SWAT Team Sent To Lil Wayne’s Miami Home In Apparent Hoax

” A SWAT team arrived at Lil Wayne‘s Miami home Wednesday afternoon after reports of gunshots and injuries. But despite a scan of Wayne’s property, the team found no signs of foul play following the hour-plus search. Miami police representative Ernesto Rodriguez has confirmed that the event was a hoax.

Whether the hoax was a straightforward prank call or an intentional ploy to send over a SWAT team remains unclear. The practice is increasingly common between online gamers, but if this was an intentional “swatting,” Lil Wayne is the highest-profile celebrity to fall victim to the practice. “

Facebook Copyright Hoax Goes Viral Again

” A fake Facebook copyright message claiming to protect users’ media has once again been making the rounds on the social network.

The message claims to put copyright protections on a user’s posts after they share the status update.

  It typically reads:

” In response to the new Facebook guidelines, I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, comics, paintings, professional photos and videos, etc. (as a result of the Berner Convention). For commercial use of the above my written consent is needed at all times!”

Here’s the thing: Facebook doesn’t own your posts. Under the social network’s privacy policy, they have the right to distribute and share the things a user posts, subject to their privacy and application settings. (Check out Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities here.)

The hoax doesn’t even have its facts right. A quick Google search will also show that there’s is no such thing as the Berner Convention. (Whoever originated it probably meant to write the Berne convention, which is an international agreement protecting literary and artistic works).

So breathe a big sigh of relief. Your Facebook profile is fine. If anything, use this as an opportunity to double check your privacy settings by clicking on the lock icon in the upper-right corner of your profile.”

‘Human Skull Found In Mars’ Hoax: Is It Alien Bones, UFO, Or Just Another Rock?

” A recently discovered NASA photograph of what looks like a human skull lying on the surface of Mars has intrigued many people with a lot of buzz on social media platforms.

The image was reportedly taken by the panoramic camera on the Spirit rover in the planet a few years ago, but gained notice recently after the Paranormal Crucible website posted a YouTube video of the image with digital alterations to make it look even more like a skull.

Although the digitally altered picture of the image appears to push the theory that Alien creatures could have lived in the red planet, the image itself does not seem to be convincing enough to draw any conclusion. Many would only argue that it is nothing more than just another rock in the planet.”

Weather Channel Founder Explains The History Of The Global Warming Hoax

” John Coleman, an award-winning meteorologist and weatherman with sixty years of experience and founder of the Weather Channel, produced a video explaining the history of the man-made global warming hoax .

Coleman, a former broadcast meteorologist of the year of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), explains that after being a member for several years, he quit the AMS after it became very clear to him that “the politics had gotten in the way of the science.” Coleman explains that there is no man-made global warming, and he’s sure of it.

Coleman says that if there were evidence of man-made global warming, he would have been dedicated his life to stopping it:

“ I love our wonderful planet Earth. If I thought it was threatened by global warming, I would devote my life to stopping the warming!”

Now they call it “climate change” instead of global warming, because the warming has stopped, says Coleman, and that $4.7 billion in taxpayer money is funding “bogus reports” and “bogus research.”  “

I’m Gonna Quash That Mann Right Out Of My Hair

” Guest-hosting for Rush a few days ago, I said if your kid is graduating from high school this week there has been no global warming his entire life. And immediately the usual drama queens emailed that I was a know-nothing denialist. But, just to nail it down, there has been no global warming for 17 years and nine months. That’s since September 1996. The High School Class of 2014 has been blessed to have lived its entire life in a warming-free world.

We’re supposed to ignore this nigh-on-two-decade warming “pause” because the “97 per cent scientific consensus” tell us to. But, as Richard Tol’s new paper argues, that 97 per cent consensus is no more real than the rampant global warming. In fact, there’s so little consensus that the only consensus the Geological Society of Australia can agree on is a press release saying there’s no consensus:

AUSTRALIA’S peak body of earth scientists has declared itself unable to publish a position statement on climate change due to the deep divisions within its membership on the issue.

After more than five years of debate and two false starts, Geological Society of Australia president Laurie Hutton said a statement on climate change was too difficult to achieve.”

Reported Shooting A Hoax By Online Gamer

Long Beach SWAT Raid

” The action became very real for a 17-year-old Long Beach resident who was playing the video game Call of Duty on Tuesday, after a bitter online opponent called police and falsely claimed that the teen had fatally shot his mother and brother in his Laurelton Boulevard home.

Long Beach Police Commissioner Michael Tangney said that the teenager had just won a round of the popular online multi-player shooter game. But when a losing rival claiming to be the teen called police to report the bogus incident, it prompted a massive responseincluding a fully armed Nassau County SWAT team with an armored vehicle and a helicopter unit — to what was initially believed to be a multiple shooting and hostage situation.

Tangney said that when police arrived at the house at around 3 p.m., 17-year-old Long Beach High School student Rafael Castillo was still playing the game on Xbox while wearing a headset and had no idea what was happening outside.”

It was one mighty expensive hoax phone call …

” “He was quite stunned — he was very shaken up by it,” Tangney said, adding that the police response could cost roughly $100,000.

More than 50 county, Long Beach and MTA police officers, and firefighters responded to the home. Nearby streets were blocked off as numerous police vehicles rushed to scene. The standoff lasted more than an hour and attracted crowds of onlookers who milled about, saying that they learned about the incident on social media.”

