Terrifying GoPro Video From Tanks In Syria’s War Zone

” Need a quick reminder as to why war should be avoided at all costs? Spend an hour in the driver’s seat of a Syrian Army T-72 tank column as it spews destruction through Syria’s Darayya warzone. Then watch the rebels destroying the tanks. Warning: Although you can’t see the bodies, fighters on both sides are dying. This footage may upset you.

Here’s a rundown of what’s going on here:

  • Tanks attack a fortified Rebel stronghold 00:15

Michael Behenna Spending His First Weekend Home

Michael Behenna

” A local solider is spending his first weekend at home with family in a very long time. Former Army First Lt. Michael Behenna served five years for killing an Al-Qaeda operative in Afghanistan. Tonight, he is a free man after being paroled.

The Behenna family was there waiting when Michael was released from Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Friday. News 9 was there when he returned home to Edmond.

Vicki Behenna has been fighting for her son’s release. Michael is home now after serving time for killing Ali Mansur. Behenna says he killed Mansur out of self-defense during questioning, saying Mansur reached for his gun.

The military court found Behenna guilty of unpremeditated murder in a combat zone. After serving a third of his reduced sentence, Behenna was released on parole.”

Hundreds Of Gunmen Surround Ukraine Military Base

” Hundreds of armed men in trucks and armored vehicles surrounded a Ukrainian military base Sunday in Crimea, blocking its soldiers from leaving. The outnumbered Ukrainians placed a tank at the base’s gate, leaving the two sides in a tense standoff.

In Kiev, Ukraine’s new prime minister urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to pull back his military, warning that “we are on the brink of disaster.”

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk spoke a day after Russian forces took over the strategic Black Sea peninsula of Crimea from Ukraine without firing a shot.

” There was no reason for the Russian Federation to invade Ukraine,” Yatsenyuk said after a closed session of his new parliament in Kiev.”

While the Ukraine heads for war with Russia in the driver’s seat , Obama & Clinton’s vaunted reset button has been crushed by T-90′s as they roll into the Crimea . Elsewhere in Washington our “Nero” was too busy to attend the security briefings on the crisis in the Ukraine and left that task to Susan “I’ve Never Met A Crisis I Couldn’t Worsen” Rice .

Israel And Iran Agree – Nuke Deal Is Iranian Victory

” The nuclear agreement with Iran is being touted by the Obama administration as a significant step in keeping Iran from moving towards nuclear weapons.

In reality, the agreement is confirmation of Iran’s uranium enrichment program at a relatively high level, although some of the highest level enrichment is supposed to be suspended. The fact is that in return for a weakening of sanctions that were putting great pressure on Iran, the centrifuges keep spinning, the facilities are maintained, and at best the length of time for an Iranian nuclear “breakout” has been lengthened for a short period.

Eli Lake at The Daily Beast notes the significance:

Under the interim agreement Iran will be allowed to enrich uranium at low levels. Iran’s foreign minister, Javad Zarif said the deal recognized his country’s nuclear program. This is a major victory for Iran whose leaders have insisted for nearly a decade that it has the right to enrich uranium under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Officially, the Obama administration has not recognized that any country has this right under the treaty. It has argued that Iran has to adhere to the terms of prior U.N. Security Council resolutions that prohibit Iran from enrichment.”

Once again Israel finds itself alone , thanks to an appeasement minded American president and his haughty Sec-Def . What more could we expect to come from the man who has repeatedly stabbed our greatest mideast ally in the back .  Dennis Miller said it best : ” BiBi…just think of it as one less phone call you gotta make when it’s go time.”

Exclusive: Obama’s Secret Iran Détente

” The Obama administration began softening sanctions on Iran after the election of Iran’s new president in June, months before the current round of nuclear talks in Geneva or the historic phone call between the two leaders in September.

While those negotiations now appear on the verge of a breakthrough the key condition for Iran—relief from crippling sanctions—began quietly and modestly five months ago.

A review of Treasury Department notices reveals that the U.S. government has all but stopped the financial blacklisting of entities and people that help Iran evade international sanctions since the election of its president, Hassan Rouhani, in June.

In this cat and mouse game, the Treasury Department in recent years has routinely designated new entities as violators of sanctions, forcing Iran to adjust in turn. In the six weeks prior to the Iranian elections in June, the Treasury Department issued seven notices of designations of sanctions violators that included more than 100 new people, companies, aircraft, and sea vessels.

Since June 14, however, when Rouhani was elected, the Treasury Department has only issued two designation notices that have identified six people and four companies as violating the Iran sanctions.

When an entity is designated as a sanctions violator it can be catastrophic. Banks and other investors almost never take the risk of doing business with the people and companies on a Treasury blacklist because of the potential reputational harm and the prospect they could lose access to U.S. financial markets.”

