UNBELIEVABLE VIDEO FROM AMERICAN LUGER IN SOCHI: IS THERE A WOLF IN MY HALL?

” “I’m pretty sure this is a wolf wandering my hall in Sochi,” Kate Hansen says on herYouTube page.

SOCHI ROUNDING UP, KILLING STRAY DOGS:

The Olympic city has a dog problem. Thousands of stray canines wander the streets and suburbs of Sochi.

They can be seen loping through the recently completed parks and housing developments that have sprung up around what was once a sleepy Black Sea resort.

In the countdown to the Winter Games, Russian animal rights activists have accused city authorities of ramping up a campaign to exterminate street dogs through the use of poison.

Yulia Krasova says she witnessed the long, agonizing death of a street dog when she walked out of a movie theater in Sochi two weeks ago.”At first I thought someone beat the dog,” she recalled. “The dog jumped up and started running around in circles. Then she fell down and started spitting up … I called the veterinarian. He said there is a 100% guarantee the dog was poisoned.” “

Watch The Sochi Winter Olympics Turn Violent In One Gif

The olympics in Sochi have taken a turn for the worse

Thanks to The Daily Caller

If You Liked Communism You’ll Love Sochi

” After reading Jesse Meyerson’s Salon essay last week telling us why communism isn’t all that bad (“Why you’re wrong about communism: 7 huge misconceptions about it”), I immediately ran into my privately-owned kitchen, filled up the sink with non-toxic tap water and gave my still-living dogs a bath.

Why? Because that’s more than any citizen living in communist-era Russia could ever dream of doing.

I also did this in honor of the 2014 Winter Olympics that would be on TV later that night.”

” Unfortunately for Meyerson, his column now syncs perfectly with the ever-increasing horror stories emerging about the deplorable conditions in the formerly communist city of Sochi. Meyerson says communism and its legacy aren’t as bad as some make out. Sochi’s day-to-day existence says otherwise.

Meyerson defends the claim, “Only communist economies rely on state violence.” Beneath the subtitle, Meyerson explains that, “Communism necessarily distributes property universally.”

Universally filled with trash and poor living conditions, that is. Unless, of course, you’re Russia’s president and can build a $400 million amusement park the locals call “Putin World.”

From The DailyCurrant Comes Word Of A Tragedy

” The man responsible for operating the Olympic Rings during last night’s Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Russia was found dead today.

According to local reports the body of Boris Avdeyev was found his hotel room early this morning with multiple stab wounds.

Avdeyev was a technical specialist responsible for the Olympic Ring spectacle, which embarrassingly malfunctioned last night. Five animatronic snowflakes were supposed to transform into Olympic Rings. The first four functioned properly but the fifth snowflake failed to change shape.

Although his body was badly mangled and the wounds were consistent with a struggle, so far officials say they don’t suspect foul play.

“ Sure there were stab wounds and bruises all over the body,” admits the lead investigator on the case. “But who knows what caused them. Maybe he tripped and fell on a set of knives. Right now we’re ruling this an accidental death.”

Sochi Security Report

Sochi SITREP Part 4

” People on the national news, Twitter and elsewhere are very focused on the borderline “third world” conditions to be found in Sochi, where the Winter Olympics begin tomorrow. Though unappetizing, the presence of dingy yellow tap water is not in our mind nearly as serious as the continued terror threat – though Putin’s government continues to downplay it. We hope bad plumbing and a scarcity of lightbulbs are all the athletes have to deal with, but we’ll see. There are more than “direct action threats” to worry about – remember, Sochi is closer to Chechnya than LA is to San Francisco, and those Jihadis have a proven track record for murderous efficiency. Here’s the latest Sochi SITREP from Groz. Mad Duo

Sochi SITREP Pt 4

In the past week and a half we have witnessed a drastic shift in the operational tempo of both Russian Security Forces and the Islamic Caucasus Emirate.  The series of dramatic counter terror operations by the Russians have ground to a halt.  ICE Jihadis have seemingly ceased attacks in Dagestan.  Information or intelligence releases from the Russian government has also been scarce.  So what is happening in the so-called “Ring of Steel” and the Caucasus region as a whole?  Have the Russian Security Services annihilated ICE, as Vladimir Putin hailed in his New Year speech?  Were Dmitry Medvedev’s statements on Olympic Security in contrast to that of the West correct?  Let us begin our analysis of the situation – the reason for the lack of action in the last week is much more sinister than any of these assumptions.

Significant Events in the Past Week

The Russian National Anti-terror Committee or (NAK) has finally released positive identification of the Volgograd suicide bombers.  The two bombers were identified as Asker Samdov and Suleyman Magomedov.  NAK also stated that the two had operated out of Buynaksk, and that two accomplices had also been arrested in Dagestan.  Russian immigration officials also shed light on the arrests of over a dozen Al Qaeda or AQ linked terror suspects in the last few months, including an Egyptian AQ member in October, and fifteen members of At Takfir Wal Hijra (an AQ affiliate founded in Egypt) back in November.

