Indonesian Police Get Residents High With Marijuana Bonfire

” Police in Indonesia set fire to more than 3 tons of marijuana, inadvertently causing several witnesses and nearby residents to get high from the smoke.

Palmerah police set fire to 3.6 tons of marijuana in a field outside their West Jakarta office March 11, and several reporters and other witnesses reported dizziness and other effects associated with marijuana consumption.

Some residents living nearby the station reported the smoke wafted into their windows and caused intoxicating effects.”

Secretary Of State Kerry Lashes Out At Climate Change Skeptics

” U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Sunday called climate change perhaps the world’s “most fearsome” destructive weapon and mocked those who deny its existence or question its causes, comparing them to people who insist the Earth is flat.

In a speech to Indonesian students, civic leaders and government officials, Kerry tore into climate change skeptics. He accused them of using shoddy science and scientists to delay steps needed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases at the risk of imperiling the planet.”

‘Anonymous Indonesia’ Attacks Australian Websites

” A hacking group calling itself Anonymous Indonesia claims to have attacked over 170 Australian sites, following reports of Australian spying.

The sites affected seemed to belong primarily to small businesses.

On Friday, Indonesia summoned Australia’s ambassador amid reports that its Jakarta embassy was used as part of a US-led spying network.

The reports were based on a US National Security Agency document leaked by whistleblower Edward Snowden.”

While we understand the need to protest government spying and generally support Anonymous in these efforts , striking privately held small businesses would seem to be counter-productive .

It’s All About The “Optics”

” President Barack Obama called off plans to visit Asia and attend two summits because of the U.S. government shutdown, raising questions about the strategic “pivot” to the region that he announced just two years ago.

Obama had planned to depart on Saturday for a four-nation, week-long trip. He canceled visits to Malaysia and the Philippines earlier this week because of his budget struggle in the U.S. Congress and said late on Thursday he would not attend the regional summits in Indonesia and Brunei.

The political standoff over the U.S. budget has shut down non-essential government services and appeared likely to drag on for another week or longer. Another crisis looms in two weeks when lawmakers must decide whether to increase the U.S. government’s $16.7 trillion debt borrowing limit.

“The president made this decision based on the difficulty in moving forward with foreign travel in the face of a shutdown, and his determination to continue pressing his case that Republicans should immediately allow a vote to reopen the government,” the White House said.”

Which Country Has The World’s Most Pirate-Infested Waters?

” Somali waters are no longer the most heavily pirated in the world, according to a recent CNBC investigation. Global piracy is becoming increasingly problematic for governments, shipping firms, cruise lines, mariners and energy companies.”

” Based on International Maritime Bureau’s Piracy Reporting Centre (IMB) data, Somalia and Gulf of Aden still have pirate-infested waters, but over the last five quarters, a new country’s national waters have become the most heavily pirated on earth.”

” Indonesia’s 17,500 islands and their surrounding waters now take the title as the world’s most heavily pirated.”

Plane Crashes Into The Sea In Bali

” An Indonesian official says all passengers and crew have survived after a Lion Air plane overshot the runway at a Bali airport and crashed into the sea.

The Lion Air Boeing 737 jet, carrying more than 130 passengers, crashed at Denpasar’s main airport on Saturday evening.

Indonesian Transport Ministry spokesman Herry Bhakti says everyone on board the plane survived.

Amateur vision on the internet shows the plane cracked in two and safety slides deployed.

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has told the ABC it believes no Australians were among the passengers.

The Indonesian Government had earlier said all 172 passengers were safe.”

Obama Eligibility

” Chief Justice John Roberts has scheduled Case Regarding Obama’s Forged IDs to be Heard in Conference Before the Full Supreme Court.

There are a few big news stories this upcoming week: one is the “State of the Union” address, which could be said in just a couple descriptive words, one would be “CHAOTIC” one would be “PATHETIC” and that is all we’d need to hear. It would suffice for four more years.

Another BIG news story is being patently ignored; and that is a case that will be heard in conference before the full Supreme Court regarding the forged identities used by the POTUS.

NOT A PEEP. THIS is further proof of what you already knew…the media is TOTALLY COMPLIANT.

This is his Social Security number: SSN 042-68-4425 which will not pass E-Verify.

It will be interesting to see if the mainstream media EVER reports on this case.”
