Rob O’Neill Named As SEAL Team Six Hero Who Shot 9/11 Mastermind Three Times In Head

In action: A rare picture of O'Neill as a serviceman shows him in uniform in Liberia, where the Navy was involved in operation to stabilize the war-torn country

” The Navy SEAL who shot Osama bin Laden dead in the special force’s most famous operation can be named today.

The Navy hero is set to give a full interview to Fox News later this month and waive his anonymity but MailOnline has established that he is Rob O’Neill, a highly-decorated veteran who quit after 16 years service.

In an exclusive interview Rob’s father, Tom O’Neill, tells MailOnline, ‘People are asking if we are worried that ISIS will come and get us because Rob is going public. I say I’ll paint a big target on my front door and say come and get us.’

Rob O’Neill, 38, is a former member of SEAL Team Six who has been portrayed on screen in Zero Dark Thirty, Captain Phillips and Lone Survivor.

He is one of the most distinguished members ever of the elite force – but now faces being frozen out of its circles for revealing its most closely-held secrets.”

” O’Neill was personally congratulated for killing bin Laden – in his account at close range with three shots to his forehead – during the SEAL raid on Abbottobad, in Pakistan, on 2 May 2011.

Questions have previously been raised over the exact narrative of how bin laden came to die, although the dispute centers on an alternative account which claims O’Neill shot him once, leaving him mortally-wounded and the terrorist was killed by two other SEALs with further shots to the chest rather than forehead.

O’Neill’s decision to speak out was prompted by losing some of his military benefits by quitting the SEALs after 16 years rather than staying for a full 20 years of service.

Today details of his extraordinary military record can be disclosed.

O’Neill grew up in Butte, Montana, a former copper mining boomtown that has now fallen on hard times.

Tom O’Neill lives in a single story home with a garage full of stuffed animals — including a bear, moose, caribou, big horn sheep and several deer — shot by the two men. A full stuffed kodiak bear has place of pride in his living room.

O’Neill has said the basic reason he became a SEAL was a teenage romance gone wrong. At 19 he went to a Navy recruiter’s office in an attempt to get over his lost love.

But his father gave a different story in his exclusive interview with MailOnline. ‘We were going hunting and a friend asked us to take a guy who was a Navy SEAL with us,’ said Tom O’Neill, 65. ‘We were expecting someone who was 6 ft. 8 in. who could lift a house with his bare hands, but he was this normal guy. And Rob said if this guy could be a SEAL, then so could he.’

In total he was deployed on more than a dozen tours of duty in active combat, in four different warzones, including Iraq and Afghanistan.

In the course of those tours he undertook more than 400 separate combat missions.

He was decorated 52 times, leaving as senior chief petty officer. His decorations include two Silver Stars, four Bronze Stars with Valor, a Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor, three Presidential Unit citations, and two Navy/Marine Corps Commendations with Valor.”

In Case You Lost Count, This Map Shows The Countries Our Peace-Prize Winning President Has Bombed

140923160247-bombed-countries-obama-story-top

From the original CNN editorial:

” He’s the war-ending President who, as of Tuesday, has ordered airstrikes in seven different countries (that we know of).

President Barack Obama has always acknowledged there are times when military force is necessary. Even when he accepted his Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, he said there could be instances when war is “morally justified.”

But though he campaigned for the presidency on ending U.S.-led wars, Obama’s administration has certainly been willing to use force when it sees fit.”

Independent Journal Review provides a synopsis of the military actions

” Since he became President, the Nobel Peace Prize winner has directed invasions into 7 countries:

  1. Afghanistan: Much criticized by the Afghani local government, Obama continued George W. Bush’s use of bombing, via aircraft and drones, of targets.
  2. Pakistan: Drone attacks have continued here as well.
  3. Libya: The U.S. bombed Libya in March 2011. The situation has certainly not improved, as evidenced in part by the U.S. Embassy killings in 2012 and the evacuation of all American staff two months ago.
  4. Yemen: Since Obama took office, almost 100 drone attacks have occurred there.
  5. Somalia: American drones have attacked and killed terrorists throughout the country.
  6. Iraq: Renewed bombings began in Iraq last month, following George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush in attacking terrorists there.
  7. Syria: U.S. recently launched air strikes in Syria, despite the red line being drawn by the President over Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons over a year ago.”

