Accused Ex-Maine State Police Chief Tried To Commit Suicide

” When detectives with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office interviewed Andrew Demers Jr. a week ago, he was in the intensive care unit of Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

The former chief of the Maine State Police had tried to take his own life shortly before the investigation into allegations he engaged in unlawful sexual contact with a 4-year-old girl got underway, authorities said. Interviewed at the hospital, Demers confessed to the conduct, according to the sheriff’s office.

The 73-year-old grandfather, named a Legendary Trooper in 2003, was able to turn himself in Monday at the county jail, where he was charged with a single count of unlawful sexual contact, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

The charges came about after someone notified the state police on March 10 about allegations Demers had engaged in unlawful sexual contact with the girl, a relative. State police forwarded the tip on to Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie Anderson, who asked the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office to investigate.”

Below is a video clip from a show called Top Cops in which Lt Demers is highlighted for his actions on his way up the ladder to the top spot in the Maine State Police … Demers is far from a hero today .

Teen Jumps Out Window To Escape Deputy, Who Now Faces Sexual Assault Charges

” A teenager says she had to jump out of her bedroom window to get away from a deputy, who now faces sexual assault charges.
Phillip Richards, 42, had to be shown which way to go as he went before Clayton County Magistrate Court Judge Richard Brown.
One might think he would know his way around the courtroom since he’s a Clayton County deputy.  He’s a deputy who now faces serious charges that will keep him behind bars for a while.
” Under Georgia law I cannot set a bond at this time for aggravated child molestation. That has to be on a separate bond calendar,” Brown told Richards during his first court appearance.
Richards faces aggravated child molestation and another sex-related charge after police say he molested a 13-year-old girl. “

Secret FBI files ‘reveal’ that Michael Jackson was a ‘serial child predator who spent $35 million to silence at least two dozen boys he abused since 1989’

” Michael Jackson paid $35 million in hush money to at least two dozen young boys he sexually abused over 15 years, it has been alleged.

Sunday People has published explosive ‘secret FBI files’ suggesting the King of Pop groomed and molested children from at least 1989, despite his insistence he was just spending time with them.

The damning files claim the deceased popstar was a ‘pedophile’ who watched porn while assaulting a boy, molested a famous child star, fondled a child’s genitals in his private cinema and groped another child whose mother wasn’t ‘bothered’ by it.

Sunday People says it has evidence to back the investigators claims.

When Anthony Pellicano was investigated in 2002 for bugging Hollywood stars, the FBI seized his files, including many about Jackson.

These included case files CADCE MJ-02463 and CR 01046 which Sunday People claims it has access to.

The files were allegedly not passed on to prosecutors in Jackson’s controversial 2005 molestation trial.”

With Ricin Case Crumbling, FBI Targets New Man

” Paul Kevin Curtis, 45, was arrested last week for allegedly sending the threatening letters to Obama, U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, and a Mississippi county judge. But Curtis has been released from custody amid signs that the case against him has collapsed.

During a court hearing yesterday, lawyers for Curtis contended that he had been framed and pointed investigators toward James Everett Dutschke, a 41-year-old Tupelo man with whom Curtis has feuded. Like Curtis, Dutschke is a martial arts expert, a musician, and a Mensa member.

Dutschke was arrested in January on a child molestation charge in connection with the alleged assault of a seven-year-old girl at the tae kwon do studio he operates. In March, he was named in a three-count felony indictment accusing him of fondling a victim under the age of 16 (each count carries a maximum 15-year prison term). Dutschke, now free on bond, has previously been convicted of indecent exposure.

4/23 UPDATE: A federal judge this afternoon formally dismissed criminal charges against Curtis. Magistrate S. Allan Alexander signed an order for dismissal after prosecutors petitioned to drop their case since “the ongoing investigation has revealed new information.” ”
