Steyn Warns Of ‘Serious Secession Movements’ If Drift Toward Socialism Not Reversed [VIDEO]

Steyn_Miller

” Radio host Dennis Miller and National Review columnist Mark Steyn considered Thursday the possible outcomes if the United States continues down the path of socialism.

If socialism became the prevailing governing philosophy, Miller speculated, escaping it wouldn’t require a move to the Australian outback. Instead he suggested heading for the state of Texas, because it would be the first place to push back against it.”

Obama Quotes Alinsky In Speech To Young Israelis

” In his address in Jerusalem today, President Obama channeled Saul Alinsky, citing the radical community organizer’s defining mantra as he urged young Israelis to “create change” to nudge their leadership to act.

Obama told a crowd of college students at Jerusalem’s main convention center that Israel “has the wisdom to see the world as it is, but also the courage to see the world as it should be.”

One of Alinsky’s major themes was working with the world as it “is” to turn it into the world as “it should be.”

In his defining work, “Rules for Radicals,” which he dedicated to “the first rebel,” Lucifer, Alinsky used those words to lay out his main agenda. He asserted radical change must be brought about by working within a system instead of attacking it from the outside.

“It is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. That means working in the system,” wrote Alinsky. “

Rewriting The Bible: The Gospel According To Liberals

” When liberals and their media allies have an agenda to push, they’ll use any tool at hand. The left often rails against the presence of religion in civic life, mocking conservative Christians as “Taliban” agitating for theocracy. But other times, they find faith to be a handy weapon to bludgeon conservatives. And they’ll go so far as to reinterpret and rewrite the Bible to justify any liberal cause, no matter how outrageous.

In 2010, MSNBC anchor Melissa Harris-Perry summed up this strategy in her call for “re-imagining the Bible as a tool of progressive social change.” Huffington Post contributor Mike Lux embraced Harris-Perry’s advice, writing that the Bible embodies “all kinds” of “liberal, lefty, progressive values.”

The Media Research Center’s Culture and Media Institute analyzed the various ways liberals and the media have used and abused the Bible to mock religion, attack conservatives and justify left-wing policy.

Harris-Perry’s “re-imagining” of the Bible has become a favorite liberal tactic, as journalists and politicians have cited it to promote socialism, gay marriage, abortion and a host of other progressive policies. Washington Post “On Faith” contributor Anthony Stevens-Arroyo argued that the Bible was the inspiration for Karl Marx’s dictum “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.” Huffington Post contributor Kittredge Cherry claimed Jesus Christ was a homosexual: “Christ lives in every individual of every different shade of sexual orientation and gender identity.” Writer Nynia Chance proclaimed that the Bible supported abortion on RH Reality Check: “there’s times where the Bible states God commands that one [abortion] take place.” “

From A Different  Steve Forbes

” An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on) These are possibly the 5 best sentences you’ll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Can you think of a reason for not sharing this?
Neither could I. “

The Cloward-Piven Way

” If the Cloward and Piven agenda were being implemented, would it look any different?

In all likelihood, they would be delighted with the massive deficits and the “spillage” that is the lax implementation of government entitlements.

1966 Article by Columbia Professors Cloward and Piven was a hot topic for awhile, but has since fell from attention.  But isn’t now the time to reconsider exactly how this administration is steering people into record government program participation?

Some quotes from the 1966 article that reveal the mission.  Increase the entitlement roles, redistribute wealth, guarantee income, and reduce qualifications for participating in these programs.  Use organizing, demonstrating and a “climate of militancy”.”

Texas 6th Graders Assigned To Design Flag For New Socialist Nation

” Sixth-grade children in many Texas public schools are being tasked with designing flags for a new socialist nation as part of the state’s curriculum, EAG News reported Monday.

“Notice socialist/communist nations use symbolism on their flags representing various aspects of their economic system. Imagine a new socialist nation is creating a flag and you have been put in charge of creating a flag,” says a lesson plan being used as part of CSCOPE, the curriculum being used by over 70 percent of Texas school districts.

“Use symbolism to represent aspects ofsocialism/communism on your flag. What kind of symbolism/colors would you use?” the lesson plan asks.”

It’s built by teachers , so that makes it ok (sark off )

” It’s built by teachers, designed by teachers and that’s what’s powerful about CSCOPE,” Lebay said.

The AP added that Lebay was asked about complaints that some lesson plans promote pro-Islamic ideals, or “described participants of the Boston Tea Party as terrorists.”

“You know America is changing when leftists have even infiltrated Texas schools,” Kyle Olson wrote at EAG News.”

Mikulski’s ‘Paycheck Fairness Act’ Would Allow Employees to Discuss Salaries

Beware of anything coming out of Washington that contains the word ” Fairness ” … It will surely be anything but .

” A ‘Paycheck Fairness Act’ introduced in Congress last week would require employers to show pay disparity is related to job-performance and prohibit employer retaliation for sharing salary information with coworkers.

