A Sipsey Street Public Service Announcement: The Connecticut Tyrants List, Voluntarily Subscribed by The Participants On 3 April 2013.

” The state of Connecticut is making lists of firearm owners to raid. It seems obvious to me that it is thus only fair to list those anti-constitutional tyrants who will have blood on their hands the moment the first Connecticut citizen is shot by the CT state police while carrying out their orders. I will be sending these folks my own email later today.

AN ACT CONCERNING GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND CHILDREN’S SAFETY

Who Is Your State’s Most Notorious? UPDATE: This Map Contains Both Inaccuracies And At Least One Possibly Innocent Man.

The folks at Mandatory put together this handy dandy map detailing the most awful people in America, state by state.

” This isn’t about the rude cashier at the bank around the corner or that guy who stands on the corner yelling tacky things at women all day. We’re talking serial killers, cult leaders, and mass murderers.

Who’s the worst from your state?”

Senators Kill Amendments Tied To Bill On Immigration; Border Security Issue Put On Back Burner

” The Senate immigration bill survived its first tests Thursday as a core group of Republicans and Democrats held together, killing efforts to require full border security requirements before legalizing illegal immigrants.

Kicking off the first votes on immigration this year, the Judiciary Committee held a daylong session on border security where senators agreed to require that the entire southwestern border be secured to 90 percent “efficiency.”

But the committee defeated Republican efforts to put that requirement and others before legalization. Members also rejected following through on a 2006 law that ordered the government to build 700 miles of two-tier fencing on the 2,000-mile-long border.”

A Look Deep Inside The Gang of Eight Bill — And How They’ll Sell Immigration Reform To Conservatives

” The short version of their case: The Gang proposal will be tough, tough, tough; it will be based on stringent requirements that security measures be in place before many of its provisions take effect; it will avoid the moral danger of rewarding those who entered the country illegally; and it will take care to protect the U.S. economy.  And then there will be a final, mostly whispered, argument: If Congress doesn’t pass the Gang bill, Barack Obama might unilaterally legalize the millions of illegal immigrants in the country today in an adult version of his Dream Act decree, doing so without securing the border in an act that would be impossible for a future president to reverse.

In sum, what the Gang is planning is a sales job followed by a nightmare scenario.

First the toughness.  The bill will be based on a three-part enforcement scheme. First is a universal E-Verify system, which means that every business in America, even those that have one, two, or three employees, will be required to comply with the federal E-Verify law.  Every person hired in every business will have to produce either a passport or a driver’s license from a state that requires proof of citizenship for a driver’s license.

Second is an entry and exit system at all airports and seaports that will track visa holders to ensure that they do not overstay their allotted time in the country.

Third is border security, which the Gang will define as 100 percent “situational awareness” — that is, surveillance of the entire border — plus the ability to catch 90 percent of the people who try to cross it illegally.

The GOP Gang members know full well that the federal government has promised all those measures and more over the years, and the border is still not secure and businesses still hire illegal immigrants.  For example, Congress has passed multiple laws requiring entry-exit systems similar to what the Gang will propose, and the system has never been built.  So Gang members know that conservatives, at least, will be skeptical.”

REPORT: ‘GANG OF EIGHT’ TO OPPOSE AMENDMENTS TO THEIR IMMIGRATION BILL

” In response to Nakamura’s article on Monday, Gang of Eight member Sen. Marco Rubio’s spokesman Alex Conant told Breitbart News that his description of the process being worked on is not correct. “The legislation that the eight senators are working on is only the start of the process; we expect several committee hearings, a full debate, and an open process for other senators to offer amendments,” Conant said. “It’s premature to speculate about what sort of amendments might be offered, but if another senator offers an amendment that improves the legislation consistent with the principles Senator Rubio has outlined, then I would expect members of the group of eight to support it.”

But Rubio’s words are unlikely to do much to assuage the concerns of conservative Republicans in Congress, especially as fellow Gang of Eight member New York Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Sen. Pat Leahy, and other Democrats appear poised to rush whatever bill the bipartisan group comes up with through as fast as they can once the legislative text is presented.

Nakamura notes the bill is expected to be around 1,500 pages long, and that the Gang of Eight “is trying to strike a deal in which all the members agree to oppose any amendments to the core provisions, even if they might agree with the amendments, people familiar with the talks said.”

News Reports: Democrats, Republicans and NRA Work Together on Gun Confiscation Deal

” The NRA is vigorously denying an NBCNews.com report saying that the NRA is cutting a backroom deal with Congress (including Congressional Republicans) that would allow for universal background checks and the creation of a vast federal database identifying all (legal) gun owners. In exchange for this alleged deal, Democrats will back off from accusing the NRA and Republicans from refusing to act following the Sandy Hook Tragedy.

According to NBCNews.com:

Senators negotiating a bill mandating background checks for all gun buyers are privately expecting the National Rifle Association not to fight the measure — provided the legislation does not require private gun sellers to maintain records of the checks, NBC News has learned.

