in prison populations and spending on local policing, military weaponry in the hands of law enforcement, concentration camps for illegal immigrants, internal checkpoints, SWAT raids unleashed on mostly non-violent Americans about one hundred times a day. Police kill about one American every day, and even if you think 90% of them deserve it, the sheer enormity of this situation deserves unrelenting scrutiny if not revolutionary outrage, not the yawns or outright support that we see instead.

When the LAPD dealt with Chris Dorner earlier this month by surrounding him in a wooden cabin, launching CS gas and incendiary devices, and reportedly blocking his escape, it was carrying out a policy of instant summary execution, and the tactics were all too familiar. The officers had even told the media to look away, and all too many journalists were eager to oblige. And the people seemed glad to have one more killer off the street, unconcerned about the innocents hit in the police department’s reckless rampage to hunt down Dorner and kill him, as though they are properly judge, jury, and executioner.”

Magpul Goes Bad. Update: Magpul Responds And Our Reply.

” While nearly 100 companies have pledged to hold all purchasers of firearms and accessories to the standard of what’s available to everyday civilians, in what’s commonly known as the New York boycottArmalite and now Magpul have taken an opposing stand.  (See also The Police Loophole.)

The good folks at Magpul have instead sided with Armalite against freedom and law-abiding American firearm owners – and what’s more, they’ve one-upped Armalite in their sales practices!

According to their sales manager Justin Beard in a post at AR15.com, Justin Beard wrote:

The answer is yes, our Distributors are allowed to sell to LEOs in ban states. Our founder has also said regarding LEO restrictions, “We have not considered such a move as we are not convinced that this tactic will have any effect on those in power (they will just buy Israeli or some other generic parts). It also adversely punishes street cops, local sheriffs and individual military members for the actions of those in power. The last thing we want to do is hurt those who support our cause.”

So, we see that we can support Law Enforcement and Military members while standing up for our convictions and will continue to do everything in our power to protect our inherent rights.

[Emphasis added.]

Yes, indeed.  The last thing they want to do is hurt those who support “our” cause.

Apparently to Magpul, that means supporting those who will enforce unconstitutional restrictions on our Second Amendment rights.

As we said, Magpul has one-upped Armalite and to add insult to injury, not only are they selling their products that are banned to civilian ownership to law-enforcement in those restrictive locales, they have established an express lane for law enforcement “professionals” to get their standard-capacity PMAGs right away…  even law enforcement officers in restrictive locations such as New York which now ban sales of standard capacity magazines to civilians.

These law enforcement “professionals” will use these PMAGs in the course of the job-related activities to arrest and prosecute gun owners who were law-abiding at the end of 2012 but no longer.

Military and law-enforcement can order up to ten PMAGs in this “express lane”.

Read the whole thing . It includes a detailed response from Magpul along with a Fisking of that response which provides food for thought regarding Magpul’s true loyalties . Increasingly those loyalties are seeming to lie with the almighty dollar rather than the 2nd Amendment .

* Try as we might , we couldn’t locate this special offer page on Magpul’s webpage . We assume that they’ve decided to somehow reduce the visibility of that special LEO offer .

Homeowner Kills Intruder: ‘I Was Fighting For My Life’

” HICKORY, N.C. – A Hickory man is grateful to be alive after he said an intruder broke down his front door, and tried to beat him and rob him Saturday morning.

Paul Ohle said he was in his kitchen around 9 a.m. when he heard his front door being kicked in.  Ohle said the man called for help, but as Ohle reached for his phone, the man wrestled it out of his hands.

Ohle now has nearly a dozen staples on the top and side of his head where he was beaten.

“I was fighting for my life,” he said.

Ohle said he finally broke free and ran to his bedroom, where he grabbed a revolver and shot the man to death.

“I hate I had to do it,” he said, “but I shot him.” “

GUESS THE ENDING: TRIO OF SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS TRIES ‘VIOLENTLY’ BREAKING INTO HOME OF DAD AND HIS 2-YEAR-OLD SON AND…

” Authorities said two suspects were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third managed to escape on foot.

We’re told the homeowner and the child were not harmed.

Right now, there is a vague description of that third suspect, who is believed wearing dark clothing. According to Reed, K-9 units tracked the suspect a quarter of a mile west of the crime scene. It was there, investigators say, the suspect is believed to have gotten into a vehicle.”

Your Tax Dollars at Work : Check Out the New Tiny “Bug Bot” Drones from the Air Force

” Most people understand that we have a massive military industrial complex (MIC.) Defense contractors and government partner to develop weapon systems and improve our “war fighting” capabilities. Massive amounts of money got to the Pentagon and contractors.

An offshoot of the MIC, it is a fast growing area for contractors and there are mega (tax) dollars to be made in surveillance.

Take a look at this amazing video recently produced by the Air Force introducing drones which act  and look like birds and insects. There are powered by the sun, wind, power lines,  even “vibrating machinery.” It is truly mind blowing technology. How would you like a swarm of these things floating around your town? “

We’re Not Going To Have An “Adult Conversation” About State Violence, Are We?

” More than a week after first allegedly shooting the daughter of a police officer and her fiancée, the Christopher Dorner saga ended with him most likely burning up in a cabin in which he holed up this week. The police may have set the fire themselves. Another account has the police pushing Dorner back into the burning structure [8:34pm ET update].  Officially it’s still unclear how the fire began*. Nevertheless, at the end of it, four people were killed by a former police officer out on a vendetta against his former police force. And the LAPD responded by coming down on the city of Los Angeles for a week, shooting seemingly indiscriminately at targets that bore only the vaguest resemblance to Dorner and searching homes door to door. Almost comically, Dorner’s alleged manifesto included strong anti-gun sentiments. It’s useful to note here that most attempts at gun control include generous exemptions both for law enforcement and often ex-law enforcement. Feinstein’s bill does that. There was widespread panic when Cuomo’s anti-gun laws in New York didn’t.

Yet, Dorner, and ex-cops, aren’t the only ones that can be irresponsible gun owners. Earlier this week the attorney general of Ohio released an animation depicting how 13 cops managed to fire off an astonishing 137 rounds in under 30 seconds into a car with two unarmed passengers they pursued in a high speed chase after a phantom gunshot was heard in another town.”

Newburgh Resident Fends Off Three Armed Burglars With Loaded Shotgun

” NEWBURGH Police say three masked men with handguns entered a home on South Plank Road in the Town of Newburgh Sunday evening, threatened the residents and demanded money, but were ultimately driven away by a shotgun-wielding resident of the home.

At 10 p.m. police were called to 109 South Plank Road to a report of shots being fired. Police were directed to Highland Avenue where residents reported hearing shots and seeing people running to a dark SUV. Residents of 109 South Plank Road told police that the men entered the home. One resident on the second floor grabbed a loaded shotgun and confronted a suspect in the stairway, firing a shot at him.”
