Corzine Charged In Connection With Misuse Of Customer Funds

” A US regulator has filed civil charges against Jon Corzine, former chief executive of MF Global, and Edith O’Brien, its former assistant treasurer, in connection with the misuse of nearly $1bn of customer funds before the brokerage’s 2011 collapse.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission said in a complaint filed in the Southern District of New York that Mr Corzine “failed to supervise diligently the activities of MF Global’s officers, employees, and agents”.”

” Mr Corzine was chief executive of MF Global when it collapsed on October 31 2011. A $1.6bn hole in customer funds developed after the brokerage allegedly dipped into clients’ accounts to make up for part of its own shortfall.

“The allegations in our complaint serve as a stark reminder that we will enforce the law against responsible individuals at all levels of a firm to ensure that customer funds are properly safeguarded every minute of every day,” David Meister, the CFTC’s enforcement director, said in a statement.”

Harry Reid, Jon Corzine And Other Cronies That Got Away In 2012

” When businesses and big government politicians go into “business” with one another, taxpayers lose—big time. It’s called cronyism.

A “crony” is an individual or organization that colludes with politicians to gain unfair treatment, taxpyer-funded benefits, or regulations that the rest of us don’t enjoy. Cronyism occurs because politicians rely on wealthy interests to fund their campaigns, and those donors then seek government goodies or favors in return.

It’s a match made in heaven for cronies and hell for taxpayers. Just as bad, such cronyism erodes economic freedom by destroying the real competition that fuels free market capitalism.

In 2012, the cronies had a banner year, poaching billions of taxpayer dollars to pump up their profits and redistribute their losses.

In 2012, the cronies had a banner year, poaching billions of taxpayer dollars to pump up their profits and redistribute their losses. In other instances, the cronies leveraged their insider connections to evade prosecutions and skirt the laws that apply to the rest of us. Consider just a few of the cronies that got away in 2012.

1. Jon Corzine, former MF Global Chief, New Jersey Governor, and Top Obama Bundler.”

NHTSA To Push Mandatory Data Recorders In Cars

This little gadget will allow the government to keep tabs on your every movement in your “private” automobile , and at the low , low cost of only $4-5000.00 per vehicle .

” If you bought a car within the past few years, chances are it’s spying on you. Devices known as event data recorders (EDR) tap into your car’s network of sensors, and dump a stream of data in the event of a crash—including the vehicle’s speed, throttle/brake pedal position, and seat belt use.

Historically, the issue of who owns EDR data and who can access it has been left up to the states, with only a dozen enacting laws regarding EDR data use. But today, the AP reports, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will propose regulations mandating automakers to install event data recorders on all new vehicles—turning EDR data ownership into a national issue.

Like any information-gathering technology, EDR is a double-edged sword. While it can help detect accidents and call for help, as well as provide auto engineers with a bevy of data to improve crash safety, its information has also been used against drivers. In one example in 2007, EDR data revealed that the driver carrying then-Gov. Jon Corzine of New Jersey in a Chevy Suburban was traveling 91 mph before it struck a white pickup and critically injured Corzine. ”

“‘We Plan To Pursue Criminal
Charges Against Jon Corzine
In All 50 States’ (Video)”

“Crimes were unequivocally committed and I will do whatever I can to continue to do the government’s job for it and help see justice done.”

“MF Global had a choice. Do we cheat or go out of business. And they cheated. They broke the law. And these took these customer funds to cover margin calls.”

“Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice is the biggest enabler of financial crime in U.S. history.” “

A National Wall of Shame

“What we need is a National Wall of Shame. A distinguished group of citizens, led perhaps by General Stan McChrystal, would serve as the
“admissions committee.” $25 million would be allocated for the acquisition of the site and the
construction of the wall itself. And on that wall would go the names of those whose actions brought disgrace upon the United States of

Like Solyndra , MF Global and Jon Corzine need to be sung from the rooftops from now till November as perfect examples of the “transparency” and “ethics” of the present administration . Shame . Shame .

“Jon Corzine stole from his customers. Until Corzine is put on trial in a court of law, no one will be able to get to the truth. He is being protected by the party in charge. The political waters are so virulent that they don’t want to see him tried. The event happened last October. Surely there is enough information available to convene a grand jury and begin indicting people. The public is being played. We are schmucks.”
