New York City Drone Film Festival – March 7, 2015 NYC

” New York City Drone Film Festival is the world’s first event exclusively dedicated to celebrating the art of drone cinematography.  The festival provides a platform for aerial filmmakers to showcase their work (shot anywhere in the world), emphasizing innovative flight technique, aesthetic beauty, and more.  Director, landscape photographer, and aerial cinematographer Randy Scott Slavin founded the festival in 2014 with a desire to change the perceptions of drones. “I’m tired of drones being synonymous with questionable legality and FAA regulation. ” Two NYPD officers responding to a robbery call were shot in the Bronx late Monday night, police and law enforcement sources say.

A 30-year-old officer was shot in the arm and lower back, and a 38-year-old officer was shot in the chest and arm near East 184th Street and Tiebout Avenue in the Fordham section shortly after 10:30 p.m., officials said at an early morning news conference.

The unidentified officers were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where they are in critical but stable condition, and are expected to recover, the NYPD said.

The officers were approaching two suspects who had just entered a nearby restaurant when one of the suspects opened fire, Bratton said. The officers returned fire and two of them were wounded.”

This Creepy Santa Decoration Is Your Worst Nightmare

” While Christmas time usually means stores and homes filled with rosy-cheek, joyful Santa Claus decorations, some shoppers were rather scared by this Santa spotted in the Macy’s Department Store in New York. The pale-faced St. Nick sounds like he may be having a spot of bother on the toilet as he tries out his signature, “ho, ho, ho!” Credit: YouTube/Mr. Crumples “

In the late summer of 1974, a New York brewery called Schaefer’s organised an outdoor music festival at the auditorium in Central Park. Over the course of 12 nights, locals were afforded the opportunity to see a whole host of acts, covering all musical tastes. From Ray Charles to Lynyrd Skynyrd, from The Pointer Sisters to Bad Company, the line-up each evening ran the gamut of some of the most popular outfits of the time. On September 7th, the last night of the run, the bill was topped by Aerosmith and the warm-up act was one Rory Gallagher.

Wearing his standard uniform of jeans, denim jacket and a check shirt, Gallagher took the stage in front of a crowd who’d paid $1.50 and $2.50 to be there and he seemed determined to give them value for money.

“It’s quite a few months since we were here,” said Gallagher as he…

” Taxpayers had to cough up $1,159,823 in just one month to fly President Obama to New York and Denver to raise money for Democrats and attend an LGBT event, according to documents obtained by a taxpayer watchdog group.

Judicial Watch told Secrets that the Air Force just provided expense reports detailing the flight costs of Air Force One to the cities in July.

The documents show that president’s July 8-9 fundraising trip to Denver cost the taxpayers $695,894.10.

His July 17-18 fundraising trip to New York City cost taxpayers $463,929.40.

Travel costs are typically a small portion of presidential trips. Judicial Watch said that the U.S. Secret Service has not complied with a request to detail security expenses and the costs of housing and moving the president and his staff are also unknown. “

” Celebrities, activists and political leaders are expected to join more than 100,000 people in New York Sunday for what could be the largest climate change protest in history, organizers said.

Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, former US vice president turned advocate Al Gore, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio are due to take part in the “People’s Climate March.”

The event has been endorsed by more than 1,400 organizations, including environment, faith and justice groups, as well as labor unions. Students have mobilized marchers at more than 300 college campuses.

The protest will wind its way through Midtown Manhattan on a two-mile (3.2-kilometer) route starting at 11:30 am (1530 GMT). “

Just asking: How much CO will these hypocritical a**holes put into the atmosphere from their private jets and mammoth limousines in order to “save the planet” ?

Mexican Sex Slaves Pour Over Our Undefended Southern Border From Pimp City

” A town of just ten thousand people, Tenancingo has thrived for the past half-century thanks to a lucrative family business. Grandfathers passed the trade down to fathers, and fathers in turn, to their sons — that business is sex trafficking.”

Pimp City

” But the prostitutes involved in their scheme aren’t willing participants. Many are from rural and indigenous villages throughout Mexico, and are kidnapped, trapped, and seduced in a trade the sons of Tenancingo have been perfecting for decades.”

This is a true war on women and it is actively aided and abetted by the Obama administration’s failure to secure our souther border .