Jon Stewart Goes Off On Perhaps The Best Political Scandal Of All Time

” There are scandals, and there are SCANDALS. And the story of an EPA official who cheated the agency out of a million dollars with an incredibly elaborate hoax might very well be, in Jon Stewart‘s opinion, one of the most amazing and unbelievable political scandals of all time.”

Obama Fainting – Karmel Allison Was Not the First Staged Fainting, She Was the 7th.

” So, many of us have seen or heard the news about Karmel Allison, the pregnant woman in a bright red dress, who stared off into space as she wobbled back and forth behind Barack Obama during his speech about the train wreck that is socialized medicine (aka Obamacare) in the Rose Garden on Monday. Well, this isn’t the first time this has been staged. Yes, I said staged. These things seem to be a common occurrence when Obama is around. To make the point, TeamWakeEmUp has put together a little clip in which Obama attempts to stop the show and demonstrate how compassionate he is by making sure the person is OK. Usually a bottle of water, not health insurance, is all that is needed.

But, hey the fun doesn’t stop with Obama. No, no. To put on the fakery of compassion and caring for the little peasants, Queen Hillary apparently taught Obama everything he knows about playing the“faint” card.”

Police Say Liberal Student Activist Threatened Herself With Rape In Facebook Hoax, Framed Conservatives

” A well-known female liberal blogger and radio host at the University of Wyoming (UW) is being accused by police of fabricating a rape threat against herself to appear as if it came from a conservative.

The obscene message directed at activist Meg Lanker-Simons was posted on a college “crush” Facebook page earlier this week and immediately ignited outrage from the college community.

“I want to hate f**k Meg Lanker-Simons so hard. That chick that runs her liberal mouth all the time and doesn’t care who knows it,” it read.  “I think its hot and it makes me angry. One night with me and shes gonna be a good Republican bitch,” the post reads, according to a screenshot.”

Viral photo: Naked Woman Chases Naked Man With Sex Doll In China

“As far as photos going viral these ones could be said to show just the bare facts. Somehow photos of a naked man running in Beijing while carrying a naked female mannequin and being chased by a real naked woman – whew! – has hit the internet in China.

Some Chinese viewers think the photos are a hoax, others, Li said, feel they might be connected to an American game popular in China called ‘Temple Run’, which she describes as “a popular game where a player takes on the role of an explorer attempting to steal an idol from a temple and outrun monsters chasing from behind.” Monsters?”

WASHINGTON POST FALLS FOR HOAX PALIN STORY, PALIN HITS BACK ON TWITTER

” This has been a good week for those of us at war with the media. Late last week, many of the same elite media members who attempt to falsely link conservatives to every imaginable tragedy (most notably, Sarah Palin), found their own names approvingly mentioned in a suspected mass-murderer’s manifesto. And then, just this morning,Washington Post contributor Suzi Parker (that’s her photo below — isn’t she precious? — is Rachel Maddow missing a pair of “smart girl” glasses?) made a very public spectacle of herself.

In a blog post snarkily titled “Sarah Palin’s plan to reach ‘millions of devoutly religious people’ through al-Jazeera,” Parker used the Web pages of the once-legendaryWashington Post to spread the incredible news that Palin had joined Al-Jazeera. This news was then used by Parker as the basis for a piece of left-wing smuggery that ripped Palin for being so desperate to stay relevant. “

Hacker Warns Of Zombie Apocalypse

Zombie Apocalypse Hacker

” A hacker apparently got into the emergency alert system in Maine and issued a warning of dead bodies rising from graves and attacking the living. People in the area called the police to make sure it wasn’t real, lol.

This message did not originate from KRTV, and there is no emergency,” the station said. “Our engineers are investigating to determine what happened and if it affected other media outlets.” ”

Fake Dead Girlfriends And
Fake Debt Limits

image

” I was out of the country for a few
days, and news from this great republic reached me only fitfully. I have learned to be wary of foreign reporting of U.S. events, since America can come off sounding faintly deranged. Much of what reached me didn’t sound entirely plausible: Did the entire U.S.
media really fall for the imaginary dead girlfriend of a star football player? Did the president of the United States really announce 23 executive orders by reading out
the policy views of carefully prescreened grade-schoolers (“I want everybody to be happy and safe”)? Clearly, these vicious
rumors were merely planted in the foreign press to make the United States appear ridiculous. “

Notre Dame Star Manti Te’o Never Had a Dead Girlfriend

” Inspirational, right? Well, hold onto your Rudy hats and Coach Carter DVDs. It looks like Manti was flubbing the truth about the events surrounding the Michigan game.

Deadspin reports that although Manti’s grandmother did pass away, his girlfriend did not. In fact, his girlfriend might not have ever existed.

Let’s take a step back. Manti’s girlfriend was supposedly named Lennay Kekua and was a Stanford student. The South Bend Tribune even wrote an article about the young couple in which it said they met while in college. The Tribune reported that Lennay was multi-lingual and had a knack for music.

The two met in 2009 but did not start going out until 2012. That is when Lennay’s story line gets somewhat blurry. Somewhere in 2012 she gets into a car accident, then somewhere in 2012 she gets leukemia and then on September 12 she dies. Te’o did not attend the funeral because (as reported by the LA Times) Kekua insisted that Te’o never should miss a game. ”

… That Changes All Lives

” Christiana Figueres, who leads the United Nations negotiations to cut greenhouse gas emissions, described the climate change she seeks as a world-encompassing “revolution” engineered by “centralized” governments.

“We are inspiring government, private sector, and civil society to [make] the biggest transformation that they have ever undertaken,” Figueres, executive secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, said in an interview published by The Guardian last week.”
