“ Paradigm shifts are underway,” says entrepreneur Grant Delgatty. When he noticed that millennials were tuning in to social and environmental issues, it triggered his breakthrough invention: the URB-E e-vehicle.

Grant wagered on the power of a new generation prioritizing sustainability. With this in mind, he saw the infinite growth potential of clean energy transportation. “It’s about social impact. Every decision we make needs to be the right decision to protect our environment for tomorrow,” says Delgatty. What resulted from this market research was simple: a super-compact electric scooter.

This invention solves the global problem of getting that last mile from your car’s parking space to your destination. “The URB-E fits between your legs and has the same footprint as your body,” he explains. It’s the first foldable e-vehicle—with the comforts of a bicycle—that goes up to 20 miles on one charge. That’s why it’s no surprise that URB-E won the 2014 CES Verge Award.”
