Sinise-4

” Gary Sinise, the Washington Free Beacon 2013 Man of the Year and the actor who appeared in the movie “Forrest Gump” as Lt. Dan, brought 50 wounded warriors to Disney World earlier this month as part of the Gary Sinise Foundation. The foundation helps military families and first-responders:

The service members – each could bring a guest – had surprises along the way – including a trip to Paramount Studios and a red-carpet welcome at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Anaheim. Celebrities, including Tim Allen, greeted them in Hollywood. Tom Hanks, who played Forrest Gump, introduced a showing of the 1994 movie.”

IRS Targets Hollywood Conservatives

” A conservative group in Hollywood, shrouded in secrecy for fear of a backlash from powerful movie industry liberals, is being investigated by the Internal Revenue Service after applying for tax-exempt status.

Friends of Abe has attempted to stay under the radar and is fiercely determined to protect the identity of its 1,500 members, The New York Times reports

But now the group has come under the scrutiny of the IRS after the federal agency requested information about its meetings with politicians including 2012 vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan, former Michigan Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, and 2012 presidential hopeful Herman Cain, according to anonymous sources who have inside knowledge of the probe.”

Well deserved praise for a 21st Century Bob Hope from the American Thinker .

” With the exceptions of Bob Hope and Martha Raye, there may be no other American entertainer who has served our armed forces more. That person is Gary Sinise, actor, director, producer writer, musician, a bit of a down home, foot-shuffling, aw-shucks guy from the Midwest who has probably spent as much time in war zones as many members of our over-worked military, and certainly more than any Member of Congress. Sinise is one of those rare humans who is easy to sum up in quick terms: a really good guy. Or if you wish to add accolades as I’m sure many in the military would: a really damned good guy, among many other unpublishable terms of praise.”
