U.S. Publishes Details Of Missile Base Israel Wanted Kept Secret

” Israel’s military fumed Monday over the discovery that the U.S. government had revealed details of a top-secret Israeli military installation in published bid requests.

The Obama administration had promised to build Israel a state-of-the-art facility to house a new ballistic-missile defense system, the Arrow 3. As with all Defense Department projects, detailed specifications were made public so that contractors could bid on the $25 million project. The specifications included more than 1,000 pages of details on the facility, ranging from the heating and cooling systems to the thickness of the walls.

“If an enemy of Israel wanted to launch an attack against a facility, this would give him an easy how-to guide. This type of information is closely guarded and its release can jeopardize the entire facility,” said an Israeli military official who commented on the publication of the proposal but declined to be named because he wasn’t authorized to discuss the facility. He declined to say whether plans for the facility have been altered as a result of the disclosure.

This is more than worrying, it is shocking,” he said.”

ALLEGED HEZBOLLAH MEMBER TRYING TO INFILTRATE DEFENSE DEPT ARRESTED IN US

” An alleged former Hezbollah commander who was attempting to infiltrate the US Defense Department has been arrested in San Antonio, Texas, according to the FBI. The alleged Hezbollah commander’s name is Wissam Allouche.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, FBI Spokesman for the San Antonio division, Special Agent Erik Vasys, confirmed that the individual was trying to obtain a sensitive government position.

An online search of the name “Wissam Allouche” reveals the suspect was possibly already working as a linguist for the US ARMY. The ARMY CID’s involvement reinforces this likelihood.”

” The Defense Department said in early February that it would not deploy the U.S.S. Harry Truman to the Persian Gulf, citing budget concerns relating to the looming cuts known as the sequester.

“Under the Constitution, the President is commander-in-chief and employs the force. And so we now have the President going out because of this piece of paper and this agreement. ‘I can’t do what I need to do to protect the country,'” Woodward said.

“That’s a kind of madness that I haven’t seen in a long time,” he said.

Woodward’s harsh criticism came after he stirred controversy last weekend by calling out Obama for what he said was “moving the goal posts” on the sequester by requesting that revenue be part of a deal to avert it.”

Pentagon Informs Congress Of Plans To Furlough 800K Civilians

” The Pentagon notified Congress on Wednesday it will be furloughing its civilian workforce of 800,000 employees if sequestration goes into effect March 1.

Defense officials have warned lawmakers that sequestration will devastate the military and lead to a hollow force, but the civilian furloughs will be one of the first major impacts felt by the across-the-board cuts.

The Pentagon furloughs will affect civilians across the country. Pentagon officials have said that civilians could face up to 22 days of furloughs, one per week, through the end of the fiscal year in September. The employees would receive 30 days’ notice before being furloughed.”

Of course the first question that leaps to mind is , If the pentagon can cut it’s man-hours by twenty percent and stay in business why are we employing the better part of a million people in the first place ? Is the Pentagon in the “make work” business too , just like every other public entity that we know of ?

Well , duh , we’ve answered our own question . It is a government agency isn’t it ? why should it be any different ? But it’s all to the good we should say . Cut the civilian part of Defense … It is the soldiers we care about , not the Georgetown and Virginia suburban desk jockeys.

This has the stench of Chicago all over it . Panetta and Obama’s toadies in the upper echelon of the Joint Chiefs are behind this cheap attempt at manipulating public opinion .

Fact Check: Did Obama End Hot Breakfasts For Troops In Afghanistan?

” 17 bases in Afghanistan have suspended serving troops breakfast; more bases will stop on Feb. 1

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Bruce Braley (IA-01) today wrote Army Secretary John McHugh to express “growing concern” regarding Army actions that have ended service of breakfast to American troops serving at 17 US military outposts in Afghanistan.

Braley has also been informed by the Army that this policy will be expanded to more locations in Afghanistan beginning on February 1st.

“I am troubled that the Army would deny any deployed troops three meals per day, regardless of force size,” Braley wrote.  “These men and women put their lives on the line every day to protect the very freedoms we cherish. The exhaustive mental and physical labor that is required by soldiers to fight in harsh and unforgiving conditions is tremendous. We shouldn’t deny our troops something as fundamental as a proper meal.

“I am positive that with the logistical mastery the Army has exhibited in combat operations around the world, you can logistically administer the procedure of serving breakfast every day.”

The issue was brought to Braley’s attention by concerned family members of Iowa soldiers serving in Afghanistan.”

Update :

” Per the online myth-checker, Snopes.com, this military rumor was rated as partially true.

Department of Defense officials released this:

Instead of a hot, prepared breakfast, service members at those bases receive packaged meals known as “meals, ready-to-eat,” or MREs. This streamlines the logistics for these closing bases.”

Disclosures of Zero Dark Thirty Leaks Spur Criminal Referral

” Judicial Watch announced today that it has filed a reply brief with the United States District Court for the District of Columbia seeking access to the names of the five Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) bin Laden raid operatives disclosed by the Obama Department of Defense (DOD) and the CIA to Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal, the filmmakers behind the critically acclaimed and controversial film Zero Dark Thirty, which concerns the capture and killing of 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden. Judicial Watch’s brief was filed as news reports emerged indicating that the Inspector General made a criminal referral to the Obama Justice Department in September 2012 regarding Undersecretary Michael Vickers, who was alleged to have improperly leaked the name of at least one operative to the filmmakers.

Documents previously uncovered by Judicial Watch reveal that the Obama administration sought to have “high visibility” into bin Laden-related projects, and granted Boal and Bigelow unusual access to agency information in preparation for their film. However, Obama administration officials also disclosed in sworn court documents related to this lawsuit that the sensitive information released to Bigelow and Boal could cause an “unnecessary security and counterintelligence risk” if released to the public. The admission seems to contradict the public statement by Obama White House spokesman Jay Carney regarding the controversy: “We do not discuss classified information,” Carney told reporters. “

DIA Sending Hundreds More Spies Overseas

” The Pentagon will send hundreds of additional spies overseas as part of an ambitious plan to assemble an espionage network that rivals the CIA in size, U.S. officials said. The project is aimed at transforming the Defense Intelligence Agency, which has been dominated for the past decade by the demands of two wars, into a spy service focused on emerging threats and more closely aligned with the CIA and elite military commando units. “

And Why Is No One Asking ?

” There’s no implication that the South Korean government has anything to do with the growing scandal that involves Kelly, Allen, Petraeus, and Paula Broadwell, Petraeus’s biographer and alleged mistress. But her work on behalf of the South Koreans may explain some of the 20,000 to 30,000 pages of e-mails between her and Allen that the Defense Department‘s Inspector General‘s office is investigating now.

Kelley does drive a Mercedes sedan with license plates that say “Honorary Consul,” and sheinvoked her honorary diplomatic status in a Nov. 11 911 call when she was complaining about trespassers on her private property.

“I’m an honorary consul general, so I have inviolability, so they should not be able to cross my property,” she told the 911 operator. “I don’t know if you want to get diplomatic protection involved as well, because that’s against the law to cross my property because, you know, it’s inviolable.”

“Ok, no problem, I’ll let the officer know,” the 911 operator responded.”
