Ex-Cop Who Shot Man In Movie Theater For Texting Was Also Texting

Curtis Reeves

” This past January, Curtis Reeves, a former Tampa police officer, shot and killed a man who refused to stop texting during a matinee showing of Lone Survivor. As it turns out, Reeves was texting from the same theater just before his deadly confrontation with the man.

Reeves’ son told police that moments before the shooting, he received a text from his father, letting him know where he was seated inside the theater. Several minutes later, as the son, Matthew Reeves, looked through the theater for his parents, Reeves killed 43-year-old Chad Oulson, who was reportedly texting with his young daughter at home. Oulson’s wife was also wounded in the attack.”

The Best (And Worst) War Movies Of All Time

” War movies have been around as long as cinema has existed. There is something about the horror, bravery, tragedy, and excitement of combat that has inspires filmmakers and put butts in the seats. By our thinking, a good war movie says something specific to the conflict it purports to represent. Historical accuracy is also a plus, but it’s easy to forgive some errors in the face of a good plot or overall effectiveness of a film. We limited our list to conflicts in which the U.S. fought, and we skipped a few, such as Kosovo or Grenada, that didn’t inspire many films. Of course, let us know what movies we’re missing.”

Worst Korean War Movie: MASH (1970)

” There are not many movies about the Korean War. So it’s annoying that perhaps the most famous one doesn’t actually focus on the conflict. MASH riffs on Vietnam while setting the battlefield hospital in Korea. The helicopter, introduced in Korea as a way to get casualties to hospitals, became an icon of the Vietnam War. The tales of cynical, world-weary doctors who misbehave, save lives, and gripe about the folly of war were comments on the war of the time, not the Korean conflict. The movie is much better than the TV show, though, and has an intriguing mix of comedy and bloody surgery. But these positives do not make MASH a great war movie or even a great antiwar movie. Its attitude and willingness to shock the establishment feel stuck in its time.”

SEAL: Nobody That Wears A Navy SEAL Trident Is A Fan Of Obama Or Hillary

Published on Jan 19, 2014

” Judge Pirro spoke with fmr Navy SEAL Christopher Mark Heben over the criticism Marcus Luttrell’s “Lone Survivor” is receiving from the left and crap media. The left seem to question the events and the mission not understanding the purpose of the SEALs. They aren’t primarily there to nation build and be peacemakers, as Heben points out SEALs are the “nation’s a 911 response team… to make a person place or thing disappear”!
The discussion moved into Benghazi coverup where Heben made it clear the administration is positioning Hillary for her 2016 presidential run. This when he made a very clear statement that we the people can be thankful to hear “…let me make something very clear: nobody that wears a Navy SEAL Trident on their chest.. nobody is a fan of Obama, nobody is a fan of Hillary Clinton period” He then closes saying he and other former SEALs are planning to “expound upon everything that is out there right now on Benghazi”. “

Donna Axelson Interview

Here is an excerpt .

” Later in the interview, Steve Doocy asked for her opinion on some criticism of the movie, with some on the left characterizing it as “war propaganda.”

” Hogwash. Marcus [Luttrell] has been very careful about not bringing politics into this at all. This is just a story about what our military men do. Because as an all-volunteer military, these are men and women who want to do this, who believe in America and want to protect us from additional 9/11 kinds of attacks. It has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the courage and bravery of our military men and women,” she said.”

Former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell Opens Up About The Film Adaptation Of His Bestselling Book Lone Survivor

Marcul Lutrell Blaze

” On tonight’s Glenn Beck Program, Glenn welcomed his good friend, former Navy SEAL and author Marcus Luttrell and his wife Melanie for an emotional conversation about his bestselling book and now critically acclaimed film Lone Survivor. Glenn, who attended the premiere of the film with Marcus, has called it the greatest war film he has ever seen.

While Hollywood is certainly not known for being a pro-military community, the movie adaptation of Lone Survivor offers a very real look into the tragic story of Operation Redwing. A mission that led to the largest loss of life in American Navy SEAL history.

Having authored the book, Marcus served as a consultant throughout the production process, getting to know the cast and crew very well and enlightening them to the realities of the situation. Glenn asked Marcus to describe that process.”

Marcus Luttrell Talks ‘Lone Survivor’

Marcus Luttrell

” There’s no way a whirlwind of movie screenings, press conferences and interviews in Manhattan five-star hotels ever entered Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell’s mind during the five days he struggled to survive during Operation Redwing in 2005. He wrote a memoir in tribute to his fallen comrades (Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10that became a bestseller and that book is now a movie (Lone Survivor) that stars Mark Wahlberg as Luttrell.

Luttrell seems like he’s treating this entire process as a continuation of Operation Redwing, that getting the story out about the men who died is a necessary step to completing the mission. He spent a lot of time on set during filming of the movie and now he’s traveling around the world to promote the film. We had a chance to speak with him one-on-one and he talked about his decision to write a book, the experience of working with director Peter Berg and how realistic they tried to be in portraying the mission.”
