British Sniper In Afghanistan Kills Six Taliban With One Bullet

Sniper with L115 A3 Rifle

” A British sniper in Afghanistan killed six insurgents with a single bullet after hitting the trigger switch of a suicide bomber whose device then exploded, The Telegraph has learnt.
The 20-year-old marksman, a Lance Corporal in the Coldstream Guards, hit his target from 930 yards (850 metres) away, killing the suicide bomber and five others around him caught in the blast.
The incident in Kakaran in southern Afghanistan happened in December but has only now been disclosed as Britain moves towards the withdrawal of all combat soldiers by the end of the year.”       L115A3.A2X0

” It is understood the L/Cpl was using an L115A3 gun, the Army’s most powerful sniper weapon.”

” Lt Col Richard Slack, commanding officer of 9/12 Royal Lancers, said the unnamed sharpshooter prevented a major attack by the Taliban, as a second suicide vest packed with 20kg (44lbs) of explosives was found nearby.
The same sniper, with his first shot on the tour of duty, killed a Taliban machine-gunner from 1,465 yards (1,340m).”

It largely replaces the L96 and L115A1 sniper rifles previously fielded by UK forces. The L115A3 is manufactured by Accuracy International. Among its features are:

  • chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum (8.59mm) with an effective range of +1,100 meters
  • stainless steel, fluted, 686mm barrel
  • Schmidt & Bender 5-25×56 PM II day scope with 25x magnification.
  • Sniper Thermal Imaging Capability (STIC) night scope mounted forward of the day scope allows for target acquisition at night / low-light conditions

  • 5-round box magazine “
For those of you long-range shooters who are drooling over the prospect of adding the “finest .338 sniper rifle in the world” to your collection be prepared to plunk down $35k or more if you can find one . Sure would be a nice addition to anyone’s safe .

Pilot’s Calm Announcement As Plane Is Struck By THREE Bolts At Once

‘Ladies And Gentlemen, You May Have Noticed We Were Hit By Lightning’

KLM Lightning Strike

” A bright flash of light and booming noises in a cramped seat thousands of feet in the air would be enough to put off even the most hardened fliers.

But passengers landing at Birmingham airport on Friday afternoon were led by example as their captain coolly steered them through three lightning blasts and left it until afterwards to calmly explain what happened.

Passengers spoke of a ‘massive bang’ as one of the bolts struck the body of the KLM service from Amsterdam, but the blasts had no effect on the landing, which proceeded as normal to touch down at 4.30pm.”

Koreas Trade Fire; Island Residents In Shelters

” North and South Korea fired hundreds of artillery shells into each other’s waters Monday in a flare-up of animosity that forced residents of five front-line South Korean islands to evacuate to shelters for several hours, South Korean officials said.

The exchange of fire into the Yellow Sea followed Pyongyang’s sudden announcement that it would conduct live-fire drills in seven areas north of the Koreas’ disputed maritime boundary. North Korea routinely test-fires artillery and missiles into the ocean but rarely discloses those plans in advance. The announcement was seen as an expression of Pyongyang’s frustration at making little progress in its recent push to win outside aid.

North Korea fired 500 rounds of artillery shells over more than three hours, about 100 of which fell south of the sea boundary, South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said. South Korea responded by firing 300 shells into North Korean waters, he said.

No shells from either side were fired at any land or military installations, but Kim called the North’s artillery firing a provocation aimed at testing Seoul’s security posture. There was no immediate comment from North Korea. “

One Percenter Convicted Of Raping Infant Child Dodges Jail Because He ‘Will Not Fare Well’

” A Delaware man convicted of raping his three-year-old daughter only faced probation after a state Superior Court judge ruled he “will not fare well” in prison.

In her decision, Judge Jan Jurden suggested Robert H. Richards IV would benefit more from treatment. Richards, who was charged with fourth-degree rape in 2009, is an unemployed heir living off his trust fund. The light sentence has only became public as the result of a subsequent lawsuit filed by his ex-wife, which charges that he penetrated his daughter with his fingers while masturbating, and subsequently assaulted his son as well.

Richards is the great grandson of du Pont family patriarch Irenee du Pont, a chemical baron.”

