It’s All Ho-Ho-Ho Til Obama Hijacks Your Holiday

OFA Eat Me

” Loathe peaceful holidays? Detest the spirit of agreeableness and good will that tends to pervade during this time of year? Well, if you’re longing for it to be ’tis the season of debates, irritations, and shouting matches, you’re in luck: The Obama administration thinks the holidays are the perfect time to gather round and discuss … Obamacare.

Wary about the effect bringing up the most polarizing political topic among your relatives and friends who likely span the blue-purple-red spectrum will have? Don’t be, because President Barack Obama’s Organizing for Action has launched a website with helpful tips about how to have “the talk.” (Here’s my first tip: If any adolescents or preteens are present, you might want to use a different phrase than “the talk” when broaching the subject if you don’t want an instant exodus.)

The tips including asking your family and guests coming over for the holiday to bring the information they’d need to sign up for Obamacare, because it’s absolutely not awkward at all to tell someone you’d like him to bring wine and oh, his social security number and annual salary, too. You’re advised to bring up Obamacare during “family time … downtime after meals or between holiday activities.” Perfect: When your family is curled up in chairs in a turkey/stuffing/pumpkin pie-induced stupor, you can cut off the idle reminisces about bygone days and football and kids saying the cutest things, and launch that super festive health-care conversation that’s sure to have everyone bursting into a rollicking round of kumbaya, despite that pesky little fact that poll after poll shows the country is sharply divided on this issue.”

In this new era of Hope & Change™ is nothing beyond politics ? Of course not . We have already seen this demonstrated with the Obama campaign’s “give us your gifts” registry asking for your graduation , wedding and birthday gifts .

Who could forget this highlight of the 2012 presidential campaign ? Obama certainly found a way to top old “Slick Willie” and his Lincoln Bedroom rental scheme and while Bill’s fundraising methods had a distinctly “trailer-trash” appearance to them at least the taxpayers weren’t asked to ruin their holidays in order to further his Statist agenda. That cannot be said for the Emperor Obama .

Obama’s Political Action Group Loses Complaint Against Website Address Owner

” Last year, President Obama’s re-election campaign reworked its operations renaming it Organizing for Action in an effort to leverage the President’s monumental email address list to urge supporters to back the President’s policies. But OFA made a tiny mistake: it didn’t register all the various website addresses for its new effort. Worse, when others jumped to register the names, Obama’s political group filed a complaint to get the web addresses back. Now Obama has lost that battle.

In February I reported that team Obama didn’t perform its due diligence and register all the website iterations as is normal business practice in today’s Internet centric world. As Obama’s OFA made its debut, no one in his purportedly Internet-savvy campaign had obtained the corresponding .com, .net, .org or .us sites, nor did OFA register other names that are close to its official one, as is the sensible practice.

In one case, Breitbart reported that Derek Bovard registered the website address www.organizingforaction.net and set it so that visitors would be re-directed automatically to the homepage of the National Rifle Association.”

The Perpetual Campaign: How Obama’s Left-Wing Partisans Plan to Invade and Destroy Texas

” With much fanfare and hullabaloo, President Obama’s former campaign, Organizing for Action, recently launched a 10-year effort to turn red Texas into a true swing state. The plan, officially unveiled in a meeting in Austin on February 26 by Obama operative Jeremy Bird, hails the onset of Battleground Texas. Texas is not a swing state, at least not yet, but Battleground Texas intends to treat it like one in a sustained and systematic way so that it becomes one.

Democratic groups have tried, and failed, to turn back the clock on Texas’ shift from Democrat fortress as late as the 1980s to the Republican bastion that it is now without success. The most publicized of these, the Lone Star Project led by Washington, D.C., activist Matt Angle, was funded by trial lawyer cash to fight tort reform, voter ID, and push for left-wing policies. Its goal was to elect a Democrat speaker of the Texas House of Representatives by 2010 and elect a Democrat to statewide office — any statewide office. That year, though, Republicans made unprecedented gains and turned the Democratic caucus in the state House into a tiny club. Several Democratic officeholders defected to the GOP, further reducing the party’s power. Gov. Rick Perry trounced Democrat challenger Bill White, and no Democrat came close to winning any statewide office. Angle’s Lone Star Project is a lavishly funded failure.

Bird’s effort is different. ”

Carney Unable to Defend OFA Arrangement, Hurries Away From Podium

Carney OFA

” Over the weekend, the New York Times reported that donating $500,000 to the group Organizing for Action will get one quarterly meetings with President Barack Obama. “Giving or raising $500,000 or more puts donors on a national advisory board for Mr. Obama’s group and the privilege of attending quarterly meetings with the president, along with other meetings at the White House,” reported the Times.

Today, Jay Carney was unable to defend this arrangement at the White House press briefing, implausibly stating that the Obama group is somehow not related to Obama:
