” The take-away from this week’s session, so Representative Devin Nunes (R–CA) told Fox’s Megyn Kelly, was that the beleaguered U.S. diplomats and CIA staff in Benghazi were not beyond assistance, as Obama Administration officials would have us believe. Repeatedlymembers of the Administration have stated that there was just not enough time for military assets to come to the aid of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and his staff in the diplomatic facility, or the contractors and staff in the CIA annex roughly a mile away.
Yet, two factors have emerged, undercutting the Administration’s argument:
- The diplomatic facility came under attack at 9:00 p.m. on September11, fighting at the CIA annex erupted between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., and culminated with a mortar barrage at 5:00 a.m. on the 12th. Throughout the evening and the morning, people all over Benghazi, including other foreign diplomats, followed the fighting with fascination. No one could possibly know with certainty that this was the end of the battle, though Washington clearly hoped that it was.
- Seven CIA security specialists actually did come to the rescue from Tripoli, arriving at the CIA annex just as the mortar attack was erupting at 5:00 a.m. Their trip on a Libyan military C-130H cargo plane had been an exercise in massive frustration, including three and a half hours spent at the Benghazi airport, waiting on negotiations with local Libyan militias over safe passage from the airport to the CIA annex. The CIA specialists did finally make it to the annex, to the massive relief of the besieged staff. “

” Contractors described the cries for help that night by the state department personnel as “almost frantic” as they were pleading for help to save their lives.
Westmoreland reports that when the CIA team arrived, they found the state department personnel unarmed, not “kitted up,” and in hiding. He also said that the testimony revealed that up to the point when the CIA contractors arrived at the compound, no shots had been fired from the American side of the conflict.
This contradicts previous statements by the State Department-sponsored Accountability Review Board that stated the Americans inside were armed and had their security kits in use.”
The lies continue to make their way to the surface . Benghazi should be the end of Hillary’s political ambitions but given the best efforts of the media in sweeping her malfeasance in the Benghazi affair under the rug and their desperate desire to see her become our first woman president the public at large will remain blissfully occupied with the doings of the Kardashian tribe and the newest smart phones rather than the corruption of the Obama administration and the State department under Hillary’s shameful “leadership” .
The lies and coverup of the Benghazi attacks have always been about preserving political viability , firstly Barack’s for 2012 and secondly Hillary’s in 2016 . The water-carriers in the MSM are not about to abandon all that they have invested in the Democratic party because a few Americans lost their lives to Obama/Clinton incompetence and selfishness . After all , “what difference does it make” ?
” The injuries were sustained by U.S. personnel after mortars struck the CIA annex rooftop they were defending. Fox News is told that one former government contractor — who is expected to testify this week along with four other contractors in classified sessions on Capitol Hill — has had multiple surgeries since the attack and has still not regained full use of one arm.
In addition to former Navy Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who were killed defending the Annex, at least two other Americans were severely injured on the roof top.
Diplomatic Security Agent David Ubben – who as late as August was still recovering at Walter Reed Medical Center in suburban Washington – was so severely injured fighting alongside the Seals that he has undergone multiple surgeries. The protocol is often referred to as a “leg or limb salvage.” “
” Little is known about those who survived the Benghazi attack. The State Department confirmed in March, after multiple inquiries by Fox News, that a total of three diplomatic security agents, as well as a State Department contractor, were among the Americans injured during the terrorist assault which killed the two former SEALs, Ambassador Chris Stevens, and Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith.”
The American people deserve to learn the truth about Benghazi and it’s cover-up . Enough with the stonewalling and lies . It is plain to anyone with an open mind that Obama and Clinton have gone to tremendous lengths to preserve their political viability and that in Obama’s case he has succeeded . He won his reelection and so now is done but Hillary still dreams of returning to the White House and thus cannot afford for the truth to be known .
That truth being , in simple , easy to understand terms , that for the first time since the Iranian revolution a president and his Secretary of State not only allowed the sovereignty of an American embassy to be violated after having been warned of potential threats , but refused to bolster security in response to the threats and then when the threats actually materialized refused help for the minimal besieged security forces that were in place . A clearer example of dereliction of duty by a “Commander-In-Chief” we can’t imagine .
The link below offers a very clear and concise summary of the events of September 11/12 , 2012 . If there is one article on the Benghazi ATTACK that we would suggest as required reading it is this one . Read it and bookmark it for the links and as a reference point . As to the aftermath and subsequent cover-up we need to turn elsewhere and this post published on October 30th of that year reveals in very stark terms how little we have learned in the past year.