Against the wishes of Israel , our allies and even a rare bipartisan Congress Obama has eased Iran’s way back into the world markets . These are the acts of a dictator/king , not a duly elected president .

” “For five months, since Rouhani’s election, the United States has offered Iran two major forms of sanctions relief,” Dubowitz said. “First there’s been a significant slowdown in the pace of designations while the Iranians are proliferating the number of front companies and cutouts to bust sanctions.”

The second kind of relief Dubowitz said the White House had offered Iran was through its opposition to new Iran sanctions legislation supported by both parties in Congress.”

Another huge stab in the back to the one democratic government in the mideast , one that just makes war with Iran that much more likely . The march of Obama’s “smart diplomacy” continues to leave disbelieving allies in it’s wake . It will take decades for future administrations to repair the damage done to our standing amongst our allies and the world and we are supposed to believe that Bush was the idiot ?

A comparison to Judas would seem appropriate but only a Christian would be offended by that and , all professions of faith aside , it is extremely difficult to see him as a Christian given his support for the FSA/Al Qaeda as they massacre followers of Christ in Syria , his silence on the continuous slaughter of Christians throughout Egypt , Africa and southeast Asia and his rush to free Iran from the bonds of sanctions even as they rush headlong towards their stated goal of driving Israel into the sea .

Nuclear Iran A Month Away, With Obama, Bush To Blame

” A top independent nuclear expert now believes the regime in Tehran could have enough fuel to build an atomic weapon in about a month. Both the Obama and Bush administrations saw this day coming.

Renowned physicist David Albright is hardly a neocon hawk. A decade ago, in the run-up to the Iraq War, he accused the George W. Bush administration of misleading journalists with questionable evidence of Iraqi uranium enrichment for the sake of “a short-term political goal: to convince people that Saddam Hussein is close to acquiring nuclear weapons.”

“Today, Iran could break out most quickly using a three-step process” and could produce a significant quantity of weapon-grade uranium “in as little as approximately 1.0—1.6 months,” it said.

The video we chose to accompany the story is a month old and so is a little behind , yet offers a clear picture of a fanatical regime that is VERY close to realizing it’s abhorrent ambitions . The editorial takes into account many new developments of the past few weeks that point to a greatly accelerated rate of progress on the Iranian’s uranium enrichment program.

The closing paragraph offers little hope that our present leadership has anything new to offer in the way handling this simmering crisis as Obama continues to labor under the typical progressive assumption that he is negotiating with men of good faith .

” This disaster need not have happened. Obama could have taken the side of the Iranian people in the summer of 2009 when the regime bloodily quashed demonstrations against its fanatical Islamist rule. But he was wedded to the notion that he could talk Iran’s mullahs into sanity, if only he could meet face to face with them.”

John Kerry Under Fire For ‘unbelievably small’ Comment

” As President Barack Obama kicks off an all-out push for a strike on Syria, Secretary of State John Kerry came under fire on Monday for saying any attack would be “unbelievably small” and suggesting the Syrian ruler still had a week to give up his chemical weapons to avoid a U.S. assault – a remark Kerry’s spokeswoman later attempted to clarify.

The off-key comments came in a joint press conference in London with Britain’s foreign secretary, where Kerry said the strike would be able to harm Assad without putting American troops on the ground and with a “very limited, very targeted, short-term effort.”

“That is exactly what we are talking about doing, unbelievably small, limited kind of effort,” Kerry said.

The comments, which dismayed even supporters of an attack on Syria, added fuel to the debate as Obama launches a full court press 48-hour media and political blitz to try to sell the plan to a skeptical American public and Congress.

On Monday, Obama will sit down with anchors from six networks, PBS, CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS and NBC, for seven- to 10-minute interviews that will air Monday night. On Tuesday, the president will address the nation in a televised address in prime time.

Forget Lurch , his cavernous mouth and his fly speck of a brain , the real story is highlighted in red in the paragraph above . Six “privately owned” corporations are taking it upon themselves to provide the government (Obama) with millions of dollars worth of free airtime . This is nothing more than Statist propaganda subsidized by the very same people who are supposed to be the ” Gate Keepers ” … Boot Lickers is more like it …

Russia has a freer press now-a-days . Sadly , the case could be made that while the “Pravda” and “Izvestia” of old were State-run mouthpieces for the leadership in the USSR , the press in the US voluntarily toes the Statist line . No coercion necessary .

US ‘considering military force in Syria’

” Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said he has provided President Barack Obama with options for military strikes in Syria, where the civil war has cost at least 93,000 lives

Gen Dempsey said that Mr Obama had asked him whether the US “could”, but not whether it “should”, stage a military intervention. The “issue is under deliberation inside of our agencies of government,” the general said.