If that requirement is met and key Republican negotiator Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma signs on, the powerful gun lobby has signaled to lawmakers that they would not actively oppose the bill — and not count votes in favor of it as part of its highly influential NRA lawmaker ratings — according to Senate aides familiar with the stalled negotiations.”

We have an absolutely worthless republican leadership in the Senate … Throw the bums out … Cowards , Bastards , Traitors … Rot in Hell

Even if the NRA is not involved in any deal-making, it appears that Congressional Republicans are trying to cut a deal that they hope will stop Democrats and the media from claiming that Republicans refuse to do anything to help prevent another Sandy Hook. Ammoland reported that:

Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor is leading the charge to give Obama and Holder what they want in exchange for appearing to be ‘fixing’ the problem of innocent children being butchered in our public and private schools.

If Ammoland is correct that Republicans are making a deal on gun control, it appears that the rot goes all the way to the top. Again, from Ammoland:

Newly appointed Republican Judiciary Chairman, Bob Goodlatte R-VA 6th District, is providing political cover for the sneaky back room gun control deals and gun grabbing sell outs that his political masters – – John Boehner and Eric Cantor – are cutting [deals] with Obama and his corrupt Attorney General, Eric Holder.”

The Enablers

” In the age old tradition of dinner before dalliance, John McCain and Lindsay Graham were treated to a quiet date night with Barack Obama last Wednesday, which is more foreplay than the rest of us get from the President as he proceeds to consummate his intentions on America in more ways than even Dr. Ruth can count.  “I’m assuming the president wants to talk seriously about the issues of the day,” cooed Senator Graham, innocently batting his rhetorical eyelashes with the preposterous addendum that, “I’m encouraged by the president’s outreach [and] I hope it bears fruit.”   Yes yes, and if only King Leonidas had announced his encouragement at the outreach of Xerxes toward Sparta, all that unpleasantness at Thermopylae might have been avoided too.”

Filibusted: Outreach Supper with Graham & McCain Leads to $600 Billion Tax Hike Proposal

For Shame

” The price of Senators McCain and Graham attending an ‘outreach dinner‘ with the president may wind up costing taxpayers$600 billion more in taxes. And you thought the only price paid would be to their image.

The old guard acts like it hasn’t been notified of New Media yet; and is seemingly unfathoming of such things that #StandwithRand was the top Twitter trend in the world the previous night starting at 10:30 p.m., and had enough tweets at over 1 million (combined with a few other related hashtags) to rival the State of the Union address’ 1.3 million.”

Retired General Tells Biden: Military Can Help With Gun Control Agenda

Patriots , this kind of leadership is what should give us all cause for concern that the military has become just another tool of statism .

” Ahead of a Senate hearing on gun control today, Vice President Joe Biden met with retired military officials to thrash out a strategy to win over public approval for the implementation of strict anti-gun measures.

Retired general Stephen Xenakis told The Hill that he suggested to Biden that members of the military could help the White House move forward with its gun control agenda.

“The vice president understands that when it comes to communicating with credibility on guns, the two groups with the most credibility are law enforcement and military officials,” he said. “We have experience with both having weapons and using them responsibly, so we can get that message out.”

Xenakis said that military officials would be on hand to pitch gun control talking points to the public.

“He has a plan and he’s working with leaders in Congress to get it done.” Xenakis said of the Vice President.

Xenakis also appeared in a new “Demand a Plan” gun control advocating commercial this week, featuring several other retired army generals, put out by the Mayors Against Illegal Guns group, fronted by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.”

Why On Earth Indeed ?

Any Congressman that signs on to this blatant intrusion into our country’s domestic affairs should be hung from the nearest lamppost . Can you say traitor boys and girls ?

” Opposition to a proposed United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) is growing over concerns about its possible implications for America’s sovereignty and interests.

As Heritage’s Kim Holmes explains in the Washington Times, the language in the draft circulated at the U.N. this week would harm law-abiding nations like the United States while allowing the true offenders to carry on with their arms trafficking.

Under the rhetoric of international security and justice, member states of the U.N. are working on a legally binding treaty to regulate the sale or transfer of all kinds of arms, which treaty supporters say contribute to human rights abuses, violence, crime, and terrorism around the world. But the U.N. continued to undermine its credibility and contradict its own intentions by electing Iran to a top post at the treaty conference, even though the Security Council had recently found that Iran had transferred weapons to Syria “

We are in serious trouble when the alleged “freedom loving” republicans controlling the House pass a snooping bill .

” Facebook and other tech companies, and various business groups support the bill. Civil
and digital liberties groups have raised objections, however, over whether the bill would
expand government surveillance of private citizens.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation issued a condemnation of the House for its vote, and pledged to continue its fight against the legislation in the Senate.
“Hundreds of thousands of Internet users spoke out against this bill, and their numbers will only
grow as we move this debate to the Senate,” said EFF activism director Rainey Reitman in a statement issued after the House vote. “
