The Newest Privacy Technology In A Cell Phone

Encrypted Android Phone Is Only The Beginning For Blackphone And Silent Circle

” Blackphone, the Swiss start-up that’s launching a smartphone with encrypted communications, is planning a series of devices around the same idea, one of the company’s co-founders said on Monday.

“ It’s not the only device we will ever do,” said Jon Callas during an interview at the Mobile World Congress expo in Barcelona. “There’ll be other security and privacy-enhanced mobile devices.”

The Blackphone handset, which is being unveiled at the event, goes on sale in June for $629. It looks like a typical Android smartphone and is based on a security-hardened version of the OS called “PrivatOS.” Standard applications include secure calling and text messaging, encrypted file transfer and video chat.”

2 Arrested After Video Of Dog Beating In St. Louis County Goes Viral

” Two boys have been arrested after viewers from across the country saw an Internet video of a boy punching and throwing a dog. Laughter can be heard as the dog is slammed to the ground.

St. Louis County Police launched an investigation Thursday after getting calls about the video and that afternoon arrested two students from the Riverview Gardens School District.

The boys were referred to the county’s Family Court for the charge of animal abuse. They were being held at the St. Louis County Juvenile Justice Center.

The animal was taken into protective custody by county Animal Control. A staff member reached there late Thursday afternoon would only say that “the dog is safe and there’s an open investigation.”

These two boys deserve the a** kicking of a lifetime , and then about two years of community service shoveling the s**t out  of the kennels at the local animal shelter . Bas***ds .

Outrageous , the man gets paid $99.95 per student while the head of the LA school district , with nearly 100 times as many students makes $1.68 per student . For shame . It’s no wonder these parents are up in arms . We all should be .

The superintendent of the Centinela Valley School District was under fire Tuesday for what residents called his exorbitant pay and perks.

Carolyn Costello reports from Lawndale for the KTLA 5 News at 10 on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.

The Hidden Military Fortress Found Underneath Alcatraz

” Researchers have found a hidden military fortress, thought to have been destroyed previously, beneath the former Alcatraz Prison, where notable prisoners, such as Al Capone, George “Machine Gun” Kelly and Mickey Cohen were once imprisoned.

According to scientists, there is more history to “the Rock” than just crime and punishment. Researchers from Texas A & M have gone to Alcatraz to learn more about the hidden history beneath the prison walls.

” That’s ground-penetrating radar,” according to professor Mark Everett.

” The cart has a transmitter and a receiver – it sends an electromagnetic wave into the ground that then reflects off all the different structures underneath.

” Much like medical imaging would make a scan of the body, we are making a scan of the ground under the rec yard.” By using the science, the team has found a military fortress from the 1800s, which experts had believed was destroyed.”

Comedic Country Singer Tim Wilson Dies At 52

” Stand-up comedian and country singer Tim Wilson, who infused original songs into his comedy, died in Columbus, Ga., on Wednesday night of a massive heart attack, his manager Chris Dipetta told TODAY.

Wilson, 52, drove to Columbus from a gig in Michigan to visit his brother en route to a weekend show in Birmingham, Ala. when he started feeling ill, said Dipetta, who worked with Wilson for 30 years.

” I talked to him yesterday afternoon and said he felt bad, was short of breath, and I said, ‘get to the hospital now,” said Dipetta, fighting tears. “His brother took him to the hospital and he had a massive heart attack and passed away at 9:15 p.m.” “

” Although Wilson was not a household name, he had a strong and expansive following that admired his humorous country songs such as “Garth Brooks Ruined My Life” and “First Baptist Bar & Grill.” He also co-wrote Jeff Foxworthy’s hit “The Redneck 12 Days of Christmas.” “

He was a funny , funny man and in tribute to him we are going to highlight some of his work with very little commentary on our part . We’ll let Mr Wilson’s words speak for themselves .

Watch-Controlled ‘Smart’ Gun Fires Only When The Time Is Right

” The world of tech has been getting smarter with smartphones, smart watches and now smart… guns? It has finally come to light: a pistol that only fires when you are wearing a certain watch.

According Armatix, the manufacturer:

” Armatix Smart System – a consistent concept of gun safety for the future. In the case of conventional handguns, the gun is no longer secured the moment the shooter removes it from the safe or other security system. In the case of Armatix’s Smart System, security extends a decisive step beyond this point!”

Each watch is encoded with an electronic chip that interacts with the gun.

” Smart System consists of a radio-controlled watch that is responsible for gun access and use. A Smart System gun will only shoot if it is within range of this watch. It is possible to release the safety mechanism via the radio controlled watch activated by means of a PIN code. As soon as the gun loses radio contact with the watch – e.g. if it is knocked out of the shooter’s hand or in case of loss, theft, etc. – it automatically deactivates itself.”

Supreme Court Expands Police Power To Seize Your Assets Before Conviction

” It’s been a banner week for law enforcement at the U.S. Supreme Court. On Tuesday, in the case of Fernandez v. California, the Court broadened the power of the police to conduct warrantless home searches. But it was a decision handed down on Monday that’s likely to have the greatest impact on our criminal justice system.