” Once in the U.S, the girls are forced to see as many as 60 clients a day. These men, typically called “Johns,” pay about $35 for 15 minutes of sex, according to Sanctuary for Families, a nonprofit advocacy group for sex-trafficking victims. The money is then wired back to Tenancingo, where mansions with lavish courtyards and tawdry cupolas line the streets.”

image description

” There’s a lot of debate around just how many sex slaves there are in the U.S. and how many are from this small city. Whether Tenancingo sends dozens, hundreds, or thousands of women a year to the U.S., there’s undoubtedly one place where many of them are sent: Queens, N.Y.”

Putting aside the issues of national security , drug smuggling and illegal alien invasion , the proliferation of human trafficking over the US-Mexican border should be reason enough all by itself to secure said border and aid in stopping this real war on women , unless of course , you are a hypocritical Dem who would prefer to gain political advantage by blasting your opponents across the aisle as the “real perpetrators” of the war on women .

… ‘To Make Reading Sexy’

n-TOPLESS-large570

” It’s spring in New York City, and that means the city’s most topless literary club is back in action. Members of the The Outdoor Co-Ed Topless Pulp Fiction Appreciation Society bared their breasts in Central Park on Friday, and then again Saturday while lounging on the rooftop sundeck of a certain “nude-friendly, gay-friendly, everything-friendly boutique hotel.”

The reading material included, of course, some pulp fiction titles like “Hunt Through The Cradle of Fear,” “Borderline,” as well as “Abraham Lincoln, Presidential Fu*k Machine,” and, er, “Moby Dick.”

For the uninitiated, OCETPFAS formed a few years ago. It’s the group’s mission to “make reading sexy,” as well as remind New Yorkers that toplessness is very legal in New York City.

Take a NSFW scroll below. And if you’re interested in joining the OCETPFAS, find out where the group meets next here or follow them on Twitter.”

The One Good Thing About NYC Having A Communist Mayor…

” The election of Bill de Blasio as New York’s mayor was a dream comes true for America’s progressives. Not only has one of their own grabbed the top job in the country’s biggest city, but his Working Families Party has total (48/3) control of the City Council to support him.

There is now no progressive program de Blasio cannot put into place. He is limited only by his own imagination.  Sure, those “meanies” in Albany can throw a few road blocks in front of him and briefly stall his plans; but in the end, he’ll get his way. The far Left is dancing around their campfires now; but before long, de Blasio will become a major problem for Democrats and will douse those flames.

His powerbase, the Working Families Party, is the modern face of the Communist Party of the 1950s. They are Marxists and proud of it. They will not allow de Blasio to back down from their dreams even if he wanted to try.”

Read more about Di Blasio and how he will serve the same purpose in New York that Obama is doing nationwide … opening people’s eyes to the “wonders” of socialism .

Between the two of them they should set the Democratic party back a generation . If it weren’t for a combination of GOP incompetence , the protection afforded dems by the MSM and Obama’s high melanin count the setback would in fact become the death knell for the “progressive” movement .

84 Year-Old Man Left Beaten And Bloodied By NYPD For Jaywalking

84year old beaten by police

” 84 year old Kang Wong decided to begin a life of crime Sunday afternoon when he crossed the street in an area not allowed by the city.

He was subsequently seen by the brave NYPD who, in their efforts to ‘protect and serve’ New Yorkers, kept them all safe by beating Mr. Wong so bad that he had to be hospitalized.

According to witnesses Mr. Wong, didn’t seem to understand what the police were saying and simply tried to walk away, and so they did what they are trained to do, escalate the situation to violence.”

In Defense Of Banksy And Guerrilla Street Art

102113_BANKSY_DM_7.jpg

” To be a brand name in guerrilla street art is to be in exclusive company. And no one has built a bigger brand imposing his stencils, spray paintings, and sculptures on the world than Banksy. His latest installation, a scattershot, month-long spree of works called “Better Out Than In,” proved that to anyone who pays attention to New York City. Every day, across the five boroughs, the secretive artist debuted a fresh piece in a new location, spawning excited Instagrams, an interactive street map, and, yes, grumbling critique: not just from nannyesque Bloombergians, but the kinds of property rights advocates who sometimes cross swords with the Mayor. That is art Banksy style: sticking it to the man, and maybe to you too.

Apart or together, his compositions aren’t hard to interpret—meditations on the hypocrisies and opportunities of city life. But inseparable from the art is the nuanced question of how we, the audience, can choose to respond. Here Banksy offers little guidance. He seems fully content to let critics decry him as a criminal, or worse, as a crass commercialist.”