Team Obama’s Bizarre Efforts To Make Obamacare Cool

In the Obama gang’s Herculean efforts to salvage their namesake they have: called kids “knuckleheads” (Michelle) , said that “Americans were too stupid to use the internet” (Dingy Harry Reid) , said that a scraped knee would cost “thousands of dollars in the emergency room” (Valerie Jarrett) , it will cost “less than your monthly cell phone bill” (Obama) , less than a “pair of gym shoes” (Michelle) , told us “it is all about choice and opportunity and freedom” (Crazy Joe Biden) among other bald-faced lies .

All of these lies have been put forth by the various parties during a media saturation campaign facilitated by the likes of Saturday Night Live , The View , Pop Sugar , Telemundo , C-SPAN , Ellen , Funny or Die , Jimmy Fallon , not to mention endless free proselytizing by the mainstream “news” organizations and yet the people still know the truth … we’ve been screwed over in a big way .

Yet they wonder why all of their insults , cajoling and lies haven’t managed to persuade us of the wisdom of our “betters” . Such sheer volume of chutzpah , condescension and deceit has seldom been displayed to the voters by the ruling class in this country .

This video is a best of the lies compilation that must be seen to be believed .

Center For Immigration Studies Report: Catch And Release Is Obama Policy

” A review of internal ICE metrics for 2013 reveals that hundreds of thousands of deportable aliens who were identified in the interior of the country were released instead of removed under the administration’s sweeping “prosecutorial discretion” guidelines. In 2013, ICE reported 722,000 encounters with potentially deportable aliens, most of whom came to their attention after incarceration for a local arrest. Yet ICE officials followed through with immigration charges for only 195,000 of these aliens, only about one-fourth. According to ICE personnel, the vast majority of these releases occurred because of current policies that shield most illegal aliens from enforcement, not because the aliens turned out to have legal status or were qualified to stay in the United States.

Many of the aliens ignored by ICE were convicted criminals. In 2013, ICE agents released 68,000 aliens with criminal convictions, or 35 percent of all criminal aliens they reported encountering. The criminal alien releases typically occur without formal notice to local law enforcement agencies and victims.

These findings raise further alarm over the Obama administration’s pending review of deportation practices, which reportedly may further expand the administration’s abuse of “prosecutorial discretion”. Interior enforcement activity has already declined 40 percent since the imposition of “prosecutorial discretion” policies in 2011.1 Rather than accelerating this decline, there is an urgent need to review and reverse the public safety and fiscal harm cause by the president’s policies.

Key Findings

  • In 2013, ICE charged only 195,000, or 25 percent, out of 722,000 potentially deportable aliens they encountered. Most of these aliens came to ICE’s attention after incarceration for a local arrest.
  • ICE released 68,000 criminal aliens in 2013, or 35 percent of the criminal aliens encountered by officers. The vast majority of these releases occurred because of the Obama administration’s prosecutorial discretion policies, not because the aliens were not deportable.
  • ICE targeted 28 percent fewer aliens for deportation from the interior in 2013 than in 2012, despite sustained high numbers of encounters in the Criminal Alien and Secure Communities programs.
  • Every ICE field office but one reported a decline in interior enforcement activity, with the largest decline in the Atlanta field office, which covers Georgia and the Carolinas.
  • ICE reports that there are more than 870,000 aliens on its docket who have been ordered removed, but who remain in defiance of the law
  • Under current policies, an alien’s family relationships, political considerations, attention from advocacy groups, and other factors not related to public safety can trump even serious criminal convictions and result in the termination of a deportation case
  • Less than 2 percent of ICE’s caseload was in detention at the end of fiscal year 2013.
  • About three-fourths of the aliens ICE detained in 2013 had criminal and/or immigration convictions so serious that the detention was required by statute. This suggests the need for more detention capacity, so ICE can avoid releasing so many deportable criminal aliens.

