Marylanders Rush To Tool Up Before Anti-Gun Laws Take Effect

” Anti-gun Democrats seem incapable of learning. Every time they’ve rammed through a gun ban, they’ve created gun owners out of people who never previously intended to own guns, and many of those people soon become our most passionate activists for freedom.

Maryland’s tough new gun control law takes effect next week, banning the sale of assault-style rifles and requiring fingerprints and a license to buy a handgun. This month, a swarm of requests hit the Maryland State Police background check system at a pace roughly seven times that during the same time last year.”

NC Expands Gun Carry Rights to Colleges, Bars – Liberal Media Freaks Out

” Residents can now legally carry in restaurants that serve alcohol, bars and playgrounds. Carriers can also leave their guns in their cars while on school campuses.

Leave it to the liberal media to freak out over the expansion though. OneMSNBC reporter said, tongue in cheek,

Really wish you could take a gun with you on your next visit to the public playground with your kids? Then you might want to consider a move to North Carolina.”

How To Introduce New Shooters To Guns

“Introducing new shooters to the act of actually firing a gun. Bringing new people into the world of firearms, shooting and gun ownership is one of the most important things you can do to help preserve your Second Amendment rights.”

[Video] Amazing Video – Entire Audience at NJ Gun Hearing Disobeys Senators Orders, Recites Pledge

” If you’ve seen the video we posted earlier today, then you definitely want to check this one out. There was some question that when Second Amendment activist, James Kaleda, was removed from the hearing if the audience was clapping for him or for his removal. I think this video, which took place immediately following that, should clear things up.

After a Second Amendment activist was forcefully removed from a hearing on upcoming gun legislation in NJ, the audience wasn’t too happy.”

We firmly believe in the Second Amendment, Concealed Carry and the fact that we have both a right and responsibility to take a pro-active position in our personal defense. Unfortunately, we recognize there are so many variances in our state to state laws, the average individual may have difficulty keeping up with those laws well enough to prevent them from breaking the law, especially as they travel. Since we have the ability to research those laws and create an informative Concealed Carry specific site, we have done so.”

Missouri House Passes Much Anticipated ‘Sweeping Pro-Gun Proposals’

” The bill, which passed with a 115-41 vote, does several key things to protect resident’s gun rights. First, it bans the enforcement of federal gun control regulations within the state’s lines. Second, the bill allows for certain school officials to be armed, provided they have a valid permit and register with the Department of Public Safety. It also allows for the open carry of small firearms, less than 16 inches long. Additionally, the bill drops the legal age requirement to apply for a concealed carry permit from 21 to 19, while still requiring a background check and completion of a firearms safety course. The bill prohibits health professionals from being required to ask people about firearm ownership or documenting that information in medical records. Lastly, the bill makes it illegal to publish any personal information about gun owners or those applying for a concealed carry permit.

Currently there are a total of 24 pieces of gun legislation in the Missouri House, most of which focus on loosening gun restrictions rather than making them tighter. One piece that’s sponsored by a St. Louis republican would make it a felony for lawmakers to propose gun control bills.”

Deterring Gun Violence, The NRA Way

” Essentially, the gun debate is about our rights. Moreover, there are millions of guns out there already, as many as 300 million of all shapes and calibers. Gathering them all up or even registering them would be an impossible infringement of our rights. Accommodating the views of gun owners and pro-gun-control advocates is time-consuming and, ultimately, futile.

While the debate rages, many schools have become war zones, and all school zones are vulnerable. That is why the National Rifle Association’s recommendations are not so primitive as they have been depicted. In fact, the NRA’s recommendations are forward-looking and their opponents’ recommendations are timid and futile. One cannot eliminate guns from American society. Anyone who says he can is not serious.

If we want to get serious about gun violence we should take the NRA’s National School Shield program, announced Tuesday, to heart. Train and enable school personnel to carry firearms. In high-risk schools station police. The NRA’s 225-page report contains dozens of recommendations to improve safety in our schools. Teachers and school administrators have charge of the nation’s students by day. They ought to have the tools to protect them. There is no reason why teachers and administrators cannot responsibly carry guns. Those who do not want to carry guns do not have to be armed, but just a few trained people in a school will act as a deterrent to violence. The evidence of recent years is that schools are the target of violence. They need to be defended.”

[Video] Law Student Open Carrying Teaches Uninformed Officer a Few Things About Rights

Portland Me Law Stud Schools Cop

” In the below video a Portland, ME law student teaches a local police officer a few things about rights.

The officer illegally stops the man, seizes his firearm, sweeps him with the loaded gun in the process, and refuses to return his gun for almost three minutes until his supervisor shows up and immediately says the student is free to go.

For those that aren’t aware, courts have ruled that the mere presence of a gun is not enough of a reason to stop and detain someone.”

Do Gun-Control Laws Control Guns?

” The gun-control controversy is only the latest of many issues to be debated almost solely in terms of fixed preconceptions, with little or no examination of hard facts.

Media discussions of gun control are dominated by two factors: the National Rifle Association and the Second Amendment. But the overriding factual question is whether gun-control laws actually reduce gun crimes in general or murder rates in particular.

There are people who have never fired a shot in their life who do not hesitate to declare how many bullets should be the limit to put into a firearm’s clip or magazine. Some say ten bullets, but New York State’s recent gun-control law specifies seven.

Virtually all gun-control advocates say that 30 bullets in a magazine is far too many for self-defense or hunting — even if they have never gone hunting and never had to defend themselves with a gun. This uninformed and self-righteous dogmatism is what makes the gun-control debate so futile and so polarizing.

Anyone who faces three home invaders, jeopardizing himself or his family, might find 30 bullets barely adequate. After all, not every bullet hits, even at close range, and not every hit incapacitates. You can get killed by a wounded man.”

GUN COMPANIES REFUSE SALES TO STATE GOVERNMENTS WITH STRICT GUN LAWS

Refuse Service

” Six gun companies have announced plans to stop selling any of their products to any government agency in states that severely limit the rights of private gun ownership.

Disappointed with New York State lawmakers and other jurisdictions around the country who have passed strict gun control legislation, the companies—composed of firearm manufacturers, gunsmiths, and sporting goods retailers—have announced these policies in the past week.

Their various statements emphasize that such laws create a class of government employees with rights and and a class of citizens without rights. Thus, they refuse to aid the enforcement of such inequality.

The announcements read: … ”

Ted Nugent Destroys Piers Morgan One More Time in New Interview

Ted v Piers

“Ninety-nine point nine percent of the gun owners of America are wonderful people that you are hanging around with here today. Perfectly safe. Perfectly harmless. Wonderful, loving, generous, giving, caring people. Would you leave us the hell alone? Go after the nut jobs, go after the murderers, because I don’t know any.”

Ex-SEAL One-Ups NRA With Tougher, Safer Plan

” His is an idea that is catching fire, though he said the heated debate over gun control is stealing time and attention away from effective prevention measures for schools. Jed Babbin, a columnist for the American Spectator and a friend of McClellan, wrote that the SEAL school defense plan would have been effective at Sandy Hook.

“Newtown school principal Dawn Hochsprung and school psychologist Mary Sherlach confronted shooter Adam Lanza, and were killed trying to stop him. Had they a TASER, perhaps the killing would have ended, and without their lives being taken,” he wrote.”

”  If you had to choose one gun—and only one gun—to get you through a disaster (be it traditional or zombie-related), what would it be? If you could have one firearm (that’s realistically available) to protect yourself, your family and your assets, what would it be and why? Here are 10 choices made by some of the editors and contributors in NRA Publications. What would you choose? Let us know. “
