Burglar Finds Child Sex Abuse On Tapes He Took, So He Points Out Suspect

” If you doubt there’s an unwritten code of honor among criminals — governing certain behavior that’s just not permitted — consider this.

Police say a burglar in southern Spain who stole an old Super 8 camera and tapes from a home discovered to his horror the graphic video content of a man sexually abusing boys.

The burglar put three tapes in a brown envelope, hid them under a parked car, and then called police from a public phone, directing them to go find it.

Inside the envelope, police found a note with the home address of the suspected pedophile and a message from the burglar:

” I’ve had the misfortune that these tapes have fallen into my hands and I feel obligated to turn them in so that you can do your job and put that (expletive) in prison for life.” “

400,000-Year-Old Clue To Human Origins

” Scientists have found the oldest DNA evidence yet of humans’ biological history. But instead of neatly clarifying human evolution, the finding is adding new mysteries.

In a paper in the journal Nature, scientists reported Wednesday that they had retrieved ancient human DNA from a fossil dating back about 400,000 years, shattering the previous record of 100,000 years.

The fossil, a thigh bone found in Spain, had previously seemed to many experts to belong to a forerunner of Neanderthals. But its DNA tells a very different story. It most closely resembles DNA from an enigmatic lineage of humans known as Denisovans. Until now, Denisovans were known only from DNA retrieved from 80,000-year-old remains in Siberia, 4,000 miles east of where the new DNA was found.”

‘What Joy To Set Police Speed Guns Off’: Spanish Driver Whose Derailed Train Killed At Least 80 People While Travelling At 120mph In 50mph Zone Posted Boasting Facebook Photo Of Speedometer

” A driver of the Spanish train which hurtled off the tracks and smashed into a wall, killing at least 80 people, previously boasted of speeding on his Facebook page.

Francisco Jose Garzon, one of the drivers on the train which crashed, leaving up to 141 people injured including one Briton, is reported to have posted a picture on the site of a train speedometer at 125mph last year.

According to reports he also boasted about how fast he was going. The webpage has disappeared after images appeared on Spanish TV and newspaper websites.”

“Alongside the photo, which was published in March last year, he wrote: ‘What joy it would be to get level with the police and then go past them making their speed guns go off. Ha ha!.’

It came after a Spanish court said one of the drivers of the train was being held in custody in hospital.”

Video game inspires 19-year-old man to kill millionaire father

” After suffering “constant humiliation” from the treatment of his father, the 19-year-old son ended the 57-year-old man’s life using a spiked bat, similar to that used in a video game he had been playing.

Last Friday, after confessing to the cold-blooded murder of 57-year-old Andreu Coll Bennássar, Andreu Coll Tur together with his friend and accomplice, 20-year-old Francisco Abas Rodriguez have been remanded in custody by a Spanish judge on Mallorca , without bail . ”

Horrific Scenes On The Streets Of Pamplona As Three Men Are Brutally Gored In Bloodiest Day Yet Of This Year’s Running Of The Bulls

” He was running excitedly for his life with 1,200lb of raging bull on his tail. And then he tripped.

In that split second yesterday, this young thrill-seeker’s carnival adventure turned into a horror show that put him inches from death.

Before screaming crowds and live on TV, he was trampled, tossed and crushed, gored in the groin and impaled at one stage on the bull’s horn.

He spent 40 seconds at the mercy of the massive black beast before helpers managed to drag him to safety.

Incredibly, he survived. But yesterday  the incident reignited controversy over this year’s Running of the Bulls festival in Pamplona, Spain, on what became its bloodiest day.

Three people were gored and at least six badly injured in the run, celebrated annually by participants from all over the world and universally condemned  by campaigners against animal cruelty. ”

” The plane carrying Bolivian President Evo Morales was rerouted to Austria after various European countries refused to let it cross their airspace because of suspicions that NSA leaker Edward Snowden was on board, Bolivian officials said Tuesday.

Officials in both Austria and Bolivia said that Snowden was not on the plane, which was taking Morales home from a summit in Russia, where he had suggested that his government would be willing to consider granting asylum to the American.

A furious Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca said France and Portugal would have to explain why they canceled authorization for the plane, claiming that the decision had put the president’s life at risk.

In a midnight press conference, Bolivian Vice President Alvaro Garcia said that not only France and Portugal, but also Italy and Spain were denying the plane permission to fly through their airspace.

“We want to declare very firmly that it was an American story that Edward Snowden was on this flight,” said Saavedra at the VIP terminal of Vienna’s airport. “This is a plot by the U.S. government to destroy president Morales’ image. We say this simply is a lie. And we will confirm this.”

Yikes! Scary Base Jumping Mishap

” Maria Steinmayr’s leap in the BASE Jump Extreme World Championship in Benidorm, Spain, took an ugly turn when her parachute opened the wrong way and she was slammed into the building.

She eventually found a landing spot on the 10th-floor balcony of a room where the guests had helpfully left the sliding door unlocked. A British couple down the hall heard her banging on doors for help and tended to her many cuts until medics arrived. The worst of it for the Austrian jumper: a broken nose. Oh, and that her helmet cam ran out of batteries and didn’t capture the adventure.”

Michelle Obama Vacation Maven

” Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia are looking at an extended vacation on Martha’s Vineyard this summer, according to a report in The Boston Globe. The Globe might have something here – it’s almost a local Vineyard paper, after all.

According to The Globe the First Couple is looking at a house near Farm Neck, in Oak Bluffs, which they’ve visited in the past.  The particular house they’ve stayed in previously, Blue Heron Farm, “Up Island” in Chilmark, has since been sold. So that piece of real estate is probably out.

