Swiss Voters Narrowly Approve Immigration Quotas

” Voters in Switzerland on Sunday narrowly backed a plan to limit immigration, in a blow for the government after it had warned that the measure could harm the Swiss economy and relations with the European Union.

The move is seen by some as another sign of the anti-immigrant sentiment that has been brewing in several European countries over the years, fueled by anger over economies that have been stagnant since the global financial recession.

Swiss public television SRF reported that some 50.3 percent of voters backed a proposal by the nationalist People’s Party to introduce quotas for all types of immigrants. About 49.7 percent voted against the plan. The difference between the two sides was fewer than 30,000 votes, with a turnout of about 56 percent.

The decision means that the Swiss government will need to re-negotiate treaties on the free movement of workers that it had painstakingly hammered out with the EU. Switzerland is not a member of the EU, but until now, citizens from most EU member states could live and work in Switzerland with little formality, while Swiss citizens could do the same in the 28-nation bloc that encircles the Alpine nation.”

” After braving the cold and spending another night in Kiev’s Independence Square, pro-EU protesters warmed themselves up ahead of another day of demonstrations on Monday. The night before, around 300,000 outraged Ukrainians rallied in Maidan to protest, and around 5,000 camped in the square over night.

Yesterday, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan Füle announced on Twitter that negotiations with Ukraine on a trade pact had been halted, citing that ‘further discussion is conditioned on clear commitment to sign’. It is expected that tomorrow, Ukraine’s President Yanukovich will make a decision as to whether the country will resume negotiating an EU Association Agreement, or make a deal with Russia’s Customs Union.

Yankovich was expected to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union on November 29, however backed out last minute sparking weeks of mass demonstrations in Kiev, with thousands turning out daily to protest.”

Riot Police Take Off Their Helmets In Solidarity With Protesters

” In a rare demonstration of solidarity with the common man, Italian riot police are shown in this video removing their helmets and standing with anti-EU demonstrators in Turin, Italy.

Commoners from all walks of life, from truck drivers to students are out in the street, protesting the state of the Italian economy, the single currency and fuel prices.

The protests grew out of the “Pitchfork Movement,” begun by a group of Sicilian farmers demanding government reforms. It has evolved into a national rebellion against banks, the Italian tax collection agency, “Equitalia,” the European Union, and the Socialist-backed minority government.”

“CLIMATE CHANGE” LOOTERS WALK OUT OF WARSAW TALKS AFTER SHAKEDOWN ATTEMPT FAILS

” A little good news to start your day, in a follow-up to Monday’s report about the dour atmosphere at the Warsaw climate-change conference: it looks like the whole shebang has collapsed, as disappointed looters marched out of the conference with empty hands, having failed to sucker “rich” nations into another junk-science redistribution scheme.  From the UK Guardian:

Representatives of most of the world’s poor countries have walked out of increasingly fractious climate negotiations after the EU, Australia, the US and other developed countries insisted that the question of who should pay compensation for extreme climate events be discussed only after 2015.”

Mr Hayward gives the beggars what for as they flee , hats in hands , back under the rocks whence they came .

” In case the looters haven’t noticed, those “rich” nations are all mired in economic slowdowns and huge debt crises, both partly due to paying decades of tithe to the Church of Global Warming.  Margaret Thatcher’s prophesied day of reckoning, when the socialists run out of other people’s money to spend, has arrived.  They certainly don’t have money to burn on the global warming fantasy any more.

Also, the most effective way to guarantee that “poor” nations remain poor is to let their elites grab bales of other people’s money in redistribution schemes and stuff the loot into government slush funds, or numbered Swiss accounts.”

You gotta hand it to the Aussies , they certainly know how to avail an assemblage of the pomp and dignity that it so richly deserves .

” You’ve got to love the insouciant attitude of Australia toward the latest junk-science con job, in which the older developed nations would pay a stiff fine for daring to bring the benefits of the Industrial Revolution to mankind:

Australia was accused of not taking the negotiations seriously. “They wore T-shirts and gorged on snacks throughout the negotiation. That gives some indication of the manner they are behaving in,” said a spokeswoman for Climate Action Network.”

EU to Suspend US Data Sharing After Swift’s Interbank Messaging System Breach

” The European Union has threatened to suspend or even terminate the crucial EU-US Terrorist Finance Tracking Programme, after allegations that the US National Security Agency (NSA) spied on bank-to-bank messaging via the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (Swift) network.