Pakistani Passengers Throw Politician Off Plane

” Fed up with constant delays and flight cancellations, disgruntled Pakistani passengers prevented a senior politician from boarding an airplane after he turned up at least two hours late for the flight.

A video posted online on Tuesday shows a group of passengers shouting ‘Shame on you’ as they blocked Rehman Malik, an influential former interior minister, from entering the plane and then chasing him back to the terminal building.

The plane, operated by state-run Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), eventually took off from the port city of Karachi for Islamabad without Malik on board. An airline spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.

Another politician, Ramesh Kumar Wakwani, was also barred from boarding the aircraft after turning up late.”

In Lahore, Pregnant Pakistani Woman Stoned To Death

” In an apparent ‘honor killing’, a 25-year-old pregnant woman was brutally beaten and stoned to death on Tuesday outside the high court here by her father and brothers for marrying the man of her choice.

Police said Farzana Parveen, resident of Faisalabad, had married Mohammad Iqbal of Jaranwala a few months ago against the wishes of her family.

The incident happened as the couple reached the court premises to record Farzana’s statement to defend her husband against allegations by her family that he kidnapped her and forced her to marry him.

After failing in their attempt, nearly 20 members of her family, including her father and brothers, attacked the couple with sticks and bricks before a crowd of onlookers in front of the high court of Lahore, said police official Naseem Butt.”

Twitter Caves To Pakistani “Blasphemy” Censorship Requests

” Twitter has honored five requests made by a Pakistani bureaucrat working for the country’s Telecommunications Authority to censor tweets and accounts it considered “blasphemous” and “unethical.”

According to the New York Times, the social network agreed to shield certain tweets from the eyes of Pakistani Twitter users at the request of Abdul Batin. The requests including censoring crude drawings of the Prophet Muhammad, photographs of burning Qurans, and tweets from anti-Islam bloggers and an American porn star.

This is apparently the first time Twitter has agreed to block specific content in Pakistan since it introduced its country-specific censorship policy in 2012. The policy takes into accounts local laws that apply to tweets and will consider reactively withholding access to certain content if they receive “valid and properly scoped” requests from authorized entities. Despite this, the NYT claims that a number of accounts were blocked not reactively, but in anticipation of the annual “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day,” which falls on May 20.”

The first time Twitter’s censorship policy was enforced was in Germany in 2012 when it banned a neo-Nazi party—which are not allowed under German law—from the social network. Since then the policy has come into effect in several countries, although Twitter aims to remain as transparent as possible using several mechanisms, including partnering with Chilling Effects to publish notifications of when it withholds content, as well requests to withhold it.

Pakistani Baby Taken Into Hiding After Attempted Murder Charge

” Relatives of a nine-month old baby charged with attempted murder in Pakistan have taken him into hiding, one said on Tuesday, in a case that has thrown a spotlight on Pakistan’s dysfunctional criminal justice system.

Baby Musa Khan appeared in court in the city of Lahore last week, charged with attempted murder along with his father and grandfather after a mob protesting against gas cuts and price increases stoned police and gas company workers trying to collect overdue bills.

” Police are vindictive. Now they are trying to settle the issue on personal grounds, that’s why I sent my grandson to Faisalabad for protection,” the baby’s grandfather, Muhammad Yasin, told Reuters, referring to a central Pakistani city.

The baby is on bail and due to appear at the next hearing on April 12 but Yasin said he was not sure if he would take him to court for the case.”

Reuters has more on Musa’s flight and here is our original post on the arrest of the young “hoodlum” .

