“Peaceful Protesters” Disrupt Ceremony For 100 Yr Old War Veteran

” 100 year old U.S. Navy veteran Dario Raschio was scheduled to receive some long overdue medals for his service in World War II this weekend at a town hall in Portland, Oregon arranged by Senator Ron Wyden. The veteran of five campaigns in the Pacific Theatre was the subject of many stories, having done multiple observational flight runs, taken gunfire from the Japanese and even being shot down once, finding himself stranded in shark filled waters. The multiple medals he was to receive were all in recognition of various aspects of his service to our nation. Unfortunately, before the proceedings could get fully underway, things took a turn.

While the disrespect shown for Mr. Raschio is beyond the pale, this is fairly characteristic of the latest rounds of anti-cop, “peaceful protests” going on around the country. One of the defining characteristics of these schemes is that they are so completely outside the realm of the issue they are purportedly out there to correct. If you are angered about perceived injustice by police against minorities, what could that possibly have to do with Mr. Raschio? This theme is repeated in the so called Black Brunch protests in Oakland and New York City this weekend. Protesters invaded various businesses to disrupt service and dining in what they referred to as “white spaces.” “

Naked Fiddler To Face The Music

Matthew Thomas Mglej

” A naked violinist was jailed in Portland on Saturday after witnesses reported the man setting up in front of a downtown Portland federal courthouse with his violin, bow, and nothing else. The exposed violinist was arrested by police for indecent exposure, yet he refused to budge his bare butt off of the courthouse steps. Police were forced to pick the man up and carry him over to a squad car, reports The Associated Press on May 24.

According to police records, the man gave his name as 25-year-old Matthew T. Mglej. When police arrived, they warned the man and told him to either dress himself or go home, but Mglej just kept on playing. The chin music conversation didn’t last too long; police hauled the naked fiddler off.”

Disabled Ex-Air Force Sergeant Says Federal Security Officers Tased Him At Downtown Portland Office

DAV Office Portland

” A former U.S. Air Force sergeant is suing the federal government and four federal officers for allegedly tasing him several times and striking him in the head and back as he tried to go through security at a downtown Portland office for an appointment.

William Bayes, 47, was wearing a brace on each knee and using a cane at the time of the alleged December 2012 assault by four Federal Protective Service officers, the federal lawsuit states. Bayes, who suffers from service-related post-traumatic stress disorder, had an appointment that day with the Disabled American Veterans office in the building at Southwest First Avenue and Southwest Main Street, according to the complaint.

The problems started when Bayes arrived at the Disabled Veterans’ second-floor office, which is housed within the regional office of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The following account comes from the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Portland.

Family Calls 911 After Being Trapped & “Terrorized” By Their Cat

Cat Attack

” A fat cat with a bad attitude attacked a baby and forced a Portland family to hide in a bedroom before calling 911.

Police were called out to deal with the crazed kitty at The Yards at Union Station complex on Northwest Naito Parkway just before 8 p.m. Sunday.

The man who called 911 told the dispatcher the cat “went over the edge,” and was charging at them every time they opened the door. Lee Palmer, his girlfriend, Teresa Barker and their son, Jesse, were taking cover in the bedroom.

” He’s trying to attack us,” he said. “He’s very, very, very, very hostile.”

What a namby-pamby world we live in . Grownups resort to calling 911 because of a cat ? I would be too ashamed to ever admit that to anyone . What has become of the American man ?

Portland Dr Proves Cutting Healthcare Costs Can Be Done Without Government Intervention

” A Portland, Maine, physician announced on April 1 that he would cut the middle man and deal directly with his patients, no longer accepting insurance in any form.

“I’ve been able to cut my prices in half because my overhead will be so much less,” Dr. Michael Ciampi told the Bangor Daily News. Before, Ciampi charged an existing patient $160 for an office visit addressing one or more complicated health problems. Now, he charges $75.

Ciampi lost a few hundred of his 2,000 patients who had insurance and didn’t want to deal with the hassle of paperwork for reimbursement, but he expects to make up the loss by attracting the self-employed, the young and others without insurance or with prohibitively high deductibles.”

bat gunstore robbery

” Derrick Mosley walked into Discount Gun Sales, smashed one of the glass cases with a bat and helped himself to an unloaded handgun. The store owner, who was – not too surprisingly – packing his own loaded pistol, very calmly like trained his sights on Mosley and demanded that he drop the gun, the baseball bat and a knife he was carrying. Mosley complied and was held at gunpoint until deputies arrived a short time later and arrested him without further incidence.”

[Video] Law Student Open Carrying Teaches Uninformed Officer a Few Things About Rights

Portland Me Law Stud Schools Cop

” In the below video a Portland, ME law student teaches a local police officer a few things about rights.

The officer illegally stops the man, seizes his firearm, sweeps him with the loaded gun in the process, and refuses to return his gun for almost three minutes until his supervisor shows up and immediately says the student is free to go.

For those that aren’t aware, courts have ruled that the mere presence of a gun is not enough of a reason to stop and detain someone.”
