ISIS-Fighting Britons Held At Heathrow Airport

” Two British men who joined Kurdish forces fighting Islamic State in Syria have told how they were treated as terrorism suspects on their return to the UK.

Former soldiers Jamie Read, 24, and James Hughes, 26, say they were taken to separate interview rooms at Heathrow Airport and questioned about their trip for six hours.

Anti-terrorism officers took their laptops and equipment and went through their phones, they said.

Mr Read told The Sun: “I was raging. They kept asking why we went, who we were with and were we being paid? We weren’t, of course.”

The pair went to Syria and fought alongside Kurdish forces in Kobani after IS filmed the brutal killing of British and American aid workers.”

” They said on Facebook before they went that they could “not do nothing while innocent men, women and children are tortured and murdered by Islamic State while the international community stands by and observes from the luxury of their boardrooms or their tanks on the hill [sic].”

The men had been warned that they would face police interviews if they returned to Britain. Sir Edward Garnier QC, the former solicitor general told BBC Radio 4 in November: “We are in a terrible grey area, not least because we don’t know enough about what they are doing.”

“ The United Kingdom is trying to defeat ISIL. But freelancers are not acting on behalf of the United Kingdom. They may well be guilty of murder, or other sorts of crimes, or they might not be guilty of anything.

“ It goes to the general story who go abroad to fight in other people’s wars place themselves not only in physical danger, but in that legal limbo land where they could, if they get on the wrong side of this almost invisible line, into trouble when they get home,” he said.

The Britons had joined a legion of 20 foreign fighters known as the Lions of Rojava, where they could be seen on the group’s website with the motto: “Send terrorists to hell and save humanity.” They were allegedly recruited by an American called Jordan Matson. “

So much for the spirit that produced 40,000 volunteers to fight fascism in the Abraham Lincoln Brigade 80 odd years ago . My how the West has fallen … Political correctness will be the death of us all .

Chief Of Police Harassed By Feds, Placed On Leave After Signing Pledge To Uphold Constitution

” A police chief was detained and harassed by federal agents while traveling to a constitutional convention before returning home to be told he was being placed on administrative leave and ordered to disband his police department after signing a pledge to uphold the bill of rights.

Police Chief Shane Harger of the Jemez Springs, NM Police Department was flying out of Albuquerque Airport last week on his way to a Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) convention taking place in Las Vegas. CSPOA is an organization headed up by Sheriff Richard Mack under which law enforcement officers gather to re-affirm their commitment to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Before passing security, Harger was approached by a TSA agent who asked the police chief to show his credentials. Moments later, a man claiming to be a “federal agent” also asked to see Harger’s credentials before telling him he was a “person of interest.” The federal agent then demanded to know where Harger was traveling to and why.”

Russian Security Detains 140 Suspected Muslim Extremists In Moscow House Of Worship

” Russian authorities detained 140 suspected Muslim extremists in the capital city of Moscow on Friday. At least 30 of those now in custody are foreign nationals.

Russian Federal Security Service officials told RT that the suspects were detained in a house of worship where visitors often “converted to radicalism and joined militant groups active in the North Caucasus, as well as participated in preparing and perpetrating terrorist acts in Russia.”

Friday’s detentions in Moscow recall arrests made in Russia in 2011, when four people from the North Caucasus were detained on charges of plotting bomb attacks in the capital city. Those suspects attended the same prayer house where the 140 alleged extremists were arrested Friday.”