9-Month Old Arrested: Toddler Arrested For Stoning Exposes Pakistan Legal Flaws

” A 9-month old was arrested in Pakistan for allegedly tossing rocks and has since been accused of attempted murder by “stoning.” The dubious apprehending of this mite-sized “criminal” underscores serious flaws in a specious legal system in Pakistan that seems bereft of any ability to protect basic human rights.

Says Fox News on April 4: Muhammad Mosa Khan, a 9-month-old Pakistani boy, “sat on his father’s lap, sucking on a bottle during a court appearance where he and at least 30 others were charged with attempted murder.”

Human rights abuses coupled with an anemic legal system have led to the mistreatment and deaths of thousands of Pakistanis.

The Human Rights Watch (HRW), in their 2013 World Report, labeled Pakistan as having a “turbulent” year, highlighted via “attacks on civilians by militant groups, growing electricity shortages, rising food and fuel prices, and continuing political dominance of the military, which operates with almost complete impunity.”

Dozens have been arrested and tortured under the country’s ill-defined blasphemy law, reports the HRW, including the 2012 arrest of mentally disabled girl, suffering from Down Syndrome, who allegedly burned the Quran.”

… And Most DON’T Want The Face Covered

Survey: Chart shows how people from seven different countries with a majority-Muslim population believe women should dress

” The way Muslim women should dress in public has been a strongly debated topic in recent months.

But a new study has now revealed what the citizens of different Muslim countries believe is appropriate female dress – and how widely views differ between them.

The survey was conducted across seven countries – Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey – which all have a majority Muslim population.

And the research from the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research found that most residents in these countries prefer women to cover their hair with a traditional hijab, al-Amira or head scarf rather than cover their entire face with a full burqa or niqab. “

Utah Gun Manufacturer, Desert Tech, Refuses Sale To Pakistan

Desert Tech

” A local gun manufacturer is gaining attention after announcing its decision to turn down a multimillion-dollar deal to legally supply Pakistan with precision rifles.

Desert Tech was approached with the opportunity to sell precision rifles to Pakistan in November. The company turned the deal down this week because of fears the guns could eventually be used against U.S. troops.

“The company was founded on the principle of keeping Americans and our allied forces safe,” said sales manager Mike Davis. “We’re not saying that Pakistan would get the weapons and do anything bad with them, but there’s just a heavy set of unrest over there.”

The contract would have been lucrative and the current United States administration supports foreign military arms sales to Pakistan forces, but Davis said after internal discussion they decided it wouldn’t be a good fit for their company. Some of the employees are veterans who have been to the Middle East and seen the situation first hand. Other employees have family members and friends currently serving in military engagements in the region.

“As a business owner you always want to be successful, but I think ethically and morally you want to go about it the right way and stick behind your founding principles,” Davis said.

A post by founder Nick Young on the company’s Facebook page on Tuesday has gone viral, with more than 2,000 likes and 1,000 shares so far. In the post Young asked readers if they thought the company’s concerns about selling rifles to Pakistan were legitimate.”

Climate Change Expert’s Fraud Was ‘Crime Of Massive Proportion,’

Say Feds

” The EPA’s highest-paid employee and a leading expert on climate change deserves to go to prison for at least 30 months for lying to his bosses and saying he was a CIA spy working in Pakistan so he could avoid doing his real job, say federal prosecutors.

John C. Beale, who pled guilty in September to bilking the government out of nearly $1 million in salary and other benefits  over a decade, will be sentenced in a Washington, D.C., federal court on Wednesday. In a newly filed sentencing memo, prosecutors said that his lies were a “crime of massive proportion” that were “offensive” to those who actually do dangerous work for the CIA.

Beale’s lawyer, while acknowledging his guilt, has asked for leniency and offered a psychological explanation for the climate expert’s bizarre tales.

“ With the help of his therapist,” wrote attorney John Kern, “Mr. Beale has come to recognize that, beyond the motive of greed, his theft and deception were animated by a highly self-destructive and dysfunctional need to engage in excessively reckless, risky behavior.” Kern also said Beale was driven “to manipulate those around him through the fabrication of grandiose narratives … that are fueled by his insecurities.”

