” The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the Prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. Time Travel Is Easy …

… In One Direction , Says Prof Brian Cox

” Whizzing forward a few thousand years in time would be a breeze, the physicist and television presenter said, but finding your way back again could be more of a problem.

While Einstein’s theory of Special Relativity would allow the Doctor “almost total freedom of movement” in the future, he would need to find a wormhole – a short cut through space and time – in order to return to the past, he explained.

Prof Cox, who once had a cameo appearance in Doctor Who, will give a scientific talk to mark the 50th anniversary of the BBC One drama in London next week.

The hour-long talk, to be filmed at the Royal Institution, is part of a series of special programmes to be screened ahead of a 75-minute episode entitled “Day of the Doctor” on November 23.”

Happy Easter From YouViewed

Albert Einstein

“As a child I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene…. No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life.”

Rare and Iconic Photos of Einstein

” Ask anyone to name an iconic scientist and most people will say Albert Einstein. He was his generation’s greatest physicist as well as an international celebrity and humanitarian. Many people can tell you at least something about his renowned Theory of Relativity, though the details probably elude them right now.

Einstein’s fame extends to pop culture, where photos of the eminent scientist can be seen plastered on mugs, t-shirts, postcards, and internet memes. Though many images are well known — Einstein framed by his wild hair sticking his tongue out at the camera — there are still a good number that rarely see the light of day.

In honor of the 90th anniversary of Albert Einstein winning the Nobel Prize in physics, we are presenting a collection of photographs — some famous, some rare — that exemplify this singular man. The images come from the Bettmann Archive, a collection of more than 11 million historical photographs owned by Corbis Images. “
