Modern Media And The Destructive Representation Of Conservativism
” Although rightfully excoriated for his comments comparing public unions to ISIS, Gov. Scott Walker’s (R-Wis.) treatment by the media continues to highlight the gross disparity in the way with which conservative candidates are analyzed and represented, when compared to their liberal counterparts. Whereas Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Hillary Clinton are all hailed for their various policy proposals, as well as their personal and professional achievements, individuals like Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) are ruthlessly assailed for every quip or comment, be they contextual or otherwise.
This was patently evident in 2008 as well as 2012, and will most assuredly be applicable once again in 2016. From tales of Mitt Romney’s elementary school bullying, to reports about Paul’s “Aqua Buddha” college days, the depths to which modern media apparatuses will dredge in order to invalidate a Republican’s candidacy, surpasses even those explored by the Trieste. This is highly problematic, as it only takes an anonymous comment, erroneous claim, or an unverified accusation, in order to destroy the legitimacy of a right leaning contender. This same approach however, would be understandable if it were equally applied to both sides of the political aisle, but seldom is that ever the case.”

Now Fire The Media
” Today, twenty years after the fall of the Soviet Empire, the Left still runs the Western media. Such a monopoly guarantees massive corruption, uniform indoctrination, constant media lies, and toxic politics. It shuts the voters out of power. The result is near-suicidal policies, like Europe’s importation of forty million Muslims.
The European Union is a monolith that enforces self-sabotaging policies on nations like the UK, precisely the way Obama wants to impose a centralized bureaucratic diktat in this country. Obama is an open Eurosocialist of the Third World (Leninist) variety.
A single U.S. election victory is therefore only one small step toward reversing the new totalitarians. We can’t proclaim victory and walk away. The crumbling of the Soviet Union around 1990 gave us the illusion of victory, while the Left burrowed deeper and deeper into the vital organs of our society.
Today the Left still has a stranglehold on our mainstream media and education, Karl Marx’s “Organs of Propaganda.” Marx was a third-rate philosopher and economist, but he was a first-rate agitator. Conquering the Organs of Propaganda really works. If conservatives do not regain control of American culture this election will only be a temporary rest in a headlong decline.
Conservatives take pride in individualism, as they should. Even during the Obama years, the growth of medical travel, genomic medicine and electronic health monitoring allow us to take advantage of free medical markets outside of Obama’s reach. “

Did You Hear The Koch Brothers Just Gave A Million Bucks To NPR To Cover Healthcare?
” No, you didn’t hear about that Koch gift to NPR, because it never happened.
But now that I have your attention, let me ask you whether you heard that a different funder, who also has a strong agenda on healthcare, just gave $1.3 million to NPR to report on this topic?
No, you probably didn’t hear about that gift either, by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation—a grant that has caused zero controversy.
Come to think of it, I didn’t recall any controversy when RWJF gave National Public Radio $5.6 million to report on healthcare between 2008 and 2011, during a period when this was among the most politicized of all topics.
You’d think that somebody would at least have raised an eyebrow, given that RWJF is a strong proponent of the Affordable Care Act, as well as other healthcare policy positions on the progressive side of the spectrum.
God bless that foundation, if you ask me. But as a thought experiment, imagine if the Koch brothers had given the same amount of money to NPR to cover healthcare.
People would have gone nuts. “

American Thinker Post Of The Day
” When it comes to political “wars,” in spite of the meme perpetrated by most liberals, no one is more hawkish than modern liberals and the political party that they own, the Democrat Party. By and large since the 1960s, their efforts are summed up by one succinct and extremely accurate appellation: a war on the truth.
In the history of our nation, only the pro-slavery Democrats of the 19th century rival the political deception employed by today’s liberals that lead the modern Democrat Party. Support of everything from abortion, to gender perversions, homosexuality, pornography, a redefinition of marriage, wicked climate policies, and an enslaving welfare state have made today’s Democrat Party little more than a modern-day Mephistopheles. Instead of magic to lure their Faustian targets, today’s Democrats employ, among other things, bribery, class warfare, fear, greed, lust, propaganda, scientism, vengeance, and violence. “

What’s A GMO?
Published on Oct 9, 2014
” Critics of genetically modified organisms or GMOs claim that they pose health risks to the public. Jimmy is always interested in people who have strong opinions, so we sent a crew to one of our local farmers markets to ask people why they avoid GMOs and, more specifically, what the letters GMO stand for.

