Spare Us The Gun Lecture, Harvey

Bowling For Columbine

” Remember “Bowling for Columbine”?

The anti-gun documentary that attempted to politicize the tragic school shooting at Columbine, Colorado, was wildly successful, both critically and commercially, and even won its writer/director, Michael Moore, an Oscar.

But while the film was certainly entertaining, and may have even got some folks thinking about gun violence, it did little to move the needle on its presumptive goal: curbing gun ownership and weakening the National Rifle Association.

That’s because gun owners and the powerful lobby that represents them don’t care what Hollywood thinks of them, a lesson producer Harvey Weinstein will learn soon.”

Hollywood Hypocrites – Producer Vows To Destroy National Rifle Assoc – Sen Ted Cruz On The Record

” In an interview with Greta Van Susteren on Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) outlined the hypocrisy of anti-gun movie producer Harvey Weinstein, who has cashed in on countless films depicting graphic gun violence. Weinstein revealed earlier this week that he is making a “big movie” featuring Meryl Streep that will make the National Rifle Association “wish they weren’t alive.”

“ The Hollywood liberal elites, they have their view of things,” Cruz said with a grin after watching a montage of violent scenes from Weinstein films.

The Texas Republican referenced a scene in “Kill Bill,” saying “you don’t see people wanting to ban knives.” “

Harvey Weinstein And Meryl Streep New Movie To Make NRA ‘Wish They Weren’t Alive

” Movie producer Harvey Weinstein announced for the first time on Howard Stern’s radio show that he is making a full feature drama to try to destroy the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Stern asked Mr. Weinstein on Wednesday whether he owned a gun. The Hollywood heavyweight replied that he did not and never would. “I don’t think we need guns in this country. And I hate it,” the producer said. “I think the NRA is a disaster area.”

Mr. Weinstein then revealed his secret project about the gun rights group. “I shouldn’t say this, but I’ll tell it to you, Howard,” he said. “I’m going to make a movie with Meryl Streep, and we’re going to take this head-on. And they’re going to wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.”

The shock jock asked whether the film was going to be a documentary. Mr. Weinstein said no, that it would be a “big movie like a ‘Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.’” “

From 100 Percent FED Up

” A group of ex-soldiers are buying TV ads attacking President Barack Obama that will run during the first showing of a pro-Obama movie created by his Hollywood backers.

The made-for-TV movie, “Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden,” is slated to run Nov. 4 on the National Geographic Channel. It was produced by Obama supporter and mega-donor Harvey Weinstein.

Weinstein reportedly ordered that the film be re-edited to give Obama a central role in directing the daring raid that successfully killed Osama bin Laden. Weinstein’s movie is so pro-Obama that National Geographic refused to run until Weinstein removed a scene portraying Gov. Mitt Romney as an opponent of the strike.”