Interview with Osama Bin Laden’s Neighbor: Dead SEALs Never Left the Compound

” In a moment I am going to show you an interview that happened in the wake of the the alleged killing of Osama Bin Laden on May 2, 2011. It is not new information but these things are not reported heavily by the mainstream media, or any media for that matter, so it should be news to some of our readers.

The witness has a much different narrative of Operation Neptune Spear than we have heard in the media. You need to take this interview with a grain of salt because it could have been total propaganda. Nevertheless, we still await answers for a lot of inconsistencies and this man’s story could explain a few things if it turns out to be true.

Let’s explore one very big question, in particular, behind the operation to kill Bin Laden . Why was no body produced?”

There are certainly more questions than answers .

” Muhammad Bashir in an interview with Sama TV claims to have witnessed the operation. He claims that the American helicopter exploded, before it could take off, leaving dead bodies everywhere with no survivors. He brings about an interesting question. What if Bin Laden’s body, dead or alive, was aboard that helicopter? Is it possible that the operation was really carried out but the narrative we have been given is inaccurate?”

While we are not prone to indulge in conspiracy theories the documented record of lying and secrecy within the present administration does nothing to alleviate a thinking person’s suspicions of cover-up and deception in all things .

” Let’s say that Muhammad Bashir is telling the truth just for the sake of exploration. Could this also have something to do with the SEAL Team 6 Chinook crash that happened just 3 months later? Could the Extortion 17 accident have been an attempt to cover up what really happened with the Bin Laden raid?”

One of the closing lines says it best :

” The biggest question on my mind is why we have so many inaccuracies in the story line. Though I don’t know that I would bet on the word of Muhammad Bashir, I certainly would not bank on anything that comes from the Obama Administration either.”

Read and watch the whole piece and decide for yourself . The theory that the destruction Extortion 17 and a glaring amount of inconsistencies about it and the aftermath should give everyone pause .

Group Embraced By Obama Hit By Canadian Government For Terror Support

” Canada’s version of the IRS, The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), has revoked the charitable status of The Islamic Society of North America (INSA) over charges that the group has channeled over $280,000 to a group in Pakistan linked to a terror outfit. Shawn Jeffords of the Toronto Sun writes:

The CRA announced Friday it will strip the Islamic Society of North America Canada’s Development Foundation of its charitable status.

After a nearly two-year-long audit of its books, the CRA said it found evidence linking the group to an organization that funds a terrorist organization in Pakistan.”

Suicide Bombers Kill 78 Christians Outside Pakistani Church

” A pair of suicide bombers blew themselves up outside a 130-year-old Anglican church in Pakistan after Sunday Mass, killing at least 78 people in the deadliest attack on Christians in the predominantly Muslim country.

Islamist violence has been on the rise in Pakistan in past months, undermining Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s efforts to tame the insurgency by launching peace talks with the Pakistani Taliban.

Within hours of the attack, Sharif toughened his stance considerably but fell short of calling for outright military action against insurgents holed up in tribal areas on the Afghan border – an option supported by Pakistan’s all-powerful army.

Explosions struck the historic white-stone All Saints Church in the city of Peshawar, near the frontier tribal areas where Islamist militants have their strongholds, as hundreds of parishioners, many of them women and children, streamed out of the building. “

Pakistani TV Game Show Awards Contestants Abandoned Babies As Prizes During Ramadan Ratings Wars

” Pakistan may be an impoverished, conservative Muslim nation 7,000 miles away, but in some unexpected ways the country has some similarities to the United States. For one thing, Pakistanis love television game shows – and broadcasters wage a bitter battle for ratings, even during the holy month of Ramadan. And, like some U.S. TV shows (and particularly the much-maligned “reality” genre), some Pakistani television fare skirts the bounds of good taste.

