” Howard Dean thinks Governor Scott Walker isn’t qualified to be President because he doesn’t have a college degree.. really what does having a college degree prove… President Obama has one and he is as incompetent a President as we’ve ever had.. and if Howard Dean thinks having a college degree in some reality proves you’re smart.. well we submit to him as indisputable evidence to the contrary the following... “

Why Elites Think ‘Pro-America’ Is So Last Century

” Ibn Warraq, renowned scholar of Islam, recently spoke at Yale about U.S. foreign policy:

“ We are engaged in a war of ideas, with our principal enemy: an ideology….  Islamic terrorism is not caused by poverty, lack of education, sexual deprivation…or lack of economic opportunity…. There are two kinds of Jihad: terrorism, and slow penetration of Western institutions subverting Western laws and customs from within. Ignorance, naivety, arrogance, political correctness, sheer laziness, sentimentality…have led to Islamic successes in penetrating the universities, from the Voice of America, the Pentagon…PBS, to the universities and colleges where Islamic propaganda is shamelessly and openly disseminated.”

He likens the battle against Islamic radicals to the Cold War. But, he is mistaken in one sense. It was a proud and patriotic America that confronted the USSR. In the decades following World War II, most people in the United States were happy to celebrate our contributions to the defeat of Nazism and the liberation and restoration of Europe. Americans believed in themselves and their country.

Today, we have a president, and a younger generation, that views the U.S. through a different prism – one clouded by Vietnam, racial discord, and now the war with Iraq. It is “cool” to distrust and disdain the U.S., and the media feeds the skepticism. In covering the U.S. engagement in Afghanistan, for instance, news organizations have seldom reported on the military’s successes in building schools and providing basic services in that country; they prefer to zero in on instances of civilian casualties and misdeeds by our soldiers. The coverage leads us to doubt our military, and our morals.”

Watch This Pittsburgh Detective Steal A Man’s Money at 7-Eleven

” Another day, another American whose personal dealings with local police zap him of all faith in “the system”. Pittsburgh resident Robert Simpson was “the kind of guy who believes in the system” until a recent run-in with a greedy detective and a department uninterested in punishing him.

Last summer, Simpson accidently left an envelope containing $220 on a 7-Eleven counter after setting it there while he paid, according to CBS Pittsburgh.

When he returned, it was gone. He was sure he left it on the counter and talked to a clerk. “She told me at that point that if that’s the case, I can tell you exactly who took it because the cameras will show you,” he said. The surveillance video was reviewed and it showed that a few minutes earlier, city detective Michael Reddy allegedly took it.”

I think the detective’s story is hogwash , but the judge bought it , thus opening the eyes of another law-abiding citizen to the corruption inherent in the system . Read more at Reason

Reporter Blasts Clinton Royalty

” Nevada reporter Jon Ralston rips Hillary Clinton for demanding “royal treatment” in an upcoming visit to Las Vegas:

” The price of Hillary Clinton’s scheduled speech and UNLV fundraiser could be going up. Las Vegas Review Journal, which obtained Clinton’s contract with the UNLV Foundation, reports in addition to her speaking fee of $225,000, Clinton is demanding a private jet, a presidential suite and adjoining rooms for her entourage, and Clinton refuses to mingle with the common folk. She wants to approve any media types attending the event.

” And now, a word about royalty. We don’t have kings and queens in America, or at least we shouldn’t. But when I see the red carpet UNLV is rolling out for Hillary Clinton in two months I start to wonder. Unless you’re a mindless partisan, the details of that contract with the UNLV Foundation should disturb you. They were uncovered, as I said by the RJ’s Lara Myers, and published over the weekend. The contract reads as if Hillary is being given the, yes,  royal treatment. Now it is bad enough that the UNLV Foundation folks agreed to that outrageous $225,000 fee as students struggle to make ends meet.”

McConnell On Tea Party: ‘We Are Going To Crush Them Everywhere’

McConnell Crush Tea Party

” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) predicted that GOP incumbents would “crush” insurgent Tea Party-backed candidates in primaries this year.

“ I think we are going to crush them everywhere,” McConnell told The New York Times during an interview on Saturday. “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.”

McConnell added: “I know this: Politics doesn’t like losers. If you don’t have anything to point to, it is kind of hard to keep it going.” “

You’re right about one thing McConnell , politics doesn’t like losers … You and Boehner being perfect examples . Read more about where McConnell’s true allegiance lies here and be forewarned it is not with the people or fiscal responsibility …

Washington: A World Apart

Where The Money Is

This map highlights in yellow the nation’s Super Zips — those ranking highest on income and college education.
The largest collection of Super Zips is around Washington, D.C.

It should come as no surprise that the bulk of the nation’s income resides in the DC to Boston corridor but the fact that DC is ground zero for riches , even beyond Manhattan should be appalling to every average American .

” A Washington Post analysis of the latest census data shows that more than a third of Zip codes in the D.C. metro area rank in the top 5 percent nationally for income and education. But what makes the region truly unusual is that so many of the high-end Zip codes are contiguous. They form a vast land mass that bounds across 717 square miles. It stretches 60 miles from its northern tip in Woodstock, Md., to the southern end in Fairfax Station, and runs 30 miles wide from Haymarket in Prince William County to the heart of the District up to Rock Creek Parkway.

