Saco Family Of Five Killed, May Be A Murder-Suicide

” A family of five was found fatally shot in a Saco apartment on Sunday afternoon, and police said late Sunday they are considering the possibility that the deaths of the man, his wife and their three children were a murder-suicide.

Police said the shootings in a second-floor apartment at 35 Water St. could have taken place around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, when neighbors reported hearing a sound like “firecrackers” going off.

But the bodies of the family members were not discovered until Sunday afternoon in bedrooms in their apartment. A preliminary examination by a deputy state medical examiner indicated that each person had been shot to death.”

The victims include three children ages 12 , 7 , & 4 , all found shot to death in their home along with a gun and the bodies of their mother and father . The Portland Press Herald has the details .

BREAKING: Connecticut Gun Ban Bills Revealed

” 2.     The bill requires “universal background checks” for the sale of all firearms immediately, upon passage.

Under current law, private sales of rifles and shotguns are completely unregulated (while the sale of any pistol or revolver or the sale of a rifle or shotgun by a licensed dealer requires a criminal background check). Under the bill, this glaring loophole is immediately closed, and all private long gun sales must be preceded by the buyer passing a national criminal background check.

Immediately upon passage, no pistol, revolver, rifle or shotgun can be sold to any Connecticut resident until the buyer undergoes and passes a national criminal background check — whether such sale is private, at a gun show, or through a dealer.”
