Karma Is A B*tch: Check Out What Happened To The Jerk Who BULLIED A Chik-Fil-A Employee

” When Chik-Fil-A  chief operating officer Dan T. Cathy made a series of comments opposing same-sex marriage, it caused a media firestorm.  Gay rights activists called for protests and boycotts of the chain, and even went as far as vandalizing some fast food stores. One man in particular took it upon himself to express his discontent in the most mature way possible, verbally attacking a sweet female employee who had nothing to do with the controversy.

37-year-old Adam Smith recorded himself being hateful and obnoxious to the employee and posted it to his YouTube channel.

Apparently he thought that he was going to get away with harassing the employee without a problem, he thought wrong. He was immediately fired for his intolerance and disgusting behavior.

He said at the time he was earning $200,000 annually and had over $1 million in stock options.

“ It was taken when I lost my employment,” he said.

After losing his job, Smith, his wife Amy and their four children also lost their home. They were forced to sell and give away their possessions and move into an RV. A few months later, Smith found a new CFO job in Portland, Oregon.

Smith thought he was home free until his new boss caught wind that he was the hateful man from the Chik-Fil-A drive-thru video. He was immediately fired from that job as well. Smith said in subsequent job interviews, he was very honest about the video and while prospective employers seemed empathetic and understanding in the end the companies would rescind the offers saying they didn’t want the distraction.”

A Frustrated And Angry West Virginia Has Been Cutting Ties With Its Reliably Democratic Roots

West Virginia

” Ordinary West Virginians used to look to Washington with something close to reverence. It was a partner in good times, a lifeline in bad ones, a powerful ally against the big corporations that came for its coal and timber. By some measures, West Virginia relies more on federal money than any other state.

But increasingly, it also has become an extreme example of the hostility that shows up in every national poll when people are asked how they feel about the federal government. Many here now speak of Washington as an enemy that threatens their economy and their way of life, that traps them into dependency.

Washington’s 100 percent against us,” said M.E. Walker, a retired road builder who lives in Pence Springs in Summers County. “They don’t like our jobs. They don’t like our attitudes.”

Todd Starnes Reports

” A 19-year Air Force veteran who was relieved of his duties because he disagreed with his openly gay commander over gay marriage is now facing a formal investigation after he told me his story.

Senior Master Sgt. Phillip Monk found himself at odds with his Lackland Air Force Base commander after he objected to her plans to severely punish an instructor who had expressed religious objections to homosexuality. During the conversation, his commander ordered him to share his personal views on homosexuality.

“I was relieved of my position because I don’t agree with my commander’s position on gay marriage,” he told me. “We’ve been told that if you publicly say that homosexuality is wrong, you are in violation of Air Force policy.” “

Next 10 Amendments: Eliminate the Electoral College?

” Should Americans be allowed to directly elect a president, or does the Electoral College represent the best way to fairly select a leader? Let us know what you think in our continuing debate about the Next 10 Amendments to the Constitution.

The issue of how the president and vice president are elected was a key part of the debates at the Constitutional Convention in 1787. The compromise reached in Philadelphia appeased fears from smaller states about not having a direct role in the election process.

As part of our Next 10 Amendments project, we’ve asked Constitution Daily readers to give us their opinions on possible new amendments. You can see other topics below, and people have made a lot of good points, in a civil way.

The Party of Surrender

” From RNC honcho Reince Priebus, from the senator from Swing-State Central Rob Portman, and even from the great Charles Murray, the same mournful dirge echoes through the cavernous emptiness of the Republican big tent: Give it up, losers — give it up on illegal immigration, gay marriage, abortion, and maybe Americans under 30, 50, whatever, will consider voting for you, or at any rate consider finding you marginally less repellent.

Maybe. But I’m a wee bit skeptical. As the New York Post’s film critic Kyle Smith tweeted: “Just a wild guess, but if we go all-out for gay marriage, I’m thinking the liberals will come up with another reason to hate us.”

Undoubtedly. As recently as 2000, when Vermont became the first state to legalize same-sex “civil unions,” that was the enlightened, progressive position. A mere 13 years later, to support “civil unions” is to be a “homophobe” and a “hater.” Where will received wisdom be in another 13 years?”

“AP: Black Pastors Say ‘Stay Home’ Election Day

“Some black clergy see no good presidential choice between a Mormon candidate and one who supports gay marriage, so they are telling their flocks to stay home on Election Day. That’s a worrisome message for the nation’s first African-American president, who can’t afford to lose any voters from his base in a tight race.

The pastors say their congregants are asking how a true Christian could back same-sex marriage, as President Barack Obama did in May. As for Republican Mitt Romney, the first Mormon nominee from a major party, congregants are questioning the theology of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its former ban on men of African descent in the priesthood.”

What ever happened to ” Dissent is patriotic “ ?

“Jane Pitt, mother of actor Brad Pitt, has been scared into silence by the hate-filled, vulgar and even violent reaction to her public assertion that Barack Obama is “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”

Pitt has even been the subject of death threats following her letter to the editor of Missouri’s Springfield News-Leader in which she asserted failure to vote for Republican presumptive presidential candidate Mitt Romney constituted a vote for Obama . “
