Did You Hear The Koch Brothers Just Gave A Million Bucks To NPR To Cover Healthcare?

” No, you didn’t hear about that Koch gift to NPR, because it never happened.

But now that I have your attention, let me ask you whether you heard that a different funder, who also has a strong agenda on healthcare, just gave $1.3 million to NPR to report on this topic?

No, you probably didn’t hear about that gift either, by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation—a grant that has caused zero controversy.

Come to think of it, I didn’t recall any controversy when RWJF gave National Public Radio $5.6 million to report on healthcare between 2008 and 2011, during a period when this was among the most politicized of all topics.

You’d think that somebody would at least have raised an eyebrow, given that RWJF is a strong proponent of the Affordable Care Act, as well as other healthcare policy positions on the progressive side of the spectrum.

God bless that foundation, if you ask me. But as a thought experiment, imagine if the Koch brothers had given the same amount of money to NPR to cover healthcare.

People would have gone nuts. “

James O’Keefe Reveals Corruption At The Heart Of The President’s Signature Program

” James O’Keefe, the guerrilla videographer who helped bring down ACORN (the “community organizing” group that Barack Obama worked for as a lawyer and trainer) and got NPR’s president fired, is back.

This time, his undercover investigators focused on Obamacare’s “navigators,” the nearly 50,000 people who, in the words of the Department of Health and Human Services, “will serve as an in-person resource for Americans who want additional assistance in shopping for and enrolling in plans” on the Obamacare exchanges (at least when they’re finally working). The total value of grants doled out for nonprofits and community organizations to hire navigators has topped $67 million nationwide, and some of the money is going to a group run by ACORN’s highly controversial founder.”

Obama’s cronies from the world of community organizing have merely relocated from ACORN to Obamacare navigation . Here is some of the sage advise offered to the undercover investigator in Texas .

“You lie because your premiums will be higher,” one navigator advises an investigator for O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, who tells the worker he sometimes smokes. “Don’t tell them that. Don’t tell ’em.”

Here is another gem …

” The investigator then poses as a low-income worker at a university who has unreported cash income on the side, worrying about how that might affect his premium subsidies. That’s no problem for a navigator, who says, “Don’t get yourself in trouble by declaring it now.”

“Yeah, it didn’t happen,” another navigator says. One more chimes in: “Never report it.” “

As you can see , the culture of the lie is a mandatory part of Obama’s way of doing business . We are being forced to pay our tax dollars to subsidize bald-faced lies and criminal behavior on behalf of the very authority picking our pocket . You can view the video at our previous post on O’Keefe’s efforts if you haven’t already done so . Be sure and read John Fund’s article in it’s entirety .

Deadly Camp Bastion Attack Review Finds Troops Let Guard Down

” Some guard towers on an allied military base in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan were unattended during a Taliban militants raid last September, National Public Radio (NPR) reported.

Capitol Hill sources told NPR the insurgents “got lucky” by cutting through the fence at a remote area of the base in Helmand Province.

According to Marine Corps review allied troops “let their guard down” at Camp Bastion and have now “vastly” beefed up security with sensors and more British and American guards, but there is no indication anyone will be held accountable.

A House staffer said, (Allied military officers) considered this kind of an attack a low probability.” ”

An Inconvenient Truth: More Polar Bears Alive Today Than 40 Years Ago

” There are far more polar bears alive today than there were 40 years ago,” Unger told NPR in an interview about his new book, “Never Look a Polar Bear in The Eye.” “There are about 25,000 polar bears alive today worldwide. In 1973, there was a global hunting ban. So once hunting was dramatically reduced, the population exploded.”

This  from a man that had hoped to write the definitive tome on the looming extinction of said Ursus Maritimus .

” He packed up his family and moved north to Churchill, Manitoba — called the ”Polar Bear Capital of the World” because of the large amounts of bears that congregate near it in the autumn.

“My humble plan was to become a hero of the environmental movement,” Unger told NPR.”

We’ll give the man his due . Despite his preconceived notions of AGW and his admitted desire to be a ” hero ” to the greenies , he speaks of the facts as he found them and not as he had wished them to be . Additionally , he did so while visiting the very hub of leftist enviromentalism , NPR . Good for you Mr Unger … good for you , good for the polar bears and most of all good for the truth however hard it may be to come by .

… Video Of New Year’s Eve Fireworks In Reverse

NYE Fireworks In Reverse

” Before the holiday mood completely disappears, take a break if you can to watch this video of the New Year’s Eve fireworks in Melbourne, Australia.

The guy who made it, Julian Tay, writes he was:

“Curious to see what fireworks would look like if I played it backwards. Turns out, it looks pretty awesome. Playing it in reverse gives it that cool slow-mo feel which is strangely soothing and tranquil. Totally opposite of the true nature of fireworks.”

And, yes, this has been done by others. But with about 120,000 views (and counting), Tay’s has quickly become the most-watched of the YouTube videos that pop up for us with a search of the term “fireworks in reverse.” “
