Biker Cop Joined In SUV Beatdown, Hit Vehicle

” An off-duty undercover cop who had claimed he took no active role as fellow bikers pulled a Manhattan dad from his SUV and beat him to a pulp was actually pounding the vehicle with his fists at the height of the bloody road-rage attack, sources told The Post.

The cop, a seven-year veteran, had told investigators he didn’t help the injured man because he rode up to the scene as the beating was nearly over, sources said.

But video footage clearly shows otherwise, disgusted sources said Monday — and Internal Affairs Bureau higher-ups want to nail the officer.

The unidentified cop has already been placed on modified duty and turned in his gun and badge.”

Motorcyclist Arrested In Gang Beating After High-Speed New York Chase

” A New Jersey man was arrested on Tuesday and charged for his role in a high-speed chase along a Manhattan highway that ended when a motorcycle gang dragged a New York man from his vehicle and beat him while his wife and baby looked on, police said.

Christopher Cruz, 28, of Passaic, New Jersey, was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, menacing and endangering the welfare of a child, said Sergeant Lee Jones of the New York City Police Department.

“The investigation is continuing with regards to other participants in this assault,” Jones said.

A police source said authorities believed the motorcyclists who chased the SUV were part of a large group that had planned an unauthorized gathering in New York on Sunday. This was similar to an event last year, when the riders organized online and gathered in large groups in Times Square without permission, the source said.”

Two Bystanders Struck By NYPD Cops Opening Fire On Suspect Near Times Square

” Two NYPD cops opened fire at a deranged man a block from Times Square — as he pretended to point a gun at them — but instead struck a pair of innocent bystanders Saturday night, police said.

The 35-year-old man was behaving wildly in the middle of W. 42nd St. at Eighth Ave. about 9:36 p.m. when he was confronted by the officers, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said.

The man, who was not identified, was arrested. He was unarmed when he was taken into custody. “

Going Underground: The Huge Illegal Party Held In Abandoned Subway Station SEVEN STORIES Below The Streets Of New York City

The MTA have taken a dim view of the 'trespass'

” Before We Were Ghosts was a party, musical performance and act of civil disobedience that was underground in more ways than one.

The secret event took place to coincide with last month’s summer solstice and, according to Gothamist, was curated by event organizer, theater director and film maker Jeff Stark.

Around 150 guests were given very few details about the party before meeting up near a Brooklyn subway station before midnight.

An email invite just warned: ‘To remind you, this is an event with some legal and physical risks. If you are uncomfortable with these risks you should not attend. Really.’

The partygoers were then silently led to a open manhole cover that led to a cavernous abandoned subway station.

Once they had descended deep underground the attendees were treated to a candlelit party and two hours of music before silently shuffling up the ladders and back into the night.

But the MTA was not amused. A spokesman told the New York Daily News: ‘Trespassing in non-public areas… is a serious crime and has the potential to lead to injury. This incident has been passed on to the NYPD for investigation.’

NYPD Cops Arrest Woman Recording Them, Apparently Stealing Wrong Memory Card (Updated)

” New York City police officers arrested a woman who was video recording them from a public sidewalk as they conducted some type of “vehicle safety checkpoint.”

The officers apparently stole a memory card from a camera, which turned out to be the wrong one, allowing us to view the video.

In the Youtube description, under the headline, “You stole the wrong SD card,” Christina Gonzalez said her boyfriend was also arrested.

We were arrested while filming an NYPD checkpoint on a bridge between a soon to be gentrified Bronx and a quickly gentrifying Harlem. We were charged with OGA, DisCon, and resisting arrest. I was holding a bag of yarn in one hand and a canvas in the other. My partner had food in his hands when he was tackled. Even though their violent actions were unjust, we did not resist. Simultaneous with our “arrests”, the checkpoint was closed down.

We were held for 25 hours.”

Serbu Firearms Refuses To Sell .50 Cal Sniper Rifles To NYPD

” Serbu Firearms, a manufacturer of bolt-action and semi-automatic .50 caliber sniper rifles, is refusing to sell their wares to the NYPD. Their reason, of course, is that owing to unfair gun laws, they will not support law enforcement in New York.

Serbu is one of almost 150 companies that has officially refused to sell to law enforcement in New York following the passage of the SAFE Act, the controversial gun control package that has been met with scorn by gun owners across the nation.

The company posted the NYPD’s inquiry as well as their refusal to their Facebook page, with names omitted.

Company founder Mark Serbu said, “Unfortunately, we have a policy of selling to state law enforcement agencies only what is allowed to be sold to private citizens in that state. Since the passage of the NY SAFE act, the BFG-50A is considered an assault weapon and as such is no longer available to private citizens in the state of New York. Therefore we have to respectfully decline to supply your department with BFG-50A rifles.”

If you want to let them know what you think yea or nay, of just “like” them, head over to the Serbu Firearms Facebook page.”

Tell us again why we law-abiding gun owners should register our guns .

” Below is a 446-page list of every licensed gun owner in New York City. I obtained it from the NYPD two-and-a-half years ago via a Freedom of Information Law request. Because the NYPD is more interested in raping and/or eating ladies and spying on Muslims than it is in honoring public records law, the list contains only the names, and not the addresses, of the licensees…

Here’s the full, searchable, NYPD list. (And for the record, they are not all assholes. Some of them need guns for legitimate reasons for their jobs, like providing security for assholes.)

Cook singles out Sean Hannity, Roger Ailes, former Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack, Howard Stern, Don Imus, and Donald Trump for criticism. Apparently owning a gun permit is now enough to get you labeled an “asshole” from a left that considers all gun owners evildoers ”

Murder Rate in Brooklyn Lowest Since 1960

” An extreme drop in Brooklyn‘s murder rate over the last two decades is reflectant of the dedication of residents, elected officials and the NYPD to keep neighborhoods safe, according to Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes.

Mr. Hynes noted that when he first took office in 1990, there were 780 murders in the borough. Last year the number, at 149, was the first time it was less than 150 since 1960. “

Inmates Using Newspaper’s Gun Owner Map To Threaten Guards

” Law enforcement officials from a New York region where a local paper published a map identifying gun owners say prisoners are using the information to intimidate guards.

Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco, who spoke at a news conference flanked by other county officials, said the Journal News’ decision to post an online map of names and addresses of handgun owners Dec. 23 has put law enforcement officers in danger.

“They have inmates coming up to them and telling them exactly where they live. That’s not acceptable to me,” Falco said, according to Newsday.

Robert Riley, an officer with the White Plains Police Department and president of its Patrolman’s Benevolent Association, agreed.

“You have guys who work in New York City who live up here. Now their names and addresses are out there, too,” he said adding that there are 8,000 active and retired NYPD officers currently living in Rockland County ”

How To NOT Get A Ticket When You’re Pulled Over By Police

” A retired New York City police officer has shared some important tips about how to avoid being ticketed when you’re pulled over for a potential traffic violation.

Retired NYPD officer Jerry Kane, 53, told ABC News that if you’re pulled over, it behooves you to put yourself in the officer’s shoes.

“Cops get killed in car stops,” Kane said, advising stopped motorists that the most important thing they can do is to make sure that their hands, as well as their passengers’ hands, are in plain view. “