It Makes A Great Deal Of Difference
” Here is truly one of the exceptional good guys on Capitol Hill, my former colleague and friend Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC). I would love to see President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Susan Rice being questioned by Rep. Gowdy, with no 5 minute time limit.”
” Hillary Clinton left the State Department with a sky-high approval rating. With her broad appeal and presumed White House ambitions, the conventional wisdom, supported by early polls, suggested she would roll to the Democratic nomination in 2016 and then trounce whomever Republicans trotted out to face her.
Yet less than a year removed from her old job, Clinton’s popularity has fallen from its once-lofty heights, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll out this week.
In the poll, 46 percent of adults expressed a favorable opinion of Clinton, while 33 percent viewed her unfavorably. That’s not too shabby — Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) came in with a 17/43 favorable to unfavorable split — but it’s well down from January, when 56 percent liked Clinton versus 25 percent who did not.
All told, that means Clinton’s net favorability had fallen an astounding 18 points since the start of the year.”
What difference does it make ? This is what difference it makes Hillary …
” Masked from public view, two of the U.S. military’s elite special operations commandos have been awarded medals for bravery for a mission that further undercuts the Obama administration’s original story about the Benghazi tragedy.
It said time and distance prevented any commandos outside Libya from reaching a CIA compound under attack. The timeline disclosed that a reinforcement flight 400 miles away in Tripoli contained two “DoD personnel” but did not describe who they were. Later, the official State Department report on Benghazi said they were “two U.S. military personnel” — but provided no other details. It made no mention of special operations forces.
But sources directly familiar with the attack tell The Washington Times that a unit of eight special operators — mostly Delta Force and Green Beret members — were in Tripoli the night of the attack, on a counterterrorism mission that involved capturing weapons and wanted terrorists from the streets and helping train Libyan forces.
The two special operations forces arrived in time to engage in the final, ferocious firefight between the terrorists and Americans holed up in the CIA annex near the ill-fated diplomatic mission in Benghazi, the sources added.
The two special operators were awarded medals for valor for helping repel a complex attack that killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stephens, another American diplomat and two former Navy SEALs, but spared many more potential casualties.”
” When U.S. commandos grabbed a former al Qaeda operative in Tripoli this month, American forces were just hours away from potentially launching a more dangerous covert raid to capture a militia figure facing charges in the deadly Benghazi terror attack, U.S. officials tell CNN.
U.S. special operations forces were ready, if ordered, to enter Benghazi and capture Ahmed Abu Khattalah, a leading figure in the Ansar Al-Sharia militia. But the mission never materialized.
But the mission never materialized, partly because there was so much publicity inside Libya and in the western press about the al-Libi capture.
But the inability to get Khattalah is leading to sensitive questions inside the administration about the tradeoff between getting al-Libi and going after the perpetrators of the politically charged Benghazi attack.”
We all know the administration has absolutely no interest in bringing the Benghazi terrorists to justice . Testimony from the terrorists responsible would be nothing but an embarrassment to an administration with so much to hide .
Administration al-Qaeda Apologists
” The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said this morning that the new evidence unveiled showing al-Qaeda plotted the Benghazi diplomatic mission attack proves the “cries for help” from Ambassador Chris Stevens “were not responded to.”
CBS featured on 60 Minutes last night the first Western eyewitness to the Sept. 11, 2012, attack: a former British soldier involved in diplomatic security.
“About 30 minutes into the attack, a Quick Reaction Force from the CIA annex ignored orders to wait and raced to the compound, at times running and shooting their way through the streets just to get there,” the guard said. “Inside the compound, they repelled a force of as many as 60 armed terrorists and managed to save five American lives and recover the body of Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith. They were forced to fight their way out before they could find the ambassador.”
He noted al-Qaeda had promised to attack the Red Cross, the British and Americans in Benghazi, and had already carried out the first two before the Sept. 11 attack.
“They knew what they were doing,” the guard said. “That was a well-executed attack.” “
One has to wonder , from our Dear Leader’s point of view , if this a bug or a feature.
Benghazi Attorney: Very Good Evidence People Were RELIEVED OF DUTY Because They Insisted On A Military Response
” Benghazi whistleblower attorney Joe DiGenova was on with WMAL this morning to talk Benghazi after last night’s 60 minutes piece and noted toward the end of the interview that there is very good evidence that people were relieved of command because they insisted on a military response and refused to not dispatch troops to aid our men on the ground in Benghazi. He also stated that the main reason there was no response was because the president went to sleep and refused to issue an order allowing our troops to fly into Libya.”