Government Desperation Is Increasing
” Government beneficence is mostly a myth based on the following assumptions:
- It is necessary.
- It is good.
- It makes outcomes better than they otherwise would be.
Point number one, the necessity of government, is true up to a point. There is arguably some limited set of functions that might better be performed jointly rather than separately. Extreme libertarians believe otherwise, suggesting there is virtually no role for government. Our Founders disagreed and provided for a quite limited role in the founding documents.
The second two conditions, at least given what our government does today, are increasingly disputed by those who look at government objectively. If these latter two become widely accepted as untrue, then the role of government will be reduced dramatically. Government will do anything it can to prevent its reduction. It is this risk which leads to government desperation. It will do whatever it can to protect its privilege and plunder.
What does government do when it is failing? Why it lies, of course, just like a criminal enterprise. It lies about anything it believes it needs to and can get away with. When you have the media running interference for you and an opposition party too cowardly to blow the whistle, that means you can lie just about anything and get away with it.”
” Even under normal conditions government fudges numbers to support its actions and policies. Government always benefits from making conditions look better than they are. A true understanding of what government does, as opposed to what it pretends to do, would mean its end, at least in any form resembling its current size, configuration and responsibilities.
Allowing government to report its own performance is worse than allowing the fox in charge of the chicken coop to report on the number and health of the chickens.”

Leaked Memo Gives Away Dems’ ‘Extreme Weather’ Talking Points
Click for PDF of memo
” Democrats are working hard to convince the public that regulations to limit carbon dioxide emissions are necessary to avoid economic and ecological catastrophe, according to a memo obtained by The Washington Post.
The memo from Senate Budget Committee Chairman Patty Murray, a Washington Democrat, tells members how to talk about global warming’s budgetary impact. The memo details how “disaster relief; transportation and infrastructure; national security and agriculture” will all be affected by global warming, reports the Post.
“ Climate change, if left unaddressed, will both weaken economic growth and impose additional direct budgetary costs on the federal government,” Murray wrote in the memo sent out Friday. “As a result, climate change poses an increasing threat to the federal government’s already challenging long-term fiscal outlook.”
Murray’s memo puts a lot of focus on budgetary impacts due to “extreme weather” — a major talking point of President Obama during his second term. Murray argues that global warming will increase extreme weather events, like hurricanes and droughts, therefore increasing disaster relief, infrastructure and other types of spending.”

The Most Depressing Chart You’ll See All Day
” The American people are low-information voters.
But their lack of information doesn’t just apply to the candidates they vote for or the issues that are important to them; it also applies to some of the most basic founding principles of this country — up to and including the First Amendment.
The First Amendment Center has conducted yearly studies asking people their opinions of certain freedoms and how far they extend. But before they get to that point, they ask people to simply name the freedoms enumerated in the First Amendment.
The results, as the below (see above) chart shows, are somewhere between depressing and less-than-inspiring.”
It comes as no surprise that the more the State spends on “education” the less informed our youth become . For two generations the education system has been moving away from basic history and civics and into all of the touchy-feely , propaganda that serves to minimize the accomplishments of our forebearers and the individual and consolidate the belief in the all-powerful State , all with the help of our compliant “watchdogs” in the media …
The State and their media lackies are proceeding with a systematic curriculum of misinformation designed with the specific intention of making the “common folk” forget about their basic rights under the Constitution and allow power to be usurped and aggregated in the hands of the politicians and the bureaucrats , all in the name of the “public good” .