Unless otherwise noted, the data for this report are from the 2013 fiscal year-end edition of ICE’s “Weekly Departures and Detention Report” (WRD), which is prepared by the Information Resource Management Unit of ICE’s Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).2 This report compiles a variety of ICE caseload statistics, including encounters, arrests, detention, and removal of aliens. The tables in this report use data taken directly from the WRD. “

How can this data be construed as anything other than a blatant disregard for the government’s main mandate of protecting it’s citizens ? Our country is deliberately being polluted with the undocumented aliens with the solitary goal of generating a permanent democratic majority as our “leaders” willfully disregard their Constitutional responsibilities to uphold our freedoms and safety .

New Poll: Americans Feel Safer With Guns In The Home By 2-1 Margin

” A new poll conducted this month shows that only 20 percent of Americans would feel less safe with a gun in the home.

The poll was conducted following passage of a controversial Georgia firearms law that would allow increased concealed carry in places formerly off limits as well as expansive gun rights laws in more than twenty states in the past year.

The data is part of a survey done last week by the market research firm Economist/YouGov. The nationwide survey of a thousand adults was conducted from March 22-24 and has a margin of error of 3.9 percentage points

Pollsters asked respondents, “Do you think you would feel more safe or less safe with a gun in your house?” To which 42 percent answered, “yes,” while just 20 percent answered, “no.” This result was nearly the same across ethnic lines and gender lines, but saw a wider divide amongst political affiliation with 33 percent of Democrat respondents feeling they would be less safe while 59 percent of Republicans stated they would be more safe. “ has the story and here is the actual polling data .

Concealed Carry: A Look At The Top Handguns

” With thousands of Illinois residents applying for licenses to carry concealed firearms, you might be wondering what the guy in the next car is packing in his waistband.

We visited Kenny Polhamus, owner and operator of Kapguns of Loves Park, to find out.

Polhamus says he doesn’t recommend anything smaller than a .380-caliber handgun and prefers the compact 9 mm pistols for concealed carry.

Smaller-caliber firearms, often called subcompacts, are lighter and more comfortable carrying concealed. But Polhamus says although the smaller guns are lethal, they are underpowered. And they have another major problem: Smaller guns are not that fun to shoot.

“ Because they are so small, they are harder to handle,” Polhamus said. “If you are going to carry a gun, you want to be able to shoot it, take it to the range and stuff. You know, those smaller guns aren’t fun to shoot. It’s a good one for the summer when all you’ve got is a pocket. But in regular clothes, I would suggest moving into the 9 mm.”

Polhamus recommends beginners take a basic pistol class before committing to a concealed carry course.

Polhamus told us about his top concealed carry handguns. All are a 9 mm caliber — a measure of the ammunition size the weapon accommodates. Weight is when unloaded: “

” This information about hair has been hidden from the public since the Vietnam War. Our culture leads people to believe that hair style is a matter of personal preference, that hair style is a matter of fashion and/or convenience, and that how people wear their hair is simply a cosmetic issue. Back in the Vietnam war, however, an entirely different picture emerged, one that has been carefully covered up and hidden from public view.

In the early nineties, Sally [name changed to protect privacy] was married to a licensed psychologist who worked at a VA medical hospital. He worked with combat veterans with PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder. Most of them had served in Vietnam.

Sally said, “I remember clearly an evening when my husband came back to our apartment on Doctor’s Circle carrying a thick official looking folder in his hands. Inside were hundreds of pages of certain studies commissioned by the government. He was in shock from the contents. What he read in those documents completely changed his life. From that moment on my conservative, middle-of-the-road husband grew his hair and beard and never cut them again. What is more, the VA Medical Center let him do it, and other very conservative men in the staff followed his example.

As I read the documents, I learned why. It seems that during the Vietnam War, special forces in the war department had sent undercover experts to comb American Indian Reservations looking for talented scouts, for tough young men trained to move stealthily through rough terrain. They were especially looking for men with outstanding, almost supernatural tracking abilities. Before being approached, these carefully selected men were extensively documented as experts in tracking and survival.

With the usual enticements, the well-proven smooth phrases used to enroll new recruits, some of these Indian trackers were then enlisted. Once enlisted, an amazing thing happened. Whatever talents and skills they had possessed on the reservation seemed to mysteriously disappear, as recruit after recruit failed to perform as expected in the field.

