Another NYPD Beating Caught on Tape, Another Victim Of Police Brutality Who Had To Face Charges, More Cops Investigated By Their Own

” Last month, nearly half a dozen police officers beat up Santiago Hernandez, according to Hernandez, who told a local ABC affiliate police asked and received permission to frisk him but got upset when he asked them after being found not to be carrying contraband what the stop was all about. That’s when Hernandez says police tried to arrest him, and then beat him “like a gang.” Via ABC 7:

[The officer] was telling me to put my hands behind my back, but ‘I’m like trying to understand what are you are arresting me for. Can you please tell me?'” Hernandez said.

Moments later, half-a-dozen officers arrived and appeared to pile-on. Hernandez said he was punched, kicked, beaten with nightsticks, and blasted with pepper spray. “

Retiree Dies In Police Custody After Traffic Stop

” Florida authorities are investigating the death of a man in Key West after he was arrested by police.

The Michigan retiree moved to the island paradise for sun and sand, but that came to a sudden end after a routine traffic stop.

Eimers had just arrived from Michigan when Key West police pulled him over in front of a Pizza Hut for reckless driving. According to police, he fled the scene and several officers followed him to a beach.

Official documents obtained by CBS News offer differing accounts of Eimers’ encounter with police and what happened next. In the police report, Eimers was charged with resisting an officer “with violence.

But officers on the scene told paramedics a different story. An EMS report indicates Key West police told paramedics that Eimers left his vehicle and ran, then collapsed on the beach. He never regained consciousness.”

Charles Eimers Death

” Hospital records say that Eimers “was found without a pulse by police” and later died at the hospital from lack of oxygen to the brain.

But a cell phone video – shot by a bystander and released nearly two weeks after the arrest – shows none of those versions are accurate. Eimers can be seen walking away from his car and surrendering before police approach with guns drawn.

Treavor Eimers said, “I watched the video, and I had no words. Everything that I was told while I was here was a lie.”

A suspicious death involving the police and yet there was to be no autopsy , a clear violation of Florida law ? Hospital records destroyed ? A quick cremation ? WTF ? Can you spell coverup ?

Family Plans To File Complaint Over Boynton Beach Police Video

Cop Kicks Restained Kid

” The family of a teenage boy plans to file a formal complaint against Boynton Beach Police after video surfaced online showing an officer appearing to kick the teen while he was handcuffed.

” He, like, sweeped me off the ground. He kicked me,” said Kevens Jean Baptiste. “He didn’t say nothing. He just kicked me, and they put me in the back of the car.”

After he says he was cuffed and kicked, Jean Baptiste, 13, said Boynton Beach Police drove him to Congress Middle School.

He said police were called in after he was kicked off the school bus for refusing to follow the driver’s order to keep the windows closed. Jean Baptiste said perfume had been sprayed inside and he had a hard time breathing.”

North Carolina Deputy Snatches Two Phones, Fails To Snatch Third, As She Handcuffs Man For No Reason

” As a drill instructor in the United States Marines, Natalie Barber learned she can get people to do what she wants by yelling at them.

And that technique probably still works for her today as a deputy with the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.

But it didn’t work Saturday night when she tried using it on Carlos Jaramillo, a former United States Marine combat instructor and longtime Photography is Not a Crime reader.

Frustrated that he didn’t obey her unlawful orders to “put the phone down” as he was recording her from his front porch, she ended up snatching the phone and handcuffing the 35-year-old father in front of his wife and kids, then snatching his son’s phone when he tried recording the detainment, injuring the teen’s hand and damaging his phone.

But she was unable to snatch a third phone belonging to his wife, which his son picked up and began recording from behind the screened door after his own phone was snatched.

All three clips survived, proving that Barber lied in the incident report, posted below, where she accused Jaramillo of “being aggressive” and “causing commotion and distracting me from doing my job.” “

Nair Rodriguez Death – Five Oklahoma Cops Restrain Man Who Later Died In Hospital In Moore

” Family release video of father who died after being restrained by five cops for failing to show ID following an argument at a movie theater

The family of a man who died after a struggle with police outside an Oklahoma movie theater released a cellphone video on Tuesday, which shows five officers restraining the man face down on the ground, with one officer holding his head forcefully down.

Minutes later, Nair Rodriguez, who shot the nearly 6-minute video of her husband, Luis Rodriguez, outside a Moore theater earlier this month, starts to scream as he’s placed on a stretcher.

‘ Papa! Is he OK? He doesn’t move. He doesn’t move! You kill him! You kill him! You killed my husband! Please somebody tell me that he’s alive!’ she screams.
A police officer assures Nair Rodriguez that her husband is alive and that medical personnel will take care of him. He died later in hospital.

Early on February 15th, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance and tried to question Luis Rodriguez, Moore Police Chief Jerry Stillings said at a news conference last week.

Rodriguez was pepper-sprayed before officers used two pairs of handcuffs to restrain him as he was face down on the ground, Stillings said.

Nair Rodriguez has told media outlets that police beat her husband, but there are no signs of punching or kicking in the video, and Stillings has said there are no indications that batons or other weapons were used.

The Rodriguez family held a news conference Tuesday to release the video. Nair Rodriguez thanked the media for covering the case, but did not take questions.”

Cell Phone Video Contradicts Sheriff’s Version Of Deputy-Involved Killing

Arizona Sheriff Shoots Unarmed Man

” An Arizona deputy shot and killed a man claiming he was reaching for a gun, but a cell phone video shows the man had raised his hands in the air.

However, Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu insists the man should have been killed much earlier because he wasn’t complying with their orders.

But obviously Babeu is trying to spin the story after the cell phone video contradicted their earlier rendition of the facts.

According to CBS5:

A witness shot the video on a cell phone. It shows the final moments of the standoff, when deputies were ordering Manuel Longoria to surrender. The deputies had their weapons drawn and fired five bean bag rounds at the suspect, in addition to Taser rounds.”

New Videos Released In Attack On Hollywood Teen

Brutal Florida Attack

” CBS4 News has obtained a series of new and disturbing cell phone videos that show a vicious, unrelenting beating of a Hollywood teenager last November outside a home on McKinley Street.

Hollywood Police say the videos depict Ericka Avery and Patricia Montes relentlessly punching and kicking the victim while telling her that the beating will cease if she has sex with a man named Jayvon Woolfork. Last month prosecutors showed a series of videos in court of the attack from inside the house. These new videos show what occurred before the attack moved inside.

As the videos begin, the victim is on the ground being dragged on the ground and sustaining a series of blows from her attackers. Voices recorded on the videos refer to the victim having been maced. At one point, one of the females is heard asking, “Are you recording again?” before walking over to the victim and forcefully slapping her in the head.

The videos reveal that at least two young men were watching the beating. One of the men is heard saying, “They don’t like this girl.” One of the females responds, “I told you we were gonna f— somebody up.” “

Drunken Off-Duty Deputy Tried To Arrest Female Soldier At Bar When She Resisted His Advances

” A drunken sheriff’s deputy was recorded during a strange and inappropriate altercation when he tried to arrest a female soldier at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Columbia, because she allegedly turned down his advances.

On October 7th, 23-year-old Brittany Ball, a USMC member out of Fort Jackson, was allegedly upset at the restaurant when approached by Richland County Deputy Paul Allen Derrick.  She apparently did not want anything to do with him, which caused the aggressive deputy to become enraged and the two began to argue.

Derrick, a 17 year veteran, left the restaurant to go retrieve handcuffs and his gun from his vehicle, then returning to try and arrest Ball.  He was recorded screaming at her and barking orders as he twisted her arms behind her back.”