More than 10,000 banking organisations, securities institutions, and corporate customers in 212 countries use Swift every day to exchange millions of standardised financial messages.

The NSA has been widely criticised over its surveillance programme that spied on politicians, bureaucrats, and businesses across the world via phone calls and internet activity.

The revelations about the NSA surveillance came from top-secret documents leaked by Edward Snowden, a former contractor at the agency, who is currently in exile in Russia.”

Judge Napolitano on Fox:

” The pressure to strike Syria is really heating up for President Obama (even if there now appears to be a way out), but it might not necessarily be legal to do so. Judge Andrew Napolitano reiterated as much to Shepard Smith on Tuesday, saying this time that if Obama strikes Syria, he could very well be declared a war criminal by the European Union.

Napolitano warned that if Obama proceeds anyway, the consequences could be particularly dire for him.

“The president runs the risk of being declared a war criminal by a magistrate in the EU…. If they indict him as a war criminal, an indictment for which there’s no statute of limitations, after he leaves the White House, he can’t go to Europe for fear of having to confront this.”

NSA Map Shows Germany Most Spied-On Of EU Members

A screenshot of the Boundless Informant tool released by Edward Snowden shows Germany in orange, representing the most spied upon country in the EU. (<a class="tpstyle" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jun/08/nsa-boundless-informant-global-datamining#">The Guardian</a>)

” While the United States spies on all European Union nations, it spies on Germany the most, say papers supplied by a former employee of the top U.S. spy agency.

The rankings of what EU nations are snooped on, and how much, can be seen in a color-coded map of covert National Security Agency surveillance activities, EUObserver.com reported Monday.

Nations subject to the least spying activities are shaded green; those with the most red.

All EU members are various shades of green on the map. Germany is orange.

The map, called Boundless Informant, is among documents released by Edward Snowden, a former CIA employee and NSA contractor who says he is the person who this month leaked information about the U.S. metadata collection program known as PRISM. “

Wealth Tax To Pay For EU Bail-Outs

” Senior advisers to Chancellor Angela Merkel are pushing for better-off households to pay towards the cost of any future bail-outs for the weaker members of the single currency.

The proposals, from members of Germany’s council of economic experts, raise the prospect of taxes being imposed on property in a country like Spain if its government was forced to seek a bail-out.

The council, known as the “Five Wise Men”, is often used to test new policies that are later adopted officially.

The German suggestion is the latest sign that Berlin is intent on imposing even tougher rules on weaker southern euro members in exchange for using its economic might to support their finances.

As well as inflaming tensions between Germany and its smaller southern partners, the suggestion could also mean that Britons with holiday homes are dragged deeper into the eurozone crisis.”

Kremlin: EU and US Are Preparing For The Largest Theft Of Private Wealth In Modern History

” Embassies around the world received an “urgent bulletin” today from Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The MFA is strongly urging Russian citizens and businesses to pull their money from Western financial institutions immediately, at the request of  Russian  Prime MinisterDmitry Medvedev.

The EU Times also reports that some recent suspicious actions by President Barack Obama could be indicative of plans falling into place.

Interesting to note is that the Obama regime’s “master plan” to steal their citizen’s wealth that is no longer protected was detailed by the global management consulting giant, and the world’s leading advisor on business strategy, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) who in their 2011 September report titled Collateral Damage: Back to Mesopotamia? The Threat of Debt Restructuring warned of the US governments plan confiscate up to 30% of not just the Americans people bank accounts, but also of their other wealth.”

If you’re wondering why the news in America doesn’t mention the possibility that  20-30% of your savings could be confiscated, keep in mind that the mainstream media will not be benefitted by providing this information. The MSM is a tool of the government, the wealthy, and the special interest groups – all of whom will be exempt from these outright thefts of funds.”

Cyprus Depositor Haircut: 25% Off the Top for the Rich

” Cyprus said on Saturday it was looking at seizing a quarter of the value of big deposits at its largest bank as it races to raise the funds for a bailout from the European Union and avert financial collapse.

Finance Minister Michael Sarris said “significant progress” had been made in talks in Nicosia with officials from the European Union, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund.

He confirmed discussions were centered on a possible levy of around 25 percent on holdings of over 100,000 euros at Bank of Cyprus, and expressed hope that a package could be ready by the end of the day for approval by parliament.”