But in a testy exchange with John McCain, the Republican Senator who is a leading advocate for US intervention, he refused to go into further details or give his opinion.”

No More Sunshine Patriots

” In the prologue to his book, “The Savior Generals,” Victor Davis Hanson asks the question, “What wins wars?” Is it superior manpower, resources, strategic planning, or cutting-edge technology? Hanson explains that these certainly play a role, but they’re not always enough. Sometimes it’s the human element that makes the difference. On rare occasions, “generals and the leadership of single individuals can still matter more than these seemingly larger inanimate forces.”

Hanson is talking about military conflict, but this observation can be applied to politics as well, to the culture war we’re fighting. Americans are, in some ways, like the Athenians who fled their city, a once-thriving democracy, as the Persian King Xerxes torched it, killing or enslaving all who stood in his way. We’re not facing physical threats and our cities are not literally burning, but our way of life is just as threatened, our vibrant Republic is on the brink of annihilation.

There certainly is a sense of desperation among conservatives and libertarians—not despair, but a heightened awareness that something drastic must happen now or we will never be able to regain what we’ve lost. We are facing an American crisis.

“These are,” as Thomas Paine wrote, “the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”

To overcome this crisis, to win, we must recognize that we’re in a war. A war against tyranny. A war against progressive philosophies that seek to undermine and destroy the foundations of our freedoms. A war against those who disregard our Constitution and rule by fiat, who treat our homeland like a whore to be ravaged at will, and who violate our privacy in the name of safety.

If we’re going to triumph, we need good strategies and wise tactics, but we also need a leader, a savior. Not a messiah in the soteriological sense, but a “savior general,” a leader who is willing to face insurmountable odds as Henry V did and recognize that when it comes to war, passivity, civility, and compromise have no place.”

Revolutionary Times

Revolutionary times are turbulent. They are agitated by the common feeling that the balance has been lost and a tipping point has arrived. Even as we feel the sickening lurches of a nation that appears to be slipping toward the cliff, we should not despair. A revolutionary society moves easily because it is unmoored and can be turned around in the right direction. And when that happens, history changes.

The birth of the United States was not inevitable. It happened against incredible odds and a torrent of difficulties. Now it is caught between decline and rebirth. Which of these it will be, we will learn when enough men and women push one way or another until the next tipping point is reached.

Living in revolutionary times, we cannot idly celebrate a revolution of the past without also committing ourselves to changing the present. Independence is not a gift that was won once and never needs to be thought about again.

President Obama Coldly Reads From Script: Chapter Closes On Boston ‘Tragedy’

” What the president didn’t say speaks volumes. Delivering his lines coldly from a script, Obama made the following self-contradictory statement:

Obviously, tonight there are still many unanswered questions.  Among them, why did young men who grew up and studied here, as part of our communities and our country, resort to such violence?  How did they plan and carry out these attacks, and did they receive any help?  The families of those killed so senselessly deserve answers.

This dastardly act was not ‘senseless’ — it appears to be motivated by the anti-American agenda of apparently sane, well-to-do jihadists from Chechnya. It is a vicious attack, yes. It is a tragedy, fine. But more importantly, it is another jihad-inspired terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

This narrative is inconvenient for the administration and runs directly counter to left-wing explanations for terrorism. Third world terrorists are supposed to be motivated by ‘relative deprivation’ or ‘class disparity.’ Obviously, that’s not the case for these upper class bombing suspects.

Foreign terrorists who strike the nation are supposed to be upset about America attacking their countries and wronging their peoples. Again, these men of Chechen ancestry would more logically attack Russia, rather than the U.S. — which never invaded Chechnya.

Like we saw with the Benghazi terrorist siege, the president is restrained when calling actual terrorism — “terrorism”; meanwhile, ‘terrorism’ language is reflexively invoked to describe those Republicans who want a balanced budget and tea party activists who want to limit our national debt. Tea party ‘terrorists,’ and ‘hostage’-takers are epithets sputtered out by Democrats without thinking or blinking.”

Missile Spotted In ‘Launch Position’, United States And South Korean Armed Forces Placed At ‘Vital Alert’ Watchcon 2

” NORTH Korea state TV is reporting the country is ready to fire a nuclear missile, Sky News reported.

Pyongyang has kept the world on edge over an expected missile launch while turning its own energies to celebrating leaders past and present amid soaring tensions on the Korean peninsula.

The United States warned North Korea it was skating a “dangerous line”, as South Korea remained on heightened alert for any missile test that could start a whole new cycle of tensions in a region already on a hair-trigger.