One in four households in the region are in a Super Zip, according to the Post analysis. Since the 2000 Census on which Murray based his analysis, Washington’s Super Zips have grown to encompass 100,000 more residents. Only the New York City area has more Super Zips, but they are a much smaller share of the total of that region’s Zip codes and are more scattered.

Zip codes are large swaths of territory, and people from many different walks of life live in them. But many Washington neighborhoods are becoming more economically homogenous as longtime homeowners move out and increasing housing prices prevent the less affluent from moving in. The eventual result, in many cases, is a Super Zip. And because the contiguous Super Zips are surrounded by areas that are almost as well-off, it’s possible to live in a Super Zip and rarely encounter others without college degrees or professional jobs.”

1. Washington

2. E. Manhattan

3. San Jose

4. Boston

5. Oakland

6. Bridgeport

7. Newark

8. Chicago

9. N. of Los Angeles

10. Long Island *(see below)

11. W. Manhattan

12. Trenton

13. Philadelphia

14. San Diego

15. S. of Los Angeles

Who controls these moneyed areas you ask ? Well , who do you think ? The party of the “common man” … LOL , Democrats all .

   * Long Island is harder to quantify given that it is a geographic area and not a municipality , but it is comprised of four different counties and we hereby provide the links to those which are also predominantly democratic in composition . The four counties/boroughs are Queens , Brooklyn aka Kings County , Nassau and Suffolk . Queens and Brooklyn being boroughs of the City of New York .

Nassau and Suffolk counties once Republican strongholds, these days see-saw back and forth between Republican and Democratic control but as the money from NYC spreads east once loyal republican districts are seeing their political make-up changed to be more in keeping with the statist agenda most commonly held in the city of NY .

It is certainly ironic that the majority of support for the “little people” resides in the gated communities that are actually  the bastions of wealth in this country .

Joblessness? Deficits? Wars? Let’s Party!

” Washington never looks more out of touch than it will this weekend, when movie stars, music moguls, media mavens and their advertisers join President Obama at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.”

” As we say in Washington, the dinner is “lousy optics” – rarely more so than Saturday night, when the backdrop will be joblessness, a budget deficit, the Boston Marathon bombing and a blood-red line in Syria.”

While we were unable to locate the guest list and menu for the 2013 affair , we did come across both for last year . This should give the reader some idea of the sacrifice the first family is enduring for you .

The 2012 Guest List:

The guest list seems to be lacking in actual journalists , doesn’t it ? Then again , the MSM is lacking in actual journalists as well .

The 2012 Menu :

” The White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner menu is a selection of four courses, chosen by the board out of a total of nine. Here is the planned menu:

Salad: Black lentil terrine with lump crabmeat; tango green and red artisan greens; red and yellow tear drop tomatoes, paired with a dill vinaigrette.

Break presentation: Seven-grain rolls; white and wheat rolls; sourdough rolls; flatbreads and butter.

Entree: Texas-rubbed petite filet with a calvados demi, paired with duo of jump shrimp seasoned with red curry, roasted haricot verts, baby pepper, patty pan squash, tasso mache choux risotto.

Dessert: The Galaxy–rich chocolate truffle mousse layered with chocolate genoise and almond macaroon; ganache truffle center finished in chocolate glaze, garnished with fresh raspberries.

Freshly brewed regular and decaf coffee: A variety of regular and herbal teas.

Wines: Estancia chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.”

As you can see things are tough all over . His Highness feels your pain .

Leftism Explained

Biden: “We Don’t Have Time to Enforce Existing Gun Laws, Let’s Add New Ones”

“The left is in love with laws and legislation. It adds more and more regulations to a giant pile that no one has any time to read, let alone enforce, so that enforcement is entirely selective.

New laws are passed and then ignored. Everyone is always guilty of something because of the sheer number of laws out there. And when the problem that the laws were created to solve continues, that’s justan excuse for bigger legislative overreaches

But this is classic liberalism. Some laws are important and some aren’t. And their priority changes at a given moment. Enforcing the unimportant ones is ridiculed, but enforcing the important ones becomes a matter of life and death.”

For the Little People

” One of the things I’ve always liked about the Democrats is their rhetoric about being the party of ordinary folks. A classic instance was the late Senator Paul Wellstone’s line about fighting for “the little fellers, not the Rockefellers.” Republicans, of course, would chaff Wellstone for collaborating with none other than Senator Jay . . . Rockefeller, on various liberal agenda items. As with a lot of political rhetoric on any part of the political spectrum, it helps to be reminded that the aw-shucks I’m-for-the-little-guy stuff is often just a pose. A few minutes ago, I saw a notable case in point: Rachel Maddow was mocking Mitt Romney for posing with mitten-shaped cookies on a visit to a Michigan bakery, which she contrasted with the same day’s images of our Cosmopolitan World Leader President grappling with issues of global significance on the world stage, encouraging (she implied) Russia’s Putin to turn back his helicopter-laden ships that were on their way to Syria . . .”