Serious causalities and failures of performance led the government to contract expensive testing of these recruits, and this is what was found.

When questioned about their failure to perform as expected, the older recruits replied consistently that when they received their required military haircuts, they could no longer ‘sense’ the enemy, they could no longer access a ‘sixth sense,’ their ‘intuition’ no longer was reliable, they couldn’t ‘read’ subtle signs as well or access subtle extrasensory information.

So the testing institute recruited more Indian trackers, let them keep their long hair, and tested them in multiple areas. Then they would pair two men together who had received the same scores on all the tests. They would let one man in the pair keep his hair long, and gave the other man a military haircut. Then the two men retook the tests.

Time after time the man with long hair kept making high scores. Time after time, the man with the short hair failed the tests in which he had previously scored high scores.

  Here is a Typical Test:

The recruit is sleeping out in the woods. An armed ‘enemy’ approaches the sleeping man. The long haired man is awakened out of his sleep by a strong sense of danger and gets away long before the enemy is close, long before any sounds from the approaching enemy are audible.”

Story continues here . Could this help to explain the belief that women are innately more intuitive than men ?

Concealed CarryPermit Process ‘Moving Right Along’

” By the time the first concealed carry licenses hit Illinois mailboxes this month, state police had fielded tens of thousands of applications from residents.

By March 6, some 48,951 applicants had completed the online forms requesting a permit. The application process opened on Jan. 5.

Cook County led the state with 12,027 applicants. There also were more Cook County applications that received objections from law enforcement than any other county: 664. Still, the state’s most populous county also represented the lowest concentration of applicants per capita, with 2.3 applications per 1,000 residents.

The home of Chicago is the only county in the state with an average of fewer than 2.5 applicants per 1,000 residents.

The greatest concentrations reside in Hardin and White counties in far southern Illinois, topping the per-capita list at 12.5 applications per 1,000 residents each. Hardin and White represent only 54 and 184 applications, respectively.”

Supreme Court Keeps Guns Away From Those Guilty Of Domestic Violence

The Supreme Court on Wednesday strengthened a federal law that bars anyone convicted of domestic violence from possessing a gun.

In a 9-0 decision, the high court said the ban extended to anyone who had pleaded guilty to at least a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence, even in cases in which there was no proof of violent acts or physical injury.

The ruling overturns decisions in several regions, including the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in California, which had said the ban applied only to convictions that involved a “violent use of force.”

At issue was a 1996 law in which Congress expanded an existing ban that applied to anyone convicted of a felony in a domestic violence case to include misdemeanor convictions.”

Thanks to a 9-0 decision from the Nine Old Swine now our gun rights are basically at the mercy of your domestic partner’s whim . Choose your mate well my friends for even a bogus complaint of feeling threatened by you from your significant other can rob you of your right to self-defense … FOR LIFE .

In the case, U.S. vs. Castleman, the Supreme Court, in an opinion written by Obama liberal appointee Justice Sonia Sotomayor has decided that a misdemeanor conviction in a state court for “domestic violence” can be used under federal law to deny a person the Second Amendment right to own a firearm, even if the offense occurred years ago and the nature of the abuse involved in the “domestic violence” misdemeanor was minor in nature.

In other words, the Supreme Court opened the door so federal gun control law enforcement is free to investigate a person’s domestic relations past to deny gun rights if the person did something within the “family” a spouse, lover, or child considered objectionable, even if the incident occurred 20 years ago and did not involve allegations of physical force or violence.

Local Couple Upset After Receiving Pre-Marked Voter Registration Card From Covered California

” A local couple called 10News concerned after they received an envelope from the state’s Obamacare website, Covered California. Inside was a letter discussing voter registration and a registration card pre-marked with an “x” in the box next to Democratic Party.

The couple – who did not want their identity revealed – received the letter and voter registration card from their health insurance provider Covered California, the state-run agency that implements President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.

They have lived in La Mesa for years and they have always been registered to vote Republican. Now, they are perplexed as to how the voter registration card pre-marked Democrat ended up in their mailbox.

“ I’m an old guy and I never would have noticed it, except I have an accountant that notices every dot and dash on a piece of paper as a wife,” said the man who received the mailer.”

