CNN Poll: Trust In Government At All-Time Low

” The poll also indicates that the public’s trust in government is at an all-time low.

Just 13% of Americans say the government can be trusted to do what is right always or most of the time, with just over three-quarters saying only some of the time and one in 10 saying they never trust the government, according to the poll.

” The number who trust the government all or most of the time has sunk so low that it is hard to remember that there was ever a time when Americans routinely trusted the government,” CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said.

” But polls conducted by the University of Michigan consistently found a majority of Americans in the 1960s and early 1970s saying that the government could be trusted all or most of the time – until Watergate. In 1972, 53% said they trusted the government always or most of the time. By 1974, that figure had plummeted to 36%, and except for a brief period of patriotic sentiment immediately after the 9/11 attacks, it has remained under 50% ever since,” Holland added.”

L.A. Gets Snarky About Obama Traffic Delays: #ThanksObama

” President Obama may rake in the money from fawning donors during his two-day fundraising sweep through Los Angeles this week, but he’s not winning any fans among commuters who, as they do, take to social media to vent.

“ Obama is visiting Los Angeles today which means I won’t be home till around 7:30pm due to traffic delays. #SMH” tweeted Twitter user West Coastin’.

Obama’s L.A. visit, scheduled to start Wednesday afternoon, means traffic headaches for commuters in West Hollywood, downtown, Mid-Wilshire, Exposition Park, Pacific Palisades and Brentwood, among other areas.

“ If you’re on the Westside today … don’t get trapped in traffic. Obama’s a’comin!” said Twitter user Byrd. “

LA Times has more and be sure to visit #ThanksObama at Twitter

Activists Plan For March Against Mainstream Media Nov 16th Worldwide

” Activists, that may not necessarily identify as Anonymous, are planning for a Worldwide March Against Mainstream Media[1] on Nov 16th. Similar to the recent Million Mask March that was largely organized by Anonymous, that we also reported on here[2] and here[3]

The full text of their call to action is as follows:

“MARCH AGAINST MAINSTREAM MEDIA is more than just a protest. It is an attack against the credibility of the mainstream media in an attempt to steer its viewers away from its lies and towards alternative media sources. There are too many important things happening today that go ignored or spun by the MSM and unnoticed by the mass public. On November 16th, organized protest in the United States will be brought to the doorstep of all large mainstream media studio headquarters including: ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and FOX News. With enough support from truthseekers out at their local MSM studio locations on November 16, we will force the hand of those media outlets and they will be pushed to make a decision.

They can either:

Choose to report on the fact that thousands of people are currently protesting outside of their buildings because they are keeping important news from the public’s eyes.

Or they can:

Choose to ignore the fact that thousands of people are outside all of their buildings protesting them. This is what we want them to do, because independent and alternative media organizations along with large social media pages with millions of reach have been put on high alert for this event and will then flood the internet and radio to the fact that this mass protest is going on against the mainstream media.

This will cause the mass public (who only watch MSM) to search for the story elsewhere, and turn away from the (MSM) television. While we have the attention of the public for this day, while they are looking into this giant event, we must get the point across to them that a lot of very serious things are taking place that they are unaware of or have been lied to about. The MSM news channel that they always watch has deep ties with large contributors of money and government branches to only show the news that is beneficial to those who pay these MSM giants. Most importantly we must turn away from being spoon-fed information from the MSM and turn to alternative and independent media sources for our news.

We must make it clear on that day that the news source that is not showing the protests is the news source you have to stop getting your news from. And the news source that IS showing the protests is where you should look for news from now on.

This is a call to all truthseekers, to all of those who know corruption is taking place, and who want to change the world to what we all know it could be. The United States Mainstream Media is the #1 tool used against the American people and we have to get the mass public to turn away from this garbage once and for all and actually start thinking for ourselves. Imagine what would happen if the news actually told us the truth and showed us important things? My guess is revolution overnight.

SHARE this message! November 16th, MARCH AGAINST MAINSTREAM MEDIA!”[4] “

” Here is a list of protest locations along with a link to the Facebook page for each . If you can take part and show the MSM that we are tired of the bias and lies please do so , and tell your friends .

” At the time of writing this was a list of events that are scheduled, numbering at 180, We have edited this list slightly for posting. We will update this list as the day of action approaches.”

From Roger’s Rules

” Witnessing the unedifying spectacle put on by our masters in Washington this last week or so, we could only shake our heads sadly. And when we contemplated the action of ordinary citizens — those vets who disassembled the “Barrycades” erected in front of national monuments by a punitive Obama administration — we couldn’t help wondering whether the country was teetering towards a pre-revolutionary state. Take a look at this video showing hundreds of veterans confronting park police in riot gear — riot gear! — in front of the White House. How about this photo of a vet: he lost the bottom half of both legs fighting to protect us from foreign enemies, and here he is now, tearing down those Barrycades, fighting to protect our prerogatives as free citizens, protesting the arrogant, overweening actions of a political elite that more and more views us citizens as serfs:

There is a lot more to be said about the events of the last couple of weeks: the pseudo-shutdown, the ham-handed and ineffectual pontifications of John Boehner, the punitive actions of the increasingly lawless Obama administration. Pundits and markets the world over heaved a collective sigh of relief when this circus of intransigence, stupidity, and preening brinksmanship collapsed on itself yesterday, but what happened is not behind us: it is prelude, not history. We are in the midst of political, social, and moral realignment, the lineaments of which no one’s crystal ball is sufficiently prescient to delineate with anything more than guess and possibilities.

This is a large subject, better suited to a book than a blog post. But let me draw on “The Obamacare Disaster,” an essay by Conrad Black at NRO, to highlight some of the headwinds we face. First, a few data points:

The United States has 5 percent of the world’s people, 25 percent of its incarcerated people, and half of its trained lawyers (who now take about 10 percent of the GDP); the legal system is an embarrassment, and the criminal-justice system is a disgrace, in which prosecutors win 99.5 percent of their cases, 97 percent of them without a trial. The legislators of the country are ultimately responsible for this corruption of what the Constitution and Bill of Rights set up as a just and merciful Society of Laws. The terminal cancer of legal paralysis spreads every week of every year.

Can you doubt that what Black says is true? But what are “we the people” going to do about this metastasizing pathology? “