Common Core Debate Leads To Mom’s Suspension From Son’s School
” As California prepares to adopt the new state educational standards known as Common Core this fall, more parents are speaking out against them. Now one local mom says she was suspended from her son’s school for doing so.
” I was outraged,” 12-year-old Christopher Duran said.
The boy couldn’t believe it when he found out his mom had been suspended from Mark Twain Elementary School.
” Why would the principal sign a withdrawal of consent to my mom, and furthermore, why would she send the police to the house?” Christopher asked.
That withdrawal of consent, delivered by a police officer, banned Christopher’s mom from school for 14 days. Last week when we asked the school district why, they told us Katherine Duran was disrupting the school.
” It appears went a little too far with regards to how she distributed information at school sites, distributing information to children directly,” Sacramento City Unified School District spokesperson Gabe Ross said last Thursday.
” To blame me and say that I had personally handed a child that information on school property during school hours and disrupting the school. No, none of that is true,” Christopher’s mom Katherine O’Neal Duran said.”

In the Obama gang’s Herculean efforts to salvage their namesake they have: called kids “knuckleheads” (Michelle) , said that “Americans were too stupid to use the internet” (Dingy Harry Reid) , said that a scraped knee would cost “thousands of dollars in the emergency room” (Valerie Jarrett) , it will cost “less than your monthly cell phone bill” (Obama) , less than a “pair of gym shoes” (Michelle) , told us “it is all about choice and opportunity and freedom” (Crazy Joe Biden) among other bald-faced lies .
All of these lies have been put forth by the various parties during a media saturation campaign facilitated by the likes of Saturday Night Live , The View , Pop Sugar , Telemundo , C-SPAN , Ellen , Funny or Die , Jimmy Fallon , not to mention endless free proselytizing by the mainstream “news” organizations and yet the people still know the truth … we’ve been screwed over in a big way .
Yet they wonder why all of their insults , cajoling and lies haven’t managed to persuade us of the wisdom of our “betters” . Such sheer volume of chutzpah , condescension and deceit has seldom been displayed to the voters by the ruling class in this country .
This video is a best of the lies compilation that must be seen to be believed .

Washington Post Busted!
” A Washington Post story purporting to expose the Koch brothers as behind-the-scenes beneficiaries of the Keystone Pipeline has been exposed as an utterly false propaganda operation, hilariously wrong and politically malicious. Even worse, one of the writers behind the story is married to a political operative in the left wing Koch-demonization machine.
The Washington Post was recently purchased by Jeff Bezos of Amazon, who ought to take a hard look at the reporters and editors who collaborated with the left wing smear machine, and while he is at it, should send a note of thanks to John Hinderaker, the blogger at Powerline, who exposed the rot in his new media operation.
Hinderaker’s work is thorough, grounded in fact, and devastating. I urge you to read the whole thing. “
Hinderacker exposes the fraud here …
” So the fundamental point of the Post story, which relied uncritically on a goofball far-left report, is dead wrong. Moreover, the Post story itself acknowledges that the tar sands encompass 35 million acres, so Koch’s 1.1 million comprise less than 3% of the total. The whole point of this exercise is to make the Keystone Pipeline all about Koch, and that premise is implausible from the start.
But there is much more. The Post more or less endorses IFG’s theory that the Keystone pipeline somehow would benefit Koch, even though the Post notes that there is zero evidence to that effect:
Koch’s oil production in northern Alberta is “negligible,” according to industry sources and quarterly publications of the provincial government. Moreover, Koch has not reserved any space in the Keystone XL pipeline, a process that usually takes place before a pipeline is built. The pipeline also does not run anywhere near Koch’s refining facilities. And TransCanada, owner of the Keystone routes, says Koch is not expected to be one of the pipeline’s customers.”