Free Patriot has the complete video and transcript . While it is about time that a major news network acknowledged that shame that is the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack , 60 minutes ,after promising some sort of bombshell revelations , comes up short .
Nothing new here to those of us that have been paying attention.
” When Chris Stevens was killed in Benghazi, Libya, on the anniversary of September 11th last year, it was only the sixth time that the United States had lost an ambassador to its enemies. The events of that night have been overshadowed by misinformation, confusion and intense partisanship. But for those who lived through it, there’s nothing confusing about what happened, and they share a sense of profound frustration because they say they saw it coming.
Tonight, you will hear for the first time from a security officer who witnessed the attack. He calls himself, Morgan Jones, a pseudonym he’s using for his own safety. A former British soldier, he’s been helping to keep U.S. diplomats and military leaders safe for the last decade. On a night he describes as sheer hell, Morgan Jones snuck into a Benghazi hospital that was under the control of al Qaeda terrorists, desperate to find out if one of his close friends from the U.S. Special Mission was the American he’d been told was there.”
” Listen to James Rosenthal talk here with Bill O’Reilly about what he knows that CBS knows that we’ll all know on Sunday, that the Hussein Obama administration does not want us to know! Whew!”

” The State Department’s “Rewards for Justice” program — which offers multimillion-dollar payouts for tips leading to wanted terrorists — does not include suspects in the Benghazi terror attack.
The State Department has not offered an explanation as to why those individuals are not on the list. Pressed by Fox News and The Associated Press on Thursday, spokeswoman Marie Harf suggested the important thing was that the Obama administration is resolved to find those suspects.
“This is nothing at all to do with politics. We’ve made crystal clear that we want to find these people and bring them to justice,” Harf said. “Whether we pay a couple million dollars isn’t the point — the point is we believe it’s a priority … and whether they are on a website or not doesn’t change that.”
She cited “classified deliberations” as the reason the State Department could not publicly explain who was on the list and whether the Benghazi suspects were even considered.”
What could possibly be classified about whether to put a price on the Benghazi attackers heads ? If Adam Gadahn , who has not been accused of killing Americans is worth $5 Million why are the Benghazi terrorists worth nothing ? Should we suppose that our beloved government doesn’t really want them captured ?
” Hillary Clinton continued her post-retirement speaking tour in Buffalo last night, but it didn’t go undisturbed. A heckler began yelling in the middle of her speech, shouting “Benghazi! Benghazi! You let them die!” Clinton responded by insisting that issues need calm discussion, not yelling:
Ed Morrissey said it best .
” I seem to recall when Congress asked Hillary Clinton to sit down and tell them the truth about what happened in Benghazi that her reaction didn’t exactly follow her own advice:”
Jay Carney Accuses Fox News’ James Rosen of ‘Creating an Exchange for Fox’ on Benghazi
Published on Oct 17, 2013
” Fox News National Security Correspondent James Rosen put in an appearance at Thursday’s White House Daily Briefing to engage Press Secretary Jay Carney on the topic of Republican Congressional investigations into Benghazi. Carney, who has been increasingly eager to call out what he sees as partisan questioning, accused Rosen of “creating an exchange for Fox,” to which Rosen shot back “what we are engaged in here is for the record, not for Fox.”
Rosen, who was the subject of Justice Department subpoenas in the leak investigation into then-State Department contractor Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, is not a regular at White House briefings, but joined network-mate Ed Henry Thursday in order to question Carney about Benghazi. The nearly ten-minute exchange ended with a persistent Rosen being told “I think we’re done here, James” by Carney as he exited the briefing room.
While Rosen is correct that everything in the White House briefings is “for the record,” Carney’s also correct, in that if the point was simply to get Carney on the record, Ed Henry could as easily have asked the same questions. It’s also true, though, that most TV reporters’ questions are at least partially for the purpose of creating clips for use in news programming, which is why you’ll often hear very similar questions asked five or six times at each briefing. All of these exchanges are “created” for some TV network.
However, Carney’s broader point appears to be that the issue of Congressional investigations into Benghazi has been covered by Fox News in much greater proportion than other outlets, and that Rosen’s line of questioning was tailored to that editorial sensibility, and to that audience.”
” On September 11, 2013, Charles Woods appeared on Fox News’s Hannity and read aloud four questions about Benghazi from a letter he’d sent to President Obama.
Woods, whose son, ex-SEAL Tyrone Woods, was one of four Americans killed in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, added: “What we want are not just answers. We also want the truth.”
President Obama has now written in reply to Woods’ letter. This marks the president’s first response to direct questions about Benghazi since May of this year when he answered one question at a press conference. That particular question concerned aftermath “talking points,” not the attack itself.
Woods’ final question for the president was father to father:
If the president’s child had been in Benghazi, would the rescue attempt have been more aggressive?
On September 27, Obama answered Woods with a five-paragraph letter. Four of the paragraphs are devoted to presidential boilerplate: “prayers,” “challenges,” “courage,” “security,” “justice,” “commitment,” and “service.”
One paragraph pertains to Woods’ questions about Benghazi.
On that tragic day, I directed my national security team to do everything possible to respond to the attacks against our people and facilities in Benghazi. The United States Government considered a range of options and deployed additional military capabilities, but as our military leaders have said, the military forces needed to carry out the type of operation you describe were not close enough to have made a difference. Please know that my actions would have been the same if the attack had been against my own family. The sad truth is that attacks happened so rapidly that U.S. forces could not arrive in time to prevent the loss of our brave Americans.”
” The leaders of the State Department’s Benghazi probe defended their inquiry into the 2012 attack, but they acknowledged to Congress on Thursday that their mission was limited in scope and faced questions over why they gave Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton an advance look at their findings.
Retired Adm. Mike Mullen, vice chairman of the accountability review board, also acknowledged that he had warned Mrs. Clinton’s chief of staff not to send a particular official to Congress because he thought “she would be a weak witness” who might have hurt the State Department’s stance.”
” A CIA employee who refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement barring him from discussing the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, has been suspended as a result and forced to hire legal counsel, according to a top House lawmaker.”
Spitting On Their Graves: Democrats Leave Benghazi Hearing Before Testimony From Families of Victims
” During the second portion of a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing about Benghazi Thursday on Capitol Hill, the majority of Democrats on the Committee left the room and refused to listen to the testimony of Patricia Smith and Charles Woods. Ms. Smith is the mother of Sean Smith, an information management officer killed in the 9/11 Benghazi attack. Charles Woods is the father of Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, who was also killed.”
Independent Review Board To Testify On Benghazi Attack This Week Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC)

Independent Review Board To Testify On Benghazi Attack This Week Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC)”
” A new report from Oversight accuses the State Department of willfully obstructing the Congressional investigation into the attack and the actions of the Obama administration before, during, and after the sacking of the consulate. As The Hill notes, the report also accuses the Accountability Review Board of obstruction and participating in a softball attempt to sweep the scandal under the proverbial rug:
The State Department willfully obstructed a congressional investigation of the deadly attack on a U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi last year, according to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
State Department officials routinely refused requests for documents on its investigation into the September, 2012, attack, including interview transcripts and summaries of eyewitnesses to the attack, according to a committee report obtained by The Hill.
In a sadly-related note, TPM reports that State didn’t even bother to mark the anniversary with an official commemoration of the four Americans who died in the line of duty. Instead, Foggy Bottom employees had to organize a memorial on their own:
Staffers at State Department headquarters in Washington, D.C. held their own private ceremony Wednesday to commemorate the first anniversary of the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya after finding out the agency would not be organizing a formal, official memorial service.
The Sept. 11, 2012 Benghazi attack left four people dead, including the American Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and Sean Smith, an information management officer in the department’s foreign service.”
Suspect In Killing Of Two Leftist Tunisian Politicians Was Arrested Then Released In United States Embassy Attack
” When Tunisian authorities released the only suspect arrested in connection to the deadly attack on the United States Embassy in Benghazi in 2012, it provoked a muted response from Washington.
Now Ali Harzi is wanted in connection to the assassinations of two Tunisian opposition politicians,Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahimi, and he remains at large.
Harzi is not the only high-profile suspect linked to allegations of violence who has managed to slip through the fingers of the Tunisian authorities, leading to questions both inside and outside the country about the government’s handling of growing insecurity.
The list of suspects charged with both killings includes people with well-established links to al-Qaeda, and to the Tunisian branch of Ansar al-Sharia, which was allegedly responsible for the Sep. 14, 2012 attack on the U.S. Embassy in Tunis.
Last year’s attacks on the U.S. embassies in Tunis, Cairo and Sana’a followed the Sep.11, 2012 killing of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi. U.S. authorities are still working to determine whether there is any link.
In his first interview with foreign media immediately after the Benghazi attack, Libyan President Mohamed al-Magarief told Al Jazeera he suspected it was a pre-planned operation by al-Qaeda.”
” Justice for Benghazi Rally…We are growing impatient.”