According to reports in British media, a Pakistani prime-time television show called “Amaan Ramazan” on the Geo channel is giving away abandoned babies (mostly female) to childless couple contestants. “

US Drone Strikes Guided From Outback

” Central Australia’s Pine Gap spy base played a key role in the United States’ controversial drone strikes involving the ”targeted killing” of al-Qaeda and Taliban chiefs, Fairfax Media can reveal.

Former personnel at the Australian-American base have described the facility’s success in locating and tracking al-Qaeda and Taliban leaders – and other insurgent activity in Afghanistan and Pakistan – as ”outstanding”.

A Fairfax Media investigation has now confirmed a primary function of the top-secret signals intelligence base near Alice Springs is to track the precise ”geolocation” of radio signals, including those of hand-held radios and mobile phones, in the eastern hemisphere, from the Middle East across Asia to China, North Korea and the Russian far east.”

” Former al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was able to hide in Pakistan for nine years due to the “collective failure” of state military and intelligence authorities, a leaked Pakistani government report has revealed.

The report, obtained exclusively by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit, also outlines how “routine” incompetence at every level of civil governance structure allowed the once world’s most wanted man to move to six different locations within the country.

The report of the Abbottabad Commission, formed in June 2011 to probe the circumstances around the killing of Bin Laden by US forces in a unilateral raid on the Pakistani city of Abbottabad, draws on testimony from more than 200 witnesses, including members of Bin Laden’s family, Pakistan’s then spy chief, senior ministers in the government and officials at every level of the military, bureaucracy and security services.

It was released by the Al Jazeera Investigative Unit on Monday, after being suppressed by the Pakistani government.”

No Longer Unthinkable: Should US Ready For ‘Limited’ Nuclear War?

” For more than 60 years, most Americans have thought of nuclear weapons as an all-or-nothing game. The only way to win is not to play at all, we believed, because any use of nukes will lead to Armageddon. That may no longer be the game our opposition is playing. As nuclear weapons proliferate to places that might not share our reluctance to use them in small numbers, however, the US military may face a “second nuclear age” of retail Armageddon for which it is utterly unprepared.

Adversaries are less likely to be deterred by America’s nuclear arsenal if they decide we won’t strike back with our big bombs in response to a limited, low-yield nuclear attack on US troops. It’s even less credible the US will retaliate massively if the adversary stages the nuclear strike on its own soil as a last-ditch defense against “regime change,” as Russia has wargamed and as Iran is no doubt tempted to do. Least credible of all  is US nuclear retaliation for a nuclear attack that doesn’t actually kill anyone: An enemy with even modest space capability can detonate a nuclear warhead high in the atmosphere, where it will generate a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (or HEMP) that disrupts the electronics on which the US military depends without actually taking any lives. (Congress has held hearings on electromagnetic pulse in the past, albeit focused on threats to the American homeland rather than US forces abroad, but legislative interest has waned since the 2012 defeat of Maryland Rep. Roscoe Bartlett, the Hill’s foremost hawk on EMP).

“We’ve gotten very used to bombing countries, going downtown and working our will” from Baghdad to Belgrade, Wilson said. When the target has nuclear weapons, however, even using  America’s fading conventional superiority starts looking a lot more dangerous.”

Hacking The Drone War’s Secret History

” In 2008 U.S. troops in Iraq discovered that Shi’ite insurgents had figured out how to tap and record video feeds from overhead American drones. Now you too can hack Washington’s globe-spanning fleet of silent, deadly armed robots — although legally, and only in an historical sense.

Josh Begley, a 28-year-old NYU grad student, has just created an application programming interface — basically, a collection of building blocks for software development — that allows anyone with basic coding skills to organize, analyze and visualize drone-strike data from Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia dating back to 2002.

Based on information collected by the U.K. Bureau of Investigative Journalism, the API can be used to create interactive Websites (similar to this) that add depth, context and even a little humanity to the sterile news reports of the latest Unmanned Aerial Vehicle strike in some far-away conflict zone.

