Woodward’s Not Alone – Fmr. Clinton Aide Davis Says He Received White House Threat

” A day after Woodward’s claim that a senior White House official had told him he would “regret” writing a column criticizing President Obama’s stance on the sequester, Lanny Davis, a longtime close advisor to President Bill Clinton, told WMAL’s Mornings on the Mall Thursday he had received similar threats for newspaper columns he had written about Obama in the Washington Times.

Davis told WMAL that his editor, John Solomon, “received a phone call from a senior Obama White House official who didn’t like some of my columns, even though I’m a supporter of Obama. I couldn’t imagine why this call was made.”  Davis says the Obama aide told Solomon, “that if he continued to run my columns, he would lose, or his reporters would lose their White House credentials.”

NBC’s David Gregory Remains Free while Iraq Vet was Jailed for Breaking the same Gun Law (VIDEO)

Protects our rights and gets jailed

” Intrepid reporter Emily Miller of the Washington Times wrote an interesting article on Tuesday concerning the two systems of justice that exist in our Nation’s Capital.  That is, the justice system that applies to political elites and the justice system that applies to ordinary citizens.

To highlight the inequity in the DC legal system, Miller pointed to two different cases, one involving an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran Adam Meckler and another involving NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ host David Gregory.

Both men violated a subsection of this onerous gun law, DC Criminal Code 7-2506.01:

Unlawful Possession of Ammunition (UA): It is illegal to possess ammunition in the District of Columbia unless the person is:  (1) a licensed dealer, (2) a federal or city law enforcement officer acting within scope of duties, or (3) holder of a valid registration certificate of same gauge and caliber as ammunition in possession.  It is also illegal to possess, sell or transfer any ‘large-capacity ammunition feeding device.’

A person guilty of this charge can be sentenced to a maximum fine of $1000 and/or up to a year imprisonment.

In 2011, Army Specialist Adam Meckler, who spent 15 months in Iraq and 15-month in Afghanistan during his 9 year military career, was thrown in jail for being in possession of ‘unregistered ammunition.’ “

Collaborates with the State to steal our rights and remains free

Monday will bring a full page ad in the Washington Times :

” Nearly 500 former military admirals and generals are poised to endorse Mitt Romney, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

The group will post a full page ad in the Washington Times on Monday. The advertisement will have the headline, “We, the undersigned, proudly support Governor Mitt Romney as our nation’s next President and Commander-in-Chief,” followed by the names of the former military commanders.”

… We need full disclosure on Benghazi — now

image

“Someone high up in the administration,” Lyons writes, “let
our people get killed” — and he wants some answers immediately as to whom:

“The Obama national security team,
including CIA, DNI, State Department and the Pentagon , watched and listened to the assault but did nothing to answer repeated calls for assistance. It has been reported that President Obama met with Vice President Joseph R. Biden and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta in the Oval Office, presumably to see what support could be provided. After all, we had very credible military resources within striking distance. At our military base in Sigonella, Sicily,
which is slightly over 400 miles from Benghazi, we had a fully equipped Special Forces unit with both transport and jet strike aircraft prepositioned. Certainly this was a force much more capable than the 22-man force from
our embassy in Tripoli.

I know those Special Forces personnel were ready to leap at the opportunity. There is no doubt in my mind they would have wiped out the terrorists attackers. Also I have no doubt that Admiral William McRaven, Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command,
would have had his local commander at Sigonella ready to launch; however, apparently he was countermanded—by whom? We need to know.

  I also understand we had a C-130
gunship available, which would have quickly disposed of the terrorist attackers. This attack went on for seven hours. Our fighter jets could have been at our Benghazi mission within an hour. Our Special Forces out of Sigonella could have been there within a few hours. There is not any doubt that action on our part could have saved the lives of our two former Navy SEALs and possibly the ambassador.