Bloomberg’s Latest Stats On School Gun Violence Ignore Reality
” Are schools and colleges dangerous places, with lots of gun violence?
Some groups paint a picture of these places being particularly unsafe. Supposedly both murders and firearm suicides are very common at educational institutions. Last Wednesday, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s two groups, Moms Demand Gun Sense in America and Mayors Against Illegal Guns, jointly released a report that received massive , uncritical , news , coverage .
They claimed that 44 shootings occurred in schools and colleges nationwide since the Newtown, Conn. massacre on Dec. 14, 2012 and Feb. 10 of this year. Out of the 44 shootings, a total of 28 died. To dramatize their numbers, Bloomberg’s groups emphasized that one of these attacks occurred every 10 days.
But their statistics are not what they seem. Included in the numbers are suicides. Also included are late night shootings taking place in school parking lots, on their grounds or even off school property, often involving gangs. As “shootings,” they also include any incident where shots were fired, even when nobody was injured.”
To illustrate their biased point of view in pursuit of their anti-gun agenda they have grossly misrepresented what constitutes a “school shooting” along the very same lines they use when talking about the deaths of “children” from guns . Below are some of what Bloomberg considers “school shootings” …
” • A student at Eastern Florida State College retrieved his gun from his car when two men attacked him. One of the men was striking the student with a pool cue, and the student fired his gun wounding him. The gun was legally stored in the student’s car and the police found that he had acted in self-defense.
• A 19-year-old was killed at 9pm in a field near the Hillside Elementary School in San Leandro, California.
• A professor at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology committed suicide in an empty classroom.
• A 23-year-old man committed suicide late at night on school grounds when no one was around the Algona High/Middle School in Iowa.
• A 38-year-old man was shot to death at 2am on the grounds of the Clarksville, Tennessee High School.
• A 19-year-old man committed suicide in the parking lot of a Portland, Maine high school. No one at the school was threatened.”
But even when the Statist media bends the statistics to suit their agenda they still cannot prove their contention that schools are becoming increasingly commonplace .
” Contrary to what many people believe, high school shootings have actually been falling over the last two decades . To illustrate this let’s compare the five school years 1992-93 to 1996-97 with the five school years from 2008-09 to 2012-13. During the first period, the number of non-gang, non-suicide shooting deaths averaged 25 a year. During the recent five-year period, it averaged less than half that, 10 per year – and that figure does include the horrific Newtown massacre.
To put these numbers in perspective, there are about 50 million young people between the ages of 6 and 17. Another 21 million , people are enrolled in colleges.”
It’s all about the narrative … truth doesn’t enter into it . The story continues at Fox News

What Journalists Really Think — And What The Public Thinks About Them
” Media Bias 101 summarizes decades of survey research showing how journalists vote, what journalists think, what the public thinks about the media, and what journalists say about media bias. The following links take you to dozens of different surveys, with key findings and illustrative charts.
Part One: What Journalists Think
Surveys over the past 30 years have consistently found that journalists — especially those at the highest ranks of their profession — are much more liberal than rest of America. They are more likely to vote liberal, more likely to describe themselves as liberal, and more likely to agree with the liberal position on policy matters than members of the general public.
Part Two: How the Public Views the Media
A wide variety of public opinion polls have documented the fact that most Americans now see the media as politically biased, inaccurate, intrusive, and a tool of powerful interests. By a nearly three-to-one margin, those who see political bias believe the media bend their stories to favor liberals.
Part Three: What Journalists Say about Media Bias
Over the years, the Media Research Center has catalogued the views of journalists on the subject of bias. In spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, many journalists still refuse to acknowledge that most of the establishment media tilts to the left. Even so, a number of journalists have admitted that the majority of their brethren approach the news from a liberal angle. “
This is one article that the reader does not want to miss . It should be bookmarked and saved as a research tool for all bloggers and independent thinkers as it is a comprehensive collection of links to studies and documentation amassed over thirty years demonstrating the corruption of the “fifth estate” and it’s collusion with the state . Each of the headings listed above is just a lead-in to the collected links pertaining to each of the subjects described . The entire study is available as a PDF download at MRC .

Epic Narrative Fail: Laughably Few Voters Believe Income Inequality Is The Government’s Business
” The “post-partisan” president revealed his true left-wing radical colors recently with his completely predictable pivot away from ObamaCare and economic failure (not to mention all those “phony scandals”) to something near and dear to his community organizer heart: income inequality.
But the overwhelming majority of voters aren’t buying it. Only 13% of a random sample of 1,010 registered voters contacted by Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) at the behest of Fox News believe income inequality is any of the government’s business.”
As the chart from Gallup shows below , the host of “problems” that the politicians and the media swear that the people are demanding solutions to are , in reality quite low down on the totem pole . Can you say “Squirrel” boys and girls ? Note also that the problems that ARE of chief concern to the public , by and large , are government caused in the first place .