The drone API, which is actually Begley’s master’s thesis, is not his first foray into capturing robot-attack data. His @dronestream Twitter feed, which documents all reported UAV attacks. Last year Begley created an iPhone app that tracks drone strikes, but Apple rejected it. Other developers have jumped on the bandwagon, too. London-based artist James Bridle runs a Tumblr blog that matches overhead satellite imagery to reports of drone attacks.”

Leak Ended Informant’s Rare Opportunity, U.S. Officials Say

” Saudi-born Briton had gained the trust of terrorists in the Yemeni branch of Al Qaeda and helped foil a bomb plot, they say, but his work was cut short by Associated Press and newspaper reports.

His access led to the U.S. drone strike that killed a senior Al Qaeda leader, Fahd Mohammed Ahmed Quso, on May 6, 2012. U.S. officials say Quso helped direct the terrorist attack that killed 17 sailors aboard the U.S. guided-missile destroyer Cole in a Yemeni harbor in October 2000.

The informant also convinced members of the Yemeni group that he wanted to blow up a U.S. passenger jet on the first anniversary of the U.S. attack that killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. They outfitted him with the latest version of an underwear bomb designed to pass metal detectors and other airport safeguards, officials say.”

This would seem to be another case of projection on the party of the present administration . As we recall , Obama outed the spy , and Britain was rightfully outraged , in order to take credit for foiling a terror plot .

This particular “revelation” appears to be an attempt to deflect attention away from DoJ’s blatant intrusion into the AP phone records and a justification of that policy .

Seven Foreign Chem Engineers Caught Trespassing At Boston’s Water Reservoir

” Just after Midnight Tuesday night, seven people – five men and two women – were caught trespassing at the Quabbin Reservoir.  The Quabbin is one of America’s largest man made water supplies, and delivers most of Boston’s drinking water.

So, no big deal, right?  It’s probably just some kids who decided to sneak in and have a few beers at the water’s edge.

The problem is all seven were from either Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or Singapore.  All of them live in either Boston or New York, and all of them are recent college graduates with chemical engineering degrees.  They told police they wanted to see the reservoir due to “their education and career interests.”

Which, of course, means you sneak in after midnight.

So we have seven chemical engineers, all from countries with long histories of producing terrorist activity, caught at midnight lurking around one of our nation’s largest water supplies, which the FBI has long warned are prime terrorist targets.”

U.S. Currently Fighting 74 Different Wars … That It Will Publicly Admit

” Linda J. Bilmes and Michael D. Intriligator, ask in a recent paper, “How many wars is the US fighting today?”

Citing a page at US Central Command’s (CENTCOM) website, they highlight the “areas of responsibility” publicly listed:

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) is active in 20 countries across the Middle Eastern region, and is actively ramping-up military training, counterterrorism programs, logistical support, and funding to the military in various nations. At this point, the US has some kind of military presence in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, U.A.E., Uzbekistan, and Yemen.

US Africa Command (AFRICOM), according to the paper, “supports military-to-military relationships with 54 African nations.”

[Gosztola points out that the U.S. military is also conducting operations of one kind or another in Syrian, Jordan, South Sudan, Kosovo, Libya, Yemen, the Congo, Uganda, Mali, Niger and other countries.]

Altogether, that makes 74 nations where the US is fighting or “helping” some force in some proxy struggle that has been deemed beneficial by the nation’s masters of war.

BOMB AT PAKISTAN ISLAMIST PARTY RALLY KILLS 16

Policemen stand guard near supporters of the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) party during an election campaign rally in Islamabad, May 5, 2013.

” A bomb blast tore through a political rally held by an Islamist party in northwest Pakistan Monday, in an attack claimed by the Pakistani Taliban that killed 16 people and underscored an increase in violence ahead of the May 11 vote.

The explosion, at a rally held in the village of Sewak in the northwest Kurram tribal area, was the latest attack on candidates, political offices and election-related events as the vote approaches. Much of the violence is believed to have been carried out by the Taliban against three liberal and secular parties. But Monday’s blast targeted a gathering of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party which generally has a more favorable relationship with the militant group. “