Senator Barbara A. Mikulski and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, both Democrats, said their legislation is aimed at closing the pay gap between men and women and would also address loopholes in the 1963 Equal Pay Act.”

Since when does the government have the right to entwine themselves into the compensation negotiations between employers and their employees ? Sounds like something cooked up by Oren Boyle and Wesley Mouch .

It’s just another way for unions to get their foot in the door and for trial lawyers to fill their coffers.

Obama Inaugural Disguises Collectivism As Liberty

” According to this president, “being true to our founding documents … does not mean we all define liberty in exactly the same way.” Liberty, we are to believe, is an eye-of-the-beholder proposition.

This is what we are to have in mind as we swallow the “ask not what your country” line of Obama’s address: “preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action.”

In other words, there is no real liberty without big government. Or perhaps we should turn to Orwell’s 1984 to break the code: “Freedom Is Slavery.”

Obama says he’s all for entrepreneurs, Grandma and her apple pie, but “a free market only thrives when there are rules to ensure competition and fair play.”

The Left’s Alinsky Tactics In The Gun Debate

” In a blog for today’s American Thinker, Joseph Smith says that National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre is getting the “Alinsky Treatment” from leftists in the media and elsewhere.  He’s correct because as he said, they are attempting to freeze him as a/the target, personalize the gun issue, and demonize him for defending our right to bear arms–a right that’s guaranteed by our Constitution.

Make no mistake: the Second Amendment to the Constitution is the real target of leftist fanatics in this country–not LaPierre and Pratt.  They are merely the faces of the issue, and that’s why they are under attack.

Gun control advocates (i.e., private gun ownership abolitionists) in politics and the media will use every tragedy they can in their never-ending quest to do away with our right to bear arms.  They won’t let up, and they will use every dirty trick in the book to try and sway public opinion.  To date, they have been unsuccessful as Kurt Schlichter explains in hisop-ed piece titled “Liberals Panic As They Lose the Gun Narrative”:

When you argue for a living, you can tell how an argument is going for you. The evidence and my gut both tell me that the liberals have lost control of the gun control narrative.

Not for lack of trying – it was almost as if they were poised to leap into action across the political, media and cultural spectrum the second the next semi-human creep shot up another “gun free zone.” This was their big opening to shift the debate and now it’s closing. They’ve lost, and they are going nuts.

Winston Churchill said, “Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, give up. Never give up. Never give up. Never give up.”    ”

Is Obama Taking America ‘Forward’ Into The Failed Past?

” More is involved than this year’s political battles. The word “forward” has been a political battle cry on the left for more than a century. It has been almost as widely used as the left’s other favorite word, “equality,” which goes back more than two centuries.

The seductive notion of economic equality has appealed to many people. The pilgrims started out with the idea of equal sharing. The colony of Georgia began with very similar ideas. In the Midwest, Britain’s Robert Owen — who coined the term “socialism” — set up colonies based on communal living and economic equality.

What these idealistic experiments all had in common was that they failed. “

Where There Is Work There Is Plenty

” “The experience that we had in this common course and condition,’” Bradford wrote. “‘The experience that we had in this common course and condition tried sundry years…that by taking away property, and bringing community into a common wealth, would make them happy and flourishing — as if they were wiser than God,’ Bradford wrote.” This was his way of saying, it didn’t work, we thought we were smarter than everybody, everybody was gonna share equally, nobody was gonna have anything more than anything else, it was gonna be hunky-dory, kumbaya. Except it doesn’t work. Because of half of them didn’t work, maybe more. They depended on the others to do all the work. There was no incentive.

“‘For this community [so far as it was] was found to breed much confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort. For young men that were most able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children without any recompense,’” without being paid for it, “‘that was thought injustice.’” They figured it out real quick. Half the community is not working — living off the other half, that is. Resentment built. Why should you work for other people when you can’t work for yourself? that’s what he was saying. So the Pilgrims found that people could not be expected to do their best work without incentive. So what did Bradford’s community try next? They unharnessed the power of good old free enterprise by invoking the under-girding capitalistic principle of private property.

“Every family was assigned its own plot of land to work and permitted to market its own crops and products. And what was the result? ‘This had very good success,’ wrote Bradford, ‘for it made all hands industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been.’ … Is it possible that supply-side economics could have existed before the 1980s? Yes,” it did. “Now, this is where it gets really good, folks, if you’re laboring under the misconception that I was, as I was taught in school. So they set up trading posts and exchanged goods with the Indians.” This is what happened. After everybody had their own plot of land and were allowed to market it and develop it as they saw fit and got to keep what they produced, bounty, plenty resulted. “

Ludwig von Mises :

” In using the term freedom as applied to human beings, we think only of freedom within society. Yet, today, social freedoms are considered by many people to be independent of one another. Those who call themselves “liberals” today are asking for policies which are precisely the opposite of those policies which the liberals of the 19th century advocated in their liberal programs. The so-called liberals of today have the very popular idea that freedom of speech, of thought of the press, freedom of religion, freedom from imprisonment without trial — that all these freedoms can be preserved in the absence of what is called economic freedom. They do not realize that, in a system where there is no market, where the government directs everything, all those other freedoms are illusory, even if they are made into laws and written up in constitutions.