NBC Silent On $7.3 Million From Soros For Special Anchor’s Liberal Report
” Not only did NBC allow their special anchor Maria Shriver to promote her own report on “Nightly News,” they did it without disclosing that it was made in partnership with a group that liberal billionaire George Soros gave $7.3 million to.
In “The Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Pushes Back From the Brink,” which was published on Jan. 11, an outspokenly liberal nun, Sister Joan Chittister, took aim at religious attitudes in America that “devalue” and marginalize women.
Shriver was invited to the White House on Jan. 14 to present her report to President Barack Obama, whom she promoted as being “sympathetic” to working mothers. On NBC “Nightly News” that same night, Shriver contrasted a supportive Obama against a Congress that is supposedly dragging its feet on the matter. “While President Obama has pledged to fix the problem, Congress has been slow to respond,” Shriver said.”

The Left Is Too Smart To Fail
” Manufactured intelligence is the smarmy quality that oozes out of a New York Times column by Thomas Friedman, Maureen Dowd, Frank Bruni and the rest of the gang who tell you nothing meaningful while dazzling you with references to international locations, political events and pop culture, tying together absurdities into one synergistic web of nonsense that feels meaningful.
We all know that George W. Bush was a moron. And we all know that Obama is a genius. We have been told by Valerie Jarrett, by his media lapdogs and even by the great man himself that he is just too smart to do his job. And it’s reasonable that a genius would be bored by the tedious tasks involved in running the most powerful nation on earth.
But what is “smart” anyway? What makes Obama a genius? It’s not his IQ. It’s probably not his grades or we would have seen them already. It’s that like so many of the thought leaders and TED talkers, he makes his supporters feel smart. The perception of intelligence is really a reflection.
Smart once used to be an unreachable quality. Einstein was proclaimed a genius, because it was said that no one understood his theories. Those were undemocratic times when it was assumed that the eggheads playing with the atom had to be a lot smarter than us or we were in big trouble.
Intelligence has since been democratized. Smart has been redistributed. Anyone can get an A for effort. And the impulse of manufactured intelligence is not smart people, but people who make us feel smart. That is why Neil deGrasse Tyson, another obsessively self-promoting mediocrity like Carl Sagan, is now the new face of science. Sagan made science-illiterate liberals feel smart while pandering to their biases. Tyson does the same thing for the Twitter generation.
Self-esteem is the new intelligence. Obama’s intelligence was manufactured by pandering to the biases and tastes of his supporters. The more he shared their biases and tastes, the smarter he seemed to be and the smarter they felt by having so much in common with such a smart man.”
Read the whole brilliant piece from Daniel Greenfield and read this companion piece from CainTV that further explains the farce that constitutes the meme of the “Elitists” who know better and thus require our unquestioned acquiescence …
” Take a look at the organization’s own case for why it is not elitist. Classic:
How do you decide who gets admitted to the live TED events?
Our goal is a diverse community of amazing people from numerous fields. We also try to maintain a balance between longstanding TEDsters and invaluable newcomers. We are admitting around 1,500 people to TED, and a year ahead of each conference there is already demand from far more people than will fit. We give preference to people who:
- are curious, passionate and open-minded
- have done something fascinating with their lives
- show evidence of creativity, innovation, insight or brilliance
- would be wonderful to sit next to at lunch and have a conversation with
- are well placed to help make a difference in the world
- have made a contribution to the TED community already
Translation:
You get to attend when you’re part of the elite crowd as defined by them. It’s not that different from trying to get into a fraternity or sorority, except that the kegger only lasts 18 minutes. The pretentiousness is pretty much the same.
Why does any of this matter? Because it explains how people are capable of believing nonsense that simple facts demonstrate to be nonsense. Liberal policies have failed to solve poverty, failed to generate economic growth, failed to make us energy-independent and are now in the process of making a total fiasco of health care. Look at the real-world results and you can come to no other conclusion.”