At issue in Monday’s ruling in Kaley v. United States is an area of the law known as asset forfeiture. In essence, asset forfeiture is designed to help law enforcement officials seize the ill-gotten fruits of criminal activity, such as cash, cars, or homes. To that end, prosecutors are permitted to freeze the assets of criminal suspects during trial if there is probable cause to believe those assets constitute “proceeds” of the alleged criminal activity. Notice that this freezing occurs before the suspect has been duly convicted.”

Statism continues it’s long march with the aid of the very self-same courts that are supposed to protect our rights . Does anyone doubt that the deck has come to be stacked against the private citizen when the highest court in the land continually comes down on the side of Leviathan ? There comes only one more method of recourse .

The legislative branch has forsaken the people , the executive branch has forsaken the people and now the judicial branch has forsaken the people . Scalia , Thomas and Alito sided with the State on asset forfeiture and  Alito , Roberts , Thomas , Scalia all voted to broaden the warrantless search rules for the State … For Shame . What happened to their “strict construtionalism” ?   What to do , what to do ?

Perhaps the most surprising thing of all is that Sondra Sotomayer was the only justice to comer down on the side of liberty in both cases . Read more at Reason.

Restaurant Chain Charges Customers Obamacare Surcharge

Obamacare Surcharge

” A Florida group that that manages several restaurants is already banking money for when the Obamacare employer mandate takes effect in 2015, and is charging customers a 1 percent surcharge on food and drinks.

Currently only management employees of the eight Gator’s Dockside restaurants receive health insurance, but starting in December, in order to comply with the employer mandate, about 250 full-time employees will also receive health insurance, according to CNN Money.

Sandra Clark, director of operations for the Gator Group that manages the restaurants, “is not sure how much the company is spending on compliance, but estimates that it will cost $500,000 a year to extend insurance to its full-time hourly restaurant workers,” CNN Money reported. “The surcharge may bring in about $160,000 a year, she hopes.” “

Waco Siege Films

WACO: A New Revelation (Full Version)

” Film released in 1999 – April 19, 1993 – The massacre of the Branch Davidians in Waco, TX by the U.S. government.  Remember Waco?  This video shows hard evidence that the media wouldn’t and still won’t show the American public.

Waco: A New Revelation is the film that triggered a new Congressional investigation of the Waco tragedy, and caused the Justice Department and the FBI to reverse their long-held positions on Waco. It has generated a firestorm of events unprecedented in the history of documentary filmmaking. After six years of painstaking investigation, the complete story of the tragedy in Texas is finally coming to light. This compelling feature-length documentary presents new revelations about the events that led up to the deaths of 79 men, women and children at Mount Carmel on April 19, 1993. In the spring of 1998, under the Freedom of Information Act, investigators from MGA Studio’s film division became the first private citizens to gain access to the Waco investigation evidence lockers. What they found was shocking. Upon examination, the evidence gathered under the supervision of federal officials appeared to contradict the FBI’s congressional testimony, raising serious and disturbing questions about events surrounding the siege at Mt. Carmel and the deaths of the Davidians. Gene Cullen Since 1993, former members of the FBI, former Special Forces and CIA operatives have come forward with new evidence to suggest that the FBI’s claim is inaccurate.”

Waco Rules of Engagement

” A truly sobering testament to the tyrannical force of the US government. This documentary tells the story of the Waco siege. This documentary, from the ATF’s own footage, bears witness to the murder by the US government of citizens who choose to exercise their constitutional rights.

Truly a must see! Are we truly free when we fear our government?”

February 3, 1913:  Sixteenth Amendment Adopted

The Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI) to the United States Constitution allows the Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on the United States Census. This amendment exempted income taxes from the constitutional requirements regarding direct taxes, after income taxes on rents, dividends, and interest were ruled to be direct taxes in the court case of Pollock v. Farmers’ Loan & Trust Co. (1895).

Maryland Police Chief Humiliated After Citing Satirical Article To Oppose Pot Legalization

” Testifying against legislation that would decriminalize marijuana in Maryland, the Annapolis police chief cited a satirical article that claimed 37 pot deaths occurred on the first day Colorado legalized its sale.

“ The first day of legalization, that’s when Colorado experienced 37 deaths that day from overdose on marijuana,” Chief Michael Pristoop said on Tuesday as part of testimony during a Maryland Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee hearing. “I remember the first day it was decriminalized there were 37 deaths.”

Pristoop was quickly corrected by a sponsor of one of the bills, according to the Capital Gazette.

“ Unless you have some other source for this, I’m afraid I’ve got to spoil the party here,” said Sen. Jamie Raskin. “Your assertion that 37 people died of a marijuana overdose in Colorado was a hoax on the Daily Currant and the Comedy Central website.”

The Daily Currant posted the article – Marijuana Overdoses Kill 37 in Colorado on First Day of Legalization – on Jan. 2. It has since been shared over 24,000 times across various social media and other web platforms.”

Good Lord , we are led by idiots … this man and thousands like him are the ones we should trust to protect us ? A man of tremendous authority over the citizenry that cannot even distinguish fact from fiction ? God help us .
