” Here are the seven reports of police misconduct tracked for Friday, March 20, 2015:

  • Lauderhill, Florida: An officer was arrested for domestic violence and violating restraining order after going to his ex-wife’s home.
  • Dougherty County, Georgia: An officer was arrested for making terroristic threats.
  • Hardin County, Texas: A deputy pled guilty to making a false statement to a federal agent in regard to a child pornography shipment. Investigators determined it had been purchased with the deputy’s email address, credit card, and phone number.
  • Kissimmee, Florida: A detective faces trial for DUI. The former Kissimmee detective of the year failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a breath test.
  • Update: Houston County, Alabama (First reported 02-09-15): A deputy was acquitted of a domestic violence charge stemming from an incident with his stepson.
  • Escalante, Utah: The police chief, who also is the only officer in the town, was charged with making false statements on drug arrest
  • Ford County, Kansas: A now-former deputy was charged with 15 misdemeanor counts of misconduct and theft. He is alleged to have repeatedly used a county vehicle for personal use.