Having been in a number of similar situations, I know you have to have the courage to do what’s right and take immediate action. Obviously, that courage was lacking for Benghazi. The safety of your personnel always remains paramount. With all the technology and military capability we had in theater, for our leadership to have deliberately ignored the pleas for
assistance is not only incomprehensible, it is unAmerican.”

“Researchers from the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center have developed malicious software that can remotely seize control of the camera on an infected smartphone and employ it to spy on the phone’s user.

The malware, dubbed “PlaceRaider,” “allows remote hackers to reconstruct rich, three-dimensional models of the smartphone owner’s personal indoor spaces through completely opportunistic use of the camera,” the researchers said in a study published last week.”

Some Common Sense From DC ?

“A bill that would decriminalize gun and ammunition possession charges for some legal firearms owners from outside the city caught traveling through the District with their weapons goes before a D.C. Council committee Monday, a potential change to the law that comes too late for one Capitol Heights man.

The bill would allow the attorney general’s office to offer an “administrative disposition” rather than criminally prosecute cases in which residents outside the District are found in the city with unregistered guns or ammunition.”

“Romney blasts Obama’s foreign
policy”

” Mitt Romney, the GOP presidential nominee, challenged
President Obama’s foreign policy chops on Thursday, telling supporters that the Democrat has sent mixed message to the world and said the United States “must
protect the embassies of our nation.”

The former Massachusetts also accused Mr. Obama of passing on the chance to meet next with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss Iran’s disputed nuclear program. “

“Tech challenge: Obama has trouble with iPhone”

“The president had stopped at a campaign office in Port St. Lucie, Fla., to thank volunteers. Then, for the cameras, Mr. Obama was supposed to call two campaign workers who were out working on his behalf.

But when White House trip director Marvin Nicholson handed the president his personal iPhone, Mr. Obama couldn’t get it to work. A reporter who witnessed the scene said the president looked “befuddled.”

“It’s not clear he knows how to dial on an iPhone,” the reporter wrote in a pool report.”

“MILLER: Hide your guns”

“Democrats vow to pursue more gun-control laws”

“You didn’t hear the word “guns” voluntarily pass the lips of any Democratic speaker at this week’s convention in Charlotte, N.C. Liberals may be smart enough to avoid alienating the almost half of all Americans who have guns in their homes, but the same can’t be said for their party platform.

The Democratic policy statement approved this week calls for enacting “common-sense improvements — like reinstating the assault-weapons ban and closing the gun-show loophole.” The so-called “assault-weapons ban” in the 1990s banned scary-looking guns and magazines that held over 10 rounds. The platform does toss in a line that claims to recognize the right to bear arms, but it is “subject to reasonable regulation.” The left wants “an honest, open national conversation about firearms.”

I asked many Democratic leaders about the party’s position on firearms at the convention, but almost all claimed not to have read that section of the platform. Jesse Jackson was one of the few willing to come out and say he wants to ban all guns except bolt-action rifles, shotguns and revolvers.”

Mount Obama ? WTF?

‘A torrential downpour that struck Charlotte Saturday afternoon damaged the Mount Rushmore-style sand sculpture bust of President Obama — an ominous beginning to what many fear is a plagued convention.’

” Immigration agents sue to stop
Obama’s non-deportation policy”

“Saying they’re fed up with being told they can’t do their jobs, 10 immigration agents on Thursday sued the Obama administration to try to halt the president’s new non-deportation policy and an earlier memo instructing them not to go after rank-and-file illegal immigrants.

The lawsuit, filed in a federal court in Texas, adds a legal controversy to the political fight that has been brewing over President Obama’s immigration policies, which have steadily narrowed the range of immigrants the government is targeting for deportation.

The 10 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and deportation officers said Mr. Obama’s policies force them to choose between enforcing the law
and being reprimanded by superiors, or listening to superiors and violating their own oaths of office and a 1996 law that requires them to put those who entered
the country illegally into deportation proceedings.”

This piece in the Washington Times brings to the mainstream a hypothetical scenario of the military crushing domestic dissent .