G8 foreign ministers meeting in London drove home the message, condemning “in the strongest possible terms” the North’s nuclear activities and threats to the region.”

China Conducts Live-Fire Military Drills Near North Korean Border

” China’s military and defense ministry on Sunday confirmed that military forces in a border region near North Korea conducted live-fire drills amid tensions between North Korea and the United States.

The Pentagon, meanwhile, canceled a planned test launch of a Minuteman III ballistic missile to avoid further upsetting ties with North Korea.

Intelligence sources said signs continue to indicate that North Korea is planning to conduct a flight test soon of its intermediate-range Musudan missile that has enough range to reach Guam.

Two Musudan missiles have been readied and the flight test may take place around April 15, the anniversary of the birth of the late leader Kim Il Sung, grandfather of current leader Kim Jong Un.

Additionally, North Korea may conduct another underground nuclear test in the coming days, the sources said, based on intelligence indicators of increased activity at North Korea’s northern nuclear testing facility.”

Obama Inc. Bows To North Korean Threats, Claims It Isn’t Bowing To North Korean Threats

” Obama Inc. is absolutely not backing down by cancelling a missile launch. That would be crazy. They’re just scrapping the missile launch to ease tensions which is nothing at all like backing down.

The decision to delay critical U.S missile tests is not a sign that the White House is bowing to North Korea’s “bellicose rhetoric,” a top administration official said Sunday.

During an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer said the decision was “absolutely not” a retreat after Pyongyang’s recent aggressive actions against the U.S. and its allies in the Western Pacific.”

Iran Lines Up Behind North Korea, Warns The US Of “Great Losses”

” Tehran’s intercession in the Korean crisis on the side of its ally in Pyongyang was predictable, even though the US preferrs to ignore the close interrelations between the two allies.

And so, on Friday, April 5, Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Brig. Gen. Masoud Jazayeri stepped forward to point the finger at Washington:
[“The presence of the Americans in [South] Korea has been the root cause of tensions in this sensitive region in the past and present. The US and its allies will suffer great losses if a war breaks out in this region,” he said, adding for good measure: “Independent countries will not submit to the US mischief. The time for Washington’s bullying and extortion is long past.”

The inevitable convergence of the Korean and Iranian crises confronts America’s three top officials, President Barack Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, with their most challenging international test.

Kerry would be well advised to take a break from his Sisyphean efforts to crack the latest of umpteen Israel-Palestinian disputes, call off his weekend appointments with Israeli and Palestinians leaders and instead fly to Moscow and Beijing.
There, he could start bargaining with Russian and Chinese rulers for preliminary understandings with Washington on Iran and Syria that would make it worth their while to use their leverage for bringing the out-of-control North Korean firebrand to heel.

So long as the Obama administration sticks to its current separate policies on Syria and Iran, Iran and Korea, Moscow and Beijing won’t lift a finger to apply the brakes to Kim Jong-Un before he drives the world to catastrophe. “

North Korea Warns Foreign Embassies To Evacuate By April 10th. War Coming, Or Is It Another Bluff?

” Is Kim Jung-un, the 30-year old despotic leader of North Korea, about to launch a nuclear war against the United States and South Korea? Experts keep saying “probably not,” that he is just trying to show the world he is tough, but what if they are wrong? What if the leaders in Pyongyang blunder into a war? Or what if they really believe they can wage such a war and somehow “win”?

The rhetoric is red hot. But the military moves are aggressive and preparatory for war. And now foreign embassies in Pyongyang are being encouraged by Un’s government to evacuate by April 10th. Could that suggest war is coming in five days? Or is it merely yet another in a history of high-profile bluffs?”

The Road to World War 3

” We are on a road that leads straight to the World War 3, but in order to see that and to fully understand what is at stake you have to look at the big picture and connect the dots. This video examines the history of the dollar, its relation to oil, and the real motives behind the wars of the past two decades.”

WAR DRUMS: US MOVES GUIDED-MISSILE DESTROYER ON NORTH KOREA

” The U.S. Navy is shifting a guided-missile destroyer in the Pacific to waters off the Korean peninsula in the wake of ongoing rhetoric from North Korea, U.S. defense officials said. The USS Fitzgerald is capable of intercepting and destroying a missile, should North Korea decide to fire one off, the officials said. Still, U.S. defense officials insist that there is nothing to indicate that North Korea is on the verge of another launch.  The White House on Monday said the United States hasn’t seen large-scale movements from North Korean military forces in the aftermath of harsh rhetoric from the reclusive government. ”I would note that despite the harsh rhetoric we are hearing from Pyongyang, we are not seeing changes to the North Korean military posture, such as large-scale mobilizations and positioning of forces,”