If Michelle and the kids do opt for a lengthy Vineyard stay it could become fodder for critics. First Family vacations are a fraught issue, as it’s easy to portray them as insensitive in some manner. The Vineyard is an expensive and exclusive area (as well as kind of Democratic – didn’t the Clintons go there?) so it’s likely that at some point some talk radio host will go after this plan as demeaning to US workers still suffering in a slowly recovering economy.”

US Forces On Alert In Response To Libya

” Marines and other U.S. forces in Europe are on a heightened state of alert in response to a deteriorating security situation in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, two U.S. officials said Friday.

The alert order applies to a U.S. special operations team based in Stuttgart, Germany, as well as a Marine group of air and ground forces based in Moron, Spain, according to the officials, who were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The forces alerted in Europe are under U.S. Africa Command, which acquired the special operations team in the fall. The command did not have a similar team – or the Marines in Spain – available last September for possible use in response to the deadly attack on the US diplomatic facilities in the Libyan city of Benghazi.”

Wealth Tax To Pay For EU Bail-Outs

” Senior advisers to Chancellor Angela Merkel are pushing for better-off households to pay towards the cost of any future bail-outs for the weaker members of the single currency.

The proposals, from members of Germany’s council of economic experts, raise the prospect of taxes being imposed on property in a country like Spain if its government was forced to seek a bail-out.

The council, known as the “Five Wise Men”, is often used to test new policies that are later adopted officially.

The German suggestion is the latest sign that Berlin is intent on imposing even tougher rules on weaker southern euro members in exchange for using its economic might to support their finances.

As well as inflaming tensions between Germany and its smaller southern partners, the suggestion could also mean that Britons with holiday homes are dragged deeper into the eurozone crisis.”

Spanish Company Offers Ultimate In Mattress Money Storage (video)

Madrid – While some people joke that it is safer to keep your money under your mattress, one Spanish company has taken the issue more seriously and is producing mattresses, complete with built-in safe.

As the economic crisis continues in Spain and more people distrust the banks, this Spanish company came up with the perfect solution.

Paco Santos, the creator of this new mattress told NPR, “You see, we’ve got big economic problems in Spain, and people have really lost confidence in the banks.”

The company, Descanso Santos Suenos, promotes its product “Caja de Ahorros Mi Colchón” or “My Mattress Safe” with the slogan “Your money is close to you.” “

Cyprus Bail-Out: Savers Will Be Raided To Save Euro In Future Crises, Says Eurozone Chief

” Savings accounts in Spain, Italy and other European countries will be raided if needed to preserve Europe’s single currency by propping up failing banks, a senior eurozone official has announced.

The new policy will alarm hundreds of thousands of British expatriates who live and have transferred their savings, proceeds from house sales and other assets to eurozone bank accounts in countries such as France, Spain and Italy.

The euro fell on global markets after Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the Dutch chairman of the eurozone, announced that the heavy losses inflicted on depositors in Cyprus would be the template for future banking crises across Europe.”

The Pirate Bay: Screw It, We’re Going to North Korea (Except, Probably Not)

The Pirate Bay: Screw It, We're Going to North Korea (Except, Probably Not)

” The Pirate Bay may have found a new way to keep its servers up and running amidst increasing adversity from European governments and copyright groups. North Korea to the rescue! Except, you know, it’s probably a hoax.

TorrentFreak reports that just last week, The Pirate Bay was shut down and forced to move its servers from Sweden to Norway and Spain. But the party only lasted a few days in Norway before a local copyright group started waving virtual pitchforks, and those servers went dark, too.

According to a post on The Pirate Bay’s blog, it has been offered “virtual asylum” by the North Korean government.”

Anti-Semitism is rampant in Europe and it goes hand in hand with the de facto establishment of Sha’aria law that is taking over as Old Europe succumbs to the immmigrant birth tidal wave that is fast making the French , Germans , Dutch and other continental peoples extinct .

” Spain’s foreign minister says Spain will vote in favor of recognition of a Palestinian state at the U.N. General Assembly this week.

Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo told parliament Wednesday that Spain would support the Palestinian bid at the U.N., because it feels it is the best way to advance toward peace.

As TheBlaze reported on Tuesday, France became the first major European country to come out in favor of U.N. recognition, a move seen as a setback for Israel. The timing of the French move seemed to be rooted in an attempt to sway other European nations in the same direction. In Spain’s case, such a notion took root. “

Regulators Are Tough

Sportfishing Magazine Reports

” The Queen Bee’s amazing trans-oceanic story has finally come full circle. Many anglers and boaters heard the story of the 26-foot Regulator and how its occupants were tossed overboard by a rogue wave off Nantucket, Massachusetts, in 2008″

Here we are shown the Greek crisis for what it is . Hardly the main event …. Much more are their miseries and suffering , self-inflicted though they are , just the opening act for the main event forming up backstage as we speak .

Yes … We refer to Italy and Spain . Both with their own variety of the same basic tax&spend malady and nary a physician in sight .

There are lessons here for November should we choose to face the reality of our situation  . With America only baby steps behind the PIIGS , will the electorate become fully aware of the financial cliff rushing towards us , not-withstanding the MSM’s/Dems (oxymoron?) lemming like drive FORWARD …..

“The third and final reason why the relief rally ended so quickly: Greece was the curtain raiser for the European meltdown, but it is ultimately a sideshow. Europe has moved on now; we are worried about Spain and Italy now. The Greek election doesn’t solve any of Europe’s real problems. Greece can and probably will make Europe’s problems worse, but nothing that
happens in Greece can save the euro.
As interest rates on Italian debt passed 6 percent (the crisis threshold) and for Spain they
passed 7 percent (apocalyptic), Europe edged a little closer to the precipice this morning. The
Greek election went as well as could be expected, and better than feared, but Europe’s problems just keep getting worse all the same.”
