Patient With Five Brain Tumors Loses Health Insurance Thanks To Obamacare

“A woman in a life and death battle with cancer was dealt another devastating blow,” says the Florida anchor.

“This letter makes more problems for us,” says the cancer victim. “That we don’t need at this moment.”

The anchor continues, “She just found out she’s being dropped by her insurance company because of a loophole in Obamacare. Incredible story. Gloria Cantor has been fighting this illness for months with her husband … at her side.”

Then there are these people one of which we have posted on previously .

” Previously, Edie Littlefield Sundby, who has stage 4 gallbladder cancer, wrote of her situation since losing her Cadillac insurance plan because of Obamacare.

And then there’s Michael Cerpok, a leukemia survivor in Fountain Hills, Arizona, whose future is not looking too rosy.”

White House Takes To Twitter To Dismiss Stage-4 Cancer Patient’s Insurance Cancellation

” Dan Pfeiffer is the White House’s senior advisor to President Obama.  Responding to a stage-4 cancer patient’s op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Pfeiffer took to twitter today to dismiss her complaint that she has lost her insurance coverage and her doctors because of Obamacare.”

We posted about Edie Littlefield Sundby and her letter yesterday and lo and behold within hours a simple citizen expressing her first amendment rights comes under attack by the national bullying team at the White House . Have we ever had an administration that sunk to such depths as to demonize individuals by name ? Shameful is the only word that comes to mind .

But of course this is not the first time the Chicago gang has sunk to character assassination . It has been a recurring theme over the past five years , but in all our years of following national politics we must admit that the phenomena seems to have been a recent development . More of that “Hope & Change”

I Had Great Cancer Doctors And Health Insurance. My Plan Was Cancelled. Now I Worry How Long I’ll Live.

” Everyone now is clamoring about Affordable Care Act winners and losers. I am one of the losers.

My grievance is not political; all my energies are directed to enjoying life and staying alive, and I have no time for politics. For almost seven years I have fought and survived stage-4 gallbladder cancer, with a five-year survival rate of less than 2% after diagnosis. I am a determined fighter and extremely lucky. But this luck may have just run out: My affordable, lifesaving medical insurance policy has been canceled effective Dec. 31.

My choice is to get coverage through the government health exchange and lose access to my cancer doctors, or pay much more for insurance outside the exchange (the quotes average 40% to 50% more) for the privilege of starting over with an unfamiliar insurance company and impaired benefits.”

Read Edie’s story here . This truly puts a human face on the suffering and hardship piled on the backs of real people under the government’s heavy-handed efforts to deliver “free healthcare” for all .

” Before the Affordable Care Act, health-insurance policies could not be sold across state lines; now policies sold on the Affordable Care Act exchanges may not be offered across county lines.

What happened to the president’s promise, “You can keep your health plan”? Or to the promise that “You can keep your doctor”? Thanks to the law, I have been forced to give up a world-class health plan. The exchange would force me to give up a world-class physician.

For a cancer patient, medical coverage is a matter of life and death. Take away people’s ability to control their medical-coverage choices and they may die. I guess that’s a highly effective way to control medical costs. Perhaps that’s the point.”