Let us take one freedom, the freedom of the press. If the government owns all the printing presses, it will determine what is to be printed and what is not to be printed. And if the government owns all the printing presses and determines what shall or shall not be printed, then the possibility of printing any kind of opposing arguments against the ideas of the government becomes practically nonexistent. Freedom of the press disappears. And it is the same with all the other freedoms. “

Take It From Someone Who Knows

The ” People’s ” Housing

” Twenty-four years ago, I was a political refugee exiled from communist Romania to freedom in America.  But today, America is in need of freedom.  Socialism is spreading in America like a horrible sickness.  It is time for those of us who experienced socialism to speak up.

Socialism is a false ideology and is contrary to the American capitalism system.  American capitalism promotes free-market and individual freedom, while the Socialist system replaces the free market with government control and eradicates private property, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, religious rights, and national self-determination.

Romania was once a rich capitalist country, with a free-market economy, good health care, and a great school system.  Bucharest, the capital, was called “Little Paris.”  But soon after Nicolae Ceausescu was elected president in 1965, everything changed.

Socialism is against wealth.  It confiscates and distributes its citizens’ wealth, destroying productivity and individual self-worth.  In the name of promoting “fair share,” “justice,” and “equality,” socialism turns most of its people equally into poor people, while the elite leaders enjoy a lavish lifestyle. “

Socialism … The Great Equalizer

MyGovCost

“In France, Socialists don’t mess around. Today, the government is unveiling a budget about which its finance minister proudly says, ”This is a serious budget, it’s a leftist budget and it’s fighting budget.”

Well it sure is leftist. Anyone who makes more than 1 million Euros a year will be smacked with a 75 percent tax rate. That, the Socialists have admitted, is pure symbolism. They know it won’t bring in much money. More onerous is the 45 percent rate being levied on anyone who makes more than 150,000 Euros. (That’s about $193,000 US.)”

Good Luck With That

The Telegraph confirms what was a very predictable outcome to France’s election of Hollande .

” Looming tax hikes by France’s new socialist government have triggered an exodus of the Gallic super-rich to ‘wealth-friendly’ nations like Britain and Switzerland.”

What happened to , ” first do no harm ” ? Here come the ” Death Panels “ . Can’t say we weren’t warned .

” The case ended up in court. Justifying their desired imposition on the family, the doctors testified in a written affidavit: “It is as certain as anything ever is in medicine that he will never recover any degree of consciousness,” Wrong.
Hassan later woke up and became reactive to the point that he can now give a “thumbs up”
when asked how he is doing. “

” Not so fast. Futile Care Theory has been pushed quietly by bioethicists in this country for years. Indeed, many, if not most, hospitals have
promulgated some form of internal futile care protocol.
Not only that, but many states — most notably Texas — legally grant hospitals the statutory right to refuse wanted life-sustaining
treatment. “

The latest incarnation of Obama’s re-election strategy is ” Forward ” a message with distinctly socialist overtones as we’ve explored earlier in the week . Now we find that Wikipedia has aspirations of making the evidence of that association disappear down the memory hole . But what I really want to know is what happened to the previous brainstorm of an idea they had for a campaign slogan ? do you remember the last stroke of genius to come from the Obama camp ? inning he uture ? ROFLMAO … Does anyone in that organization THINK before they do something ?

Barack declares May Day to be ” Loyalty Day “ . Thanks Comrade .

In order to recognize the American spirit of loyalty and the sacrifices that so many have made for our Nation, the Congress, by Public Law 85-529 as amended, has designated May 1 of each year as “Loyalty Day.” On this day, let us reaffirm our allegiance to the United States of America, our Constitution, and our founding values.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 1, 2012, as Loyalty Day. This Loyalty Day, I call upon all the people of the United States to join in support of this national observance, whether by displaying the flag of the United States or pledging allegiance to the Republic for which it stands.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-sixth.

Since I will not click a link to the Whitehouse I’m not sure if Reason is pulling my leg or not but this is a very telling sign if true .

Now lets us celebrate the wonders of the ” workers paradise ” . Behold the plentiful food ,

the fabulous living conditions ,

The many employment opportunities , in the security services of course

The world class medical care

The freedom to worship as one chooses

The freedom To speak one’s mind

The freedom to assemble

All this and more are yours if you just close your mind , take hold of the government’s er, the left’s hand and march forward . This really is the “worker’s paradise” that wasn’t , yet an astonishing number of prominent leaders , students , teachers , celebrities and ill-informed people in the western world , despite voluminous evidence to the contrary , are of the opinion that if they were given the power that they would get it right and all would be rainbows and unicorns .

It would be laughable if one didn’t ponder the 100 million plus individuals who paid the ultimate price for this glorious experiment of the ” worker’s paradise ” .

Next up the  the brutal price of ” Glorious Socialism
