Poll: Big Majority Think Too Many Americans Are Dependent On Government Aid
” Rasmussen’s latest poll is interesting.
Americans continue to believe that too many of their fellow citizens are financially dependent on the government, but they’re less critical of programs to help the poor.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 64% of American Adults think there are too many Americans dependent on the government for financial aid. Only eight percent (8%) believe not enough Americans are dependent on this aid, while 17% feel the level of dependency is about right.
Who are those 8%? I mean, other than President Obama and his cabinet? “

It makes sense. The progressives used the Great Depression to make people dependent upon government as they had never been before. Now, they’re using a major recession to strengthen that stranglehold. You can’t fault their strategy. It appears to be working … except that the number of outspoken anti-government types also appears to be growing. Hmmm????
Even as someone who abhors the statist’s goals there is no denying their single-minded determination and their tremendous success over the past 3-4 generations . If only the forces of liberty could work so effectively towards our goals … But , as you say , the number and power of us continues to grow , we can only pray that we haven’t allowed them an insurmountable headstart .
I think part of our problem is that our goal is not to be united in lock step with lots of other people. We are not groupies. We are individualists. It’s rather ironic that to save individualism we may have to forego out own individualism, but that may be the case. It’s a thought to ponder.