Exclusive: Photographs Expose Russian-Trained Killers In Kiev

Russian Snipers Kiev

” The first crack of a sniper’s round in Kiev’s Independence Square came shortly after nine o’clock on the morning of February 20 and the last about seven hours later at around four o’clock in the afternoon drawing to a close the bloodiest day in what had been a months-long struggle to oust Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych.

Many of the 53 people slain died from clean shots to the head or neck—telltale wounds inflicted by expert marksmen; while others were gunned down at closer quarters by less expert assassins armed with AK-47 assault rifles.

Most of the photographs accompanying this article were taken on February 20, and they appear to reveal the truth about who carried out the shootings in Independence Square on that day—a fateful one for both Ukraine and for Europe, which suddenly witnessed the continent’s worst political violence of the 21st century. The pictures shared exclusively with The Daily Beast show members of a crack anti-terrorist unit known as the Alfa Team in the courtyard of the headquarters of Ukraine’s feared state security service, the SBU, preparing themselves for battle. The agency’s seven-story headquarters occupies an entire city block and is just three streets from the Maidan.”

Lawsuit: Man Arrested, Searched For Marijuana Solely For Having Colorado License Plate

” An Idaho state trooper arrested and fully searched a 70-year-old Washington man’s vehicle solely because he had a Colorado license plate – a state where marijuana is legal – a federal “license plate profiling” lawsuit alleges.

Darien Roseen was driving along I-84 between his second home in Colorado and Washington state on Jan. 25 when Idaho State Trooper Justin Klitch “immediately” pulled out from the Interstate median and began “rapidly accelerating” to catch up to Roseen, according to the complaint in a Courthouse News Service report. Exiting at a designated rest area, Roseen says he became “uncomfortable” that Klitch had followed him though he had not “done anything wrong.”

After pulling Roseen over, Klitch reportedly failed to explain why he made the stop, although he later said he made the stop because Roseen failed to use his signal when pulling off on the exit, and because he bumped the curb. Klitch rejected Roseen’s reason for pulling into the rest area, telling him, “You didn’t have to go to the bathroom before you saw me … I’m telling you, you pulled in here to avoid me.” “

Klitch repeatedly asked to search Roseen’s vehicle as he accused him of “hiding” something. And when Roseen did not grant him permission, Klitch threatened to bring in a drug-sniffing dog and characterized Roseen’s behavior as “consistent with a person who was hiding something illegal.

Finally consenting to a search of “parts” of the vehicle to get “back on the road faster,” Roseen says that this proved to be a mistake.

“ When Mr. Roseen opened the trunk compartment, and despite the strong gusts of wind and precipitation that day, Trooper Klitch claimed he could smell the odor of marijuana,” the complaint states. “Mr. Roseen stated that he could not smell the odor of marijuana that Trooper Klitch claimed to be coming from the trunk compartment.”

Calling in an additional police officer, Klitch said the aroma gave him cause to search the entire vehicle, and Roseen was detained in the back of Klitch’s vehicle, but was told he was not under arrest despite having been read his Miranda rights.

The second officer drove Roseen’s Honda Ridgeline to the Payette County Sheriff’s sally port although Roseen states that he never gave the officer permission to drive his vehicle and the car’s items were not inventoried.

The ensuing search of the vehicle by multiple unidentified officers found nothing and Roseen was issued a citation for “inattentive/careless” driving.”

Seeing How Identical Twins Differ Later In Life Is Fascinating

” When identical twins are born, they look like they will grow up to be the same person. They literally have the same face, the same body. Even their parents may need assistance in identifying who is who when they are just children. Even though twins start life looking like the other person, inside each of them is a very different soul. (Even a twin’s genetic makeup is completely unique and not an exact match to their counterpart’s.)

Photographer Gao Rongguo created a photo series that focuses on how life changes each of us. He studied twins that grew up where he did, the Shandong province of China. He took pictures of identical twins and placed them side-by-side, to make it look as if the twins were facing each other. He wanted to allow others to reflect on the differences that life, learning and experience can have on us all, but is especially apparent in identical twins.”