The large number of foreign Jihadis coming into Russia does not bode well for the Olympic security situation. It lends authenticity to Doku Umarov’s calls for Jihadis to converge on Sochi.  The names of more potential Black Widow suicide bombers and their support elements have  also been released.  These individuals include Jhannet Tsakhaeva from Dagestan, Oksana Aslanova from Turkmenistan, and two males suspects named Ruslan Saufutdinov and Murad Musaev.  This press release will surely add to the hysteria of Black Widow attacks in the Western Media. “

Journalists At Sochi Are Live-Tweeting Their Hilarious And Gross Hotel Experiences

SochiReporters Tweet

” Amid continued debate over whether or not Sochi is prepared to host the 2014 Olympics (here are 15 alarming signs that Russia might not be ready) reporters from around the world are starting to check into local hotels — to their apparent grief. Some journalists arriving in Sochi are describing appalling conditions in the housing there, where only six of nine media hotels are ready for guests. Hotels are still under construction. Water, if it’s running, isn’t drinkable. One German photographer told the AP over the weekend that his hotel still had stray dogs and construction workers wandering in and out of rooms.”

US, Russian Forces Hunt Jihadist Widow Feared Inside Olympic Zone

” U.S. counterterrorism operatives are helping Russian security agents in the hunt for four female potential terrorists, including a “white widow” — the wife of a dead terrorist — who could already be inside the massive security zone set up for next month’s winter Olympics.

Ruzanna Ibragimova, the 22-year-old widow of a jihadist killed by Russian security forces, is believed to have traveled from Dagestan to Sochi, according to a Russian security bulletin obtained by FoxNews.com, along with photos of her. The bulletin and photos were distributed by the Russian security force FSB and Sochi security officials to U.S. and other security agencies late last week.”

Shooting… Winter Olympic Style

” Biathlon combines cross-country skiing with rifle shooting. I am in complete envy of A) Anyone who cross-country skis, I tried it once… it was not for me! B) Anyone who can accurately shoot a rifle while cross-country skiing! “Biathletes” are amazingly talented and fit atheletes.

The physical demands of this Olympic Sport are far above what we would experience in the woods.

They must maintain top physical shape, superior cross-country skiing skills, and be an expert marksman. What is not to love about the sport of Biathlon!”

” The Biathlon originated as a training exercise for Norwegian soldiers. It was demonstrated in the 1928, 1936, and the 1948 Olympic games, but it did not gain official recognition until several years later because the small number of countries competing in Biathlon could not agree on the rules. “

The above video is a couple years old but provides the viewer with a good idea of the training involved in the sport of Biathlon . Tough stuff , that , and if you are a shooter you may want to help support the US Olympic Biathlon Team or the Shooting Team .

On a lighter note the Russians have created a new wrinkle in the sport … Tank Biathlon . Have a look at the video below .

Published on Sep 3, 2013

” Tank biathlon is a mechanized kind of sport invented by the Russian Military. It is supposed to utilize the complex training of tank crews including their rough terrain passing skills combined with the ability to provide accurate and rapid fire whilst on-route.

Tanks go on a three-round route of 6-10 kilometers. During the first round crews fire at targets positioned at a distances of 1800, 1700, 1500 meters. The second round firing is at targets imitating an anti-tank mortar (RPG) squad and an infantry unit – these targets are at a distance of 600–700 meters, and must be engaged with a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. The third round targeting is at an anti-tank gun and ATGM unit by use of the NSV 12.7mm remotely controlled anti-aircraft Heavy machine gun at a distance of 1200 meters.

Like in usual biathlon firing misses lead to an extra round, 500 meters long. On the final round tanks have to go through various terrain obstacles, here an error (missed or crashed obstacle) lead to a 10-seconds increment to crew’s final timing.

The first such contests ran in several of Russia’s Military Districts with final part taking place at the Alabino proving ground on 2013 August 11–17, with crews from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia invited for the contest.

On a meeting between heads of Russian Federation and USA defense ministries the American side confirmed its participation in a tank biathlon contest which will eventually take place in 2014. Crews from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Italy and Kazakhstan have confirmed their participation as well. “

Second Blast Hits Russia, Raising Olympic Fears

” A deadly suicide bombing at a crowded railroad station in southern Russia on Sunday, followed by a blast in a trolley bus on Monday in the same city, raised the specter of a new wave of terrorism six weeks before the Winter Olympics in Sochi.”

” On Monday morning a blast struck a trolley bus in the city, killing at least 15 people, including an infant, according to preliminary reports. Photographs posted by Russian news organizations showed that the force of the blast tore open the bus and shattered windows nearby. Nearly two dozen others were wounded in what officials immediately described as a suicide bombing.”

Woman Suicide Bomber Kills 14 At Russian Train Station

” Russian officials say they believe a female suicide bomber caused an explosion that killed at least 14 people Sunday at the entrance to a train station in Volgograd. The latest attack in southern Russia occurred about 650 kilometers northeast of Sochi, which will host the Winter Olympics in February.

Russia’s federal investigative committee says the bomber walked into a busy train station in Volgograd and detonated explosives just in front of metal detectors.

Vladimir Markin, who heads Russia’s Investigative Committee, said that this explosion was the equivalent of 10 kilograms of TNT.”

Olympic Torch Launches Into Orbit With New Space Station Crew

” A torch for the 2014 Sochi Olympics lifted off for the International Space Station on Wednesday night, accompanied by three new crew members for the orbiting outpost.

Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin, NASA astronaut Rick Mastracchio and Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) launched on Russia’s Soyuz TMA-11Mspacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Their Soyuz FG rocket climbed spaceward at 11:14 p.m., marking the start of the crew’s four-orbit, six-hour journey to the station.

The booster and its launch pad was specially outfitted for this flight to celebrate the torch being aboard and the 22nd Winter Games being hosted in Sochi, Russia. The rocket and the protective shroud shielding the Soyuz TMA-11M spacecraft were decorated with Olympic-inspired graphics. The launch pad was equipped with metal Olympic rings.”