Regular readers will recognize this theoretical from previous posts at InfoWars and other websites but to our knowledge this is the first article on the subject in the Mainstream Media

Check it out and note that the article has generated over 3000 comments .

What do our readers think ? Will American troops fire on American citizens and if so , what will the ramifications be ?

“Imagine Tea Party extremists seizing control of a South Carolina town and the Army being sent in to crush the rebellion. This farcical vision is now part of the discussion in professional military circles.”

Obama calls for measures against gun violence

More walking back the cat

Win Some , Lose Some

 Washington Times

” The Supreme Court on Monday struck down most of Arizona’s tough immigration law as an unlawful infringement on federal power, but it upheld the most important plank, which allows police to stop and question the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally.

Arizona’s governor said she’ll move quickly to begin enforcing that part of the law, even as the rest of it lies on the cutting floor.

In the complex 5-3 ruling, all eight justices said Arizona police can continue to question the legal status of those they stop, but the five-justice majority struck down the parts of the law in which Arizona sought to impose its own criminal penalties for immigration violations, with the majority saying that that power is reserved exclusively to the federal government. “

But we already knew that … at least those of us not burdened with partisan blunders .

Now we have the FBI statistics to prove the point as Emily Miller
does in this article from the Washington Times .

Be sure to read the last couple paragraphs to see further evidence of Obama’s job creation skills .

“Gun-control advocates are noticeably silent when crime rates decline. Their multimillion-dollar lobbying efforts are designed to manufacture mass anxiety that every gun owner is a potential killer.
The statistics show otherwise.

Last week, the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) announced that violent crime decreased 4 percent in 2011. The number of murders, rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults all went down, continuing a pattern. “

The leaks star…

The leaks start stop here

As reported here , here , here and here this administration leaks like a sieve and continually risks the lives of assets and national security to bolster it’s re-election efforts , while all retreat to an attitude of high dudgeon that anyone could suspect them of such chicanery . LOL

Washington Times : Obama , Leaker in Chief

“President Obama takes umbrage at the idea that a spate of leaks of highly classified national-security information is somehow purposefully intended to bolster his leadership credentials. His resistance to an independent investigation will only make things worse for him. The Obama White House is leaking like a sieve. Trying to cover it up will only make the scandal bigger.

On Friday, Mr. Obama took the charges of selective leaks head-on: “The notion that my White House would purposely release classified national-security information is offensive,” he said. “It’s wrong, and people I think need to have a better sense of how I approach this office and how the people around me here approach this office.” His protestations carry little credibility. On the previous day, the White House rejected a bipartisan call by leaders of the House and Senate intelligence committees to appoint a special counsel to investigate the leaks.”

Another common sense attempt at shoring up our basic Liberties . Spread the word and make the call .

“Americans choose to take to the roads for vacations and to visit friends and family on Memorial Day. Often, they’ll bring their firearms with them for sport or personal protection, and it’s perfectly legal under federal law. This gets under the skin of a handful of anti-gun jurisdictions that have grown so out of control that they’ll jail an active-duty Afghanistanveteran who’s following the letter of the law. A growing, bipartisan movement in Congress is looking to stop the harassment.

Rep. H. Morgan Griffith, Virginia Republican, has sponsored legislation that would amend current law to make it clear that individuals who transport their guns from state to state may stop for food, gas and vehicle maintenance. They also may seek medical treatment, tend to an emergency, stay overnight and conduct other activities incidental to the transport. ”

This is not even about a new law . It is just about stopping anti-gun jurisdictions from taking advantage of certain ambiguities . This bill aims to spell it out loud and clear .

“These things are legal already, but because the law does not spell it out in explicit detail, gun-grabbing areas take advantage of the ambiguity.Mr. Griffith’s language would force states and localities to pay the attorney bills for anyone who is arrested for illegal transport if they are exonerated based on this proposed law.”
