Tuberculosis Infects 27 At Kansas City Area High School

” Nearly 30 people have tested positive for tuberculosis at a Kansas City-area high school, officials confirmed Wednesday.

That’s about 10 percent of the 300 tested after one person tested positive at Olathe Northwest High School last week, KSHB reports. Officials have not confirmed who may have been the original carrier of the disease.

Tuberculosis is an airborne bacteria that usually attacks the lungs. It’s typically spread when a person coughs, sneezes, speaks or sings, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”

The reader must scroll way down to get to the heart of the matter:

” In the U.S., there are about 9,500 TB cases each year, of which about 500 die. A majority of U.S. cases come from foreign-born persons, according to the CDC.”

Surprise , surprise … another gift from Obama’s Open Borders policy and his quest for the “permanent democratic majority” … read on

Watch The World’s Tallest Water Slide Test Its First Human Riders

” The Verrückt, the world’s tallest water slide, has finally started testing with real, live humans. And the first drop in this POV footage is absolutely terrifying.

Located in Kansas City, Schlitterbahn water park has been pushing back the big unveiling of their monster slide (The Verrückt) again and again. But this video with slide’s engineers taking the first human ride gives us hope that it may just be safe enough for the public soon.”

” Here are the facts. The Verrückt is 168 feet and 7 inches tall. The Statue of Liberty (from toes to the tip of the flame) is only 151 feet. It’s also taller than Niagara Falls. You have to climb up 264 steps to get to the top of the 17-story slide. It’s expected to hit speeds of up to 65 miles-per-hour. And when you ride you must be velcro strapped into a very large raft (which is good because you would have no butt if you did this bare bottomed). ‘

Feds Investigate After Effigy Of Obama Found Hanging From I-70 Bridge

” The Secret Service has joined the investigation after an effigy of President Barack Obama was found hanging from a highway bridge.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Sharp said sheriff’s deputies handled the initial call after someone hung a dummy wearing a full suit and a mask of the president off the highway bridge.

Authorities were notified at 5:30 a.m. Monday about an object hanging from the Lesholz Bridge over Interstate 70 near Grain Valley, which is about 20 miles east of Kansas City. The effigy was hanging from the westbound side of the interstate.

Sharp said the sheriff’s office received three 911 calls. The callers thought an actual person was hanging from the bridge.

” It’s still dark at 5:30am. All they could see was the outline of what appeared to be a body,” he said.

Authorities shut down the highway while they investigated an item attached to the dummy that prompted them to call an Independence area bomb and arson squad.

However, no explosives were found on the effigy.”

Kansas Lawmakers OK Bill To Void Local Gun Rules

Kansas-bill-will-prohibit-local-gun-laws-img

” Kansas legislators gave final approval Saturday to a bill that would nullify city and county gun restrictions and ensure that it’s legal across the state to openly carry firearms, a measure the National Rifle Association sees as a nationwide model for stripping local officials of their gun-regulating power.

The House approved the legislation, 102-19, a day after the Senate passed it, 37-2. The measure goes next to Republican Gov. Sam Brownback. He hasn’t said whether he’ll sign it, but he’s a strong supporter of gun rights and has signed other measures backed by the NRA and the Kansas State Rifle Association.

Kansas law doesn’t expressly forbid the open carrying of firearms, and the attorney general’s office has in the past told local officials that some restrictions are allowed. The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kan., has prohibited the practice, but the bill would sweep any such ban away, except to allow cities and counties to prevent openly carried weapons inside public buildings.”

6-Year-Old Boy Is A SEAL For A Day At Missouri Training Center

” Mason Rudder peppered bullets from a fully automatic M4 rifle into a car, charged through a field while firing an AR-15, and helped build and set off a wall bomb that blew the door off a building.

Though Mason is no war hero, he got to feel like one Sunday. He is 6 years old and dreams of joining the Navy SEALs.”

MASON RUDDER SEAL

” Mason’s parents, George and Suzanne Rudder, former St. Louis County residents who now live near Kansas City, surprised Mason for his birthday by driving across the state to a tactical training center near Farmington, Mo., to shoot and train with a former member of the Navy SEALs.

“ He didn’t know until today,” said Suzanne Rudder, 36. “I think he was just stunned when we got here.”

Mason was born with a genetic disorder (Escobar syndrome) that causes limited movement and a decreased range of motion, his parents say. Mason is about 3½ feet tall and weighs just 32 pounds. Mason’s sister, Haley, 7, also has the disorder; their brother, Collin, 9, does not.”

Firefighter Gunned Down, Killed By Cop Just Hours After His Wedding

” Anthony Bruno, a six-year veteran firefighter hailed as “courageous and dedicated” by his Chief, has now died after being shot in the chest by a police officer.

Bruno was a six-year third-generation firefighter who had been with the fire department since 2008, praised by his chief and his peers.

Tragically, the killing happened just hours after Bruno was married, destroying the future he and his new wife had planned. Bruno, who was in his 20′s, leaves behind his wife, his family, and his fellow firefighters.

Bruno had been out celebrating his marriage with friends and family, according to reports.”

This senseless killing happened in December with the investigation culminating in the usual exoneration of the cop by the cops , who finally released this video to the public.

Cops: “If We Have To Get A Warrant…We’re Gonna Shoot And Kill Your Dogs”

” Eric Crinnian, an attorney in Kansas City, Missouri, says police came to his door looking for parole violators, and got upset when he refused them permission to tramp through his house and paw through his possessions. In fact, he claims, one cop went so far as to threaten to shoot his dogs if he made them abide by the requirements of the law by getting a search warrant to look through his home. Remarkably, a criminal justice professor says the police actions may not be illegal, though they could be awkward in court.”

Then he said one police officer started threatening him saying, “If we have to get a warrant, we’re going to come back when you’re not expecting it, we’re going to park in front of your house, where all your neighbors can see, we’re gonna bust in your door with a battering ram, we’re gonna shoot and kill your dogs, who are my family, and then we’re going to ransack your house looking for these people.” “

It gets even worse …

” But Missouri has a statute that defines a “credible threat…against the life of, or a threat to cause physical injury to, or the kidnapping of, the person, the person’s family, or the person’s household members or domestic animals or livestock” as aggravated stalking and might fit the bill in this situation. However, that law explicitly exempts law enforcement officers “conducting investigations of violation of federal, state, county, or municipal law,” which is more than a little disturbing.

Really? It’s OK to threaten people’s lives, their family, and their pets if you’re a cop? “

When did the average cops go from being friends and part of the neighborhood , welcomed by all , to bullying storm troopers who represent overbearing State intimidation and coercion ?
